It's My Birthday

It's my BIRTHDAY. In the off chance you wanted to buy me presents, here's an Amazon Wishlist of Digital Comics. It won't hurt my feelings if you don't buy me any.

Funny story. Back in May I clicked buy on 3 Fethry comics from a seller in Spain on the site Todocoleccion. But the seller wouldn’t send me a PayPal link saying they couldn’t ship to the US yet. Other sellers did.

These Brazilian comics are difficult to find because Brazil is difficult. These 3 comics were the only ones on eBay/Todo at that moment.

I ask “how about now?” every 3-6 weeks or so and finally at the end of September they send the link.

The package arrives end of Oct./beginning of Nov. and it has 3 entirely different Peninha comics than I ordered. And oddly one of those three is one I already owned. There was also 3(?) other Brazilian Disney comics in the package.

I wasn’t overly happy but I did get 2 comics worth wanting and the whole exhausting ordeal was over.

Except it wasn’t. 6-7 months after I placed my order, the comics I actually ordered finally arrived yesterday. (YAY!)

The customs document said Puerto Rico, which was confusing because I didn’t remember ordering anything from Puerto Rico. 2 incoming packages from Mexico and one from Argentina. Also Puerto Rico is part of the US so no customs paperwork. But apparently Puerto Rico is also the name of a place in Spain. Who knew?

A colorist on FB compared a scan of Jim Steranko's splash page from Captain America #113 (May 1965) to the 2014 digital recolored version. I felt I could bring out the spooky graveyard feel better, so here is my recolor of the 2014 recolor.
