Pt. 3 (Final)

Summary: You have gone unnoticed your whole life but now the hottest boy on Kildare has paid attention to you, why?

Author Note: This is based on the after movie, I just loved the concept behind it so I made a take on it. Basically, Topper and Kelce challenge Rafe to get you to sleep with him and say ‘I love you’, but what he didn’t expect was to truly fall for you, but will it all end when you find out?

You and Rafe have been together for about 3 weeks now and it has been nothing short of amazing, you spent every second with each other when you weren’t busy with other things. You spent a lot more nights fumbling in the sheets and a lot more nights talking about life. You and Rafe shared beautiful memories together and the one that stood out the most was the night he told you he loved you.

You two sat on the beach watching the sunset, celebrating your two weeks together, yes two weeks is cheesy, but it was special, he was special, and he wanted to show you how much you meant to him. You two sat down with a glass of champagne with a blanket wrapped around you. He was watching your every move, your every breath, completely infatuated with you. He grabbed your chin and pulled you to him, he laid a kiss on your lips, “Y/N, I need to tell you something” he looked worried and nervous. “Is everything okay?” you questioned, worried about his shift in demeanor. He nodded, “I know we have not been together for long, but there is something about you that every time I see you, I catch my breath. When you leave, I miss your smell and your touch and your goofy laugh. I love your laugh when I put my hands on your hips and you giggle at how ticklish you are, I love how you never make me feel uneasy and how you always stand by my side. I love how you make me feel like I am the only one. Basically, what I am trying to say is I am in love with you Y/N, and I fall harder everyday” he said, and you saw his eyes glisten almost as if he was about to cry. He didn’t know what to say because you were silent for a little. “I don’t expect you to say it back, but I needed you to know” you kissed him, shutting him up. “Rafe, do you know how in love with you I am” and his face grew the biggest smile, “Y/N, no measure of time with you will ever be long enough, but how about we start with forever” he said, famously quoting a move you two have come to love, twilight. You smiled, God, you loved him. “And so, the lion fell in love with the lamb” you laughed, and he joined in.

You hadn’t been to a party in a while as every time one came up Rafe would talk you out of going and you two would stay, He also spent little to no time with his friends and you weren’t sure why, did they have a fight that you didn’t know about. You did not mind because you got more time with him.

That all changed as tonight there was a massive end of summer partying happening and everyone was going, you hadn’t spent a lot of time with your friends so you figured this would be a good way to see them, both parts of the island would be at the party. It was being hosted by a guy by the name of Jason and he interacted with both kooks and pogues, he did not care for labels he just wanted to throw a massive party, project x style.

Rafe came to your house early, while you got dressed, although as he sat on your bed he was fumbling with his hands, and he looked very nervous, and you had no idea why. Little to your knowledge, Rafe’s month was up, and he was scared to his Topper, for incase he ran his mouth and told you, he never wanted you to find out about this.

You put on a flowing summer dress and threw on some sneakers; you left your hair straight as it was and did light makeup. Rafe was wearing one of his famous polo shirts and shorts. You turned to him when you were done with your makeup, “My love, are you okay?” you asked him and he looked up at you, “Mmhm” was all he muttered back. “We don’t have to go if you don’t want to” you said now sitting next to him. “No, I am okay. You ready?” he said giving you a kiss and you nodded, you sprayed some perfume and you two were off. Rafe had to try his hardest to not let you talk to Topper, he had to speak to him first.

You eventually arrived at the party and walked straight up to your friends to greet them while Rafe went to get you guys’ drinks. You watched his motions as he moved through the crowd, purposefully avoided Topper, and Kelce, what was going on with him. The party went on and he made small conversation with some other friends while you stayed talking to yours, he eventually found himself sitting on a couch and to his demise Topper sat across from him. You saw him get visibly uncomfortable and had no idea why, as you were walking up to him you noticed Topper call a girl over, and she was beautiful. A tall, skinny brunette, you recognized her, she was obsessed with your boyfriend, it made your blood boil. Before you could make it to him, you watched her b-line straight for Rafe and sat directly on his lap. You were now fuming, but almost immediately his pushed her off and you silently loved him for that. You still walked over to them and heard Topper say, “Come on man, the jig is up, you can do what you want now” and you were confused by what he meant. “Hey boys” you said sitting on Rafe’s lap and his arm snaked around your waist, but he moved uncomfortably underneath you. Topper looked at you with a weird grin and you had no idea what was about to happen. “So, Y/N, tell me, how is it going with this new relationship” the way he said it didn’t sit well with you and he put air quotes around ‘relationship’ which was weird. “It is going well Top. Thanks” you snapped back playing with back of Rafe’s hair. “Yea, I am sure it is” he said laughing. “What is your problem, Topper?” you said now voice just under yelling at him. “I have no problem with you, just with your so-called boyfriend here” he said, you looked at Rafe and he was staring him down. “Don’t Top” Rafe said, now angry. “Oh, come on man, don’t you think you should give it a rest now, you already got what you wanted” his words shot into you like daggers. You looked at Rafe, waiting for him to say something. “Topper, shut up” Rafe yelled back, now standing and he pulled you behind him.

What is going on.

“You did it man, you finally fucked her, and a virgin too. No doubt she uttered the words I love you at one point” he said with a snarl, looking directly at you. “Rafe, what is he talking about?” you said pulling away from him and this is when all his attention turned to you. “Y/N, let’s leave and let me explain” he pleaded but you did not budge. “Don’t you see Y/N, this was all a game. You were a challenge and the man himself did it. You remember that night her came and spoke to you on the beach and your romance blossomed after, yea I challenged him to see if he could get you to sleep with him within a month and then tell him you loved him, and you did just that” he said with a harsh tone. Those words broke and shattered you. “Shut the fuck up, Topper” Rafe was yelling. “Y/N, baby, please, let’s go” Rafe pleaded with you. It was now just you two, Topper walked away as what he needed to do was done.

“You slept with me as a fucking challenge? So, it was all a lie? You never loved me? You just wanted to get in my pants and then what, leave me like I was nothing?” I said to him with tears streaming down my face and you could see him crying too. “No baby”, “DON’T FUCKING CALL ME THAT RAFE” I yelled at him, and he flinched at your words. “At first yes, but after that day at the beach, it all changed. Loving you was never a lie Y/N. I love you, you are my world. Please, let’s talk about this. I was going to tell Topper I didn’t want to do it because I got to know you” he pleaded. “You think that makes it better? That you suddenly got a good conscious after you spoke to me? No Rafe, it doesn’t work like that, I fucking trusted you, and you broke me. I gave you a piece of myself that no one has had, I fucking loved you. You will never touch nor talk to me again. Just leave me alone, I should of never trusted you” you said crying and you turned to walk away but he grabbed your wrist and pulled you to him. You pushed him away and he let you. “Never touch me again. We are done Rafe, congratulations, you won your challenge, hope it was worth it" you said and finally left. You heard him shout to you, “Y/N, please don’t leave me. Please, don’t leave us.” you could tell he was crying. You ran away leaving Rafe there a shattered shell of a man. You ran past the pogues, and they followed the direction in which you came from and saw Rafe crying too, Kie followed me to find out what’s wrong while Pope, JJ and John B went to Rafe.

You were close enough to hear their conversation, “What the fuck did you do man” JJ said pushing Rafe’s chest. Topper came into view to stir the pot more, “Oh you didn’t hear, Rafe fucked Y/N on a dare” he laughed, he was such a disgusting human being. “You what?” John B said, now visibly angry, Kie also caught wind of that and pulled you into her arms. The rest of the night was a blur, but you remember hearing fists collide with faces until a full-blown fight broke out. Rafe took the punches from the pogues, he deserved it. “Rafe, if you ever go near her, ever, I will kill you” JJ said one last time before running up to you, you were too weak to move. He picked you up and carried you away, Rafe watched through bruised eyes and a bloody nose as his entire world was being ripped from him.

RAFE’S POV:

I watched her eyes well with tears as she processed what Topper had just said, I never wanted her to find out this way or find out at all. She hated me; I could not blame her. I watched her run away from me and then I was met with John B’s fist to my face, I took it. I promised her I would not fight, and I deserve these hits, I broke her. I broke the love of my life. Hit after hit, JJ eventually grabbed my shirt and pulled my face from watching her. “Rafe, if you ever go near her, ever, I will kill you” he said to me and I could not blame him, I did this. I watched him pick her up and carry her away and a part of me hated him holding her so close, but I knew they would be the ones she needed right now. I looked at Topper after most people left after the fight ended.

I pushed him to the ground, “Yo, what the fuck dude?” he said getting back up and dusting the sand off him. “She deserved to know man, not like you care right?” he said again. “Topper, hear me clearly, if I ever so much as see you around, I will kill you. I fucking love her man, and she did not deserve that” I snarled at him. “Whatever man” he said and if I had to look at him for one more second, I would hurt him. I walked back to my car, crying, angry and my head was all over the place. I got into my car and cried and screamed for what felt like hours, how could I have done this to her. I couldn’t bear to go home, and face people, I just needed to be alone. I drove to the place where we had our first date and the first place that I told her I loved her. When I arrived there, it was dark and the only light was the moonlight, but as I pulled up, I saw someone sitting on the beach alone. The minute I saw her hair blow in the wind and her signature, oversized nirvana tee, I knew it was her, it was Y/N.

Y/N’S POV:

JJ carried me to the twinkie as I felt like I physically could not walk, he placed me down on the backseat and they all sat around me, we had a new member join since the last time, John B and Sarah started dating, which is funny cause Sarah is Rafe’s sister and seeing her only reminded me of him, so I began crying again.

“Y/N, what happened?” John B asked carefully, placing his hand on mine. They all looked at you with sad, soft eyes. “Uhm, basically Rafe only got with me as a challenge from his friends. He was basically challenged to see if he could get me to sleep with him and for me to say I love him, which I did and now I don’t know what to think” I said through tears. “I’m going to kill him” JJ said with rage, standing up. “No, please” I said crying and he stopped and sat back down. “Y/N, I am so sorry, I never thought he could do something so cruel, but if it makes any difference, I don’t think his love was fake, you should’ve seen how he spoke about you” Sarah said trying to help. “Thanks Sarah, but I don’t think I can trust anything he says or ever look at him again” I said. They all nodded and there was silence for a while. “Uhm, would you mind driving me home, I think I just need to be alone” I asked, and John B nodded “Of course Y/N, anything you need” and with that they drove you home and watched you walk inside reminding you that they were always a phone call away. Except you did not plan on staying home, when they left you took your moms keys and drove to the beach, yours, and his beach.

You arrived there and were happy to see that no one was there, you got out the car and went to go sit down, the ocean lit by the moonlight and listening to the sounds of the waves crashing was soothing you, but you could still feel your heart crumble. You were only there for a but when you heard a car pull up, you had an idea of who it might be, and you really hoped it wasn’t.

He walked up to you slowly, but you didn’t dare turn around and look. He sat down next to you, you got the familiar scent of his cologne, and you knew it was him, but you still could not look at him.

You heard him sniff under his breath, you knew he had been crying as you saw out of the corner of your eyes him wipe his tears. “Hi” you heard him say softly, but you could not reply to him, you could not pretend to try and make conversation with the man that just ripped your heart out. “I know I am probably the last person you want to talk to right now but” and you stopped him. “No Rafe, you don’t get to speak. It’s now my time to speak.” You were practically yelling, but not daring to look at him. “You fucked up Rafe, you broke me and for what some stupid challenge. I didn’t deserve this, and you know what the dumbest part of this whole thing is? I actually believed that you loved me as much as I loved you. I gave you every part of me and it was all a joke to you. Guess we had different ideas of forever. I never and I repeat, never, want to see you again Rafe. I mean that, don’t talk to me, don’t look for me, just don’t. I am done. We are done.” I finally said in a huff, and I was crying again. Those words cut him deep, he never wanted to lose you and that is exactly what happened.

“Okay Y/N” he said between tears himself. “I just want you to know, it was never a joke to me. And I still and always will love you. You are my forever” he said and then got up to leave with not another word. As he drove off you couldn’t help the cries that escaped you, they engulfed you and consumed you, you felt your heart breaking all over again. The emotions got too much, and you just had to lay your head down, you never expected to fall in love with Rafe Cameron and you certainly never expected him to rip your heart out like it was nothing. Before you knew it you had fallen asleep on the beach, you woke up to the bright sun in your eyes and saw that the sun was just rising. You sat up with puffy eyes and a sore throat form the screams you let out, all the memories from last night came rushing back and your heart ached again. You know you needed to go home, to wash off this sadness and just lie in bed. You got home and your mom was so happy to see you, she had no idea where you were, but she took one look at your swollen eyes and knew something was wrong. “Oh honey, what’s wrong?” she asked apologetically. “Rafe and I broke up last night, but I really don’t want to get into it. I just want to go to my room, okay” you said to her trying not to cry again and she nodded understanding. You walked yourself up to your bathroom, you took a long shower just letting the hot water run over you, it was water mixed with tears, but you had to get it out. You eventually got out the shower and put on some pjs, you climbed in bed and practically slept the whole day, you received multiple texts from your friends, but you had no energy to reply, and you didn’t want to see people. You just wanted to be alone, the rest of the week was pretty much the same, you didn’t attend school because you couldn’t risk facing him, you knew that one look into his blue yes would send you spiraling again. Little did you know Rafe had also stayed home as he couldn’t face seeing anybody, he stayed cooped up in his room with booze and drugs, to wash out the pain. You never told your parents the real reason as to why you broke up because you couldn’t deal with the embarrassment and questions that would come, so you lied and told them that he didn’t love you anymore. You couldn’t miss another week of school, so come the following Monday, you knew you had to go and potentially come face to face with the man who broke your heart.

RAFE’S POV:

When I left her on the beach, a part of my heart stayed there, I didn’t want to leave, I wanted to stay and fix it, but I know the right thing to do was respect her wishes if I ever intended on getting her back. I can’t go through life without her, knowing what life was like with her, it will never be the same, it will never be enough. I don’t think I left my room the entire week, I couldn’t face the outside world I was so ashamed, and I knew if I went to school, I would have to see her face and see her break all over again and I don’t think I could handle it. I also know that for a fact, if I saw Topper’s face, I would kill him, but he is not at fault, he only told her the things I initially agreed on doing, I am at fault, I did this. I must fix it, I need her.

Y/N’S POV:

I woke up Monday morning, absolutely dreaded it, thankfully the pogues had dropped by every day to give me the work that I missed that day and just to check in on me, which I was so thankfully, they never pried, they were just there for me. JJ spent the most time with me, he would make me food, watch movies with me and just be there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on, I am forever thankful for him, and I know how far he would go to protect me. He hated Rafe now more than ever, and he never hid it, he made it known, he made it known that Rafe would never have the chance to hurt me again because he would not get close enough. He came straight to you the Monday, he insisted on taking you to school, you truly didn’t think you could love a human more than JJ, other than Rafe, but that was not something I wanted to think about.

