Chapter 10.2 - The Final Act (Good Ending)

The remaining survivors Raiden, Smoke, Mileena, Nitara and Ermac had left Outworld to hopefully be able to face off against Ghostface in earthrealm. Mileena mourned the lost of her sister, her lover and dear friend…Kitana..Tanya…and Rain had lost their lives in the most recent battle with Ghostface. Smoke however was mourning everyone he lost…including Bi-Han because even though Bi-Han was very bad..he still thought of him as a brother.

They arrived at the hour glass, the air felt heavy and dull at the same time. Ermac stepped forward as their face shifted to appear as Sindel. Mileena looked at them and spoke “Mother…I…I don’t know what to do…” Mileena frowned. Sindel speaks “it’s ok daughter…but right now we must focus on the plan and stop this bastard” Sindel looks at Nitara “I know I have been very hateful to your people, but right now I need your help”. Nitara looks at her and says “I will do anything, as long as Vaeterneus is safe in the end”.

“I need you to fly up in the air once your wings have healed and keep guard, once you see something don’t attack by yourself, let us know quickly and stay in the air to remain as backup” Sindel tells Nitara. Nitara agrees as Sindel looks at Smoke “this goes for everyone but we all fight at the same time, not one by one since Ghostface is over powered” the others agreed. “Back to each other so Ghostface doesn’t get the drop on us” Sindel says before looking at Raiden and Mileena “once Ghostface is down, don’t hold back…kill them..”

The plan was made, Nitara is to stay in the air and keep guard and once she spots Ghostface she will warn the others. Sindel returns back as Ermac. Nitara flies off in the air once her wing was healed enough, Smoke, Mileena, Ermac and Raiden stood in a circle. Backs to each other now it was a waiting game. Raiden asks “So Smoke..where is Hanzo?” Smoke replies “he’s safe in Outworld…Kitana helped make sure of that.”

Time goes on by, the sun soon setting and the moon rising. Ermac was keeping guard as the others got enough rest. Suddenly Nitara lands back down on ground, the others all looking at her. Nitara says in a loud whisper “I saw Ghostface walking to the main entrance!”. Mileena nodded and she signalled for Nitara to return back in the air.

The four quickly hide just as Ghostface arrives. Ghostface walks over to the hourglass, taking off the mask she takes off her mask. Looking into the hour glass she begins to watch a memory..her and Johnny’s wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding…her and Johnny looking lovingly at each other..oh how she wished things went different. But that got her thinking…was what Raiden said true..? Did Johnny try and tell the truth?? She began looking through the hourglass for the answer.

Mileena looked at the others before giving the signal to attack. The four all charge out as Ghostface saw in the reflection Ermac right behind her. She slides out the way, grabbing ermac’s head and smashing it into the hour glass. Just then smoke grabbed her tightly as Raiden and Mileena hold her down.

Ermac got back up and began the try and suck Cris’s soul out, screaming in pain Cris manages to slip her left hand free. Snapping her fingers Ermac started shaking violently. Mileena looked over just in time to see Ermac explode into pieces, the souls all being freed into the air. “NO!” She cries out. Cris punches Smoke in the face as she scratches Raiden’s face. Kicking mileena away Cris runs away to hide, her mask being left on the ground.

Smoke signalled for Nitara to stay back as he saw her getting closer to help. Just before Nitara was able to even leave, Cris appears out from behind a wall on the ground with a gun. Cris aims at smoke before she gets tackled by Nitara. Nitara tries biting Cris but Cris shoots Nitara a few times in the abdomen. Cris pushes Nitara off to die in her own blood…or so she thinks.

Smoke calls out to Cris “STOP! JOHNNY NEVER WANTED YOU TO GET HURT!” He said with his hands up. Showing he’s not a threat. Cris aims the handgun at Smoke “If he did! SOMETHING WOULD’VE STOPPED THOSE ASSHOLES MAKING ME THE BAD GUY!”

Smoke carefully takes a step forward, looking to Mileena to stand down. “It’s True!” Raiden says as he raises his arms up, showing he’s unarmed. “You can always check the hourglass!” Raiden pointed to the glass “there the truth will be shown!”

Cris looks between the two “LIES! You just want my back towards you so you can take me down! I’m finishing this!” Cris goes to pull the trigger but out from the darkness, Nitara slashes at Cris’s arm. Disarming her as the gun falls to the ground, Smoke, Mileena and Nitara tackling Cris to the ground. Cris wriggles and tries to break free but isn’t able to.

Raiden picks up the gun and walked over to the hourglass. From a year prior Liu Kang showed Raiden the basics of working the hourglass but since he’s not a god it would be hard. Cris screams and growls in the background as Raiden focuses his energy before he started to create some electrical energy in the hourglass.

Cris’s godhood starts to fade from her as it shifts over to Raiden, with Cris now mortal again and Raiden a temporary god he uses his newfound abilities to show the truth. In the hourglass it shows Johnny Cage and his friends at Madam Bo’s just a week after the divorce.

Johnny was having a good time until he looked at his phone to see reports of how the media was portraying Cristina as the Gold Digger Ex.

Cris watches the hourglass with the anger fading from her eyes “Johnny..?” She said. Johnny calling those media outlets, cursing them out and asks for them to speak the truth. The media outlets refusing unless Johnny pays…Johnny being broke from the divorce he wasn’t able to meet their demands…it was those greedy media outlets fault….not Johnny’s.

Smoke signalled the others to let Cris go Cris walks over to the hourglass. Tears forming in her eyes she touches the glass where Johnny’s face is… ”Johnny…I’m so…so…so sorry…”

All her anger, all her rage…targeted at the wrong people…and she harmed the only person who has ever loved her. She begins to cry as Raiden comforts her. “I’m so sorry!” Cris cries eyes. “I want John back! Please is there a way!?” Cris cries out having no hope.

Raiden looked into the hourglass, an idea forms in his head “let me try something.” He lets go of Cris as everyone else takes a step back. Raiden began to control the hourglass, from the sands within, Geras begins to form back into himself. Breaking free from the hourglass Geras took a moment to situate himself to where and when he is at now.

Raiden steps forward to Geras “we need to talk, but first can you help revive Liu Kang? He’s the only one that can fix this” Geras looks amongst the others and seeing Cristina he was immediately able to know what happened between the time he was turned into sand and to when he was brought back. “I should be able to”.

Long story short, Geras was able to bring back Liu Kang after an hour of focusing, Raiden gives back the godhood to Liu Kang and finding out about Cris and her reasons he sets off to reverse time for the first and only ever time he will.

11 Months Earlier

Cris now being in her ‘new’ home, she suddenly hears a door knocking at her door. She walks over and opens it to see Johnny Cage…holding flowers. “I didn’t think you come here…even after you all know what I did…then at least” Cris says.

