silent hallcreeper is one of my absolute favourite cards from duskmourn and honestly from all of magic because of how well it tells a story. it's a creepypasta story, right:

it follows you, and you cant shake it (unblockable)

it's weak, but the more it follows you, the stronger it gets (the counters)

the more it follows you, the more it knows about you. it's not just following you, it's stalking, studying (draw a card)

and finally... when it's stronger than you, when it knows everything there is to know about you, it becomes you (becoming a copy)

it's simple but it's so elegantly told and more impactful than any flavor text could be because it's a story told entirely through the card's actual mechanics this is the kind of shit that activastes my autism so much

kinda dislike when people say father is mothering cuz arlecchino is not mothering... she is fathering. shes a firm, masculine presence that encourages your growth without being too sentimental (which is a stereotypical but hey fathering and mothering are based on stereotypes). is father mothering or is father jsut a woman you know?

Divine Ingenuity . 2024 . I couldn't pinpoint what it was about the name I chose for this piece until I couldn't take it any longer and googled it only to realize it's the name of that one event where u create ur own domains lol. Tbh I think such event also suits CR so I'll see it as my subconscious being aware of it.

. I've loved Cloud Retainer ever since we met her for that first time on Liyue's Archon quest, to finally have her as a playable character and her being such a compelling mother figure just makes my heart melt. I loved every second of this patch's quests that included her ♥
