GUESS WHO’S BACK ( BACK AGAIN ) .

As  her  years  of  service  grew  in  number,  so  did  the  Lady  of  The  Maw’s  melancholia,  a  rot  of  the  soul  that  slowly,  steadily,  overtook  her.  There  were  days  where  sleep  became  her  main  export,  refusing  to  open  her  eyes  even  when  all  present  knew  her  to  be  awake;  but  today  was  not  such  a  day.  For  now,  she  rested  within  her  reading  nook,  idly  flipping  through  her  novella  as  if  she  could  not  decide  whether  to  start  over  or  skip  to  her  favourite  scene.

 Ultimately,  she  chose  neither,  and  instead  summoned  @prisontoybox​    (  little  eye,  little  misshapen  thing,  little  comfort  )    to  her  side.  If  a  distraction  would  not  take  hold,  then  a  conversation  would  do.

What  is  a  vase  without  its  flower?  Settling  into  her  boudoir  with  a  slow,  ritual  comfort,  kanzashi  removed  like  nails,  the  filth  of  chaos  forgotten  with  fresh  kimono,  walls  almost  sighing  with  relief  at  her  return  ( for  the  Maw  and  the  Lady  are  two  hearts  beating  as  one )    —  —  —    she  speaks  into  darkness,  knowing  @musesofthemoon​  stood  pious  in  the  folds  of  darkness.  Perhaps  [...]  not  know.  Perhaps  expected.  Perhaps  because  good  ( goodness  is  in  the  eye  of  the  benefactor )  children  were  the  hardest  to  change.
