He was drunk. That much was obvious with the way he was stumbling into the room, leaning against the wall and peering down at the girl, his head tilted… almost curiously. “What’re you up to?” Moving towards the couch, Desmond let out a short huff as he gripped onto the back of a chair, letting out a quiet laugh. It was a rarity for him to get this sloppy, something that was likely needed to question, but Desmond didn’t feel like talking about it right then. “I like what… I like your hair right now. Looks… nice.”
she was momentarily taken aback, noting his intoxicated demeanor with the quirk of a brow. unsure of whether she should be more amused or concerned with his inebriation, heather opted for the latter. after all, a drunken desmond was an incredibly rare sight.
“just bringing by some mail,” she held up a stack of envelopes clutched within a tattooed hand. “apparently the mailman still hasn’t gotten the memo that our places aren’t interchangeable.” she watched him for a moment, holding back a laugh as the man steadied himself with the help of a chair. she instinctively reached up at the mention of her hair, dragging slender fingers through the ends.
“thanks,” she scoffed, giving a shake of her head. “not like it’s in serious need of a trim or anything.”
placing the mail on the coffee table, heather perched herself on the edge of the couch, elbows resting on the tops of her thighs. “so what’s the occasion?” she asked, head cocking to the side. “you celebrating something, or is this your way of trying to forget?”
#scltysweets#( ch: heather vincent )#i hope this is okay!! tbh i was thinking like neighbors or something? honestly i'm cool with anything

@flotusmuses liked for a starter!! based off of a plot in this post.
a laugh bubbled from inside hazel’s chest, a hand flying to cover her mouth as soon as the sound escaped her. she stared at the girl from her position on the bed, bewilderment reflecting in tanned features.
“you’re serious?” the brunette asked, rolling from her back onto her stomach. “like, actually for real?” the duo had settled for a round of truth or dare; a common cure for sleepover boredom. usually the game proved to be more or less pretty uneventful. hazel would take a few wild dares, the girls would open up about their newest infatuations or dirty little secrets, and eventually all interest would be lost.
it wasn’t often hazel found herself actually shocked by one of her best friend’s answers.
she reached for her drink and took a sip, peering at the other woman from over the rim. “you’ve really never kissed anyone before?” whiskey colored hues twinkled with amusement, but her tone was laced with disbelief. “how have you not done it yet?!” she asked, setting her glass down on the dresser, only to gesture with her hands.
“and more importantly, why am i just now finding out about it?”
#flotusmuses#( ch: hazel mercer )#( closed )#this is late i'm so sorry djdjsklf#i'm actually the worst rip#i hope this is okay!! if you want a different muse or something let me know!

“born to die” plots
off to the races: MUSE A is a young, carefree wild-child type, with a rough past, now living on the shady side of town, trying to make do with very little money, all the while dealing with the demons of their past. MUSE B is older than MUSE A, with some demons of their own, and has more money than they need, made from not-so-legal means. after the two cross paths, MUSE B is quite taken with MUSE A, and the two enter a relationship, MUSE A travelling with MUSE B, helping in their criminal exploits and living a life of luxury as a result. MUSE A, unused to having cash to burn, runs wild, and is more unhinged than ever, but MUSE B genuinely adores them – and MUSE A adores them in turn. both running from their pasts and from the law, they know their bonnie and clyde relationship is doomed, but they’re far too in love to care.
national anthem: MUSE A and MUSE B live in the same city, which is firmly divided into the “haves” and the “have-nots.” MUSE A has money – lots of it. MUSE B has next to nothing. despite their differing backgrounds, MUSE A and MUSE B enter a relationship, despite people on both sides not approving of the match. but the relationship isn’t exactly all sunshine and rainbows. MUSE A is often irritated by MUSE B’s lack of experience in the world of wealth, and MUSE B, though genuinely enamored with MUSE A, is mostly in it for the money. the two fight and argue almost constantly, but neither wants to break up – MUSE A, because they’re too charmed by MUSE B to fully cut them loose, and MUSE B, because they don’t want to go back to a life of poverty.
dark paradise: MUSE A and MUSE B were in a happy relationship, but their bliss was abruptly ended by MUSE A’s premature death. now MUSE B, completely broken by the loss, tries and fails to move on, no matter what their concerned friends and family do. they constantly have dreams and nightmares about MUSE A, and frequently visit their grave and the site of their death. and now, MUSE B has begun to see MUSE A lurking around their old house. is MUSE A visiting them from beyond the grave, or is MUSE B finally going completely crazy?
