My Thoughts On The New Kokomi Story Quest

if it isn't clear enough, spoilers ahead.

This is just my own personal opinions. I would still like to hear about your thoughts so feel free to leave them in the replies.

So this story quest was better compared to the raiden shogun quest. We had a good character development and it was nice to see Kokomi actually doing something rather then others just saying she is a good military tactician.

I also like how they highlighted her mental struggles with juggling so much from making her people happy to defending her island to negotiations and peace talks.

However, I just felt like some parts of the quest were supposed to be included in the actual archon quest.

It seems out of place for the whole fatui and tenryou commission arc to be shoved in a character quest.

personally, I feel like mihoyo wanted to include that in the actual archon story line but felt it was getting too long so they rewrote the script and put this arc in the Kokomi quest.

I also felt like this character development of Kokomi should have been done in the actual quest so we get to know her better and then should have highlighted her burn out and mental struggles in her story quest.

I also wanted the traveller to show her that taking the whole burden isn't good for her and to teach her to delegate her duties to her subordinate.

to summarise, here is how I think her character quest should have been

in the archon quest, her strength and capabilities as a leader and military tactician should have been shown.

In the story quest we should see her trying to plan the victory feast along with solving disputes, handling civil affairs, handling the aftermath and the disagreement of her people with the peace talk etc etc

she is tired and confides in traveller who suggests and teaches her that she doesn't have to take load all by herself and should assign different people for different work.

if this was done, I think I would have enjoyed and be satisfied with the overall inazuman quests

also, I WANTED A GODDAMN TEPPEI MENTION. LIKE HELLOOO???? OUR UNIFORMS???? TEPPEI???? GRAVE???? WHERE.

Genshin 2.1 spoilers

While doing the archon quest, just before we go into the delusion factory, I imagined a scenario I can't get out of my head

While fighting in the factory, just as we're about to get hit, Teppei shows up to block the blow. He's barely standing, but he grips his weapon firmly. Paimon asks why he's here despite his condition, and he answers that he had to come. He realizes now that he should never have fallen for the Fatui's sweet lies. It was obvious such power had a price. He was blinded by his ambition, his dream to fight with the resistance, his weakness and his helplessness. But no matter how much he wanted to be useful, he shouldn't have taken such a shortcut. Now, he has to make things right. He will fight with his own strength, no matter how little he has left!

Teppei jumps at the enemy and manages to echange a few blows before getting thrown at a wall and passing out. Traveller collect themselves and get back up. They fight and eventually win against the fatui. They run to see Teppei and realize with surprise that while his hair is still white, he looks young again. He slowly opens his eyes and raises his hand with an incredule expression.

In his palm shines a vision.