I put minimal effort into what I wore, shorts and a baggy sweater, paired with some sneakers, I didn’t bother with makeup, because I had no intention of looking decent, I had no energy to do that. I had just finished packing my bag when I heard a soft knock on my bedroom door, “Come in” I said, faintly. JJ walked into my room followed by John B, who you weren’t expecting but you were so thankful that you had the two of them otherwise you had no idea what you would do. “Hey my boys” you said to them, “Hey gorgeous” John B said back. “Hey Y/N/N, you ready to face the music that is school” JJ said with a smile, trying to lighten the mood. “Not really but I have to do it at some point, so” you said softly, and they smiled innocently at you. “Don’t worry, you have us” John B said grabbing your hand and fragging you downstairs and into the twinkie much to your fighting. The drive to school was silent as you really didn’t want to speak, and you didn’t have the energy or anything to say. You arrived at school and had to fight the urge to not run straight home as soon as you exited the twinkie, but you put on a brave face and walked through the main doors, thankful to have John B and JJ on either side of you. By now everyone knew what happened and some felt bad for you while the rest thought you were pathetic. Throughout the day you had countless of Rafe’s followers say horrible things to you and you had to try suppress the tears, things like “I knew he would never go after someone like you” and “You were never pretty enough for him anyways, makes sense it was only a dare” and the worst of all was “So sad to see that he literally only fucked you on a dare, how pathetic. He is too good for you, you were just a rebound, you aren’t good enough for him.” and that comment came from an ex of his that was obsessed with him, that one pushed you over the edge.

She had come up to you will you were getting book out your locker, once she said that you ran for the doors of the school not wanting to be there anymore. You made it to the parking lot and saw the one person who would make this situation 10x worse. It was him, standing next not his car, he was waiting for someone, but you were not sure who or why he was not in school. He didn’t see you at first but then as you were walking away his eyes caught on to you and he ran up to you. “Y/N, please stop.” He said, now standing in front of you. He saw the tears falling down your face and it broke him. “What happened? Who did this” he was now angry. “It does not matter Rafe, I am no longer your concern. Now please move, I want to leave.” you said sniffling.

It was at that moment that the same girl that had just said these things to you, that put you in this position came bobbing down the steps of the school, walking straight towards Rafe, although her demeanor turned sour when she saw he was with you. Rafe saw the look on your face when you saw her, and it clicked that she might have had something to do with the state you are in. He looked at her and then back at you, “Y/N, did she do or say something to you?” he questioned, but you could hear the seething in his voice. “Like I said it does not matter Rafe. Nice to see it took you but a mere few days to get under someone else, decent” you said looking at him, absolutely broken still. You hate how he had this effect on you, even after wat he did. “Y/N, it is not like that. You are the only girl I want, that part has not changed.” He said, looking heartbroken himself. “Whatever, save it Rafe, enjoy your time, I am leaving”. And before he could say anything else, you left. The minute you got out of his sight, you could not stop the tears that fell, this was all too much, you couldn’t be around him without every flooding back.

RAFE’S POV:

I did not intend on seeing her today, but the sight of her always warms my heart, even though she wants nothing to do with me. I had come to the school to see Alice, and tell her to stop harassing me, the girl won’t leave me alone after she found out about me and Y/N splitting. But there was no other girl I wanted, I just wanted Y/N. Then I saw her, my whole happiness, walk out of the school in tears and my heart sunk. The last time I saw her like that was because of me, and I hated seeing her like that. I ran up to her to ask what was wrong, but of course she would not tell me, why would she, she owes me nothing. I knew the basis of what happened with the way she practically ran when she saw Alice and her head filled with all sorts of things. She took off before I could really tell her why I was there, but all I saw was red. I walked up to Alice and her smile turned into a frown when she saw that I was not the happiest person.

“Alice, what the fuck did you say to Y/N?” I was practically yelling at her. She just smiled an evil smirk at me and that made my blood boil. “Nothing she doesn’t already know. That you basically fucked her on a dare, and she was never good enough for you anyway. Rafe, you know we belong together.” She said to me and placed her arm on my bicep. I removed it and she looked shocked, which I have no idea why because I have given her no indication that I want to be with her, ever. “Alice, stay away from her and stay away from me. If I catch wind that you have said anything to her, you will have to deal with me. I mean it, when I say, you and I will never happen.” I said back to her. She opened her mouth to say something, but I had no interest in hearing. “Save it” I said once more before walking to my car leaving her there. I got in my car and drove to Y/N’s place, hoping to catch her on the way as I figured she must have walked home.

As I was driving, going over thoughts in my head on what to say to her. To my luck, there she was, walking along the side of the road.

Y/N’S POV:

The walk home was ominous, I knew something was going to happen and I was not sure I was ready for it. Then suddenly, I hear a car pull up, and I knew who it was without even having to look. I kept walking; I did not want to talk to him. “Y/N, please wait” I heard him shout after he had slammed the car door shut. I turned around to face him, “What Rafe? Why can’t you leave me alone? Do you not see how much you are hurting me?” I said, not holding back my anger and tears. He just stared at me, not able to say anything, he was taken back by your anger towards him, and he could not blame you. “What do you fucking want Rafe?” I said again. “I want you” he finally said, but he wasn’t angry. “You fucking had me, and you fucked up. This is your fault. I don’t want this anymore Rafe, I don’t want to feel like this anymore, it is killing me. Seeing you, kills me. Hearing your voice or your name, kills me. God, everything about you kills me.” I was shouting at him now and a little too close to his face for my liking right now. You could feel his breath on your face, you two were very close to one another. “I know, do you not think it doesn’t go through my mind every second of every day. How I fucked up the only happiness in my life. I fucking know, you don’t have to remind me. I fucked up, Y/N and I am sorry. God, I am so fucking sorry” he was yelling but his voice got softer towards the end. “You, you were everything to me, you still are. What I did was fucking horrible and I will do whatever I have to make it up to you. You were never a regret or a mistake, you were and are my whole world. At first, it was a challenge, then I got to know you and I was fully in, and I know that doesn’t make it better, but it is the truth. One look at you and I knew it was forever, that we were forever. God, I am so in love with you it consumes me. Every day you are all I think about, you are my early morning and late night. I know this is so much coming from someone you haven’t known for that long, but when you know you just know. And I know I do not want to spend my life without you. You are my breath of fresh air, everything in my life seems to fall right into place when I am around you and when I am not around you, I am lost, please come back to me. Come back to us”

You cut him off by kissing him, something in you tried to stop it but you couldn’t, you couldn’t shut down how you felt for him. He was shocked at first but almost instantly fell into it, he cupped your face in his hands and kissed you like he was a desert longing for rain. You let it go on for a bit then pulled away and took a step back, “Sorry, uhm, I should not have done that” I said looking down at the floor. He grabbed your chin and made you look up at him, “Never apologize for that” he said now smiling, but no matter what he said, or did you could not shake what he did, but could you let this incident destroy you two possibly spending your life together, or at least a part of it.

You took a step back but only to be stopped by him, he looked his fingers through your pants loop and pulled you closer to him, “Please, don’t push me away Y/N, please” he was so close to you again. “Fuck” was all he muttered under his breath, you continued looking down afraid to look up at him, knowing looking into his eyes would be all it would take to go back to him, and you weren’t sure you were ready. “I am so in love with you” he said again under his breath. And you knew that you were in love with him too. You looked up at him and into his blue eyes, “Rafe, what you did, broke me. I don’t know if I can forgive you for that.” You said and you could see his eyes well up with tears. “But I also know I will never forgive myself if I don’t give us another shot” you said, and he brought along a small smile to his lips.

“Rafe, this will take time, but I believe in you, in us. But mark my words, if this ever happens again, that is it, Rafe. No more, I will not do this again.” I said firmly. He grabbed my hands in his. “I am never letting you go, and mark my words when I say, I am going to marry you one day” he said smiling so brightly. I couldn’t help the smile that engulfed me, he made me feel things like no other, and I couldn’t deny that the thought of forever with him was music to my ears. “I love you Rafe” was all I said before he caught me in a kiss. “I love you too, princess” there he went again with his stupid nickname, but I couldn’t care to say anything, in this moment I was happy.

The drive home from the beach was silent but peaceful, Rafe at one point laid he hand on tip of your thigh, and you let it stay. Just before you got home, you had a burning question that you had to ask. “Rafe, can I ask you something” you questioned “Of course, you can ask me anything” he said back. “Uhm, how come you’ve never spoken to me before the party, I mean we have been to many of the same parties, yet you had no idea who I was so what changed?” you questioned him. He took a while to answer and that made you a bit uncomfortable, was I another conquest?

“Look, I can’t lie to you and say I’ve noticed you before, but when I saw you at that party, I knew I had to talk to you. Yes, it was partly because of what you were wearing but then I saw who you were, and something clicked, I do know you, you just looked different. Then when I spoke to you and you gave me such attitude, I was highly drawn to you, and I like a girl that does not hold back her tongue. I had to see it out. Today confirmed that, I want to get to know you more and more.” He said to you with a smile. You didn’t know how to feel about his answer, but it was too early to tell if he was in it for the sex or to actually get to know me.

As he pulled up into your driveway, you noticed all the house lights were off, which makes sense that your parents would be out as it is a Saturday night. Before you got out the car you turned to him, “Rafe, you need to prove that you are serious about this, I don’t know about the other girls you have been with, but I will not sleep with you on the first date, understand?” you questioned him. “You know Y/N, I don’t only want sex all the time, much to your shock, I actually want to get to know you and maybe develop something more” he said with a nervous smile. You leaned over the console and gave him a short but sweet kiss, nothing too much and then pulled away, “Thank you for today, Rafe. I had an amazing time, surprisingly” you said with a giggle. “Anything for you, princess. There are many more to come” he said back, and with that you got out the car and walked inside, noticing that he only left when you were safely in your house.

When you got up to your room, you had to take a shower and wash off the salty water. You came back to your room and noticed you had a few messages, having not checked your phone the whole day. You had a few from the pogues asking where you were and some from your parents telling you they were heading to an event and that they would only be back later. And then surprisingly one from Rafe, you can’t deny that your heart fluttered, and you were blushing like crazy. It read “My princess, thank you for the amazing day, you free tomorrow?” you could not stop smiling so you texted back, “Missing me already, how sweet. Why, what do you have in mind” you sent back and with in minutes you received a reply. “Topper is throwing a party tonight; would you like to accompany me?” that would mean you would have to attend a kook party and you didn’t know how to feel about that, also would you go with Rafe as his girl or as a friend. You replied “I don’t know, on a Sunday night? And would I go as your friend or something more?”, you might have come on a little to forward but you weren’t about to go to a party with people you don’t know or hang with and have him abandon you for another girl, cause then you were out.

He replied almost instantly, “You would be with me noxiously, and yes, a Sunday that’s how we do it. And I can almost see those thoughts in your head, I won’t leave you stranded, you got me, I told you I was all in” and your heart practically jumped out of your chest, it was like he answered all your questions without you having to say something. “Okay Rafe, I will go with you, pick me up yea?” you sent back. “Of course, princess. Can’t let my beautiful girl arrive alone” he sent back, and you felt like you stopped breathing, he called you his girl, but how many did he have before me. You won’t deny that you weren’t skeptical about his past but as far as you recall he has never had a serious relationship only ever hookups so will I be different?

“I’m not your girl, what time?” you sent back, “Not yet, let’s say around 9?”, you sent one last reply before getting dressed and going to bed, “Alright, see you tomorrow” and with that you switched your phone off and went to bed.

Your dad unfortunately woke you up the next morning to run errands with him, it consisted of the hardware store since he insisted on fixing the porch swing and some grocery shopping mom had asked us to get while we were out. I figured because we were at the mall, I might try and find something to wear to the party, I had to impress his kook friends after all. You walked into this one store, and you cannot remember the name if it was illuminated with a sign. You find a skimpy little black dress and some strappy heels. You were planning on pairing it with a cute lace red lingerie set. It was perfect and you secretly hoped Rafe would like it.

The day seemed to have gone by quite quickly and when you looked at the time it was 8:30, you had 30 minutes to fix yourself. Shit, you muttered to yourself. You quickly showered and curled your hair decided to leave it down, you got dressed and did some light makeup, your parents were quite relaxed with you, when you turned 18, they kind of let you do your own thing. You said your goodbyes after you saw your text from Rafe saying that he was outside, they gave you the regular, be home at a reasonable time speech and be safe. They knew Rafe as they were quite good friends with Ward so they thought he was the greatest thing ever, clearly not hearing the rumours circling him. You walked out of your house and Rafe hadn’t noticed you yet but when he looked up and saw you, he was breath taken, you were so gorgeous and you looked incredible, that dress was really working for you. You got in the car and Rafe had not noticed how he watched you from your door until you were in his car. “Hi, uhm Rafe, hello” you said as you were in the car, but he couldn’t snap out of it “RAFE” you slightly raised your voice. “Uhm Y/N, hi, wow, uhm you look, wow. Beautiful” he finally said, and you couldn’t stop the red rising to your cheeks. “Thank you, shall we go” you said giggling.

You two drove there making small conversation about your day and the whole time his hand rested on your thigh with your hand on top of his, your skin burned at his touch. You finally arrived at Topper’s house and there were so many cars outside that your nerves started acting up. Rafe grabbed your hand, “hey, you’ll be okay, you have me” he said reassuring you, he got out the car and came over to your side to open the door for you. He took your hand in his and intertwined your fingers as you two walked in, everyone’s eyes were on you, Rafe just pulled you closer to him. You walked up to Topper and Kelce, and they gave him a weird look that you didn’t know how to feel about but didn’t think too much into it.

Before Rafe could introduce you, Topper stepped up, “Y/N, I don’t think we have had the pleasure of meeting, how are you?” he asked reaching out a hand, “Hi Top, yea I’m good how are you?”, “I’m good thanks, Rafe hear couldn’t stop speaking about you today” he said and you blushed and Rafe shot him a strange look.

“Hey Rafe, I am going to go get a drink, okay? You want anything?” you asked him, “Please, princess, a whiskey would be lovely” he said kissing your forehead and you went off to find the kitchen.

RAFE’S POV:

I watched her walk through the crowd of people, keeping my eyes on her the whole way as I could see eyes on her, but I promised not fighting so I just must be cautious. But she was gone to the kitchen and Topper pulled me back to him, “Shit Rafe, you got her wrapped around your finger, and might I add she looks fucking sexy, how’s the challenge going, must be hard with her not putting out looking like that?” he said giggling. I couldn’t help but send him a glare, “Don’t talk about her like that man, and I think I want out of this challenge, she is a good person, she doesn’t deserve this”, I snarled at him, and he looked shocked. “Is Rafe Cameron going soft? I just don’t think you can do it” he shot back and that pissed you off, you were never one to back down from a challenge, but I can’t hurt her, she is too good for me or this. “Whatever man” I said back to him, and he had a weird look on his face, and I did not like it.