Johnny shook his head “I just want to apologise, honestly about not always being there for you” he hands the flowers to her “and that’s all in the past- well technically a different future now since Liu Kang rewinded time, yet we all remember” Johnny says. Cris frowns as she looks at the flowers “even me…I wish I can just forget ever killing everyone…I’m so sorry-“ Cris gets cut off

“Don’t be Cris! Me and my friends forgive you, oh that reminds me! They were hoping you can come visit this weekend as a apology and get to know each other without dying type event” Johnny says getting a small chuckle from Cris “besides I can’t kill again since I’m no longer stronger like that…I guess I can come this weekend…I need to apologise to everyone” she says

“Great it’s a date- I mean umm..” Johnny says with Cris holding Johnny’s hand “it’s a date…as friends?” Johnny smiles “as friends”

Days go by and that weekend Cris was getting her shoes on when suddenly a big explosion is heard in her living room. The fire alarm going off loudly. Cris grabbed a gun from her bedroom drawer before heading to the living room to see flames…and debris as if there was an explosion in the room. Cris was able to stomp out the flames since they were small and turning off the smoke alarm.

Cris noticed her phone that was in the kitchen was now moved to the floor. She picks it up before getting a phone call. She answers “Hello?”

“Cris! I’m on my way!” Johnny says excitedly. “Oh hey Johnny! Something just exploded in the living room but I can’t seem to find the cause…how long will you be?” Cris asks. “Oh shit! I’ll be there in ten minutes” the two ended the call. Cris begins to tidy up when the phone calls again.

Cris answers “Johnny you shouldn’t be calling and driving-“

“Hello Cristina! Remember me?” The GhostFace voice spoke.

Cristina looked around “who is this?” She asked into the phone. “Oh just a couple friends you made here at the black dragon! You know where we taught you to fight? you suddenly just up and left a few months ago”

Cristina “Kano said I was allowed to leave as long as I didn’t mutter a word!”

Ghostface chuckles “that is true! But this is more personal for us”

“Us?…Kobra? Kira? Is this you?” Cris asks.

“I’m the Ghost of the past! Ever seen STAB?” The voice asked coldly “let’s say I was the reason that movie exists”

Cris gets freaked out “Johnny will be here in less then 10 minutes!”

“I only need 2! You said Kobra and Kira right? Let’s say they really wanted to be like me…and this is their audition!” The call ends.

Out from the bathroom Ghostface jumps up kicking Cris to the ground with a fire kick. Cris begins to crawl away when she looked to to see another Ghostface in front of her. Throwing a purple mist into her eyes, Cris begins shooting blindly with the gun she grabbed earlier. Running to the front door she swings it open for a third Ghostface to stab her in the chest.

Cris falls back as the two from before holds her down and begins stabbing her in the chest and abdomen again and again and again.

Cris falls back into her pool of blood. The three Ghostface’s look at each other “she was the one that defeated a god?” The first Ghostface asked, taking their mask off to reveal…Billy Loomis.

The second and third took theirs off…Kobra and Kira “indeed she was!” Kira spoke. Kobra jumps in and says “we should leave now, but who should we attack next?”

Billy picks up Cris’s phone and says “let’s go through a list…let’s see here….We let Johnny find her body but we will go to where they were planning on going to kill…” Billy looks through Cris’s contacts

“Let’s kill Tomas first” Billy says, his accomplices agree.

Cris stands back up looking at the remains three. Cracking her neck she aims her gun up and begins shooting. Raiden, Smoke and Mileena quickly hid behind cover. Smoke looked at both Raiden and Mileena and says “if we die here, I’m glad to have fought alongside you both”. Raiden replies “same…now let’s take her down”. Mileena grabs out her sais before standing up, Cris aims at her to shoot where in the corner of her eyes she sees Raiden standing up shooting lightning bolts at her.

Cris jumps to the ground, still with the gun in her hand she starts firing her gun in mileena’s direction. Smoke pushes Mileena out of there before taking a bullet in his chest. Collapsing on the ground he uses the last of his energy to surround Cris in smoke so she can’t see. Raiden quickly hides behind a wall just as the smoke vanishes. Mileena peeks out and sees Cris is gone. Then hearing a sound of an empty gun from behind her, she looks and sees Cris “fuck!” Cris said as mileena jumps up and starts attacking her.

Cris dodged back as Mileena tries to stab Cris with the sais. Cris throws the empty gun away, grabbing her knife she starts attacking back. Raiden quickly starts firing lighting bolts at Cris. Cris gets knocked down and Mileena jumps on her. Mileena tried to stab Cris in the neck but Cris pushes the blades away. Cris used her left hand to stab Mileena in the side. Spinning then around she grabbed the sai from mileena’s hand and plunging then through the middle of her head.

Cris quickly grabbed the empty gun and reloads quickly. Raiden quickly comes around to attack but Cris turned, shooting Raiden in the chest. Raiden falls back as Cris shoots again. Raiden falls onto his back as Cris throws the gun away, grabbing her knife from mileena’s body.

Raiden coughs up some blood as he tries to crawl away. Cris walks over, flipping Raiden onto his back. She plunges the knife into his chest. Again and again and again and again. Raiden watched as the life left his body. Cris felt Raiden’s body go limp.

“And you still fucking failed” she stands back up. Looking at the corpses around, she limps over to the hourglass.

“Time to remake this timeline…” she said to herself as she places her hands on the glass

“No one will hurt you anymore Cris…no more…”

Chapter 9: Revelations

Raiden, Tanya, Mileena, Kitana, Ashrah, Nitara, Smoke and Rain stood where they were glaring Ghostface. Raiden takes a step forward “You were Johnny’s Ex, that’s why you targeted him first but why?” Raiden asked

Ghostface stood silent as their hand moved to the mask, pulling it up to reveal that yes…Ghostface is indeed Cristina. However she looks…worse…in some ways. “You really want to know why?” She asked. Taking a step forward when the Ungadi held their blades up at her to stop Cris from walking.

Raiden nodded “Yes…why him..and why any of us!?”. Cris let out a manic laughter “imagine leaving your old life behind to support your high school sweetheart who only cared about the riches in the world and not the one who loves him!?” She says “I tried supporting him, I really did but he was spending money left and right until we were bankrupt!”.

“I couldn’t take it anymore and I wanted to leave, but I still loved him deeply…I went back later and he was gone” she paused “I thought he just up and left, I called and texted for a while until I gave up…then months later he got in contact with me and we divorced…” she glares at Raiden “then I find out where he’s been all those months, training for a tournament…a tournament he said in the divorce would help his career again! And he just wishes me well!?”

The group look amongst themselves as Cris continues her monologue. “Then once news broke out about our divorce, guess who takes the brunt of it and is blamed by EVERYONE! In the media!…me…and Johnny didn’t even mention his part in the divorce…” Cris was brought to tears. “Want to know how that can affect someone’s psyche? I went to a mental institution and there I was treated like the gold digger the media painted me to be!”

Raiden knew in fact that Johnny had tried to tell the media his part but the media loves a good scandal…sadly that was the cause of this killing spree. He was to speak but Cris continues “so after getting out I managed to get a job at the worst fucking place, the boss was an asshole and people hated me and soon I hated myself!” She lets out a manic laugh “so I turned to fighting to try and get some of that rage out, didn’t work obviously cause I snapped after Johnny announced he was to direct a movie…A FUCKIN MOVIE!”

