There are more gaming PCs out there than a person can imagine but few are the ones that truly stick out from the competition. The CyberPower Gamer Xtreme VR computer is one of the best current gaming rigs out there. Not only it is priced very well but it packs some serious punch by having the latest and fastest components a gamer needs.
Our Verdict: Having an 8th gen CPU combined with the latest Nvidia GTX graphics card and the whopping 16 GB of RAM this computer can do things others simply can’t. It comes with a pre-installed Windows 10 Home Edition and you also get a gaming mouse and keyboard as a gift from the company. All that makes this a hard-to-skip opportunity for any gamer out there.
Let’s get into this review now and see why this computer stands out so much and is the go-to choice of most gaming enthusiasts in 2019.
Overview and Features
What in our opinion makes this computer so popular aren’t the specs inside. It is the visuals. It is true that looks sell because this PC looks stunning from all angles. The red accents are an amazing touch and scream gaming and performance. There are 4 red LED circles upfront and one in the back which goes around the main cooling fan.
This particular configuration that we are reviewing doesn’t come with the noise reduction fans but you can get them for a few extra bucks. The side profile is transparent, encased with tempered glass to add to the premium feel. That transparent profile allows for the red glow to shine freely at night and for you to be able to check out all of the internal components. As a whole, this is one of the best-looking models currently and it will hardly ever look dated or not as cool.
The Processor
This is where things get pretty serious with the CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme VR. The processor inside is an Intel Core i7-8700. This is the latest i7 from intel’s line-up. The 8th gen (called Coffee lake) packs some serious punch. With its 6 cores all running at 3.2 GHz it is more than capable of handling anything you throw at it. That combined with the fast SSD, RAM, and superb GPU is a combination that can handle most modern games at frame rates above 60 even on Ultra Graphics.
The RAM Memory
Nowadays, computers are coming with a standard RAM from around 8GBs but CyberPower PCs just couldn’t settle with that. Instead, you will be getting 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.
What this means is that apart from a gaming rig this computer can be used for multi-tasking, and heavy programs such as Sony Vegas, Final Cut Pro, Cubase, and others.

Nvidia GTX 1060
The star of the show in this configuration is definitely the graphics card (GPU). It is featured by an Nvidia GTX 1060 series which is the third most powerful GPU from their line-up falling short only from the 1070 and 1080 models.
In our opinion, the GTX 1060 is the best price-to-value ratio GPU out there currently and has an unbelievable performance for a budget price when it comes to Nvidia’s products.
This 3GB graphics card will not only run your games smoothly but will allow you to have multiple 4K monitors and experience VR in its best form, as it is VR-ready.
This rig has been tested and meets the supporting requirements to be used with HTC’s Vive VR set and the Oculus Rift.
Since virtual reality is the next big thing in gaming it is good to know that your PC is future-proofed in such a way.
Storage
What you get here in terms of storage are two drives – one SSD (120GB) and one HDD (1TB). The software part is put on the SSD for fast boot-up speeds, while everything else can be stored on the fast HDD which runs at 7200 RPMs.
Ports
The ports are good enough. Not great but just good enough to support most of your connectivity needs. What we like are the 5 USB 3s which will allow you to plug in almost all modern devices. The lack of USB C is something you might miss but that is still a rare thing nowadays. You get:
1 DVI
1 HDMI
1 Display Port
5 USB 3.1
2 USB 2.0
1 Ethernet port
7.1 Audio jack
Price & Additional Features
Lastly, let’s talk about the price. Even when not discounted, this PC is a total deal compared to similar models that are priced a few hundred dollars above. If you want a more powerful version there are options with an Nvidia RTX 2060, or a GTX 1660 Titan Series, which will set you back a few hundred dollars more.
Additionally, to your purchase, you will be getting a full 1-year warranty for everything and a free Windows 10 Home Edition. On top of that, you get a lifetime tech support from CyberPowerPC.