You and Top sat down on the couch just getting into random conversations when one of my old hookups happened to notice me, she was probably the craziest one of all. As she was walking up to me, I prayed for someone to save me and I was sent an angel, out of nowhere Y/N appeared and I had never been so happy to see her. I pulled her straight onto my lap when she got close enough and laid a gentle kiss on her lips and that made my hookup, Alice, stop and turn around. The rest of the night went on as normal, conversations here and there with random people, Y/N by my side the whole night, I couldn’t help but notice the guys staring at her, but instantly stopped when they noticed she was with me, how did I get this lucky.

We were standing outside by the pool when she said she had to run to the bathroom, on her way there I noticed some guy following her but didn’t think too much of it as it is a party maybe he was just going inside, that was until I heard her scream.

“RAFE” was all I heard, and I have never run so fast.

Y/N’S POV:

I left Rafe to quickly run to the bathroom but noticed that I was being followed I made it to the bathroom when he came up behind me and pushed me against the wall, I turned around and tried to push him off me, but he was too strong. His hand landed on my thigh, and he tried to kiss me, I pushed him again, “Get the fuck off me” I said but still he persisted.

I was getting scared at this point so I yelled for the one person I know would help me, “RAFE” I started crying and pushing at the same time, he got to me and saw what was happening and instantly pushed him to the floor, he looked at me and I was a wreck, and that drove him insane, the fact that another man had his hands on you and that he made you cry. Rafe knows he made a promise to you to not fight but he could not help it, he was so angry. He got on top of him and started punching him relentlessly, the man was lying on the ground lifeless, but he did not stop hitting him.

“Rafe” you cried, and he instantly looked up at you, “Please, I just want to go home” you cried out and that was enough for him, he looked back at the man on the floor. “If you ever so much as fucking look at her again let alone touch her, I will kill you” he said angrily and stood up. He wrapped me in his arm and pulled him to his side, his knuckled were bloody but you didn’t care you just wanted to go home. You got to the car and could not stop crying, what would’ve happened if Rafe was not there or if he did not hear you. You cried more. Rafe started the cry and drove off, wanting you to get out there as fast as possible. He laid his hand on your leg and you couldn’t help but stare at his bloody hands, he spoke up softly, “Y/N, I know you said not to fight but when I saw him on you, I saw red, no one touched my girl ever. I am so sorry this happened, I will never leave you alone again” you just looked at him, “Rafe, thank you, I don’t know what would have happened if you weren’t there, I know I said no fighting but thank you” you said through tears.

“I will always protect you, Y/N. I protect what’s mine” he said and gave your leg a squeeze and you could not help looking at him with such love and admiration. The whole scare of it all has somehow sobered you up, but as you looked up you were in your driveway, but you didn’t want to be alone. “Rafe, do you mind staying with me tonight? I don’t want to be alone” you asked him. He grabbed your face softly and pulled your chin to look at him, “Of course baby girl, anything for you” he said kissing you softly. You two quietly made your way upstairs and to your bedroom. You got the med kit from the bathroom to clean his hands, he thanked you for that, apologising again for fighting.

You ran to the bathroom, to clean your face from your tear-stained makeup and to put on some pajamas, you threw on some shorts and a baggy tee. You walked back into your room to find Rafe already under the sheets, you giggled a little at how comfortable he made himself. You noticed his shirt was on the floor, but you had no problem having his shirtless body hold you against him. You climbed in next to him and he grabbed your waist and pulled you closer to him so that you were flush against his warm body. You turned to face him, and he rubbed his thumb alongside your jaw. “Rafe” you said, “Yes beautiful”, “I need to tell you something”, “You can tell me anything”, he said back softly. “It’s kind of embarrassing” you said digging your face into the crook of his neck. “Baby, I will never judge you” he said. You huffed, he had to know. “I am a virgin” you said blushing and his eyes went wide for a second, but then they softened. “Y/N, you have nothing to be embarrassed about” he said with a small smile. What you didn’t know was that Rafe loved the idea of you being untouched by other men, of you being a clean canvas. “I think I’m ready Rafe” you said to him not being able to look at him, he pulled your face up to his and kissed you softly, he pulled away a little “I will only do this if you are 100% sure” he said kissing me again and I nodded against him.

Rafe rolled over so that he was hovering over me, never breaking our kiss, his slide his one hand behind my back and slipped my shirt over my head, the only time our lips broke apart was for it to go over my head. I almost instantly covered up my now open displayed boobs to him, he sat up and pulled my arms away and looked at me with such adoration. “You never have to cover up, not for me” he said, and you grabbed his face and pulled him back down to you. He broke away again to pull your pants down, happy to see that you were fully naked underneath. You told yourself you wouldn’t lose it to Rafe, but something about this moment and him feels right.

He came back down to kiss, soft and gentle, he moved his one hand to my breast softly cupping them in his hand and playing with my nipple with his thumb and finger. You woke up the next morning early, you were in your last year of school and only a few months left before you graduate. His eyes went wide, and a grin pulled at his lips, “Never ask me that again, cause the answer will always be yes” he said and you two got up to take a shower, nothing happened you two just stood under the water and kissed as much as possible wanting to savour every minute. You two got dressed, Rafe sporting the same clothes as yesterday as he didn’t intend on staying over, you went downstairs to make coffee and breakfast, you two ate and made small talk. He eventually and to go and help his dad with some things. “Okay my love, thank you for breakfast and an incredible night, I will see you later, yes?” he said kissing you goodbye, “Okay, thank you for protecting me last night, I’ll see you later” you said back to him. “Always” he said and walked to his car, you waved him goodbye, and he blew you a kiss and drove off.

You knew you had to tell the pogues about Rafe, but you were dreading it, you wanted to tell them yourself before they found out from someone else. You cleaned up a little and then shot them a message, “Hey gang, we need to talk” they all replied with an “Okay, meet us at the chateau in 20 minutes” so that is what you did. You arrived at your regular hanging place and saw them all sitting there in a fit of giggles, this is going to kill them.

You walked up to them, “Hey guys” you said sheepishly. “Hey Y/N, how are you doing?” JJ asked. They were all looking at you noticing something was wrong. “Are you okay? We haven’t seen you in a bit, did something happen?” John B pressed. “I need to tell you guys something, but I need you to not lose your shit” you said sitting down next to Kie, she placed her hand over yours, squeezing it, reassuring you that whatever you say will be okay, until they found out what it is. “I started dating somebody” you said, and all their eyes went wide, and they all smiled. “No way, who? Do we know him?” Pope asked. “Yea, you guys do know him, quite well actually, but not in the way you think” you said, and they all looked very confused. “Who is it then?” Kie pushed. “It’s uhm, Rafe” you said very lowly looking down at your hands and none of them could say anything, they were too shocked. You looked up at them waiting for one of them to say something to break the silence. “Are you fucking serious Y/N” JJ was practically yelling. “Look, I know he does not have the greatest rep and hasn’t been the greatest person to any of us, but he is good to me” you said on the verge of tears. “This must be a joke, right? Are we being pranked” John B said laughing, but a sarcastic kind of laugh. “After everything he has put us through?” Pope said. “I know, I know” you said lowly. “I never intended for this to happen, but it did, and he makes me happy, I just really wish you guys could support my decision” you said now crying. “Is this where you have been for the past two days?” JJ questioned and you nodded your head. No one said anything for a while until Kie spoke up. “Look Y/N, I can’t lie and say any of us are thrilled that it’s Rafe you are with, but if you are happy so am I” she said squeezing my hand. “I will never like the dude, but for the sake of your happiness I will put it aside. But know this, if he hurts you in anyway, I am ending his life” John B said now standing to hug you. “That’s makes two of us, I will kill him Y/N” JJ said joining in on the hug, Pope didn’t say anything, but you knew he would say the same thing. It was times like these that you were thankful to have friends like them.

You spent the rest of the day with them just spending time with them until you got a text from Rafe, telling you he was coming to get you. You let him know you were at John B’s, and he wasn’t too thrilled about that, it is no secret that they do not get along, but they need to settle it for me. He pulled up and you greeted everybody not wanting them to have to see each other, you hoped one day they could get along, but that is a lost dream.

You got in the car, and you were all giddy, yes you saw him this morning, but you couldn’t help but be happy around him.

RAFE’S POV:

I never expected us to sleep together as soon as we did, but it was one of the best nights of my life, taking her innocence and being her first made it so much stronger. I had to call off the challenge as I was falling for this girl and she was way too good for me and if she ever found out about this it would crush her, she would never forgive me and I cannot lose her, not now and not ever.

I was planning on telling Topper today that it was off, he had figured that I spent the night at her house when I took her home from the party and didn’t return to his house and he went over to mine to see that I wasn’t there. He sent me a text asking where I was, and I informed him that I was at your house. Him being the nosey fucker he is asked if we did the deed and me being stupid and not focusing said yes and I instantly regretted it, I did not want him to know, but upon the midst of me being a stupid boy told him it was your first time too, why would I say that.

I wanted to tell him in person that the challenge was off, but I was so busy with my dad that I had to postpone it. It finally came to the day when I got to see her again even though I just left her this morning, I missed being around her. I sent her a text telling her I was on my way, and she let me know she was at John B, I was not the biggest fan of her friends, but I had to respect who she was and who she hung out with. Even though I hated the idea of her being around those pogues, I cannot dictate who she is friends with. I arrived and she walked out of the house with such a smile on her face, God, she is so beautiful. I don’t think I have ever loved anyone as much as I love her. I don’t know what I would do if I lost her, but I know I never wanted that day to happen. I wanted to spend every day with her and yes our time has been short but I only wanted to grow stronger with her, I never want to let her down and I want to be the best version of myself with her.

Pt. 5 (Final part)

Summary: Y/N is new in town and comes across two beautiful boys that both spark and interest in her. Which boy will she choose....

Warnings: Just some cute stuff, romance, 18+ a lil (I tried)

Word Count: 3.5k words

Author Note: I am new to this whole thing, and this is my first post, so be gentle. But also let me know your thoughts and if you want more? I have written so much of this but am always willing to make changes. Part 4 will have a bit more JJ, and then I think the ending will have two outcome, one with Rafe and one with JJ. There are two endings depending on who you chose

“Y/N, are you fucking serious right now. After what we spoke about yesterday you went straight to him and fucked him? Is this a fucking joke?” Rafe questioned you. You didn’t know what to say and you just stood there between the two boys you have become so accustomed to, in more ways than one, completely at a loss for words. “Rafe, I can explain” you tried to say to him but he was just coldly staring at JJ. You turned fully to him and tried to grab his face to make him look at you. “Rafe, look at me, please” he pulled your hands away and stared at you with can only be described as absolutely heartbroken. “Don’t” he said coldly. “I poured my heart out to you yesterday, and you said this was not the end for us and now you are sleeping with him?” he said to you and this is when JJ spoke up and you really wish he didn’t “Whoa wait, Y/N you said to him you weren’t finished with him? But then came straight to me knowing how I felt and slept with me when you still have eyes on him? Wtf is wrong with you” JJ said angrily to you. And now you had no idea what to do or what to say.

“Y/N, you need to make a decision because you cannot have both of us and I will not keep chasing you when your loyalties lie with another” Rafe said to you. “If you choose him, I will back off for good. But I will not sit around and wait while you fumble in the sheets with him” he said again. “I hate to say it, but I am on Rafe’s side Y/N. This is not right, you cannot have both of us and I for sure will not share you with him or anyone for that matter” JJ added. “Don’t forget to take that pill” he said once more before walking away leaving you with a very angry and heartbroken Rafe. “Y/N, I love you but I will not wait for you forever. What you have just done has fucking destroyed me but I will not sit here and say I don’t deserve this. My heart had not changed and I still want to fix us, fix this and this will be hard to overcome but we can do it. I will leave you with that and let me know when you have made a decision” he said and then looked at me one last time before leaving me there, alone, absolutely broken.

I had to walk home considering the person that me brought me here left me, when I got home my head was a mess, I had two amazing guys that wanted nothing than to be with me and I had no idea what to do. Rafe fucked up, big time but I can’t sit here and say that I do not love him with my whole heart and soul. JJ has always been there for me and is such an incredible person and I know he would give me nothing but love and never hurt me. The love I felt for each boy was so different. The love for JJ was innocent and pure but the love I have for Rafe was fierce and powerful. I do not know what to do.

-Rafe’s ending-

I weighed out the options for a while, a few days actually and I know that is not how a decision like this should be made, but I know when I chose one, I will lose the other and that broke me more than the fact that I had to pick between either of them. I wanted them both in my life, if not for love but for friendship but I know that will never happen because this decision will ultimately destroy one of them, it truly comes down to who I could not live without, who I can love unconditionally and who will love and fight for me unconditionally. The thought of losing either of them weighed heavy on my heart, how are you supposed to do this, I can’t live with either of them but I know that they could not bear to be friends with me if I didn’t choose either. I spent the weekend trying to figure my head out, I received no communication from either of the boys and you understood why, you were inevitably going to break one of their hearts.

This was not an easy choice to make but no matter what scenario I played out in my head, one boys always came out on top, he held my heart for now and forever. I figured it would be best to let the other boy down first as that would be harder for me to do. I got dressed the Sunday afternoon and sent him a text asking if we could meet for a talk, he replied back with an okay and that he would meet you down at the dock in half an hour. Time seemed to go by so slowly but when you looked at your phone 20 minutes had past, you had no idea what to say or how he would take it, you arrived at the dock and saw him sitting by the edge of the water, that beautiful blonde hair that you were going to miss, you were going to lose him and that was something you never wanted to happen. You knew above all else you would always have JJ, but that all might change. You walked up to him and sat down next to him, “Hi” you said softly, “Hey Y/n” he said not looking at you.

“How are you?” you questioned. “Y/N, can you please tell me why you told me to come here” he said harshly, he looked at you and you looked hurt and his face softened. “Sorry, I didn’t mean it like that”. “No, it’s okay, I understand, you have every right to be mad, I have been a horrible person, to both of you and it’s not fair” I said, I could not help the tears that were streaming, staring into his blue yes, I think he knew what you were going to say but he did not want to accept it just yet, not until the words left your mouth. “I have been thinking a lot these past days” you said, looking away from him and at the water. ”Hurting either of you was never my intention and I am sorry that I have done that” you continued, still not daring to look at him. “Being with you will never be something I regret and I can’t thank you enough for loving me the way you did, but I can’t shake the love I have for Rafe, this has not been easy but it will always be Rafe, and I am so sorry it happened like this, I am so sorry JJ. I never wanted to lose you, but I would understand if you want to walk out of my life, I can’t stop you from leaving” you said, now fully sobbing. You looked at him finally and he was crying. He placed his hand over yours. “Firstly, please stop apologizing. Secondly, I don’t think I will ever understand why you would go back to him after what he did but a piece of me does understand you love him, in. way that you will never love me and as much as that cuts into me, I only ever wanted you to be happy and if that is not with me then all I can do is be there for you, maybe not right now and not so soon. But I hope that one day we can get back to a good place, as friends. I will always love you Y/N, in more ways than you will ever know.” He said and you wished it was him, but your heart lies with Rafe and a part of you knows that it always will. “JJ, you will understand how much I love you, but the love for him is magnetic and I can’t fight it. What he did to me is something I need to deal with, but I will deal with it, with him. Thank you for being my rock all this time. I know we have not been friends for the longest time but you truly are one of the most important people in my life and I love you JJ” you said squeezing his hands. “I hope one day we can get back to our goofy selves” you said giggling. “One day” he said back softly and you two just sat there for a while in silence until he spoke up. “Well, you probably should not keep him waiting, because this weekend drove me insane and I can’t imagine how he is doing”. “I have one more question, if you don’t mind” he asked, and you nodded in response, “You can ask me anything JJ”.