Cris clears her throat “so I went through some of my old stuff, found my old Ghostface costume, I found Kenshi on the way and I gagged and tied him up- well…you know the rest” she says “oh and the costume was from when me and Johnny first met…he didn’t recognise me….” She looked down at the knife she was holding. Remembering the blood soaked knife she stabbed Johnny with…over and over again…

“It felt good…but I hate what I did…then I found Johnny’s script and I realised the script had every single one of you…and a fucking god!? Oh how I killed a god!” She started laughing. Raiden then speaks up “I’m sorry for what you went through! But Johnny had tried to tell the press about the cause but they didn’t listen-“ Cris screams “SHUT UP!”

Raiden continued “He told them everything! How he always loved you and how he fell in love after he accidentally spilt alcohol over your costume at a Halloween party! A party he hosted at his old childhood home!” Cris freezes….Johnny did remember…”no…that doesn’t prove anything!” Cris says. “He only divorced you because he thought that’s what you truly wanted!”

“NO! LIES!” Cris yelled at the top of her lungs. Mileena singnalled for the Umgadi to tackle Cris. “Johnny decided to direct because he wanted to work behind the scene, hoping at one point you might return and live a comfortable life!”. Cris stared at Raiden, wiping her eyes she shook her head “it’s too late now…I’ll kill you all and I can remake the timeline…” she puts the mask back on.

The Umgadi soldier Khameleon charges at Ghostface from behind. Ghostface spun around quickly stabbing Khameleon through the eyes. Ghostface clicked her fingers and all the Umgadi disappeared. “You do remember I’m a god now right?”. With another click of her fingers, Havik’s head appeared in her hand. Havik was alive and said “I can’t regenerate! She won’t let me regenerate!”

Kitana, Mileena, Tanya, Smoke, Rain, Ashrah, Nitara and Raiden quickly got into their fighters pose. Ghostface dropped Havik’s head and stomped on it, flesh and brains exploding from under her feet. Ghostface looked at them and said “let the bloodbath begin!”

Raiden charged at Ghostface, shooting electric sparks at her, Ghostface dodged stabbing Raiden in the arm and kicking him down. Ashrah comes up from behind swinging Datusha, Ghostface grabbed the handle, elbowing Ashrah in the face she snatched the sword and quickly decapitating Ashrah.

Rain and Smoke attacks with Ghostface blocking all their attacks and knocking them down one by one easily. Tanya slid between Ghostface’s legs to sweep Ghostface from under her feet but Ghostface jumped at the last second and landing on Tanya, Ghostface stabbed Tanya in the neck a bunch of times killing her. Nitara flies at Ghostface picking her up, before she manages to take a bite Ghostface stabs her wings and ripping it open. Nitara drops Ghostface before falling down.

Ashrah and Tanya were dead. Mileena screamed as Tanya was killed. Her and Kitana quickly attacked at the same time, doing some damage to Ghostface in the process. Raiden, Smoke, Rain and Nitara were injured.

Mileena and Kitana were not holding back attacking Ghostface. It was then sudden when Ghostface stabbed Kitana right in the heart. Mileena cried out as she roundhouse kicked Ghostface down. Smoke and Rain were getting up, Smoke looks at Rain as Rain quickly stood up whine smoke was still on the ground. Rain went to use his staff to cast a ball of water around Ghostface to drown her.

Smoke manages to get up in town to see Ghostface somehow breaking out of the bubble. Stabbing Rain repeatedly. “RAIN!” He screams but just in time, Ermac has appeared. Ermac grabs a hold of Ghostface before flying them out of the window. Smoke quickly runs to Rain, Rain was bleeding out and dying. Mileena held Kitana’s hand as she passed making her way to Smoke and Rain.

Rain was gurgling in his own blood. He looked at Mileena and managed to speak out “I-I’m Sorry empress, for all the bad stuff I’ve done…”. Mileena had tears in her eyes, holding rain’s shoulder she says “it’s ok rain…I forgive you…I’ve forgiven you a while ago…” she wiped her tears. Rain slowly smiled before looking at Smoke. Holding his hand one last time he says “take Ghostface down…” he slowly closes his eyes.

Ashrah, Tanya, Khameleon, Havik and Rain are dead.

Mileena, Smoke, Ermac, Raiden and Nitara are the remaining survivors. Ghostface is over powered…how can they take her down?

Chapter 8 - Skull & Bones

Shang Tsung and Quan Chi snuck away to Shang Tsung’s old laboratories to get some privacy to discuss what their plan is. Shang Tsung walks back and forth while speaking “it seems that this Ghostface is very powerful, maybe even more powerful then Liu Kang since he’s gone now” Shang Tsung looked at Quan Chi. “Then what should our next plan be? We obviously can’t take on the empress and Ghostface ourselves” Quan Chi added.

“Then we get Nitara and Havik to rejoin us to defeat Ghostface before we take down the empress” Shang Tsung tells Quan Chi “then we will be unstoppable”. Quan Chi chuckles at the idea “perfect, now we must convert Nitara and Havik to our cause” Quan Chi says. The doors slammed open with Havik walking in shouting “do you really think I would let you both tell me what to do!?” Havik shouted “your last plan backfired and I had to do things myself! I know for sure Nitara wouldn’t aid your cause again!”

Havik walked right up to Shang Tsung’s Face “never in a million years would work for you again”. Shang Tsung looks at Havik before asking “what brings you here? Clearly since you wouldn’t work with us again then what is it?” Shang Tsung crosses his arms. Havik takes a step back before explaining “We believe to know who Ghostface is under the mask” Havik says “Li-Mei drew the person right before she died and Raiden believes he knows who it is”

Shang Tsung looks at Quan Chi before Havik adds “I won’t work with you again, but I won’t say what I’ve heard” Havik says before glancing outside. Quan Chi looked and asks “why is it dark outside? It’s only midday”. The three of them quickly came to a conclusion without speaking…Ghostface is here with them.

Havik turns to both Shang Tsung and Quan Chi “what if we just leave-“ before he could finish the sentence he suddenly blows up. His head flying out the window. Both Quan Chi and Shang Tsung gets covered in Havik’s blood and guts “disgusting!” Shang Tsung says.

Ghostface appears in the doorway where Havik walked in “Don’t move” Ghostface says. Shang Tsung and Quan Chi suddenly couldn’t even move a muscle, they were frozen in place. Ghostface leaves the room before returning minutes later with Havik’s head. Placing the head on a table Ghostface says “so you’re probably wondering, why am I doing this?”

Shang and Quan couldn’t move but they were able to move their eyes to look at each other. “I only wanted to hurt Johnny and his friends, but finding out about Outworld and more I knew I had to expand my knowledge” GhostFace continues “But I honestly thought Johnny was a nice person…until he proved he wasn’t…he only cared about the money…the fame…” Havik croaks out “who even are you!?” GhostFace clears their throats “you’ll see later, now…what I’ve actually came here to do”.

