With swap falls on the horizon, I wanna make a post with info about something. This is really long so bear with me.

Not a lot of people nowadays understand terms like “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat” (ao3 ogs you know that all too well) or the true meaning of Proship or Comship. And with me being a serious writer who doesn’t beat around the bush with toxic content, these might be prevalent. I MAY be a bit off with the comship meaning, but it’s the same gist.

First thing: “Dead Dove: Do Not Eat” means that, no matter the creator’s stance on what’s included in a story, it’s taken very seriously. In ye old AO3 days it basically meant “heed the tags cause they’re not an exaggeration”, or whatever the author used to categorize the story was fully intended to be in the story. Like in my “it’s not your fault” story, for example, I was serious about the medical trauma. Silly went through a lot to turn into who he was before being shattered, went through a lot to cause his issues.

Next I wanna properly define Proship and Comship, as it seems not a lot of people actually understand it. Even me, apparently.

Proship doesn’t mean problematic, like I thought previously, it means you are PRO SHIPPING. as in for shipping regardless of its nature. Toxic, wholesome, fluffy or dark. Basically saying people can ship whoever.

A COMshipper is someone who enjoys something regardless of its nature like proship, but supports the toxic or problematic qualities. This makes them complicated, hence the com in comshipper.

Don’t like it? You don’t have to! I stand with Alex on shipping, as I don’t care what you ship in my universe as long as y’all’re happy.

Think my Dipper X Gideon (basically mabcifica yaoi) is bad? That’s fine! I just hope you enjoy the rest of my au. Think Mabel and Gideon would actually work in this AU and wanna make fan art (as it would be adjacent to dipcifica)? Go for it! I’d love to see your work. Think pyramid scheme isn’t toxic enough and want to add some more depth to it? You might just inspire me!

Proshipping isn’t bad. Ship and let ship! If you don’t like my ships but enjoy my content anyway, that’s fine. As long as you enjoy it I don’t mind.

Comshippers please DNI, purely as I don’t think supporting manipulation and whatnot is okay. Enjoying a ship despite the negative qualities yet not ignoring them, however? That’s completely fine!

I may not ship what you ship, and you may not ship what I ship, but that doesn’t mean one of us is right or wrong. Yes, I’ll have ships that I’ll be more insistent of in swap falls, but that doesn’t mean you can’t defy them.

Sorry this is so long, I just wanna make sure all of you understand I’ll take these ships seriously and the negatives aren’t to be ignored.

TL;DR, I take writing too seriously and I’ll be shipping characters who would be toxic. I don’t support the toxic qualities, but that doesn’t make me bad. If you support the toxic stuff irl and not just online, DNI.

I know it’s been a while since the last swap falls post, but I’m still writing ;-; not everyone is done yet.

But an update on swap falls: I have Steve (swapped with bill), Stan and Ford (swapped with each other), Dipper and Mabel (swapped), Pacifica and Gideon (swapped), and Robbie (swapped with Wendy) written and with faces. Not full bodies yet, and also Ford’s drawing is a bit…iffy, but it’s written.

Oh! And some more of who switches with who! Susan swaps with Fidds, Soos with Tate (I had to finagle that one), Lee with Nate (Wendy’s friends), Thompson with Tambry, Candy with Grenda, Sheriff Blubs with Deputy Durland, Agent Powers with Agent Trigger (they prob won’t change much), Tony Determined with Shandra Jimenez (the reporter he crushed on), and so forth.

Also I made a digital render of Steve!!! I’ll post it as well as his lore very soon, but I wanna get a few more digital renders first. And I wanna at least get Wendy, Soos, Tate, Susan and McGucket’s lore, decide what I’m doing with Waddles (might swap him with McGucket’s raccoon wife), draw the characters that I make lore for, etc.

Thank you all for loving this au so much! I might make a few teaser posts but lemme know if yall want them! But also I have ADHD and if I do something half way but show people before I finish, I end up dropping it. Asks are okay, btw!

I think this would be the ONLY instance that the Mabel X Gideon ship is okay(/dra). Like they slowly are like “hey, if we do this he’ll be nicer” and then Gideon apologizes and they work together to plan with ford on how TF to get out.

doodles from my bill wins au: bill is able to hold stan, dipper, and mabel hostage, allowing him to manipulate ford into handing over the equation. bill forces ford to marry him and gives mabel to gideon. (who is very quickly realizing bill's like Evil evil and he may have fucked up.) ford has to support mabel through learning how to navigate being a pawn in bill's game, how to grin and bare it, and most importantly how to be patient and not let bill know what cards are up your sleeve