“What are you going to do when you have to leave? Like when your dad’s contract is up. I mean, now that I have you in my life, I don’t think I would be able to have you leave. I will probably take a year off after school, before I start college, so hate to break it you but you are stuck with me JJ, forever” You said hugging him to which he reciprocated. “I would gladly be stuck with you forever, now go” he said laughing and practically pushing you away, as you were leaving you turned around, “Hey JJ, thank you for being the best friend I could have asked for, I love you” and with that you left as he smiled and mouthed and ‘I love you’ back.

You were dreading the walk to Rafe, even though your house was so close to his you weren’t going home you were going to him, so it was nerves and fear that consumed you. What if after what has happened he no longer wants you, what if I left it for too long. You finally arrived at the front door and were hesitant to knock but finally built up the courage, you waited for someone to answer for what felt like forever, Wheezie answered the door and you were silently thankful that she did, “Hey Wheez, is uhm, Rafe home?” you asked softly. “Hey Y/N, yea he is in his room, hasn’t left it” she said back and moved to the side so that you could come in, “Thanks” you said walking up the stairs and you could barely get yourself up the stairs with how much your legs were shaking. You finally arrived at his door and waited a few minutes before you knocked trying to push down your nerves, you heard ruffling on the other side of the door. “I told you to leave me alone” he practically yelled and he opened the door, his eyes instantly softened when he saw you and the your tear stricken face. “Y/N, hi, uhm come in” he said moving aside and you walked in slowly and sat on the edge of his bed. After seeing your face, he immediately thought the worst, he had lost you, it was not him you wanted.

He sat down next to you, not wanting to be the first one to speak. “I, uhm, just saw JJ” you said, barely above a whisper. His heart sank, you chose him and you were coming to break the news to him. You looked at him and saw the worry across his face. “I told him that I could not be with him, when I am still madly in love with you Rafe” you said and he looked up at you and it was like a whole new look in his eyes. They were glowing. “This hasn’t been easy for me Rafe, you broke my heart and JJ was there to help me. I don’t regret what happened between us, but I know I can never pursue something with him when my heart still and probably always will lie with you” you said again, after he didn’t say anything. It was like he was struggling to get words out. “This won’t be easy Rafe, it will take a lot of work for us to get back to how we were, but I am willingly to work on us, only if you are?” you questioned. He could not get words out, so he cupped your face in your hands and brought a soft kiss upon your lips. “All I ever want is you, no matter how long it takes, I just want you” he said against my lips. “Even though I have a short amount of time left with you, I will spend every day making it up to you, I love you Y/N, you are my whole life” he said smiling. “About that, I am not moving anytime soon, my dad wants to stay. So for you Rafe Cameron, you are stuck with me” you said smiling, waiting for his reaction. He stood up taking you with him, he picked you up and spun you around, “This is the best news, apart from you wanting to be with me, this is a close second. I love you Y/N Y/L/N. I am never ever letting you go again” he said kissing you, and you couldn’t help but smile. You truly and deeply loved this boy. “I never want to be without you, Rafe.” You said. “From here on out, you will never be without me, you are my precious girl.” He said kissing you once more.

This was not an easy choice to make but no matter what scenario I played out in my head, one boys always came out on top, he held my heart for now and forever. I figured it would be best to let the other boy down first as that would be harder for me to do. I got dressed the Sunday afternoon and sent him a text asking if we could meet for a talk, he replied back with an okay and that he would meet you down at the dock in half an hour. Time seemed to go by so slowly but when you looked at your phone 20 minutes had past, you had no idea what to say or how he would take it, you arrived at the dock and saw him sitting by the edge of the water, that beautiful blue eyed boy you have become so familiar with and so accustomed to was no longer going to be a part of your life. You knew there was no chance he could stay in my life if it meant not being with me, I had to face the reality that I was going to lose him, but I had to do what was best for me.

You walked up to him and sat down next to him, “Hi” you said softly, “Hey Y/n” he said not looking at you. “How are you?” I asked, softly. “I have had better days, not going to lie. And yourself?” he questioned, still not able to look at you. “I have been better” was all you could say. “Is there a specific reason, you told me to meet you here?” he asked, he sounded wounded and you knew that you were about to break his heart further. “Yes, Rafe. Uhm, this weekend has not been an easy decision for me and has been weighing heavy on my heart, but it ultimately came down to what it good for me and what I deserve. And Rafe, I don’t deserve what you did to me. You will never understand how much you hurt me and what you put me through, and JJ was there, through all of it, he never left. I love you Rafe, that much is true, but I am no longer in love with you. You will always be my first love, but you won’t be my last and that is something we need to accept. For a long time I thought it would be me and you forever, but my forever changed and now belongs to someone else. I will never love JJ the way I love you, but it’s different, its innocent. We had our time and it ended and I can’t look past what you did even if I tried, I am so sorry Rafe. This is the decision my heart has made, I love you always but it will fade as will your love for me. I hope you can understand” you finally said, and you could not stop the tears that streamed down your face at seeing the man you loved cry and break down. He looked at you with tear stricken cheeks. “Don’t do this” he whispered. “We can make this work, we can fix this, you don’t belong with him and you know it. You are my whole world, and my love for you will never fade. Please, don’t leave me” he said, voice cracking from his crying. “I have to try Rafe, I am so sorry” you said standing up to leave.

He stood up quickly and grabbed your wrist pulling you towards him, he tried kissing you but you pulled away, “No Rafe, nothing will change my mind, this is it for us, please respect that” you said, pulling your arm from his grip and walking away, he did not chase, which you were thankful for. This was already hard enough. “I will always love you, Y/N. You are my happiness” he said under his breath, but you heard him and you heart broke as you walked away from the boy that you use to call yours, knowing it will all become a distant memory one day.

You made your way to JJ, nervously stopping at his front door, you would never knock when you went to visit but this time you did not know where you two stood with one another, so you knocked. A red eyed JJ opened the door, but you could tell it was from tears. “Y/N, what are you doing here?” he said, he took in your tear stained cheeks and panicked. “Y/N, are you okay? What happened” he said worried, pulling you in for a hug. “JJ, we need to talk” you said pulling away and he looked worried, he did not want to lose you and he thought that after today, he might just have to let you go. “Yea, okay” was all he said as he made his way to his room and you followed. You sat down on his bed and tapped the side next to you for him to sit. “I just saw Rafe” you said and he looked at you, waiting for you to say something. “I told him I could not be with him. As I am in love with someone else” was all you said and he smiled a little but you could tell he still wanted to hear his name. “I told him, I wanted to be with you JJ, that our story still has a forever, if you want to explore that with me?” you questioned, staring into his blue eyes waiting for a response or some sort of reaction. “Y/N, that is all I have ever wanted. I am so in love with you it drives me crazy, but I am also sorry about Rafe. I know that must have been hard” he said grabbing your hand. “It was but the outcome is so much better” you said smiling, he grabbed your face and laid a perfect kiss on your lips. “To our forever, my beautiful girl” he said smiling. “To our forever, my JJ” you said back.

Pt. 1

Summary: You have gone unnoticed your whole life but now the hottest boy on Kildare has paid attention to you, why?

You weren’t new to Kildare but that is basically what it felt like, you went unnoticed to most people around, besides your friends. Then again there were only 4 of them and their names were John B, JJ, Pope, and Kiara or Kie for short and they were the best group of friends a person could ask for. Safe to say I went around the island unnoticed by both parts. Your family came from money, so you were essentially labelled a kook, but you never stood with them or their morals, you were down to earth and kind and didn’t find gloating your money and wealth a fun thing to do. You found a home amongst the pogues and that is where you stayed. That, however is not the reason no one noticed you, it was because you never put yourself out of your comfort zone and that was about to change as you were now 18 and felt like you could do the things you wanted to do without your parents breathing down your back, they were already unpleased with the fact that you were hanging out with the lower class but you never strayed from your friends, much to your parents warnings.

You knew how the kook kids were and you weren’t a fan, all they were known for were, fights, drugs, parties and fucking women and it disgusted you. Yes, you won’t lie and say that Rafe Cameron, the leader of the Kooks wasn’t the most beautiful man you had ever seen, but he was bad news, and he is also someone that I am pretty sure didn’t even know you existed, so you crushed form the sideline.

That was until the bonfire that took place at the beach, you got ready with Kie and even she was shocked to what you were wearing as you stepped out of your room. You decided tonight will be the night you get some attention, with your newfound confidence and the fact that out of nowhere you grew some boobs, but they were always hidden by a baggy t-shirt. So, you decided to wear a tight-fitting silk red dress and some white air forces, you did subtle makeup with a slick black winged eyeliner, and you curled your hair and let it hang. You sprayed on some perfume and were ready to head, the boys were waiting for you girls outside your house as your parents were not too fond of them coming inside.

“Y/N, I have to say this, you look incredible, damn girl, who are you trying to impress” Kiara said as you two were walking out. You blushed, “Thanks Kie, no one, just me really” you said back “Good for you girl, but you are definitely going to turn some heads there” she giggled back at you. “Speaking of turning heads, seems you already started” she said, and you were confused, it was only until you turned to look at the 3 boys standing in the driveway that you knew what she meant. Their jaws were practically on the floor when you walked up to them and none of them could speak, they were just staring. “Okay, where is Y/N” JJ piped up and you hit his arm softly with a giggle, “If you guys could stop gawking so we could leave, that would be great” you said back, and they all nodded and got in the car.

It was only a few minutes of driving until you were at the beach, the party was a little off the side of the island due to noise and not wanting the cops to break it up. You all got out the car and headed straight for the keg, needing some liquid confidence for the rest of this night to be bearable. You walked up to the keg, and you could practically feel the eyes on you and in a way, you liked it because you have never had this before. You were pouring a drink when someone came into your field of vision. Much to your liking it was just JJ also having the same idea as you with getting a drink. “Y/N, I just have to say, you look fucking amazing, like seriously.” He said looking you up and down, “Thanks JJ, I needed that, a little out of my comfort zone here” you nervously laugh.

You and he continued to make small talk when you noticed a certain group of boys walk up to the fire, and it was none other than Rafe and his loyal band of followers, Topper and Kelce and a few others, but you never bothered to learn their names. Rafe never noticed you, as you were just another girl and one of the only girls that never through themselves at him. He had a different girl on his arm and in his bed almost every weekend and that was something you could never do, one because he could never see you like that and two you did not want to be another one of his conquests.

Your whole night changed when you went to go sit on a log a little away from the party to get some air and to get away from the loud buzz of the party goers, the party went from 30 people to easily 150 in under an hour, so you just needed space. That was until someone sat next to you and at first you thought it was one of your boys but when you turned to look at them it was the last person you expected to see. Rafe was sitting next you, why.

“Uhm, can I help you?” you questioned him, shifting a little as he sat so close to you and you can’t lie the way your skin caught on fire when he legs grazed yours was enough to drive you crazy but that was just a fantasy dream, but still why was he sitting next to you.

He liked the way that you didn’t jump at him like every other girl on the island and that intrigued him, he swears he has seen you around before but for some reason he cannot recall. “Well Hello to you to” he said with a cheeky grin. “I’m Rafe” he said to you as if you didn’t know who he was. “I know who you are Rafe, you didn’t have to tell me” you said back to him coldly. “There is no way I have never seen such a beautiful girl before; trust me I would’ve noticed you” he said and you just gave him a snarky chuckle.

Rafe was drawn by your energy, he swears he has never seen you before but there is something about you, the way you don’t fling at him and speak to him with such attitude, it’s like a breath of fresh air. “Rafe, I do not have time for this, I could think of 100 more people I would rather have a conversation with, now if there isn’t something you need form me or want, please leave” you said and then took a sip of your drink and looked out into the open ocean,

“Calm down princess, I was just wondering why you were out here all by yourself when there is a party going on” he said as if it was the most obvious thing. Truth is, you had no idea why he was here, you two aren’t friends and you have never spoken a day in your life so why now. “I needed air, and there were too many noises, so I just wanted to come listen to the ocean. There you have your answer, now if you won’t leave, I will” you said now looking at him and you couldn’t help but admire the way the moonlight hit his perfect skin and how his polo shirt hugged his arms. God he was beautiful. “You don’t have to be so hostile you know, I just wanted to keep you company” he said cheekily. “Rafe, we have never spoken to each other before now, and I would like to keep it that way” you said with a smile. Something about the way you said his name really heated him up, it rolled off your tongue so beautifully and he could listen to you call his name for hours. Taken from his thoughts was the sight of you standing up to leave, but he could not let that happen.

Rafe stood up in front of you stopping you from leaving, “Please move” you asked sternly. “Look, I just wanted to ask if I could take you out sometime and get to know you” he asked, and it sent you into a fit of laughter. “Rafe, babe, it’s not going to happen. We have crossed paths so many times and I cannot shake the fact that you are only seeing me now for what I am wearing, it will not slide with me, and I will not be another one of your fun little rides. So, thanks but no thanks” you smiled and walked off. Rafe was taken back, he has never had a girl talk to him like that or reject him for that matter but that did not stop him, he had to know you.

You walked away but could not hide the smile on your face, Rafe Cameron asked you out, in what world does that happen.

RAFE’S POV:

This girl was different, I thought she would jump at the opportunity to spend a night with me, but I was very wrong, but the way she spoke to me like she wasn’t afraid intrigued me. Everyone on the island knows me and my history. She was different and there was something about that, that I liked. I made my way back over to the boys and I know that they were going to take the piss out of me because I know they had seen her walk away from me like it was nothing, no girl has ever done that to me before. As much as I wanted to get to know this girl, I also need to keep my reputation up so she was someone I would never conquer. The boys had something else in mind though. “Rafe, my man, that was fucking brutal to watch’ Topper said laughing. I gave him a little punch on the shoulder “Whatever man, just another one in the wind, there are so many other girls that would die to get with me, I am not bothered by her” I lied. “Why don’t we make it a little game, huh?” Kelce says to you. I looked at him confused. “Yea, if you can get her to sleep with you by the end of the month or you can’t sleep with another girl for at least 3 months” Topper said and for me that was a lot because I love women and I love sleeping with women more, but this is a challenge I will happily do. “`You’re on” I said to him shaking his hands “Thirty days, piece of cake, I only need 3” I said again. I knew deep down that this was a bad decision, but I could not back down, they would never let me forget it.

