grief and it's effects on us was a Major theme in chibnall dw and why are some people acting like that is bad? Is it not cutesy enough? Not heart warming enough? Do you think children do not know grief? Do not know death? Do not deserve a fictional hand to hold them through?

the grief and hope themes in the era are deeply intertwined and this is a Feature, and it certainly is not grim or uncaring.

I want a miniseries thing about the Doctor and Donna, where a neighbor who has been living next door since before Donna moved in is perfectly pleasant to Donna but is a total sitcom nemesis to the Doctor. Criticizing his dish for the potluck, doing home repair when the Doctor is trying to nap, making conflicting plans with Donna… stuff like that. All very b- or c-plot, just a recurring bit character, never involved in the main story in any way.

It’s not until after the credits of the last episode that it’s revealed that it was the Master the entire time, enjoying a decades-long low-key vacation.

personally would really enjoy a dr who episode where the whirlwind single-episode romance (a la the girl in the fireplace) is between the companion and a historical figure instead of the doctor. And while the short-lived love story should be beautiful in its own right I think there should also be a moment of realization at the inevitable tragic end where the companion is like oh this is what love is like for you all the time.

Nothing will ever be as funny to me as doctor who from the masters pov. Your best friend wanders into the woods and befriends a group of squirrels. He decides he will protect that specific tree with his life, even at the cost of your own species. You are the last two humans in the world. You once again try to burn down that fucking tree

Both 12 and clara will say the most mean shit out of nowhere but the difference between them is 12 just literally has no filter and little social awareness but for Clara she just cannot stop herself from saying witty one liners even if they’re the most fucking insulting out of pocket things you’ve ever heard in your life because she thinks she’s hilarious.

Danny on their joking about a student and saying “I was so mad I could kill her” and her saying “from you that really means something” is absolutely deranged. AFTER they had already gotten into an argument about THIS EXACT SITUATION where she made a joke about him killing people. And then he talks about how he saved villages by digging wells and she can’t stop herself from also doing a little quip about that too. “No water for the table he can just dig for it.” And the thing is she’s right that was worth it