Sometime later back at the Palace, the remaining survivors all looked at the drawing Li-Mei drew before she died. “I don’t remember her name…but I do remember her face from somewhere but I can’t put my finger on it..” Raiden says as he tries to think.

The remaining survivors Raiden, Mileena, Kitana, Tanya, Smoke, Rain, Nitara, Ashrah as well as the Umgadi taking guard. Khameleon being tasked to stay close to the group.

Raiden continues looking at the drawing before it suddenly dawns on him. “I know who it is!”. At that moment the glass windows all shatter as Ghostface appeared in the room. The Umgadi all taking their position. Ghostface looked at them all before they threw two skulls over to the group. It’s Shang Tsung and Quan Chi’s skulls…they were killed.

“I know who you are!” Raiden yells out before stepping in front of the others.

“You do?” Ghostface asked

Raiden replied “Yes I do!….Cristina”

Chapter 7 - Unlucky

Rain stood in his old and empty room, just reminiscing on the times before the rebellion. Regret and remorse loomed over him as he remembered all the times growing up in this room studying for his classes. Especially the time he beat Floyd in becoming High Mage. a knock at the door broke Rain’s train of thought, he turned and opening the door he sees Smoke.

Smoke enters the room closing the door behind him. The two stood in silence for what felt like hours before Rain broke the silence “how are you feeling? I heard about your brothers”. Smoke took a sigh of breath and responds “I’m…not ok mentally but I need to focus on taking down this Ghostface” Smoke responded before adding “I won’t let him hurt anyone else” smoke holds rain’s hand “especially you…”. Rain cracked a smile at smoke before leaning in close “I won’t let Ghostface hurt you to”

Smoke smiled back before adding “if you were to live with me in earthrealmer…I honestly think you would’ve loved Scream” rain covered his face, not knowing what smoke means but he somehow understands “however not this Ghostface, this one is evil- well they’re all evil but this one in particular” smoke goes on but rain cuts him off with a peck. Smoke pauses before kissing rain back just as the door to the room opens.

“What’s going on!?” Mileena looked confused. Rain quickly pulled away and looked at Mileena “Empress! I can explain-“ rain tries to speak but Mileena shushes him “just come to the throne room, I don’t want anyone by themselves for safety..” Mileena walks off. Rain looked at smoke, his face red. Smoke held Rain’s hand again “let’s go”

Back at the throne room, Kitana speaks with Li-Mei “With the Umgadi and us, I don’t think it’ll be enough to take down this Ghostface considering they’re a Titan now but from stories form Liu Kang it is possible” she looks into Li-Mei’s eyes “I need you and one other to try and get Hotaru and his refugees fighting on our side, Nitara is in talks with her realm for help so in the mean time you and someone else will go see Hotaru”. Li-Mei looks back and says “I’ll take Baraka with me, we’ll both leave on 10” she says. Baraka walks in “make it 5, I’m ready when you are”. Li-Mei nods and turns to Kitana “we’ll leave now”

Li-Mei and Baraka leaves, Raiden walked in and looked at Kitana “is there anything I can do to help?” Raiden asked. Kitana shook her head “as of right now no” Kitana noticed Raiden’s eyes looked puffy “you ok?” She walked over to him. “Y-yeah….no it’s just I’m scared for the first time in my life..like genuinely scared” Raiden said. Kitana gives Raiden a hug “we’ll get through this”

Some time passes and both Li-Mei and Baraka had just arrived at the Seido refugee camp while Seido gets rebuilt. Baraka looks at Li-Mei “I don’t think I should go in, since I have Tarkat I don’t want to infect others”. Li-Mei looked at him “you alright to be out here by yourself?” She asked. Baraka extended his arm blades “I’ll be fine” he says. Li-Mei nodded before walking into the camp. After a few minutes she arrived at Hotaru’s tent. “Hotaru! It’s Li-Mei! We must speak urgently” Li-Mei called out. The tent opens and Hotaru lets Li-Mei in.

“Before you speak, I heard rumours of the royal house working together with the two who destroyed Seido…is that correct?” Hotaru asked almost instantly as the two sat down. Li-Mei nodded but added “it’s only until we can take down this Ghostface Killer” Li-Mei is then silenced by Hotaru’s next words “no, you can go now”. Li-Mei continued “we need your help, most of the earthrealmer champion and some of us were killed already. We need all the allies we can get” Hotaru shook his head “no, now leave or I’ll have you escorted out”. Li-Mei sighs before leaving.

Li-Mei walks back to the entrance of the camp to see Baraka “Hotaru refused, let’s go”. Baraka looked at Li-Mei “let me talk to him” he said but Li-Mei responds “won’t you get others sick?” And Baraka responds “then you push them out the way”. Baraka and Li-Mei walk back through the camp and back to Hotaru’s tent. Baraka walks in only to stop in his track.

Hotaru was gutted. His eyes gouged out and in his hands. Baraka looked at Li-Mei who looked back at him “we need to go now!”. Both run out of the tent and out of the camp.

Both Baraka and Li-Mei run through the forest heading back to the royal house but suddenly both of them gets teleported into what seemed like a mansion. Baraka and Li-Mei quickly looked around with only one goal in mind and that is to get out of there.

“This has to be Ghostface toying with us” Baraka exclaimed. Li-Mei nodded “let’s find a way out of here” she said “or kill then” Baraka replied. Baraka and Li-Mei begins to try and open the door but it wouldn’t budge. Even with Baraka’s strength it wouldn’t move. Meanwhile up the stairs from behind, Ghostface was pushing a large piano to the edge of the stairs slowly. With a last huff Ghostface pushed the piano off.

Pushing or Pulling the door wasn’t working as the two groaned loudly from exhaustion. Baraka noticed some crashing sounds getting closer and louder. Turning his head he quickly pushed Li-Mei out the way but sadly not in time to save himself. Li-Mei falls onto the ground just as the loudest crash is head next to her ear. She holds her head as her ears began ringing. Looking up at the chaos she sees the destroyed piano and Baraka’s crushed head…dead instantly “no…”

Li-Mei noticed the door was now open so she runs out. Ghostface chases after her as the two ran in the dark woods. Li-Mei noticed she must be in earthrealm as the scenery and air was completely different to Outworld. Ghostface catches up to Li-Mei before stabbing her in the chest from behind. Ghostface stabbed again and again before Li-Mei turned around and snatched the mask off Ghostface. Seeing ghostface’s face li-mei coughed out “w-who are you?”

Ghostface snatched the mask back “your nightmare” they snapped their fingers. Li-Mei gets transported back to Outworld but she realised she was stabbed in the lung deeply. Tanya spots Li-Mei as she calls for help. Li-Mei snatches a pencil and paper from a table and quickly began to draw. Tanya rushed over as Li-Mei spoke out “give this to the…empress…it’s who’s under…the….mas…..” Li-Mei slowly closed her eyes.

Tanya looked at the drawing, it was rushed but it’s clear who’s under the mask but not a name yet.