“Yea, alright man, from what it looked like you have no shot bro” Kelce said laughing, and I just looked at him and he piped down immediately. “You don’t think I can do it, do you” I asked, “Do what exactly Rafe, get her to sleep with you? If you want to do one better dude, get her to say the words ‘I love you’” Topper said. “You’re fucking on mate” I said and with that the conversation on that is over and we continued talking about anything and everything else for the remainder of the night”

The whole night she was in my field of vision, and I couldn’t lie to myself and say she wasn’t extremely gorgeous, but for my plan to work I had to start grafting now. The only issue is she was permanently surrounded by her pogue cult, and we did not get along, most because they are low lives. I did not understand why she would hang out with them. Then it hit me as the moonlight struck her face, she is a kook, I have seen her around time but never paid much attention to her as she was always wearing the most obscure clothes, but tonight, she really showed off what she was hiding under all those baggy clothes and safe to say she was fucking hot.

As the party was coming to an end, I decided it was time to go home, I said my goodbyes to everyone I needed to and hopped in my car. On the drive home I noticed someone walking alongside the road. As I got closer, I noticed that tight little red dress that hugged her in all the right places. I pulled up next to her and she looked scared, but her face lightened when I rolled down the window and she saw it was me, but then she carried on walking.

“Hey, wait, why are you walking alone at night?” I asked her, genuinely confused as to why she was walking

Y/N’S POV:

After that encounter with Rafe, I had to drink it away, and that is exactly what I did. I drank and drank and safe to say I was beyond drunk. The party was coming to an end, and I didn’t live to far from the party, so I informed the gang that I was going to walk home and try and somber up much to their fighting they eventually agreed. The island is safe, so I was not worried, I said my goodbyes and was on my way. It was not until a car pulled up right next to me that I got scared who could this possibly be. As the pulled up and rolled down the window you eased up a bit to see that it was Rafe but that was short, and you continued walking not wanting to hear what he has to say.

“Hey, wait, why are you walking alone at night?” he asked, and I stopped walking. “I needed to walk off the alcohol, you can go now” I said back to him in a drunk state. “Y/N, I won’t be able to sleep knowing you walked, and I could have given you a ride home. Please get in” he asked me, and you honestly didn’t have the energy to fight him, so you got in, much to his surprise. “Fine, but just because I have no time to argue, and no funny business” I said to him drunkenly and he gave a small chuckle. “Alright Y/N” he laughed, God even his laugh was beautiful. The ride was mostly spent in silence as you directed him on where to go. He pulled up to your driveway and you were happy to see the lights off meaning you parents had gone to bed. He turned to you, “Look Y/N, I would like to start over as I think you have a bad idea of me, and I would like to change that” he said to you, and you don’t know if it was because you were drunk or just because you wanted it, but you looked at him. “So, you don’t want to fuck me then?” you asked. And it was like he was trying to process what to say because him mouth kept opening and closing but nothing was coming out. He looked down and you couldn’t help it, you leaned over the center console and kissed him, hungrily, he was hesitant at first but then got into it, he was kissing you back aggressively as your tongues danced in each other’s mouths. You climbed over the console so that you were straddling his lap and his hands landed on your hips and yours on the back of his neck and in his hair, you kiss got more hungry and more aggressive. You pulled away and slipped the straps of your bra down exposing you black laced bra to which Rafe could very clearly see your nipples, “So you are saying you don’t want to touch my body and feel what I feel like on your mouth” you said to him lowly kissing his neck. Rafe’s breathe caught in his throat, this is not how he saw his night going, especially not with you. You started grinding on his lap and you could feel he was becoming hard; you dropped your hand down to rub on his clothed member. “Y/N” he had to take a breath between moans. You pulled away from his neck and climbed off him. He looked at you as if you had just ripped his heart out. “Well, ain’t that a shame, it’s not happening, thanks for the lift. Bye now” and with that you got out the car and walked into your house, leaving Rafe horny and hard. Sober you would have never done that but drunk you had a mind of its own.

You were a virgin, and you weren’t going to let your first time be with Rafe Cameron, no way.

RAFE’S POV:

I watched her walk into her house, and I just sat there putting together my thoughts, this girl is going to ruin my life. I have never met any girl that would just leave me like that. The effect she had on my body was something else, the way my skin heated up the moment she lay her hands on my and that kiss lit me up. She was different. I had to know her. I was no longer doing this for the sake of the challenge, I had to get to know her for me.

After I collected my thoughts and tried to calm down the absolute hard on, she just left me with, I drove him, still thinking about what just happened.

Y/N’S POV:

I woke up the next morning with the world’s largest headache and to top that I kept replaying last night, I kissed Rafe Cameron, why the fuck would I do that. It took me a while to get up and normally my parents wouldn’t let me sleep in on a Saturday but when I finally went downstairs to make coffee, I noticed that they were nowhere to be seen, they must’ve gone out. I went back upstairs after making my coffee too see that it was already 12, I should probably get ready for the day, maybe go to the chateau, and hang with the guys. I got out the shower having, washing my hair, and doing all the necessities and went back to my room, I sat on my bed and picked up my phone to let the gang know I was going to pull through. That is when I saw I had a message from an unknown number, it read “Good morning princess, can I see you today, I would like to talk about last night” and it didn’t need a sign off for you too know who it was from. It was Rafe, you sighed heavy, you really had nothing to say to him, so you replied “Firstly don’t call me princess, and secondly, I don’t need to see you, last night was a drunken mistake. Also, how did you get my number?” you hit send and almost immediately there was a reply.

“Well, I hate to break it to you, but I am outside. I have my ways, princess” and your heart sank and the message, what does he want from my life. You looked out your window and true as day, there he was, parked in your driveway “Jesus Rafe you cannot just show up at my house unannounced” you shot back to him. He replied again almost instantly. “Would you just stop complaining and come get in the car”. You huffed, you have nothing else to do today, going to see the gang was to pass time, but you would much rather do nothing than chill with him. You got dressed, you paired a pair of short jean shorts, a cute yellow crop, and some converse. You left your wet hair down to airdry and didn’t bother with makeup, you have no intention of dressing up for him.

You made your way downstairs and gave yourself a once over in the mirror, you ass was just hanging out in these shorts, but you did not care. You locked up your house as you walked out the door, Rafe was watching you as you made your way to the car, he liked the way you didn’t try and dress up for him or impress him, it was something he was not use to. You got in the car and looked at him, “What do you want Rafe? Why are you here” you questioned him. “Like I said yesterday, I would really like to start over, so you can get to know me and not what you have heard about me. Oh, and to discuss exactly what you did last night” he said back with a grin towards the end. “Look, I already know if enough about you to know I don’t want to know more, you aren’t a good guy, Rafe. And about last night, like I said before, it was a mistake, and it shouldn’t have happened” you said back to him, and his grin faulted. “You know about me Y/N, but you don’t know me. And last night wasn’t a mistake for me, I really enjoyed you sitting on my lap and sticking your tongue down my throat” he said winking at you. You could not help the blush that came over your face, he knew what he was doing. “Please, just give me one chance. That is all I ask” he said pleading. You took a while to answer, debating your options, you have nothing to lose by just seeing what all the fuss is about this guy. “Fine, one chance Rafe, I mean it. You fumble once and that’s it” you said to him, and he couldn’t hide the grin that spread across his face. “Once chance is all I need princess” he said. “Stop calling me that” you said hitting his arm, secretly loving the nickname but he could not know that. “I’ll call you whatever I want, princess” he smirked, and you just huffed in defeat and then he drove off.

You were driving for quite a while before you asked him where you going as it seems you were driving out of Kildare. “Rafe, where are we going?” you questioned him, “Relax princess, I just wanted to get away from the island for a bit and be alone with you, you know, without prying eyes” he said back to you. You didn’t say anything back and just sat silent for the rest of the journey, it wasn’t awkward silence though, it was kind of soothing. You eventually arrived at your destination, and it was a beautiful beach that was pretty much empty. You were confused as you could’ve gone to any of the beaches around the island. You looked at him questionably and it was almost as if he knew what you were thinking. “I know we could’ve gone to a closer beach, but I wanted more privacy with you, without everyone watching, so come on, cheer up, I actually have something special planned” he said smiling. You could not help but smile, this was a side to Rafe you never knew, but why was he going through so much effort for you, he could easily have any girl that would give him what he wanted, so why you.

You got out the car pushing your thoughts to the back of your mind, you said you would give him a chance so here it is. You waited for Rafe as he got something out of the trunk of the car, he came around to you a few minutes later with a picnic basket and you couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face, and he noticed. You had the most breathtaking smile he had ever seen, and he couldn’t stop the smile that spread his face too.

“See, I told you I am not all that bad” he said chuckling as you too walked down to the beach. “Oh, whatever Cameron” you said chuckling. He loved your laugh and the way your eyes lit up; he was in for a hard time. You two made it down to the beach and Rafe took out the picnic blanket and laid it down, it was a beautiful day, and you couldn’t help but be happy you were at the beach and thankful you wore your costume. You two sat down and he took out a bottle of champagne and two flute glasses, “Never pegged you for a champagne guy” you said taking the full glass from him, “There is a lot you don’t know about me princess” he said back taking a sip of his glass.

“So, tell me, why did you feel the need to take me out? There are so many other girls that would jump at this opportunity. Although I have never seen you on a date before” you asked him, genuinely curious. He took a minute to answer, “That is just the thing, you didn’t jump and that intrigued me. Yes, most girls would kill to be here right now but you’re different and something about that I really like. And, I don’t date, so count your lucky stars that you are here right now” he said to you “I must be the luckiest person in the world if Mr. Rafe Cameron chose me” you said in a shocked but humorous way, he whispered something under his breath that was just barely audible, “I think I am the lucky one” you didn’t want to push him to repeat it so you left it, but your insides turned at the fact that he felt lucky to be out with me. You two talked for hours as the sun was already setting, you snacked on the food he prepared and finished the whole bottle of champagne. You two had a lot in common, from how you were raised, where you come from and your goals and aspirations. You were starting to get a whole new look at him, and it was nice. You two shared stories and laughs and just enjoyed each other’s company. The sun started setting quicker and you had the best idea, or so you thought.

“Let’s go for a swim” you asked him, and his eyes practically jumped out of his head. “Do you know how cold that water will be” he said back to you. “Don’t be such a pussy” you said back to him laughing, you stood up and shimmied out of your shorts and you only realized now that you wore the most revealing bikini, because you had not intended on swimming today. Rafe’s POV:

I stood there and watched her walk away from me, she was heartbroken and it was all my fault. I feel like my whole life crashed and my heart was left shattered on the floor, I had broken the heart of the girl who held mine so tightly and so lovingly. Seeing her cry and not being able to hold her was something out of a nightmare. Seeing her kiss JJ was the worst thing that I could’ve seen and it was something I never wished to see again but I had the feeling that I had just pushed her straight into the arms of him without even knowing. I did this, I ruined us. I just stood in place till I could no longer see her and was suddenly very aware that I had eyes on me, but I shook it off and went inside, the only thing I wanted to do right now was drink, and I will figure this out in the morning.

I was about 8 clean whisky’s in and I was feeling the effects but I had to do anything to wash this pain away, I had to make it numb, I had to take away this hurt the only way I knew how and that was to drown it out. I sat on the couch majority of the night as countless girls came up to me trying to get their ends off but it was no use, I just wanted Y/N, and even though I had fucked it up I would not make the situation worse and no other girl here or on this planet will ever be more perfect that Y/N. But just then I saw Jen walk into the door and my blood started boiling, how dare she ruin what I had with Y/N, how fucking dare she. So my drunk self-got up and walked straight towards her, I grabbed her arm and pulled her upstairs and into one of the empty bedrooms. “What the fuck do you want Rafe?” she said but she protested the whole way up the stairs. “What fucking game are you playing at Jen? Why would you tell Y/N about us? Do you realise what you have done?” I said now seething with anger. And the smug smile that drew across her face gave me all the information I needed. “Baby, she wasn’t right for you, you know we are meant to be. So I just helped that along. It’s you and me baby” she said and tried to kiss you but you pushed her off, lightly. “Don’t touch me Jen, the sight of you actually makes me sick. You have taken from me the only girl I have ever truly loved. But hear me now, I will get her back and you will lose, stay clear away from me and Y/N, I’m serious Jen, I don’t want to see you ever again” once I had said this I left to go downstairs.

I stayed there for another half hour and then decided to go home, I needed to be alone, I needed to think and process everything that went down tonight. How did I manage to lose the love of my life, how did I fuck things up this bad. I just needed to be alone to figure shit out.

Y/N’s POV:

You spent majority of the night crying in JJ’s arms until you eventually fell asleep, you woke up the next morning with puffy eyes and a sore throat from the sobs you had cried out the previous night, but as you opened your eyes and sat up everything came flooding back and you were on the brink of crying again. You felt JJ stir awake next you and he saw you sitting up and just looking out the window, he sat up and pulled you into his chest and you loved the smell of him and the way you fit so perfectly into him, it was different to Rafe, and you liked it. Truth is, if Rafe wasn’t in the picture you would be with JJ, there was always something about him, you two just had a beautiful bond. But Rafe was in the picture and he was a massive part of it. He drew you out of your thoughts, “Morning gorgeous, how are you feeling after last night, I know what happened was far from what you wanted but I am here to listen or sit in silence, always” he said softly. “Thank you JJ, I just want to let you know how much I appreciate you, I mean you have always been there for me and I can never thank you enough” you said back to him, barely audible from him to hear. “Y/N” he said as he grabbed you face to make you look at him. “This might not be the best time to tell you but I know if I don’t do it now I never will” he said and brushed a stray hair away from your face and behind your ear, he admired your beauty so much and you could see that in his eyes.

“Y/N, do you know how in love with you I am, more than just my best friend. You are everything, you are funny, smart, beautiful and so full of life. God your laugh alone could make anyone smile, I love the person you are and how you treat other people, and I want to give you the absolute world. I know your heart lies with someone else and I never expect anything from this but I had to tell you. I can’t live anymore with this, I understand if you want to leave and not talk to me again because my timing is absolutely horrendous but yea there it is” he said and he was nervous about it and you could tell because he couldn’t even look you in the eyes. You were silent, processing everything and JJ didn’t know what to think, had he completely fucked this up. “Fuck, Y/N, I am so sorry, I am so selfish. I should of thought about your feelings” you had to stop his rambling so you kissed him and he was shocked at first but soon melted into you and you two connected like lost souls. You pulled away eventually taken back by this kiss, this time it wasn’t forced it was naturally and you couldn’t help but feel butterflies. “JJ, I agree that your timing is very off, but thank you for telling me. I can’t lie and tell you I don’t feel something for you because I do and I would love nothing more the give you what you want, but I need to sort this thing out with Rafe or more like end this thing off with Rafe, and I could never ask you to wait for me because that isn’t fair, but I just need time” you said to him, now you’re the nervous one. “Y/N, I would wait many lifetimes for you, I’ve waited this long, I can wait a bit longer” he said now smiling and laid a small kiss to your forehead and you were warmed by the sweet jester. JJ got up to make you coffee and you switched your phone off having switched it off last night because you wanted no contact from Rafe whatsoever but you had to face the music eventually and you thought ripping off the band aid sooner rather than later would be better.

