TTS – AOS – ListWars Season 1 – Tournament #1 Losers 1
This is a series where I will be holding tournaments with myself using multiple lists to get practice with writing and weilding them and see which I want to carry on using. This is the first tournament which means it’s Dark Aelf themed and the first losers round which means this is now a 1500 points lists.
In the last round an awkward situation lead to a draw which was settled with two turns…

Tabletop Simulator - Age of Sigmar
Tabletop Simulator – Age of Sigmar
I have some “big” plans for making Warhammer Age of Sigmar Battle reports on Table Top Simulator but first I want to test some lists. To do this I’m going to have a tournament where I play them all against each other to see how they compete. My initial plan was to use my years of esports knowledge to create an uber tournament to challenge them all. But I worried that my short attention span…

"Yes, and" On Creative Perspective and auteurship
“Yes, and” On Creative Perspective and auteurship
Day9 described a level in The Beginner’s Guide, on his fantastic show Mostly Walking (which has now spured multiple articles by me), as having a “resounding perspective. His description of this (at around 57 minutes) really stuck a chord with me and got me thinking. He talked about how if you get a million people to write jokes you will only get 6/10s and although he used this as a set up for a…

Designing Rank Systems In Video Games
A lot is said about rank systems in games, about how they can cause anxiety, lead to bullying and a toxic environment, about how accurate or otherwise they are along with how they are an important reasons why some people continue to play games. For some players they’re a needless distraction from enjoying the game but for most they’re a goal that keeps them playing and for some it’s the only…

₽0 Challenge - How to Tarkov on a Budget - Episode 3: Easy Interchange Farming Route
₽0 Challenge – How to Tarkov on a Budget – Episode 3: Easy Interchange Farming Route
This is one that I think is really useful, I could probably spend some time editing a more bite sized guide and I may do in the future, but this is a quick and dirty example of an easy and relatively safe Interchange route that can consistently get you a reasonably amount (100k+ at the very least) and a few kills along the way.

₽0 Challenge - Episode 2: Introducing Reserve
₽0 Challenge – Episode 2: Introducing Reserve
In this episode I try to show an overview of how to play the map Reserve on a budget. This doesn’t go so well but that’s ok, you can’t win them all and this is meant to be a guide for new players who will have rounds like these so it’s all part of the journey in the end.
My progress towards ₽1 000 000 continues.

₽0 Challenge - How to Tarkov on a Budget - Episode 1: Scavenging in Factory
₽0 Challenge – How to Tarkov on a Budget – Episode 1: Scavenging in Factory
Recently I’ve heard a lot of questions/complaining to big streamers like Sacriel about “how do I make money” and “can you suggest some budget gear” and “I’m having a hard time sustaining gear” ect.
But Sacriel says making money in Tarkov is easy and I agree, but to the average player it maybe doesn’t seem achievable.
That’s where I come in, because I am nothing if not an average player.

How to Tarkov on a budget - Pilot
How to Tarkov on a budget – Pilot
While doing a test run to see if my computer could handle streaming Tarkov I had an awesome pistol run which I felt proved my point about making money in Tarkov being easy too well to not post, so take this as a sort of Pilot or Test for the series that I hope will be coming very soon!

Day Seven - Sometimes Less Is More
Day Seven – Sometimes Less Is More
Today I decided I might go back to work more on one of the pieces I’d started already and listening through all of them again the piano in the second drop of Broken Worlds really got me and so I had to jump into that.
Thinking of what to do with it I really didn’t feel like much should be done to it. I’ve had problems before with trying to do too much to a song and ending up messing it up.

Day Six - My favorite word, RETURN!
Day Six – My favorite word, RETURN!
For various reasons I took a break from this project which became longer than I had initially intended, I’m still struggling for time but I have to get back to this some time and so I stole a few hours today to get back to the project.
For today’s piece I decided to try the constant rising trick I talked about a few posts back and as an extra part I decided to start with two Fabfilter synths,…

Day Five - Sleepy Sunday
Day Five – Sleepy Sunday
Today I was super tired and to be honest I left doing today’s work too late. So I decided to do a slightly short day and make some sleepy chill music.
I opened Strummed Acoustic, which is a NI Acoustic Guitar Sampled Instrument and started playing around with some effects to make it as atmospheric and as little like a guitar as possible.
I used one layer which completely reshapes the…

Day Four - Murkish Piano
Day Four – Murkish Piano

So, clearly over the last few days I’ve been addicted to Guitar Rig and so I decided to use, wait for it, an actual guitar with it! Who would have thought?
I’m not a supreme guitarist and I’m not super interested in writing some actual guitar so I went for once again a more atmospheric sound. I used a preset called ‘Plastilsocke’ if you want to try it yourself and I player a triplet arpeggio…

Day Three – Addicted to Guitar Rig & First 'Weekly' Project Update
Today is the first Saturday of my 30 day project and since the last day will be on a Saturday (29th) this will be my first weekly update, even tho eagle eyed readers will realise that this is only the third day…
Here I will be doing my normal rundown of today’s work and my weekly overview will be an update on my 30 Day Project page itself which you can find by clicking the image below.

Day Two - Chaotech Strings
Day Two – Chaotech Strings
Normally I would start by opening yesterdays project and see if I have any inspiration, but I left working on this stuff a bit late today as I’d got really into my Tarkov today (had a great little day!) and so I wanted to go easy and start something from fresh and due to the situation I decided I’d try to start something which could perhaps portray the tension of playing Tarkov.
A disconnect…

30 Day Project - Day One
30 Day Project – Day One
For the first few days I’m likely going to jump right in and spend a lot of time making ideas, short loops or sections of songs that I can come back to later to decide what to work on.
For my first concept was to choose songs that remind me of Day9 and pick an element of that for influence, that doesn’t mean I’m trying to recreate that sound, I’d rather not, but it gives me an idea space to…
