Will Valentine's ghost come to Luke's funeral (when that terrible day arrives)?
He might show up to mock him, like: "You won't be buried according to all the traditions of a Shadowhunter, or even cremated like me, because you're a monster" and Luke will respond: "After my funeral, at least there won't be a party."
or vice versa:
Luke heroically dies trying to save the world from the apocalypse, and Val's ghost appears at his funeral only to admit his guilt and wrongdoing towards Luke, that in fact Greymark has always been better and purer than himself, even being a werewolf. He guiltily bows his head in front of Luke, who good-naturedly, as he knows how, pats the former parabatai on the shoulder and says: "If I were a monster, as you thought, I would hate you, but I couldn't. Just like you couldn't love me. I forgave you a long time ago."

"Non serviam," said Valentine. " 'I will not serve.' It's what Lucifer had inscribed upon his banner when he rode with his host of rebel angels against a corrupt authority." "What's your point? That you're on the devil's side?"
I expected Valentine to say: "I am the devil, son."
Although, even the devil would be shocked by all his crimes and sins.

I've already written this thought on a blog once, but I repeat here: val's bed was covered with white curtains, and I think Seb did it as a kind of mourning for his father. Why not? Valentine was with him all his life, he created him, he saw him and to some extent understood him. He died, and Seb went completely wild from loneliness.
Tumblr media
Well, Sebastian definitely thought about him a lot. but is it possible to miss a tyrant, to take care of him, and is Sebastian even capable of experiencing such feelings

Clary draws a rune in the Angelic Hall, which shows the true love of each character. Amatis sees Stephen… Oh, Amatis😭💔 Luke sees Jocelyn. I wonder who Consul Malachi saw, whose facial expression was described as tense or something like that. I'm not me if I don't think about who Valentine might see if he were in the audience. Would that be Jocelyn? Unlikely. He would probably have seen the only person he had ever loved. Himself. He would see himself and fall in love even more.

This is a topic that I will never get tired of thinking about. When it comes to Valentine, I can't be sure of anything, judging by how manipulative he was, and how honest all his declarations of love for Jocelyn and his friends are, considering that in the end he betrayed them all. Stories about the circle often mention how Valentine himself changes when he simply remembers Jocelyn, how his facial features lighten and he becomes like the person Jocelyn tried hard to keep in him. But what if he realized it and was just pretending? She says that it was only with her that he shared his doubts, he told her that without her he would not have achieved anything and would be nobody. That only she could pacify him, calm him down. He was cunning and was not a fool. He could deliberately show himself to be supposedly vulnerable, give in to her somewhere, listen to her, like that moment with Hodge in "The Evil We Love," where he quickly calms down just from her touch. That's how he got her love. And was it love at all? Jocelyn suggests that he only became friends with Lucian in order to get to her, that when he looked at her, his gaze was not in love, but planning. He said he dreamed of their children becoming a strong army against the conclave and everything else. I guess I'm more inclined to believe that he chose Jocelyn because of her background as an incubator. Jocelyn thought she loved him, but in fact she was flattered by the fact that she supposedly had power over him, she took on the role of a "savior", but it was up to her to save herself. I don't understand Valentine's personality, and that's the only reason I'm so incredibly interested in him. Whether he was a psychopath who fanatically aspired to power, or out of great love for his family and the world, he simply went crazy in an attempt to save him from evil, but in the end unknowingly became this evil himself

“Tell me I got that from you. Tell me any of that is from you. ” Jocelyn’s head was ringing. “There are two thrones,” she said. A small crease appeared between his brows. “What?” “Two thrones,” she said. “And I’m not a fool; I know who you intend to have sit beside you. You need her there; you want her there. Your triumph means nothing if she isn’t there to watch it. And that—that need for someone to love you—that does come from me. ” He stared at her. He was biting his lip so hard, she was sure he would draw blood. “Weakness,” he said, half to himself. “It’s a weakness. ” “It’s human,” she said.
But really, it's just an obsession that he picked up from Valentine. He doesn't have anything from Jocelyn. Just like his father, who chained Jocelyn to the bed. Like her father, who created a magical apartment especially for her, unable to leave the house properly if you didn't know how to do it, he planned to make her his prisoner, to make her love him because he was obsessed with her. Like Sebastian, who planned to chain Clary to himself by locking her in Edom. Obsession - is a family trait of the Morgensterns. It's not love, Jocelyn. This is not a need for love. This is selfishness.

If ghosts can watch the living and even come to them, I wonder if Val is watching Jocelyn and Luke. After all, he wanted to know what Lucian did when he was alive.

Only I can love a monster
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oskar is Valentine's father. I do not know what he was like, but here is what Cassie wrote about him, and if anyone is interested, I will leave a link to her full answer. And, probably, if he had been a good parent, Valentine would not have been such a psychotic psycho. Perhaps Oskar meant well by raising him to be a warrior, but he overdid it a little.

A small story "good Valentine - evil Valentine".
Exploding Kittens (TV series)
When Robert says in "The evil we love" that Valentine is surprisingly kind, I can't even imagine him like this - that this kindness was sincere. Valentine knows how to pretend, he tricked them all :) It is even possible that in childhood he was taken to the "star" theater club.