Your phone switched on and were flooded with missed calls from Rafe and messages and your heart broke all over again and you couldn’t help the tears falling, after all this boy had completely shattered you. You opened his chat

You decided to call him, you had to end this and at most hear him out, even though he didn’t deserve it, this boy knew everything about you, he held your heart and you held his. JJ walked in the room with your coffee and took one look at your tear stricken face and went into a panic, “Y/N are you okay? What happened?” he asked very worried. “No, nothing happened, just Rafe. Uhm thank you for the coffee, would you mind giving me a second? I just need to make a call” you asked him and he nodded and left the room.

With shaky hands you picked up your phone and clicked on the name you had called countless times before, except this heart, was with a broken heart. You pulled the phone to you ear and you didn’t even have time to process what to say and he picked up the phone so quickly, “Y/N, I didn’t expect to hear from you” he said and you could hear the cracks in his voice, he had been crying and that broke your heart. “I wasn’t going to call but, we need to talk. Meet me at the end of the pier in 30 minutes” you said and didn’t give him any time to respond before you hung up because you knew hearing his voice again would send you into another crying spell.

You got up to go find JJ and found him sitting on the couch in anticipation, he got up the minute you walked in “Hey beautiful girl, what’s going on” he said pulling you into his chest. You loved him, but you loved Rafe more, but you and Rafe were on your way to end and maybe there was hope for you and JJ. “JJ, I am going to see Rafe, I need to sort my head out” his face dropped at what you said but he understood. “I will come back right after” you said to him and went to go get dressed. You realised you had no clean clothes at JJ, so you threw on a pair of his sweatpants and one of his hoodies and you took in the smell of him and couldn’t help thinking that JJ would never hurt you like this. You mentally prepared yourself for seeing him, that same face you had woken up to in an absolute bliss many times but this time it was different, this time it was to end it. You didn’t bother with makeup as you knew you would probably end up crying so what was the point. You walked out ready to leave and JJ stopped you, “First off you look so good in my clothes, and second off no matter what happens I will always be here for you” he said and with that he kissed you, a soft gentle kiss and you smiled, he was so special.

You got to the pier a little earlier so you didn’t have to walk up on Rafe, you got to the end and sat down letting your feet dangle down. You just sat their taking in your surroundings and preparing yourself. You were there for a few minutes and then you heard footsteps behind you and you knew who is was, but you didn’t turn around, you just stayed there. He sat down next to you and you knew it was him, from his smell and when his knee grazed yours. You looked at him and he looked at you and you looked at the same piercing eyes you fell in love with, except this time all you could see in his eyes was hurt. His eyes were puffy and red and you knew had been crying, fresh tear stained cheeks showed that he had cried on the way here.

“Y/N” he said with a shaky voice. And that alone sent you into tears, he tried to pull you into him but you pushed him away. “Please don’t Rafe” you said softly, and it broke him. He just wanted to hold you and tell you everything would be okay. He hates that he broke your heart, he hates that he can’t be the one to comfort you. He looked you up and down and realised that those were not your clothes. “Y/N, where do you stay last night?” he said this time a little more angry. “I stayed at JJ” you said. And this visible made Rafe upset, which he had no right to be at all. “I take his those are his clothes? We have now fight and you run and fuck someone else?” he was now standing and raising his voice. “What the fuck is wrong with you Rafe? You really think that fucking low of me?” you stood up now looking at him. “Well Y/N what do you expect me to think? You kiss him at a party and then go and stay at his house? And now you are wearing his clothes? I mean come on Y/N do you think I am fucking blind?” he was yelling still. “Rafe, don’t you fucking dare ever accuse me of shit. Yes I kissed JJ, that is it, when I went home, I cried the entire fucking night because of you. You are your dick, that you could not keep to yourself” you snared back at him. “You fucked this up Rafe and what I do from here on out has fuckall to do with you. You broke me Rafe, you fucking broke my heart. So you do not get to stand there and accuse me of anything. I loved you wholeheartedly, not once did I stray. But you did.” You were now crying. “So you didn’t sleep with him?” he questioned, now lowering his voice. “No Rafe, and if I did, it no longer concerns you who I sleep with anymore. We are finished” you said back and his face dropped, has he really just lost you. He didn’t come here to fight with you he came to win you back and he has just fucked it up more. “I am done with this, goodbye Rafe”, you said and started walking away when he grabbed your wrist and pulled you into him. His lips crashed to yours and you tried to push away but his strength overpowered you. His taste was so familiar and you fell into the kiss, you two moved together to knowingly, he was familiar and you liked that but no, this can’t happen. You finally pushed him away. “No Rafe, you don’t get to do that anymore” you said.

“Y/N, I cannot lose you. I am sorry I jumped to conclusions but I was so angry, not with you but myself and I took it out on you and that’s not right. Look what I came to say is I fucked up, big time. You are the only one for me, and you always will be. There is no one else for me. What I did was wrong, but back then I didn’t know where we would go. I had no idea you would become so special to me and I will spend my whole life regretting what I did. Seeing you hurt and broken kills me, it absolutely tears me apart. You are my world Y/N. Seeing you kiss JJ, was like an arrow to the heart, it was the lowest point of my life. I can’t lose you, I can’t, you are my rock. Please, give me a chance to make this right. Let me fix this, please I will never forgive myself if I didn’t try. Please.” He said and now he was crying, practically begging you. Your heart broke seeing him cry, you loved him, with every fibre of your being.

“Rafe, what you did was the worst thing you could do to me, you broke my heart and my trust and I don’t know if I can forgive that. But I also know I will hate myself if I didn’t see this through. I love you Rafe and I always will, but I need time and I need space. I am not saying we are together but I am not saying this is the end. But for right now I want a break. I need to sort my head out. I do not know what the future holds for us but for right now Rafe, please leave me alone” You said now crying too and he nodded. “Y/N, I love you and I will do anything to make this right” he let go of your wrist. “Goodbye Rafe” you said walking away. “Goodbye my beautiful girl”. You walked home as the pier wasn’t too far from where you stayed and you went over the conversation, you wanted nothing more than to forgive him and be with him and let him hold you but you just couldn’t forgive what he did at least not anytime soon.

Rafe’s POV:

I can’t believe I fucked it up more, I had her, I had the girl of my dreams and I ruined it and when I wanted to fix it I only accused her of the thing I had done that had put us in this situation. He had the chance to fix it and feels that he might have pushed you further into the hands of someone else. He hated himself for what he did to you, all he wanted to do was protect you, but he never thought you were the one she would need protecting from. I just couldn’t help it, seeing her in his clothes made my blood boil because I immediately thought the worst the thought of someone else touching my girl was a thought I could never process. I loved her and I had to win her back but I also had to respect her decision and I had to stay away no matter how much it killed me. Watching her walk away made it seem like she was walking away from us and that killed me but she said this isn’t the end so I have to hold onto that hope because if I don’t I will completely fall apart.

I just do not think I will be able to stay away from her, I am drawn to her and it does not help that she lives so close to me in such close reach of me. I just somehow have this feeling she won’t be around much anymore and I have no one to blame but myself.

Y/N’s POV:

I eventually got back to JJ’s and he was sitting on the edge of the couch, as if he was lost in thought. He heard you come up and immediately stood up, he looked so worried and so caring, why couldn’t I have chosen JJ, would I be going through all of this if I had just chosen him. He came out of you pulling you out of thought and pulled you into a hug, “Hey gorgeous, how was it?” he asked you. “He accused me of sleeping with you and then asked for me back saying he will do anything to fix us” you said and you felt JJ tense up. “Uhm, why would he think that?” he asked questionable, “Because I had your clothes on and kissed you at the party” you huffed. Little did you know JJ would love nothing more than to be that close with you but he would never push it, it would have to be your decision. “Oh, well, I would probably also beg for you back, cause to lose you would be for my world to crash around me” he gave a nervous giggle. You smiled and looked up at him in such admiration, he was so perfect, the way his blonde hair fell so perfectly and how his blue yes caught the sunlight just right. He was so beautiful inside and out. He looked down at you and gave you a small smile, he pushed a stray hair behind your ear and let his hand just stay there for a while and you leant your face into his hand and closed your eyes, just enjoying being held by him. Without saying anything you kissed him, it just felt right, not forced but just perfect. He was shocked at first but very quickly kissed you back you pulled you up by your ass and your legs almost instinctively wrapped around his waist as he took you to the couch, he laid you down so softly never breaking apart your lips and he wanted this to last forever.

You walked into the pharmacy and made your way to the back to one of the pharmacists, JJ holding your hand the whole way. “Hi, uhm, was just wondering if I could get plan B” you asked her, she gave you a strange look but proceeded to ask you a whole bunch of questions before she could give it to you, “Here we go, take it as soon as possible” she insisted, you nodded “Thank you, have a great day further” you said to her and then walked to pay. You got to the counter to pay but JJ offered to pay “Let me pay considering it is my doing” he whispered and you giggled.

He paid and you two left but as you got outside JJ pulled you into a kiss, “You are so special Y/N, how did I get this lucky” he said smiling, “Slow down the Maybank, let’s take this slow” you said, and you knew you still had unfinished business with Rafe but now there was JJ. What are you supposed to do.

Someone cleared their throat behind you and you turned around and were met with the eyes of the one person you did not want to see, Rafe. He took one look at you holding JJ’s and in the other hand you were holding plan B and it didn’t take a rocket scientist to put it together, you two had sex and Rafe broke inside. “Y/N, what the fuck is going on” he questioned, but he wasn’t angry he was hurt and you couldn’t even look at him.

You and Rafe had been together for 6 months now and it has been nothing short of amazing, you and JJ became best friends over the summer and when you were not with Rafe you were with him. Rafe wasn’t too happy about it but it made you happy so he left it.

You put on jean shorts, a baggy band tee and some converse. You slicked your hair in a messy bun and you were on your way. Little did you know that today would be the worst day of your/ You made your way out the door and into your car and you were soon at JJ, but the last thing you expected to see was Jen sitting on the couch across from JJ. You stood at the foot of the door to the living room clearly very confused, as her and JJ were not friends. ‘What the hell is going on?” you questioned looking at JJ, “Hey Y/N, uhm I am not really sure to be honest, she got her like 5 minutes ago and said she wanted to talk to you about something but wanted to speak to me about it first but considering you are her enow maybe, Jen you can just tell her?” he questioned her. You looked at Jen with both hatred and confusion. You did not like her, as she had never been respectful to you or your relationship with Rafe, “What could you possibly want to talk to me about?” you asked her angrily. She stood up and walked towards you, “Y/N I need to tell you something and I should of told you a while ago I just did not know how to approach the situation as I didn’t think you and Rafe would last but I feel you deserve to know” she said, and she sounded somewhat nervous, what could she possibly have to tell me. “Okay, go on then” you stated, now very irritated with her presence here.

“The day I broke up with Rafe, you know then day two started things” she went on, “Whoa, wait, Rafe broke up with you, didn’t he?” you questioned her “No Y/N, I broke up with him and if he told you any different I apologise. If you do not believe me that’s fine but tis the truth and I have nothing to gain from lying to you” she said and there was truth to what she was saying.

By now JJ had left the room but he was secretly listening in on the conversation.

She carried on “He came over to me the next morning, he told me that you two spoke and you were going to try it out, and he was happy but he is also a boy at the end of the day. He had told me how you did not want to sleep with him yet and he needed a fix so he came to me and we slept together for about a week until you guys became official and then he stopped all contact with me, Y/N, I am so sorry, I know that won’t fix it but I thought you had the right to know, because he would never tell you.” You just froze, you didn’t know what to say or do you just stood there, your heart absolutely broken.

With you standing there for what felt like hours, not saying anything. She eventually said something again but this time JJ had re-entered the room having heard everything, you held you to his chest and you just started crying uncontrollably and fell to your knees taking JJ with you not wanting him to let go otherwise you might entirely fall apart. “I am going to go, again, I am so sorry” and with that she left leaving you there as if she didn’t just tear your whole world to pieces. You never thought Rafe could hurt you the way he has and even though you two were not official then you were working towards it and its hurtful to know that it wasn’t enough for him until he got into my pants.

“Y/N, I heard everything, I am so sorry. I cannot believe he would do that to you, I am at a loss for words. But know I am here for you, whatever you want to do. You stayed in the position you were in for what felt like forever just processing everything that just happened. You eventually said something but when JJ looked in your eyes he did not recognise you, they were dark but not with sadness with revenge and hatred and he was scared, what was going to become of you.

“We are going to that party, but I need you to do something for me” you said to him, a determined look in your eyes. “I will do anything for you” he said and you were so happy you had him in your life. You went to JJ’s room happy that you had left clothes there and some makeup from the many movie nights and smoke sessions you guys had. You got dressed in the most exposed outfit you had because you knew it pissed Rafe off when other boys gawked at you, and your intention was to have them stare. You curled your hair and put on some light makeup, when you were done you went to the living room to find JJ, he looked at you with wide eyes. “Jesus Y/N, you look incredible” he was blushing and it made you smile, you needed that confidence boost if your plan was going to work. You and JJ made your way out and headed to Toppers house for the party, Rafe was spamming your phone with calls and messages, he did not like it when you ignored him. You read them and what you got from them was ‘why aren’t you answering’ and ‘I’m running late so I’ll meet you at the party’ and ‘I missed you today’ but they all made you sick to your stomach. You arrived at the party and it was already in full swing, you got out the car and without hesitation took JJ’s hand in your ways and he went with it, you walked into the house and as expected the boys were looking, you spotted Topper and Kelce and were surprised to see that Rafe was not with them but there jaws dropped when they saw you and then confusion washed on their faces when they saw you hand in hand with JJ, you made your way over to them. “Hi boys” you said battering you eyelashes. “Hi Y/N. you looked amazing but what is this trash doing on your arm, where is Rafe?” topper questioned. “I have no idea where Rafe is and quite frankly I do not care, and JJ is here with me, so be respectful would you” you snapped back at him. He just nodded and you made your way further into the party.

You were about 5 double vodkas in and 10 shots down. Safe to say you were feeling the effects of the alcohol but you had to drown out this numbness you felt inside and everything was fine until you saw Rafe from across the yard and your heart sank. JJ noticed this sudden change in demeanour and followed your eyes to see what you were looking at and when he saw he looked back at you, Rafe had not noticed you yet. “Y/N if you are not comfortable being here, we can go, anything you want”, he said to you over the loud music. “No, I need to hurt him like he hurt me, and this is where I need your help” you said to him. By now Rafe had seen you and he was shocked that you were with JJ and also upset with what you were wearing when he had told you not to wear things like that. He started making his way over to you and you looked at JJ, “JJ, I need you to kiss me, right now” he looked confused but he wanted to do this, he has wanted to do it for a long time, under different circumstances but so be it, and with that he cupped your face in his hands and kissed you. You had imagined what it would be like to kiss JJ, but you never expected to like it this much. It was different to Rafe, he was gently and loving and you smiled against his lips. You forgot everything around you and snaked your arms around his neck and his hands find their way to your lower back still wanting to be respectful.

Rafe stopped in his tracks as he watched everything unfold in front of him, his whole world crashed around him and everything went silent. Is this real? Is he dreaming? Is the love of his life kissing someone else, especially the one person she told him not to worry about.

