The Tranquility Project started out as a creative challenge in pursuit of trying something new. A new, inverted style, a singular medium and set parameters as far as possible techniques. A great way to think outside the box, while limited to the particularities of white on black. The works are done in black paper Sakura sketchbooks using white Sakura gel pens, then scanned and rendered digitally.This is my first multi-edition art release. The collection will consist of 100 pieces total, starting from 100, counting down to 1. Each piece will likewise be released in incrementally smaller edition amounts. In the end it doesn't particularly mean anything, it's useless but powerful. Definitely a great way to force myself to fill in the gaps.

This is my first Tumblr post, ever.

I'm trying to find new ways of getting my artwork into the hands and minds of people in the ether.

I'd like to introduce myself for a second: My name is Jonas. I'm a Dutch artist and am veering into the digital art world with my work. I wouldn't really define my work or style as singular, I create what I have in mind with whatever medium I can find. The only medium I don't really like is generated art...

I do, however, digitize most of my work and hope to inspire people to pursue art more effectively over the internet. I believe Web 3.0 may be a big part of that over time, which is why I am vested more and more in blockchain technology. But I also really like physical works, so I'm trying to find a way to couple them both in accessible ways.

This particular drawing is the 1st item of "The Tranquility Project", a hand drawn project that forces me to draw without mistakes. Simple lines, white on black. 100 drawings total will be made. This is also my first multi-edition NFT drop. So far, 30 items have been dropped on #Opensea : no