Chapter 6 - Cold Blooded Killer

An emergency meeting commences in the throne room. Umgadi taking watch at every entrance to stop any intruders from getting in. Smoke, Tanya, Raiden, Reptile, Kitana, Ermac, Baraka and Empress Mileena stood. Mileena begins the meeting

“It has come to my attention that Lord Liu Kang and some of Earthrealms Defenders… are dead” Mileena spoke. All remainder silent before Raiden spoke up “they were murdered”. Raiden looked around and at Smoke, smoke speaks “my brothers who were trained for many years…dead…Hanzo is safe elsewhere but we all won’t be unless we act fast!”

Kitana asks “can’t we just kill them?”

Raiden interjects “sadly no, Ghostface is now powerful and unstoppable, most of us here won’t even be able to stop them…not even the Umgadi”

Baraka steps forward “what shall we do Empress?”

Li-Mei speaks up “if what is being said about this Ghostface killer is true, then how are we meant to take them down?”

Empress Mileena speaks up “let me think!”

Everyone pauses before looking at each other. Mileena paces around and asks Tanya “who is confirmed dead?”

Tanya speaks out “Johnny Cage, Kenshi Takahashi, Kung Lao, Geras, Liu Kang and this morning Syzoth found Reiko and Shao murdered”

Syzoth says “their bodies were on display in the forest”

Ashrah walks in speaking “I did what you asked Empress”

Mileena nodded before she speaks up “this is going to be extremely controversial but I have gotten some help”

Kitana looks at Mileena “sister? What did you do?”

Mileena says “we need all the help we need…so as of right now Havik, Nitara, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung has agreed to help kill this Ghostface in return of something”

Kitana looked angry “do I need to remind you that they were involved in the rebellion that took mother’s life!?”

Mileena snaps back “Havik agreed to do it if we stop all slavery, Nitara agreed if we handed over people who committed the worst crimes so she can use them the breed and save her people, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung agreed for a shorter sentence and so since Liu Kang is dead and he was a titan, we need all the help!”

Kitana looks at Ermac “what does mother think!?”

Ermac steps forward “we all think including your mother that even though this is a bad idea, this idea can only work”

Kitana huffed as she crosses her arms.

Tanya whispers to Mileena who whispers back, Tanya heads away with Ashrah.

Raiden walks over to Kitana “I don’t like it to, but this is the only way we can stop Ghostface” he places a hand on her shoulder. Kitana looks at Raiden “fine…but I still don’t like it”

Kitana looks at Mileena “my apologies for my outburst..”

“It’s ok Sister” Mileena sighs

“Empress, where are Tanya and Ashrah going?” Li-Mei asked

“To get Rain out of his cell, we need everyone we can get” Mileena says

Smoke perks up “Rain’s going to help us?”

“Only until Ghostface is dead” Mileena spoke.

Kitana looked around before noticing an object under the table “sister? What’s that?” Kitana points out.

Almost everyone looked and saw a cellphone, Raiden stepped closer only for the phone to start ringing.

“No one else was here…” Mileena says.

Raiden takes a deep breath before answering the phone on speaker “what do you want?”

“Didn’t your mother tell you that respect everyone you talk to?” GhostFace says

“You killed my friends, you don’t deserve respect” Raiden snapped back

Everyone gathers around the table to stare at the phone.

“I assume everyone wants to know why I’m doing this or what’s my goal” GhostFace says

Li-Mei speaks “where are you?”

Ghostface responds “that’s for you to figure out but I’ll give you a hint…”

Everyone waited for the voice to say something before reptile perks up “I think GhostFace is in the room with us…”

Everyone starts looking around before Ghostface speaks “correct! Syzoth is right! But as a god I can easily hide myself”

Mileena signals for everyone to begin looking around the room

“I wouldn’t do that if I were you” GhostFace growls

Ghostface continues “but I have a reward for syzoth! Well more of a game”

Syzoth raises an eyebrow “I don’t want to play a game”

“You have no choice, either you choose two people in this room to die or I’ll pick one myself…you have two minutes to decide” GhostFace hangs up

Syzoth looked panicked, he looks up at everyone “I don’t want to pick who dies!”

“And if you don’t then Ghostface picks” Raiden says

Mileena then asks “I doubt anyone would voluntarily sacrifice themself, so we should leave”

Baraka and Li-Mei go to open the door “they’re locked!” Baraka tells Li-Mei who turns to the others

“We’re locked in!” Li-Mei yells

“Everyone huddle up!” Kitana says. Everyone gathers in a circle. Kitana says “GhostFace is making syzoth pick two, but if he doesn’t then one dies. I say we take our chances and go with the one”

Ermac says “we think syzoth should be the one to choose if two or one dies”

Baraka says “if needs be, I’ll be the one chosen to die”

“No!” Syzoth yells “I can’t pick! It’s not fair to any of you!”

“It’s not fair that Ghostface is making you choose!” Mileena says

Smoke says “whatever happens, I’ll be ok with so Syzoth you decide if you want to vote”

Syzoth begins thinking before he says “Baraka says he’d be the one to sacrifice himself…so Baraka and….”

Syzoth can feel his heart beating fast, in a panic

“I can’t do it…” Syzoth says

The phone rings, Raiden answers it on speakerphone

“Times up, lights out for one of you” GhostFace says

The phone hangs up, everyone puts their back together as they looked around and up for any signs of Ghostface. For what felt like eternity, the main door opens and in walks Tanya, Ashrah, Rain, Havik, Nitara, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.

Tanya looks at everyone “what’s wrong empress?”

“GhostFace is in the room!” Mileena yells but at that second, knives fell from the sky at them all. They all covered their faces but one by one they open their arms and eyes and looking around.

Kitana looked to her left and lets out a loud gasp “NO!” Everyone looked over and saw around 20 knives stabbed into Syzoth’s abdomen and chest. Syzoth is dead but it looked like he was killed instantly and without any pain.

Shang Tsung and Quan Chi looked at each other, both scared of what this could be. “What is this!?” Havik asked.

Li-Mei comes to Syzoth’s side and sighed “GhostFace thinks this is a game, taking us out one by one…”

Nitara steps forward “we were told to help kill a human, no human could do this!”

Raiden yells “GhostFace is no longer human! They’re a titan now! They have a wide range of power now!”

Smoke looked at Rain who looked back at him. The two nodded to each other that they would need to talk in private later.

Now the remaining survivors know what they’re dealing with…could any of them have a chance at killing Ghostface?

Chapter 5: New Titan, New Rules

Unmasked, blending into society, the GhostFace killer is now officially the new Titan of this timeline. With their new powers, GhostFace controls everything at their will. Though that won’t stop them from their ‘hobby’.

Walking into a video store, they walk up to the manager walked “I’m back from my vacation, what did I miss?” They asked.

The manager says in an instant, “there’s a customer here going on a rant about horror movies. Since that’s your expertise, I’ll let you deal with that.”

“And who’s this customer?” Unmasked Ghostface asks.

“Our boss…”

Ghostface meets with the boss of the store who is complaining to them about a horror movie known as Friday the 13th.

