It’s been two years...

It’s been two years since we lost our beloved Cory Monteith.  In some ways it feels longer but in other ways, it feels like I saw him just weeks ago.

I’m so touched and overwhelmed by the continuous outpouring of love for Cory.   And so thankful because I can promise you it is well-deserved.  I have spent my career working with “talent” (actors, musicians, writers, producers, etc) and I’ve been lucky enough to have gotten to know, in varying degrees, some of the most amazing people you could hope to meet.  Cory was one of those people and he is at the top of the list.

Over the course of 5 years, I spent countless hours on set (and some off) with Cory and I can honestly say that he was always, without fail, kind, respectful, warm and engaging.  It wasn’t an act he put on for the fans.  That is who he was.  He looked out for people and made everyone feel welcome and important.  He just had this big heart and you could feel it when you were with him.  And he was so incredibly funny.  Very few people have ever made me laugh like Cory did.  He just got it.  

Cory loved Finn and the show and he understood that it meant something to so many fans and that it was no small thing to have that level of love and support. 

I could write page after page recounting all of my memories of Cory but this was just a brief way for me to say to anyone reading this that if you admired Cory and feel a loss from his passing, just know that there are so many people who feel your pain and also your love and that, in the end, we should all feel so grateful to have known him, in any way that we did.

I love you and miss you, Cory.

I swear I just witnessed the apocalypse, it sure as hell must be the end times. Cause there are honest to god Samchel shippers in the Finchel tag trying to recruit pissed off Finn/Finchel shippers to protest against a St. Berry endgame.

These Samchel shippers must have pretty short and/or selective memories cause the Samchel BS is one of the main reasons Finn/Finchel fans are pissed off along with a lot of other things.

Now excuse me while I go & decontaminate myself with like four extremely hot showers. Cause I feel extremely dirty after using the word Samchel so much, plus I vomited in my mouth a little bit too.

All these Glee Goodbye things are making me so sad because everyone’s reuniting but there’s a 6’3” space which can’t be filled.

I know I should be happy that they FINALLY used Finn’s name during and episode rather than “he” or “that guy”. But what get’s me angry is that RIB are using Finn/Cory like he’s some type of magical trump card & anytime they mention him it’s not to honour him it’s to emotional blackmail a charcter...

These cast photos of Glee through the different seasons explain perfectly RIB’s thoughts on Finn. Does anyone else notice season 1 Finn front & centre, then each season cast photo later he’s slowly PUSHED further & further back until he’s not there.

In the cast photo from the finale there are a heap of faces Lea, Dianna, Jenna, John, Matt yet it may take us a minute to see what faces/people are there, but it only takes a heartbeat to know who isn’t there, the Canadian quarterback Cory.

I found this quote & it just gave me massive Finn/Cory feels. Cory & Finn wasn’t the one to be center stage like a Lea Michele or Darren Criss nor was he the one to be the loudest in the media yet I truly believe he was Glee’s timekeeper.

After he’s passing Glee lost the sparkle that used to overshadow it’s ridiculousness. So even though the songs may have continued on, it did so without its heartbeat that was kept in time by a 6 foot 3 Canadian.