Valentine was her protector and was the main danger to her. When I read "We wicked ones" I screamed: "Run, Celine, run away from him." But I want to see them together in another world where he's not so crazy. I could never imagine him and Jocelyn together-I didn't see any love in them at all. Valentine was obsessed with her, and Jocelyn liked the image of him she had created in her head. For me, Jocelyn is always with Luke. But Valentine and Celine, I like their overall atmosphere. I want to see how he protects her from her parents. Having experienced violence in childhood, they are trying to create a normal family and raise their children properly, trying to protect them from the influence of their parents, who were outraged that they were not allowed to communicate with their grandchildren. For Valentine, Celine is reliable, supportive and loving; for Celine, Valentine is a stone wall behind which she feels safe, he always cares for her and understands her without words. They understand each other without words.
Oh, the more I think about it, the worse it gets, because it's all just in my head☠️💔
I don't understand where such thoughts came from in my head. But after "We wicked ones" I kind of started ship Celine and Valentine 👀🤯 Either because of their similar upbringing and shitty parents, or because of the distorted understanding of love they share, or is it because it was Valentine who relieved Celine of the source of her pain-by killing her idiotic parents, knowing that they were assholes towards her, or because he was feeding her pancakes🫠. Unlike Jocelyn, over which he bullied by giving her demonic blood, he gave Celine angelic blood, thus, making her feel better, and it was her son he loved more than his own. Okay, he only loved her son. Reading "We wicked ones", I just thought, "Oh, in some other alternate universe they should be together, they will escape from abusive parents together, they will understand each other and heal their souls, and they will have beautiful blond children. They would have looked better together. they would understand each other."
But it's really so crazy. Nobody deserves Valentine. No woman deserves to suffer like this.

Yes, that's exactly what I meant. If they were together, it would be the same wrong, distorted love on both sides. If in a relationship with Jocelyn, she was the voice of reason, then not with Celine… Valentine would not have such brakes, because Celine herself believes that a good wife is an obedient wife who will always support her husband. But they have so many parallels that haunt me. All I want is fan fiction with them. There's not a single fanfiction with them, it's probably a weird ship 😅 Someday I'll write.
But when it comes to Celine, I'm starting to think that a lot of people were wrong when they called her weak. If she had been weak, Valentine would not have killed her. Why risk the experiment by killing the mother ahead of time? It's a huge risk. I think the reason she was killed was because she resisted, and this scar on Hodge's body is the same scar that Celine left. I want it to be that way. It was the "weak" Celine who broke into Valentine's apartment without asking, becoming a witness to his crimes, although he knew that she was hiding in his apartment, and it seems this is not the first time this has happened. Did he know that she was watching him and Jocelyn from hiding when they were kissing 😏(back at the Academy)? Celine is the perfect spy.

Jocelyn had a magic potion, and instead of mix a potion in Valentine's drink, she kept it for herself… Everything could be solved so easily by putting him to sleep. the members of the circle would never have figured out how to "wake him up" (even he himself did not know what had happened to Jocelyn). And I'm not sure they would have started saving him. Most of them were just afraid of him. Valentine has fallen into eternal sleep, and there is no rebellion, no problems. Everyone is happy. But that would be a completely different story.

This is such an accurate description of each character! I feel sorry for them, their lives would be better if they had a psychologist (and a broken person can go straight to a psychiatrist)💔
He’s imperfect but he tries -> Robert
They are good but they lie -> Maryse and Stephen
She is hard on herself -> Jocelyn
He is broken but won’t ask for help -> Valentine
He is messy, but he’s kind -> Luke
They are lonely most of the time -> Celine and Hodge
She is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie -> Amatis
He is gone but he used to be mine -> Micheal

Jocelyn said he felt it when Luke became a werewolf. "That sense of wrongness". And yes, I want this feeling of wrongness to be very painful for him, because he has to answer for at least one of his crimes!
Everything that has to do with runes hurts so i hope valentine's parabatai rune breaking when luke turned fucking hurt. I hope he collapsed from the pain, i hope he was screaming and writhing in the bed, i hope he was babbling apologies. I hope he was sobbing

I have a slightly different opinion about the second pair of parabatai and about Valentine himself. He can be caring and gentle with those who are close to him. Look at how he behaves with Jocelyn, especially in his youth, with what care and tenderness he touches her; makes concessions to Lucian; even with Jonathan - how he strokes his cheek. Oh, how incredible he would be if it weren't for his fanaticism and hatred! In fact, it's hard to imagine has and Lucian having anything sexual. They are two ardent heterosexuals in love with the same woman. It is unlikely that they even kissed or hugged, according to the canon they only lightly patted each other on the shoulder. But it's intriguing to think of them as ex-lovers. This adds even more bitterness to their story!
I need more memes for these two Parabatai couples stealing the show.
I have the Headcanon that Robert and Michael are the quiet ones with the "no homo" but you are my friend and for you I will make an exception.
On the other hand Valentine and Luke are the ones who have rough sex once in a while but won't acknowledge that their relationship is something more