“My brother thinks Jason is invadable, but he’s played by a human! He can’t be undead” the boss rants

“Well, Jason was killed, came back, killed again…came back and killed…and he is undead” Ghostface says.

“Well, he’s still human because a human is playing him!” The boss yelled.

“No shit! Jason Voorhees is a character, an undead character! The actor is obviously human!” GhostFace yells back.

“Still Human Though!”

Ghostface pauses and looks at the reader (Yes You) “I’m going to kill this fool.”

Five minutes later, Ghostface exits the office and walks to the manager. “I just got fired, so good luck to you!”

“Wait what? Are you OK!?” The manager asked.

“It doesn’t matter! I’m a god now!” GhostFace states before leaving the manager even more confused.

Some time later in Outworld, Reiko, who had taken Onaga, was waiting for Shao to arrive to discuss a mission to overthrow Empress Mileena. On Mount Tsaagan, Reiko waited impatiently by boxing the stone wall as Onaga slept. Footsteps could be heard from behind as Reiko looked and saw GhostFace.

“WHO ARE YOU!?” Reiko pulled out his her

“I am the new Titan. Call me GhostFace” said GhostFace,

“Impossible, Liu Kang is the Titan!” Reiko states.

“That was before I gutted him like a fish! He’s dead, and I’m the new Titan”. GhostFace says

Reiko stared at the killer. Putting his dagger away, “that’s impressive!” He knelt down ThatI am at your service!”

‘That was easy’ Ghostface thought.

“I do need to know something. Are you expecting anyone?” GhostFace asks.

Reiko nodded. “General Shao, he’ll be here soon. but he’ll be delighted to have your assistance.”

Ghostface walked around Reiko “and where is the Royal Family? I’m looking for Raiden”, GhostFace responds to Reiko, placing his hands on his shoulders from behind.

“They’re at the palace! But shouldn’t you know that since you’re a Titan?” Reiko asked,

“Oh I knew already” GhostFace says as they grabbed Reiko’s dagger and sliced his throat deep.

Reiko gagged on his own blood as he turned around and pinned down Ghostface. Trying to strangle them.

Ghostface tried to breathe but couldn’t as Reiko took his last gag of air before collapsing on Ghostface. Ghostface pushed Reiko’s corpse off and stood up.

“Believed in me too easily” Ghostface says as they turned to face Onaga.

Shao soon arrives shortly after to see Onaga freed and Reiko’s corpse on the ground. Shao clenched his hammer as he began to investigate where Onaga went.

“WHERE ARE YOU ONAGA!? I KNOW YOU KILLED REIKO!” Shao says, but if he had investigated Reiko’s corpse it would be clear that Reiko was murdered by his own blade.

Suddenly, a phone rang from the corner of the room. Shao investigates and seeing a cellphone on the ground. Instead of answering it, he just smashes it to pieces with his hammer. Looking up and around just in time for Ghostface to stab their neck

“That was an $800 phone you asshole!” GhostFace curses before Shao hits them away with the hammer. Taking the Knife like a champ, he storms over to kill GhostFace, but just in time, Onaga jumps down and swipes at Shao, decapitating him…killing him instantly.

Ghostface stands up and looks at Onaga. “Thanks” they stand up. “I’ll return shortly, just need to do a quick errand.”

Back in Earth, the boss from before was watching a comedy movie in his living room. Eating popcorn and laughing alone, he doesn’t see Ghostface sneaking up from behind. Ghostface stands at the boss in the back at the neck. Climbing on him, Ghostface begins stabbing the boss repeatedly in the chest as the boss screams in horror before succumbing to his wounds and dying.

Ghostface stands up “that’s for offending me before…now back to Outworld”

Chapter 4 - Gods and Monsters

Smoke travelled up the path to the Shirai Ryu. The moonlight lit up the path through trees and falling leaves. The secret affair he had with outworld’s former mage is the only thing in his mind, though is it considered an affair?. Smoke arrived at the entrance but stopped in his path. Things are quiet….too quiet… he walked to his room where he could almost hear some muffled cries coming from inside. He quickly burst in to see Hanzo hiding under the bed. Hanzo came out from under the bed.

“Hanzo!? What happened?” Smoke asked as he knelt down. Hanzo gathered up the strength to say “the masked killer…they killed Kuai Liang…and Sub-Zero..” spoke Hanzo. Smoke felt his world explode. He quickly stood up “where!?” He asked. Hanzo pointed to the nearest building “behind there..”

Smoke took Hanzo’s hand and heading out, he peered over to the building and saw some blood. He knew what was there but didn’t want to see “let’s go, I’m taking you to somewhere safe” smoke said as he dragged Hanzo away.

Meanwhile at the Hour Glass, Raiden watched Liu Kang looking over the hourglass for any clues. Liu Kang breaks the silence

“Sub-Zero and Scorpion are gone..” Liu Kang looked over at Raiden. Raiden looked shocked but takes in a deep breath

“This killer killed two of the most trained people I know…what about smoke?” Raiden asked knowing Smoke would’ve been on his way back.

“He’s safe, I see on here that he’s taking Hanzo to Outworld…you would be much safer there to” Liu Kang tells Raiden.

Raiden shook his head “I wish to stay here”

Liu Kang refused “this killer wouldn’t be able to face against a god nor Geras, once the killer has been apprehended then it would be safe for you to return but I need you to warn empress Mileena”

Raiden paused, crossing his arms he sighs “ok..I’ll head to Outworld now…please take this bastard down” Raiden pleads as he and Liu Kang walked to Geras who was looking at the sky.

“We will, me and Geras will be here” Liu Kang summons fire from his hands and begins to teleport Raiden to Outworld. Once completed Liu Kang looks at Geras “what is it?” He asked

“This killer…I’ve discovered something” Geras says before continuing “this killer is just an Earthrealm human but looking through the hourglass their identity has been completely wiped from memory of history”

Liu Kang raises a brow “so what does this mean?”

“It means this Ghostface killer was here!”

Liu Kang looked disturbed “that’s impossible, we would’ve known someone was here” he says “or how does he even know how to erase themself from the hourglass without any of us seeing?”

Geras thinks “I think I can try and reverse the effect but my guess is they were here when you were in Fenjian”

“And with the power of the hourglass…they might’ve found an easier way to travel to different locations” Liu Kang suggests “I’ll do a sweep around, you fix the hourglass now”

Liu Kang walks away and floats above the ground to check the land for any signs of Ghostface.

Geras walks over to the hourglass as he begins pressing his hands on the glass. Using his powers to search through time, he doesn’t see in the reflection Ghostface appearing from behind and smashing his head into the glass.

Gears spun around to attack but with a couple stabs, Ghostface stabs Geras’s eyes out “Liu Kang will be back!” Geras yelled out.

“Gives me enough time to deal with you” Ghostface says

“I cannot die!” Geras says before feeling something connect to his ankle.

Ghostface has connected a chain to geras’s ankes. Geras quickly tries to heals his eyes quickly just in time to see Ghostface kicking a large stone over the edge of the island.

Geras starts to slide over the edge. Looking up and seeing Ghostface wave he says “I’ll be back!” Just as he falls over the edge.

