Steven Universe is interesting to me because it’s got the most extreme dichotomy between ideas that would be better fleshed out in a show for adults, and ideas that are interesting specifically because they’re native to an unironic children’s show.

steven is a really funny character actually. he never went to school. one of his powers is astral projection for no real reason. hes a musical prodigy. he was so traumatized by the end of the show they had to make an entire epilogue series about it. he spent seven years looking like a 3rd grader. he was even bisexual

Animation I’ve been working on-and-off for the past year-and-a-half. A segment of Pearl’s song from the Steven Universe episode “Mr. Greg”, reanimated in the style of the pilot.

Woulda been great to have this done for when Steven Universe Future ended but what can ya do.

•The pink pearl is named Rouge and the blue pearl is named Azure. Their fusion is Mega Lilac Pearl.

•These two fled Homeworld because they were found fusing and revealed that they were in love. They fused to fend off the Homeworld soldiers before hijacking a roaming eye to flee to an unknown planet.

•Azure got a small fear of fusion afterwards, fearing that their fusion wasn't a positive thing in their lives because of how they had to fight to get away from Homeworld.

•These two are a part of my runaway story