this is what makes us girls: MUSE A has always been the clean-cut good girl, the sort who volunteers of her own volition, is every teacher’s favorite, and never, ever gets into trouble. MUSE B is the exact opposite – she terrorizes everyone in the grade, drinks hard and parties harder, and is well known for her many, many rich boyfriends. when MUSE B takes a strange liking to MUSE A and pulls her into her group of friends, MUSE A is confused, intrigued, terrified, overjoyed and sickened all at once. slowly, MUSE A’s life goes from study sessions and after-school activities to club-hopping and troublemaking with her new group of friends. she’s not quite sure if she likes it, but at the same time, she’s not exactly eager to go back to being a good little nobody. MUSE B is a magnetic force to MUSE A, getting her into worse and worse trouble, slowly shaping MUSE A into her own image. the two become close friends, and things slowly begin to go downhill. it’s normal for teenage girls to get into trouble – but how far is too far?
gods and monsters: MUSE A has always wanted to be famous. a famous actor, a famous singer, a famous whatever. just famous. they idolize MUSE B, a very successful artist in their field. MUSE B has been disillusioned with the life of the famous elite for years by the time MUSE A comes onto the scene as a newcomer. still, MUSE B takes MUSE A under their wing, trying to get them through the dog-eat-dog world of the famous. MUSE A is determined to not let fame change them, but they may not have a choice.
summertime sadness: MUSE A and MUSE B met by chance towards the end of spring, and by the time summer began, they were passionately in love – or maybe just in lust. after spending a whirlwind summer together, living on the road and sleeping in motels, MUSE B just up and leaves MUSE A, leaving MUSE A heartbroken. they wonder, what went wrong – and will they ever be able to find MUSE B and get them back?
blue jeans: MUSE A is the partner of MUSE B, a dark and mysterious drug runner. the two live on the road, travelling mainly for MUSE B’s job, and the relationship is a tempestuous one. MUSE B isn’t always the most attentive or thoughtful partner, and MUSE A often feels like they love their work more than them. MUSE B attempts to make MUSE A happy by spoiling them with expensive cars, clothes, jewelry and other luxuries, but MUSE A still feels lonely and empty inside. still, MUSE A loves MUSE B far too much to even consider leaving. one day, however, MUSE B leaves for a job, promising MUSE A that they’ll be back the next night. they’re not. now what?
million dollar man:MUSE A is a wealthy criminal, and an incredibly ruthless one at that. their partner, MUSE B has absolutely no illusions about MUSE A being a good person, but loves them anyway. in fact, MUSE B seems to be the one trying to make the relationship work. despite MUSE A’s unstable personality and shady dealings, MUSE B would (and probably will) follow them to the ends of the earth. it seems that the relationship is more hurt than happiness for MUSE B, but they continue to stay, loyal to MUSE A ‘til the end of time. MUSE A, meanwhile has problems of their own. they finally have the whole world on a string, and yet they’re still not happy. on top of all that, they’re well aware that they’re not the best partner to MUSE B, who they do genuinely care for. they want things to work out, but they have no idea how to make that happen.
lucky ones: MUSE A was in a very bad place when they met MUSE B, but MUSE B helped them get back on their feet, emotionally and financially supporting them until they were stable again. MUSE A is incredibly grateful, and loves MUSE B dearly. but despite their happiness in their relationship, MUSE B’s friends don’t approve, feeling that MUSE A isn’t good enough for MUSE B, some even accusing them of being a gold digger. so, one night, MUSE A proposes a solution to MUSE B to escape all the gossip and mocking for good: just leave. just get in their car and go. so that’s just what they do – the two hit the road, and try to embark on a new life together, without the support of MUSE B’s loved ones back home.
born to die: MUSE A was never very adventurous, but that was before MUSE B. MUSE B is a bit unstable, and not in the cutesy manic pixie dream girl way, but genuinely unpredictable and a bit dangerous. MUSE B is intent on coaxing MUSE A out of their shell, and while MUSE A does love them, they can’t help but wonder if they’ve bit off more than they can chew here. it often seems like they’re taking care of MUSE B, who constantly throws themselves into dangerous situations, while MUSE B feels that they’re the only one doing any work in the relationship. the two fight constantly, and the relationship isn’t always a happy one. it’s mutually assured destruction, but MUSE A has to admit that they do love the trill of MUSE B, and MUSE B is determined to get MUSE A to live a little. besides, without each other, they have no one, and neither of them are strong enough to be alone.