Rafe’s POV:

I made my way to the party after being stuck with my dad the whole day, I just wanted to see my girl, every second away from her felt like years. I am so in love with her, she is like a breath of fresh air and I wanted to give her the world. I messaged her to let her know I was running late and that I would meet her at the party but she was not answering, which is strange because she always answers my texts, but I pushed worry aside and figured she must be at the party and having good time and I just could not wait to see her. I arrived at the party and made my way inside I was looking around for Y/N but found Topper, “Yo dude, have you seen my girl?” I asked him, he looked at me with a worried expression and that did not sit right with me, “Hey, yeah dude, I saw her outside but you might not like what you see” he said “What do you mean?” I questioned now very worried, “I think you should see for yourself” he said back and you started making your way outside. What you did not expect to see was her standing with JJ, a little too close for my liking. She was wearing a very revealing outfit and as much as I hated her wearing things like that she looked so good in them and I admired how beautiful she was. I started making my way to her when the indescribable happened, she kissed JJ. I stopped in my tracks confused as to what was going on, is this a dream and I losing my mind. Is my girl kissing a pogue, in front of me. My whole world was falling around me, is she cheating on me, is this why she was ignoring me?

I could not process anything I just stood there and watched him kiss her and touch her and I swore I would be the only man to ever get to touch her lips but that clearly was not the truth, I was breaking inside and I had to know what was going on.

I walked up to them now with a lot more haste, I ripped him off of her and pushed him to the ground, “WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING?” I was yelling at him, not noticing that Y/N was crying behind me, JJ stood up, “This is not my battle Rafe, talk to Y/N” he said, he then looked at her and I followed his eyes and she was crying and my heart was breaking all over again, he said to her “Y/N, I will be in the car, come when you are ready and I will take you home” “Fuck off, I will take her home” I was still yelling. “Rafe, that is for her to decide” he said and then left to his car. I looked back at her and she was a mess, and I had no idea what was wrong but I just wanted to hold her, I tried to grab her and she pushed me away.

Y/N’S POV:

After this whole thing unfolded you could not stop the tears that were flowing, you nodded at JJ when he said he would be in the car and again you were so thankful for him. Rafe tried to hug you as JJ had left but you pushed him away and you could see in his eyes he was heart and confused. “Do not fucking touch me Rafe” you said yelling by this point everyone was looking at you two and wondering what was about to unfold. “You just fucking kissed someone else and you are made at me? What the fuck Y/N” he was now also yelling. “You know what Rafe, at least I did not fuck him when we were working on our relationship.” You said back to him, he looked as if he had no idea what you were talking about but he somehow had a feeling. “I don’t know what you are talking about” he was now speaking in a normal voice, “Oh really? You have no idea what I am talking about, is that so?” you said back to him “Can we please take this conversation to a more private area” he questioned “No Rafe, I do not want to be anywhere near you after what you have done to me, and since you have no recollection, let me enlighten you. You left me the first night we spent together, you left me to go fuck your ex-girlfriend who might I add broke up with YOU. And you know what’s funny is that is not even the best part, you want to know what it?” you said, not even caring about the tears spilling out your eyes and Rafe’s heart broke at seeing you so broken and knowing he caused it. “The best part is, it wasn’t once was it, no, it was ongoing for a week Rafe a week. While I was at home thinking about our life together you were fucking someone else” you said to him, your heart breaking with every word. He tried to grab your hand but you pulled away and he understood why “Y/N look we weren’t together then and when we started dating I cut her off, and never saw or spoke to her again” he said as if that is supposed to help, you looked at him disgusted “You think that fucking makes it better Rafe? We were working on us and getting to know each other, and you were fucking someone else. We didn’t put a label on it but in my eyes Rafe we were an item, and clearly that wasn’t enough for you. SO what was it? That I didn’t fuck you the minute we spoke so you had to get your fix somewhere else until I gave it up? Did you ever actually love me?” you said to him, sounded more broken than ever and that triggered Rafe “Do not ever say that, I did and do love you Y/N with very beat of my heart. You are the love of my life and I am so sorry. Tell me how to fix this, let me fix this, please, let me fix us” he said, now crying too. He reached out to grab you and you were too weak to fight him off and you didn’t want to, you took in his smell and the way you fit so perfectly into his arms, you stayed there for a while, “Please tell me what I can do to fix this, I will do anything, please. I can’t lose you” he pleaded. You pushed him back again and wiped the tears from your eyes. “No Rafe, you can’t fix this. I love you Rafe Cameron, but we are over. You should’ve realised this day would come the minute you stuck your dick in someone else. Goodbye Rafe.”. Those words hit Rafe so hard that he could not stop the tears. You walked away, leaving a heart broken Rafe alone at the party. You finally got to the car after making it through the masses of people. When you got in JJ’s car you could not stop the tears, he put a hand on your knee but said nothing but you knew he was there for you. He drove you back to his place not wanting to be alone. When you got to his house you climbed straight in his bed and sobbed the whole night, but JJ did not leave you alone, he laid beside you while you cried into his chest and although he was happy he had you in his arms he hated seeing you so heart broken and hated that these were the conditions in which he got to hold you close.

Pt. 2

Summary: Y/N is new in town and comes across two beautiful boys that both spark and interest in her. Which boy will she choose....

Warnings: Just some cute stuff, romance, 18+ still to come

Word Count: 3.8k words (tbf this whole story is over 10k words)

The night went on with you having dinner with Sarah, Rose, Wheezie, Ward and Rafe, much to your surprise Rafe sat right next to you. Every so often his knee would graze yours but it would linger just long enough to know he was doing it on purpose. But you could not do that as he was in a relationship and you were not that type of girl so you moved your knee further from him. The conversation flowed between you and the Cameron family, them asking about your life and you telling them everything they asked, it was a night of laughter and good chats. After dinner Sarah had asked you to stay the night to which you agreed. As dinner ended and everyone was clearing the table Rafe pulled you to the side, away from prying eyes, “Hey, Y/N, since you are staying over I wanted to know if you wanted to watch a movie later?”, you agreed but you knew you could not trust yourself to be alone in the dark with him so you insisted on Sarah joining, much to Rafe’s annoyance.

Sarah sat on the bean bag and you sat on the loveseat to which Rafe happily sat next to you but you scooted as far away as possible and it seemed to have hurt Rafe a little as his head hung low. Sarah fell asleep half way through the movie which left basically you and Rafe alone, which is what you did not want. Much to your surprise you and Rafe spoke throughout the whole rest of the movie about your lives, ambitions, goals and what you want to do after school. You actually had a lot in common and the conversation flowed like you had known each other for years, he was so easy to talk to and his laugh was something out of an angel choir, the way his head flew back when you said something funny and he giggled like a 2 year old with a new toy, he was perfect but he was not mine, he belonged to someone else.

Little did you know Rafe felt exactly the same and he had butterflies that he has never felt before, there was something about you and he was infatuated. The way your blonde hair fell perfectly passed your shoulders and down to your lower back, the way your eyes twinkled when you spoke about the things you loved and your laugh only drew him in, the little dimples that appeared every time you smiled. Rafe was hooked on you and he could not shake it, but there was one problem, he was with someone, although he did not love her anymore, he was still spoken for and he could and he could not do anything until he had sorted it out. You and Rafe had been talking for what felt like hours and you never wanted it to end, neither did he.

When Sarah eventually stirred in her sleep and woke up she insisted you two go up to bed, as she left the room, you said “I will be right there, give me a minute” she nodded groggily and left the room to go upstairs, you turned to Rafe. “Thanks for this, it has been really nice talking to someone who has similar life interests, but I better get up to bed I have a long day tomorrow” with that you stood up. But Rafe did not want you to go, he did not want this to end, and with that he grabbed your hand and yanked you onto his lap so that you were straddling him, faces inches apart. You tried to push away saying this is not right and that we can’t do this but his firm grip held you tightly in place. “I know, but I can’t pretend that I feel nothing for you, and I don’t think you can either” he said, and you just looked at him. With that being said he kissed you, so eager and so lustful like he had been waiting for this moment for so long and with ease you reciprocated the kiss. It got really heated with you pulling on his hair and his one hand snaking around your throat while the other gripped your ass, he then picked you up and flipped you around to lie on the couch as he hovered over you, he hand then snaked it way under your shirt till it was firmly cupping your breast, you didn’t want this to end but it was not right and with that realisation you quickly pushed him off of you and stood up leaving both of you panting, Rafe looked at you with sad eyes but he too knew you couldn’t be doing this not when he was in a relationship.

“Rafe, that should never have happened, I am not this person” you said with tears threating to spill. He stood up and cupped your face “I know, but there is something about you and I can’t seem to shake it” he said. You pulled away “That cannot happen again, you are in a relationship.” You stated and started walking away, “I don’t love her you know, haven’t for a while. And you have just confirmed that” he said as you were walking away. He continued, “I want you, in more ways than one, and I know we only just met but I feel like we just connect and I feel like I have known you forever and its magic Y/N. Tell me you feel it too?” you stopped in your tracks and turned to him “Rafe, I do feel it but as long as you are with someone else we cannot do anything about us.” He looked as if he was contemplating something, “I’ll leave her if that means I get a chance with you.” He said, “When that happens we can talk, but don’t leave her on my account Rafe. Do it because you feel it’s right not because you feel you have to.” You said, he walked towards you and cupped your face with both hands, “This, this is what I want. You, to get to know you and spend time with you but I have to sort some things out first” and with that he planted one small kiss on your lips and left, leaving you there on your own thinking about what just happened.

The next morning was your first day of school, as you got ready you kept replaying last night, how could you let that happen, you made your way to the kitchen, now back home and saw your dad in the kitchen just about to leave, he said his goodbyes and with that he was off to work. You ate breakfast and then got ready to leave, as there was no uniform you put on a short floral white skirt along with a tight white crop top hugging you in all the right places, you paired it with some white converse and you were off. You knew you would not bump into Rafe today as he went to another school which was a relief, you got to school and thankfully all the pogues were there, and there he was the blue eyed, blonde haired boy who yesterday asked you to go for a ride after school but after what happened with Rafe you don’t know if you could, seeing as you already felt so strongly about someone in a relationship.

No, you know what I am going to go as Rafe is in a relationship and that does not mean I can’t go out too. He smiled at you as you walked towards them giving you a small wink, “Hey guys” you said and they all said hey back, you all spoke for a bit until the bell rang, and you walked to class, JJ being the first to offer his assistance in showing you around which you were thankful for. School went on as normal and then came break you all met outside in the seating area and you and JJ got to talking, you spoke about your plan for after school and where to meet, you spoke for a while until a girl with long brunette hair and piercing greens eyes walked up to us and sat right next to JJ. She was beautiful, in every way, but I got this weird feeling from her by the way she sat so close to JJ and placed her hand on his leg.

JJ spoke up after removing her hand from his leg and placing his on yours, it was quite cute actually, much to her hatred. She piped up “Hi, I am Jennifer, but you can call me Jen. You have either heard of me or my boyfriend Rafe, the hottest guy in OBX”, now you had to introduce yourself to the girlfriend of the boy you heavily made out with last night. “Hi, I’m Y/N. I am new here” she did not look to impressed, looking you up and down as if she was judging you silently, which she probably was. She ignored you and faced JJ, “So, JJ what are you doing later” she said fluttering her eyes, which was weird to me because she Is with Rafe. “I am taking Y/N out on a date” he said and looked at me and smiled. She was not happy and that only made me smile more, I took JJ’s hand in mine and I stood up and we walked away, not letting go of his hand which he did not seem to mind. The rest of the school day went by as expected, you trying to locate your classes and getting up to speed with everything, as you entered the school year halfway through it. After school I met JJ outside where he had said by the bike parking spaces.

I walked up to him sat on his bike, but god he was so hot, I honestly felt so lucky that this man wanted to take me out but my head kept going back to Rafe, but I had to shake that. I got on the back on his bike and put my helmet on, what I did not notice was Rafe sitting in his jeep across the lot watching us, he was there to pick up Jennifer but he was seething, he hated seeing you touch another boy, let alone that worthless pogue, but he knew you were free to do what you wanted as he was in a relationship which he planned to end today. But seeing you with someone other than him killed him, and the thought of another boy touching or kissing you made his blood boil. He was so distracted by watching you two ride off that he did not notice Jen enter the call calling his name.

“Rafe, hello? ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING TO ME?” she yelled snapping him out of his haze. “No, sorry what did you say” he said looking at her, she was mad because she could see him staring at you and that pissed her off. She did not love Rafe, she wanted JJ but she could not let the new girl have both Rafe and JJ. So she put a plan in motion to tear both boys away from you. Starting with JJ. She had to push you closer to Rafe, so that she could have JJ and then when that happened she would inevitably get Rafe back, leaving you with nothing.

“Rafe, we both know this relationship has been over for a while now, so with that being said I think we should end it and go our separate ways. And don’t think I haven’t noticed you staring at Y/N. It was fun while it lasted Rafe” after she said that she got out his car. Rafe had not said anything as she has basically just done what he was going to do although he could not think of that right now all he could think about was you and where you were.

You and JJ finally arrived at the spot he had been talking about and it was incredible, the view of the whole of OBX with the sun setting at just the perfect spot, he had set up such a beautiful picnic for the two of you and you were so grateful. You two sat down and drank champagne and spoke till the sun was down and the moon and the stars where out, you spoke about everything and anything just enjoying each other’s company. It was the best time, and for the time being you forgot about Rafe and were just in the moment with JJ, everything about him was perfect, his laugh, his smile and the way he spoke about everything he loved and wanted to do. He was so soft and gentle and you could tell he had a good heart, you were just staring at him with awe as he spoke and in that moment all you really wanted to do was kiss him, so you did, you took his face and pulled it towards you and planted a kiss on his lips and he was shocked, you pulled away and quickly apologised, “I am sorry, I don’t know what came over me” you said covering your face with your hands, he pulled your hands into his and looked at you, “never apologise for that, I would do it again 10 times over” after saying that he leaned in again and kissed you, it was much different to the way Rafe kissed you, JJ kissed you with passion and love and Rafe kissed you with lust and wanting. Both incredible but so different and your head was scrambled. You and JJ spent a few more hours there just enjoying each other’s company until you had to head home.

JJ dropped you off at the ned of the road of Tannyhill and gave you a sweet kiss goodbye, “thank you for tonight Y/N, it was incredible and I hope we can do it again soon. I’ll call you later okay?” he said and I nodded and he left.

You did have the greatest time with JJ but as you were walking up the road to your house your mind kept going back to Rafe, what was it about him that you could not shake, but you knew you would kick yourself if you didn’t see it out. Little to you knowledge Rafe had watched the entire thing unfold with you and JJ in the driveway and he refused to lose you to a fucking pogue. He knew he had to do something, so that is exactly what he did, and it was something. Rafe ran out of his house and caught up to you before you could get into your house. He ran up to you out of breath and you could not help but admire how beautiful he was, even when he was out of breath.