Ghostface looked over the edge to watch Geras fall for gods know how long. Ghostface turns and looked at the hour glass. Touching it, Ghostface feels some immense power coming from the Hour Glass but in the reflection, Liu Kang drops down from doing a search.

“Why have you been killing Earthrealm’s defenders?” Liu Kang asked

“Hm? Straight to the questions? Not even dinner first?” GhostFace quipped before answering “I was only after cage, but I saw in his files photos of you all so I thought ‘why not!’” GhostFace laughed

Liu Kang scowled “so you have no motive to kill them!?”

“Exactly! Cage deserves his death for what he did to me but seeing there was more to this…I shall destroy everything he cared for” GhostFace gets into his stance before charging at Liu Kang.

Liu Kang clashes with GhostFace

“Who are you under this mask?” Liu Kang asked

“Your worst nightmare!” GhostFace quipped

Liu Kang punches Ghostface back and soon enough the two began to fight in Kombat.

Ghostface slashes Liu Kang and takes some stabs. Liu Kang defends himself enough to fight back. Liu Kang dragon kicks Ghostface back, knocking the mask off.

Ghostface gets up from the ground and grabs the mask. Liu Kang gets a good look at their face “who even are you!?” Liu Kang doesn’t recognise the person.

Ghostface puts the mask on “I’m a director! And I’m directing a movie called Liu Kang gets skewered like a fucking Pig!” GhostFace disappears behind a statue. Liu Kang chases but the second he turns the corner, GhostFace was gone.

Liu Kang looks around the hour glass. He scowled as he mutters to himself“you’re making me-“

“ANGRY!” GhostFace stabs Liu Kang in the back from behind. Liu Kang yells in pain. He grabbed Ghostface and throwing them across and into a wall, knocking them out.

Liu Kang checks his back to see he’s still bleeding before walking over to the unconscious Ghostface. Preparing to end the killer, he summons fire from his hands.

Raising his arms for the final blow, a ringtone from a phone catches his attention. Ghostface suddenly stands up stabbing Liu Kang in the abdomen.

Yelling in pain, Ghostface grabs another knife before stabbing Liu Kang in the back. Ripping the knife up, Liu Kang’s intestines pours out from his gut. Liu Kang falls back.

Liu Kang screams in pain as he feels his titan abilities being taken away from him and transferring to Ghostface. Ghostface begins floating in the air as they become the new keeper of time.

Once the powers have been transferred, Liu Kang dies. Ghostface walks over to the hour glass and gathers all knowledge of everything. Geras manages to get back up to the top, seeing Liu Kang dead he gasped “NO!”

Geras charges at Ghostface but with the new titan abilities, with a snap of their fingers Geras was now just a pile of sand, gone from existence.

Ghostface took off their mask, looking into the hour glass before telling them self “they made you a monster…not me…”

Ghostface Kills - MK Fanfic

Chapter 3 - Something Red

Raiden has been hiding at the Shirai Ryu for the past week. No news on who the Ghostface killer is or what their motive is. Raiden has been trying to remain optimistic, though with the death of his best friends is very hard to even get up out of bed. Scorpion has been very busy scouting the area to make sure the Lin Kuei or this Ghostface killer shows up.

Smoke tends to training the young Hanzo Hasashi, now a teenager. Raiden assists as much as he can. Nights and Days went by, the cold morning wind blew through the gardens. Smoke was on his way to Outworld to help assist the Empress with a task.

“What will you be doing in Outworld?” Raiden asked

“I was summoned by Empress Mileena to help assist in rehabilitation the former mage who gave himself up” Smoke says

“Why you may I ask?” Raiden questioned, unsure of why his presence was needed

“During last year, we encountered each other and I guess I made a good impression on Rain” Smoke answered.

Raiden nodded before letting Smoke leave to Outworld. Hanzo grunts as he punches and kicks the training wooden dummies on the training field. Scorpion watches from aside, taking in the young boy’s kombat form. “Remember to raise your knees higher for a harder impact!” Scorpion states. Hanzo taking his word in immediately and destroying the dummy in one kick.

Raiden walks over to see the destroyed training dummy “good job Hanzo” Scorpion says applauding the boy “you can go rest before we have lunch”

“Scorpion, I feel trapped here” Raiden confesses to Scorpion. Hanzo leaves the two to go to his room. Scorpion looks at Earthrealm’s champion

“I see…do you not feel safe here?” Scorpion asked

“No it’s not that, I do but I just can’t stay here doing nothing…I need to be back in Fenjian and find out who did this…” Raiden says. Scorpion thinks about it for mere moments

“I would suggest you stay safe here but I know that’s not what’s best for you…you can go but do let Liu Kang know” Scorpion crosses his arms.

“Thank you Scorpion, I’ll go talk to him now” Raiden spun around and left to make his way to the Hour Glass.

Scorpion sighed as he wanders around going to look for Harumi.

Meanwhile in Outworld, Smoke arrived in the dungeons. Criminals slept on the hard ground got Rain however had his own cell and a bed for good behaviour. Ever since Rain turned himself in, he was going to accept execution but at the last second Mileena changed her mind and states that Rain must remain in jail until he’s proven he has changed for the better.

Smoke knocks on the cell door to announce his arrival before entering. The Former mage sat up from his bed looking over at the ex Lin Kuei “I didn’t think you would actually show up” Rain says.

“I keep to my words, always” Smoke says closing the spoke behind him. Leaning on the wall he asks “so what do you like from me?”

“I just want to talk…it gets boring being here by myself…” Rain says “the talk we had at the Ice Temple last year when you saw me…I need to talk to you” he confesses

Smoke sits down on the bed next to him “what should we talk about?”

“Anything” Rain says looking at Smoke.

Smoke looked back and says “let’s brainstorm”

Smoke grabbed the back of Rain’s head, together they smashed their lips together in passion. Grabbing at each others body, both fell onto the bed to begin ‘brainstorming’

Back in Japan, outside the outskirts of the Shirai Ryu. Bi-Han hid in the bushes, finding ways to ambush Kuai Liang. “You wanted to betray your grandmaster…betray your clan and you were hiding here this entire time…” Bi-Han whispered to himself “should’ve known you’d be here”.

Kuai Liang has entered almost every room but Harumi was no where to be seen. So Kuai assumes she had went to the garden, Kuai walked for a few minutes before reaching the gardens.

Harumi wasn’t there either. Kuai Liang inspected the area before noticing a slash of blood on few of the flowers. Kuai Liang’s heart dropped as he noticed a trail leading into the woods.

“HARUMI!” He ran into the woods. From afar Bi-Han heard and so he begins travelling that way. Kuai Liang ran for gods know how long before he tripped over a rock. Face planting into mud, he uses his arm to wipe the mud off. Looking up he sees the brutalised corpse of Harumi. Stabbed to death on her abdomen and chest.

Kuai Liang wanted to cry and scream, but an aura so familiar calls out to him. He looked around, feeling the air getting colder. He assumes it was his former grandmaster. “BI-HAN!!” He screamed. Hearing a twig break, he looked up above to see Bi-Han leaping down to tackle him.

