"Happy birthday ameeri!" He smiled and hugged him tight after taking off an apron and held out a rose to him. "Yami has the gifts but I was putting the last touches in the kitchen."

Hugging him back, he figured his face would freeze, he was smiling so much. "Thank you, Ate. I saw, I can't thank you both enough." He took the rose, bringing it to his nose. "Mmm..."

"Happy Birthday Aibou." He held out a lily and smiled, "Rohi and I have stuff for you!" He had wrapped the gifts last night, getting papercuts for his efforts, but he had done it himself as Atem slept.

Yugi blinked in surprise, carefully taking the lily. He smiled softly, tearing up a little. "Oh Yami... thank you." He hugged him tightly. "I almost don't want to open them... they look beautiful. I can't wrap to save my life." He laughed.

"The good thing about camping is you really don't have to wear clothes when swimming."

"Whew... Egypt is hot, but it is so nice to get away from the snow for a little bit. Still have a few days before Grandpa and I head back home. Why can't spring break be longer than a week?"

He curled into him, burying his face in the crook of his neck. "I promise... I will be here as long as you want me to be." He closed his eyes, fingers curling into Atem's shirt. He felt so empty and hollow.

Walks up and wraps his arms around his waist, pulling him close and burying his face in his hair. "Ameeri..."

Blinks and turns his his head slightly to glance at him “Ate…” Leans back against him, closing his eyes.

"Maybe..." Sighs and looks at him. "Ate... you aren't resting like you should. Neither of us have been, and I'm betting Yami hasn't either." He takes his hand, tugging him towards the couch. "Come on. We are taking a nap."

He smiled brightly at her. "Mai!" He made his way to her and hugged her tight. "It's so good to see you! It's been a while."

"You’re all quite of a mix lot, huh?" She looked at every person before giving a wave. "Mai Kujaku, Queen of the Harpies. Please to meet you all."

She then notice another Yuugi in the crowd and she couldn’t help but smile at him. “Hey Yuugi! Are you doing, hon?”

He sat there, shaking from the cold and the adrenaline running through him. Every word that had been said was being repeated in his head. What had happened to them? Why was he fighting with the people he loved more than anything.

The streetlight reflected off the blade in his hands. He hadn't done this in a long time... he hadn't wanted to. Even now, he didn't want to. What he wanted was to feel Yami and Atem's arms around him, safe and warm and happy. Was that too much to ask? He looked up at the sky. "Is it a trade? I get them, but we can't be happy? It that how this works?" 

He sighed, looking back down. His feet were buried in snow. How long had he been out here anyway? Oh, well. He laid his head back against the trunk of the tree, closing his eyes. It was quiet out here. Peaceful.

*shakily reaches for the drawer to the left of him, pulling out one of the sharper knives, steps back and walks, in a daze to the back yard, sitting under the only tree out there, it was snowing, he wasn't wearing a jacket or shoes, but he couldn't feel it, he couldn't feel anything, he just sat there, the knife in his hands, just staring at it*