“Rafe, what are you doing, did you just run here?” you questioned him, wanting to know why he was here and if he saw you kiss JJ. You felt guilty about it, even though you had no reason to, you are single. “Y/N, I need to tell you something, well a lot actually” he trailed off, he almost looked nervous and you had no idea why, or what he wanted to talk to you about. “Uhm, Jen and I broke up today. I just couldn’t be with someone I did not love anymore, especially when I felt such strong feelings about someone else, that someone else being you. Look what I am trying to say is that, I like you Y/N, a lot and I cannot get you out of my head, and I know I just got out of a relationship like literally 4 hours ago, but God do I want to be with you, so bad. I want to spoil you and praise you and treat you like gold, I want to love you and cherish you and do everything in life with you by my side. You obliged and jumped into his arms while he carried you into the house. He made his way to your bedroom, surprised he knew which one but I guess he did use to live here so he was very familiar with the property. He laid you on your bed and continued kissing you he hands found their way under your shirt and cupped your boob and he started playing with them, you wanted this, you wanted him but not so soon. You pushed him off gently, he looked very confused “Rafe, I want this, but not right now, it’s too soon, I want to get to know you more, can we take this slow? I also want to talk to JJ, he deserves to know” you said quietly not wanting to upset him, a part of you also wanted to make sure he actually wanted to be with you and not just sleep with you. “He cupped you face when you two sat up, “Baby, I will do anything you want, if you want to take it slow, we can take it slow, whatever makes you happy” he said in the softest voice, and you couldn’t help but feel that you were going to fall and crash hard in love with this boy. You two spent the rest of the night talking about yourselves and your families and your backgrounds. You spoke about your insecurities and what kept you up at night, you spoke about the things you both loved in life and your dreams. You spoke until the sun rose and what was hours felt like minutes, being with him was natural. Rafe was in his element, he loved every second and every moment with you and he never wanted to leave. This very moment reminded Rafe of a song and he grabbed his phone as you were falling asleep laying on his chest, he thought you were sleep but you were in and out just listening to his heart beat and him stroking your hair, then he started playing the song and your heart skipped a beat,

When the song eventually ended you felt tears well up in your eyes, you never knew you could feel for someone so deeply so quickly.

The two of you eventually trailed off to sleep for what felt like 5 minutes because then your alarm went off and you knew you had to go to school and tell JJ what you felt for Rafe.

You stirred awake and noticed that Rafe was not there, you were confused why would he leave you? But as you turned you saw a note on your pillow and you smiled, it read “My beautiful girl, sorry I had to leave you, I would of woken you but you looked so peaceful sleeping. I had to run some errands for my dad but I will see you later xoxo Rafe”

You held the note close to your heart so tightly, you got up and got dressed for school, slightly dreading it because you had to see JJ and tell him. He had phoned you last night like he said but given the situation you were in you didn’t answer. You got to school and saw JJ sitting out in front and he gave the biggest smile when he saw you and your heart dropped, you were now going to have to break his heart and that did not sit right with you but you can’t deny what you feel for Rafe.

“Hello gorgeous” he said beaming and he tried to kiss you but you swerved and he was confused, “Hey J, we need to talk” you said and he looked worried but agreed. You went and sat next to him and took a few minutes before saying something and he waited patiently. “I had an amazing time last night, just so you know, but a few things happened when you left and it is the right thing to tell you” you continued “Rafe came and visited me and we spoke for a really long time and JJ I cannot deny what I feel for him, and I can’t live with myself if I did not see it out. I do like you JJ, I really do but I feel gravitated towards Rafe, I am so sorry. I would still love to be in your life and be friends but that is purely up to you and I will respect your decision” you said shyly. He dropped his head and was silent for what felt like hours but he then said something and you half expected him to absolutely demolish you, but that is the opposite of what he did and you kind of wished he hated you to make it easier.

“Look Y/N, obviously that is not great to hear, because I saw potential in us, but I will never stop you from following your heart, I will stand by your side, because you are an amazing person. I would love to still be in your life, that won’t change just because of who you are with. This sucks it really does, but all I want is for you to be happy and if that is with someone else so be it” he said sadly but you could see he was telling the truth. You looked at him with sweet eyes and then pulled him into a hug and the rest is history.

You are the new girl

Pt. 1

Summary: Y/N is new in town and comes across two beautiful boys that both spark and interest in her. Which boy will she choose....

Warnings: Just some cute stuff, romance, 18+ still to come

Word Count: 2.7k words (tbf this whole story is over 10k words)

You were new to the outer banks, having moved down only two days ago with your dad. It was just you and him, your mom walked out on the two of you when you were 8 and she never looked back. You did not mind it being just the two of you, he did everything for you, to make sure you had everything you wanted, or at least what he could afford to give you. Your dad was a contract Architect working on a new build upon Tannyhill. He had told me that Mr. Cameron wanted a new pool house where he would put all his boating and scuba equipment. Must be nice to have that kind of money at your reach, you lived a very different life, you and your dad just getting by so when he got this job opportunity he could not pass it up. As for the reason that we had to relocate was because we lived too far away for my dad to have to drive down every day and Mr. Cameron insisted on us living in his second house just off the side of Tannyhill. You were not too happy on the fact that he was up and relocating your whole life for a 1 year contract work but you couldn’t fight him because we really needed the money. You moved the Friday and spent the whole weekend getting your house sorted for your dad and you while he went to the Cameron’s to discuss the plans for the future pool house, you spent majority of the weekend unpacking boxes and getting everything in order. The house thankfully already had furniture so it was just a matter of unpacking all the little trinkets and things to make it feel a bit more like home, leaving your clothing boxes for last as you knew that was a mountain to climb on its own.

You had just turned 18 and had made some really great friends in your old school and to have to leave them in your last year of school really put your dad in your bad books and he knew that so he did everything to make your stay great, although it did not turn out too well for him as he was always busy at the Cameron’s, early mornings and late nights and you barely saw him. You moved In the summer so you still had time before school started which you were absolutely dreading being the new kid. You had got to explore a bit during the few days off and you had come to learn that the island was split in two parts, the rich and the poor and even though you would not consider yourself rich you were staying on the ‘kook’ side of the island, much to your dismay as you had come to learn that they were not nice people. You had never met one of the kooks but from what you heard they were snobs who knew they had money and did not care to show it.

The Monday before school started you had decided to go for a stroll down to the docks and came across a group of teens that looked about your age, from the way they were dressed you assumed they were pogues, the poorer side, as they say. You went and introduced yourself in the hopes they went to the same school and were nice, it would be nice to at least know a few people at school so that you were not completely alone.

You walked up to them and shyly introduced yourself, “Hi I’m Y/N”, you said and they all looked up a little shocked but soon their sheepish faces turned to smiles as they all introduced themselves. The first was a curly, brown haired girl, “Hi Y/N, lovely to meet you I am Kiara” you smiled and shook her hand the next one who looked a little more put together than the rest was a blonde haired girl, “Hiya, I am Sarah”, you smiled back to her, the next to say hello were two boys almost simultaneously saying “Hello” they soon introduced themselves as John B and Pope. They all seemed lovely, except there was one boy that had not yet said anything, to be fair I do not think he had noticed you coming up to them as he was distracted with something else.

He would soon draw his attention to you, his eyes glistened a little in the sun and you noticed his beautiful blonde hair and his piercing blue eyes looking directly at you, you smiled as he scanned you up and down, his eyes lingering a little too long on your figure, making you blush a little. You were becoming more aware that the shorts you were wearing were very short and the small shirt covering your boobs was a little to see through, you swiftly crossed your arms across your chest causing the blonde haired boy to blush as he realised he had been staring and you had noticed. He got up from where he as sitting and made his way over to you as he got to you he said so smoothly “Well you must be new here because I would have noticed someone as breath-taking as you walking around her, hi I’m JJ. And it is my pleasure to meet you”, you could not help but blush and let a small smile creep up to your lips and you said a shy “Nice to meet you, I’m Y/N” back to him.

After all the introductions were done, noticing that JJ had been taking small stares at you thinking you were noticing, Kiara had asked you if you were new to town as she nor the others had seen you around at all. You went on to say, “ I actually moved here around 4 days ago with my Dad, he is an architect and he is currently contracting for some guy named Ward Cameron, we had to relocate cause it was too far for my dad to drive everyday so Ward was nice enough to offer us a place to stay while my dad got to work”, Sarah’s mouth was almost agape but with a hint of a smile, she almost exploded out and said “Oh my God, no fucking way, so you must be the girl staying in our old house” You were a bit confused at first then starting putting the pieces together, your dad had mentioned Ward had 3 kids, a daughter your age, a son a year older and another daughter a few years younger you could not quite remember their names, but you now gathered Sarah was the daughter your age. She immediately ran over and gave you a big hug and continued saying “We are going to be such good friends, well me, you and the pogues”

You all got to talking and found out you would all be going to the same school, all apart from Sarah who was in a more expensive school, one that we could not afford, but I was okay with that as you knew you would have the rest of the pogues. They filled you in on how Sarah was dating John B and no longer really considered herself a Kook as she got along more with the pogues, during your whole exchanging of stories with the pogues you kept noticing JJ’s wondering eye that constantly gravitated toward you but you obviously also had a wondering eye as you and him would make constant eye contact and both smile sheepishly and look away while you blushed bright red.

As it got later, you knew it was time to go home, as your dads rules were when the sun goes down and the street lights come on you need to be home, he was unaware of the area and did not want you wondering around alone at night. You said bye to the gang and assured them you would see them the next day at school, Sarah offered to walk with you as you two were staying on the same plot of land, which was nice of her and it gave you time to get to know her and maybe find out more about JJ. But almost poetically just as you were walking away JJ ran up to you and Sarah and grabbed your wrist to make you face him. You were shocked at first as was Sarah but were curious to hear what he has to say, “Hey, uhm, I was uhm wondering if you would like to go for a ride tomorrow after school, I know a really cool spot for a picnic If you would like, get to know the area and me a little more. I mean if that is something you want?”, you could tell he was nervous in asking you from the way he was rubbing the back of his head and frantically searching your eyes for any sign of an answer. He seemed to loosen up a little when he saw you smile and nod your head along with a “Yes, JJ, I would love nothing more than that, after school yea?” he nodded in response and you turned and walked away with Sarah giggling by your side. Your short walk home was filled with little conversations about the area and her relationship with John B and her ex Topper and her brother Rafe. As we got to the fork of the road, one leading to Tannyhill and one to the house I was staying in, I was about to say bye when she invited me over for dinner to meet her family. You felt bad to say no as you did want to meet her family especially as they were giving you some place to stay so you agreed and she shot a big smile across her face and dragged your hand towards the house.

As you got closer you realised just how big the house was and just how much money the Cameron’s must have, you were taken back and at a loss for words, it was almost as if she read your mind as you got to the front door as she piped up and said “I know, it is a lot to take in, a bit much if you ask me but that is Ward Cameron for you”

You walked in with her as she introduced you to Rose her stepmother, and Wheezie her younger sister who were both in the kitchen cooking up a storm, you introduced yourself and they were both happy to have you over, Sarah then dragged you upstairs to her dads office where she introduced you to her dad, “Hey Dad, this is Y/N, she is Y/D/N daughter, I invited her over for dinner, I hope that is alright?”, he got up from the desk he was sitting at and walked over to you, he carried himself with wealth and pride and you kind of admired him for the life he has built for himself and his family. He reached his hand out to shake yours and you complied, “Hi Y/N, I am Ward, lovely to meet you. Your dad is a very talented man and I think he will do wonders here”, “Thank you, he is pretty great”, you replied. He continued “Also, of course it is fine that you stay for dinner, next time bring your old man up here too” you simply nodded as Sarah dragged you out of his office and downstairs.

But there was a different plan for you, as you exited Ward’s office, you had bumped hard into the chest of a very tall man, as you looked up you stared into these piercing blue eyes and a slight smirk that crossed his face.

The tall man grabbed your elbows as to stop you from falling over, you immediately started apologising for not looking where you were going. “I am so sorry, I really need to watch where I am going”, you half hated yourself for being so clumsy, he hushed you in the softest voice, “Don’t worry about it gorgeous, you can bump into me anytime” he said with a wink. Sarah then stepped in and I soon realised that this must be Rafe, her brother, although a warning on how handsome this man was would have been nice. “Rafe, back up off her man” Sarah said and you were kind of angry that she did and you wanted to be up close to him and smell his cologne.

“Also, stop flirting, you have a girlfriend”, she continued. Your face instantly dropped at the thought of his girlfriend, not that you had a chance anyway. Rafe seemed to have noticed this sudden shift in your demeanour and that intrigued him, although he was taken he had never seen someone so perfect and so soft in his life. It made him want to know everything about her, and where she came from and why she was here which is weird as he had spoken but a mere word to her.

“This is Y/N, her dad is building the new pool house. I would appreciate if you did not corrupt her as she is staying on the property.” Sarah interrupted the longing look between the two of you, noticing that Rafe’s hand was still holding your elbow, which did not go unnoticed by you either, but you could not bring yourself to pull away.

But after Sarah made that statement he retracted his hand and moved slightly back “You know Sarah, this might come as a shock but not ever girl I meet, I want to fuck. I am taken, remember” Rafe stated harshly, and he cursed himself for saying those words because there was something about you that he could not quite put his finger on but he wanted more. Sarah scoffed and pulled you with her, but just as she walked away Rafe mumbled just loud enough for you to hear, “God, she is so fucking beautiful” as he muttered these words he had caught on that you heard and he blushed at the thought. He winked at you as you were being pulled away and you knew that this would not be your last encounter with Rafe Cameron.

Rafe’s POV:

He has just gotten off the phone with his girlfriend, surprise, surprise another fight, he was so sick of the arguments and fights. Quite frankly he did not love her anymore, he hadn’t for a while now and he knew he had to end it. He wanted to chat to his dad and see if he could give him any advice on what to do. As he exited his room and made his way to his dads office Sarah had walked out, but he hadn’t noticed the girl following closely behind her. She had bumped right into his chest and he grabbed her elbows to steady her so that she did not fall over, although when he looked down to see who it was he was taken back by her absolute beauty, he had never seen someone so beautiful and he did not know what to say. He was mesmerised, he wanted to know who this was. He noticed her long blonde hair, that seemed to have lighter streaks all over, but looked natural. He noticed her beautiful green/blue eyes. He was hooked on her smell, let alone her looks.

After I had finished taking in every inch of her she started apologising, I said to her “Don’t worry about it gorgeous, you can bump into me anytime” and saw a shy smile creep on her lips, probably the most breath-taking smile you have ever seen. Sarah obviously stuck her nose in it and ruined it and said I had a girlfriend, unaware of the fact that we were basically on waters edge. At the mention of a girlfriend her face dropped and I was intrigued, did she feel the same way about me as I did her. But my brain is too slow for my stupid mouth and I said some cocky line that I instantly regretted. I found out her name was Y/N, the most gorgeous name, and that she was staying on the property. This was the best news.

Sarah pulled her away and I mumbled under my breath unable to keep it to myself and she heard me and I was part glad that she did so that she was aware and with that I winked at her and she was gone. I had a feeling that this would not be my last encounter with her, I really hoped it wasn’t
