The idea behind the whole ‘lets-make-brian-into-an-oc’ was just: ‘what if someone with comedic timing rocks up at the last minute and stops the universe getting reset’ so the power came from that. I picked the shear thickening + bounce back damage because it’s an unassuming power until you’re going a million km an hour and immediately die upon hitting it lol.

His crime was gonna be something on the more minor end—this being his second time at green dolphin.

And F.E.X’s design is kinda the same process as Brian, nothing big inspired it I just tried different patterns til something looked good. (How I design most of my characters honestly.) The feet on it came from a pair of monster high shoes, I remember that.

I don’t mind more questions I just tend to like to keeping my posts pretty short, if you want to ask more in the replies or something feel free ♡ I don’t have much extensive lore for him though, i’ve probably covered 90% of it already.

An opportunity to infodump about Brian??? I am eternally grateful.

I was thinking his stand was either one he was born with or at least he got it prior to the whole prison thing.

Design for the outfit didn’t come from anything really, i just love silly clothes and have lots of ideas always floating around. (Actually, the extra pockets were the remnants of an old stand power, that’s about it though.)

The stand’s look comes from a scrapped design I repurposed—it used to look more like a reaper.

Brian’s last name comes from Tony Viramontes. (I was surprised no canon characters referenced his name actually despite how often his works influenced Araki’s.)

F.E.X comes from the band behind the ‘most mysterious song on the internet’, partially because I like the song and partially the symbolism of something that’s been around for so long yet I only recently discovered. It went through a few names before i settled on that one.

It can mimic any surface and fabric can be woven out of its hair, and made into an outfit the fabric will stay static in its imitation— (yes the clothes are visible to non-stand users).