Kuai Liang fights Bi-Han off before kicking him back “YOU KILLED MY WIFE!” Kuai Liang screams but Bi-Han tilted his head in confusion “I never touched your wife! Nor even went near her!” Bi-Han says.

“LIAR!” The two brothers fights hand to hand Kombat. Both brothers almost brutalising each other out of anger. Bi-Han soon pushes and pins Kuai Liang against a tree

“I DIDN’T KILL HER! IM ONLY HERE TO KILL YOU!” Bi-Han pushes Kuai Liang down.

Kuai Liang looks up with hatred in his eyes “then who killed….” His face slowly went from hate to a sudden realisation “they’re here…”

Bi-Han still confused asked “and who’s here?”

Suddenly a cellphone beings ringing, where Harumi is. Kuai Liang stands up and walking over to the corpse to see a flip phone wedged in between Harumi’s hand.

“Someone has killed three of earthrealm’s warriors…Raiden was here but he left…Tomas also left” Kuai said met with an immediate groan from Bi-Han from hearing Tomàs.

Kuai Liang picks up the phone which has been ringing non stop. Kuai Liang looks at Bi-Han who snatches the phone and answers

“What?” Bi-Han snapped

“Now that’s not very nice, fighting with your own brother” the Ghostface killer says

Bi-Han raise a brow before being the phone to Kuai Liang so they could both hear

“Did you kill my wife?” Kuai Liang asked, already knowing the answer

“I didn’t mean to, she tripped and fell into my knife 53 times” GhostFace laughs

Kuai Liang clenches his fists. “Where are you now? Afraid to fight us?”

“Do you want to fight in front of your son?” GhostFace asks

Bi-Han and Kuai Liang both looked confused. Kuai Liang says “I don’t have a son”

“Then what am I doing outside of Hanzo’s room? Gonna see some Rex” GhostFace says

Kuai Liang in an instant began springing back to the Shirai Ryu base. Bi-Han soon smashing the phone and chasing after Kuai Liang.

Back in Outworld, Smoke and Rain were fixing themselves up. Rain laid back on the bed “so figured out what we’re gonna talk about?” Rain asked.

Smoke smiled before nodding “there’s been some incidents happening in earthrealmer…you know Johnny…Kenshi…and Kung Lao…they’ve been murdered”

Rain within an instant sat back up “what?!” He looked concerned “do you know who did this?” Rain asked

Smoke shook his head “no, but Raiden is with scorpion at the Shirai Ryu, he’s safe there”

Rain holds Smoke’s hand “please be careful”

Smoke squeezes Rain’s hand gently “I will” he smiled more and nuzzled his face against Rains.

Kuai Liang bursts into Hanzo’s room. He wasn’t there, no sign of any struggle. Bi-Han looks at Kuai “this is your land, what do you want to do?” Sub-Zero asked

Kuai Liang leaves the room with him “find the killer, their name is Ghostface” Kuai looks at Bi-Han “after this, our feud continues but for now I need your help”

Bi-Han huffed but agreed “fine, let’s find the killer”

“You won’t have to look that long!” GhostFace says as he jumped out from the closet, Slashing Kuai Liang’s face. Kicking Bi-Han out the door.

Kuai Liang held his face feeling the blood drip from his face. He looks up and stops the knife from going into his neck. Ghostface and Kuai Liang struggles for the knife.

Bi-Han gets back up and looks at the Ghostface mask “GET OFF HIM!” Bi-Han tackles Ghostface and pushes them out the window. Kuai Liang looked at Bi-Han, giving him a nod as a gesture of thanks.

Both leave and went around the building to see Ghostface unconscious. Bi-Han stayed back as Kuai Liang walks up close to make sure the killer is dead. But he then goes for the mask instead when suddenly in an instant, Ghostface plunges the knife into Kuai Liang’s neck.

“BROTHER!” Bi-Han screamed as he summoned an Ice Dagger and goes to attack Ghostface.

Kuai Liang clings to his neck trying to stop himself from choking on his own blood.

Bi-Han swings Ghostface into the wall, the tree and the ground in anger. Bi-Han soon looked back in time to see his younger brother take his last breath. “NO!” He crawls over to hold his brother. Seeing his brother dead, he’s filled with remorse and regret from being his brother’s enemy.

Ghostface stands up and stumbles over to Bi-Han “now I see something red” he brings the knife to Bi-Han’s throat and slashes deep.

Bi-Han chokes on his own blood, gasping for air but in his last attempts he mutters the words “I’m sorry brother…” he falls over dead next Kuai Liang.

“Fuck he’s strong” GhostFace stumbles away “now where’s that thunder boy…”

Chapter 2: Good Mourning

“Breaking News, Last Night it was confirmed that America’s best actor Johnny Cage was murdered Last Night alongside his friend Takahashi Kenshi brutally” the news reporter says. “Around 10pm Johnny’s Emergency Alert button was activated but when emergency services showed up-“ the television turns off.

Kung Lao, Raiden and Liu Kang were at the Tea House. Raiden having just turned off the Tv via a remote “I can’t believe they’re both gone…” Raiden spoke to break the silence amongst the three. Liu Kang stands up “this wasn’t my plan for either of them…we must find out who this killer is”

“But how can we find that out?” Kung Lao asked. Raiden asks “is there any photos of the killer?” But Liu Kang shrugs “I don’t know…I must consult with Geras and check the hourglass to see if there’s any clues” Liu Kang turns to leave.

“Let us know if you find anything” Kung Lao says. Liu Kang nodded before teleporting in a burst of flames away. Raiden turns to Kung Lao “we should go train but if you’re not up for that I understand…” Raiden says in a comforting tone.

Kung Lao nodded “I think I’m just gonna go home and mourn…we’ll try to at least” Kung Lao says before hugging Raiden in a tight embrace. Raiden reciprocates with a tight hug back since they both lost two best friends together.

Within two hours, Kung Lao was at his room. Making himself breakfast for dinner at 5pm. Kung Lao looked at a framed photo of the group in outworld moments after the defeat of titan Shang Taung. His sad thoughts gets broken with a phone call.

He picks up

“Hello?” Kung Lao spoke

“Hello, I’m a reporter and I have some questions regarding the death of Johnny Cage and Takahashi Kenshi” the voice says

“Oh sorry, I’m not really interested in interviews” Kung Lao says

“But I think you’d like to know what h have to say” the voice states

“And what’s that?” Kung Lao asked unamused

“I’d like to ask what you think about me gutting both of them like a fish!”

Kung Lao drops his bowl, the bowl shattering as milk and cereal spills everywhere. “W-what did you say?”

The voice laughs “now you’re interested, I said what do you think of me gutting your friends LIKE A FISH!”

“SCREW YOU! I’M REPORTING YOU!” Kung Lao screamed

The voice tsk’d “if you do that, you wouldn’t be able to visit your precious Madam Bo ever again”

Kung Lao’s voice hitched “if you lay a finger on her I swear I WILL-“

“Relax I won’t hurt her, she’s very nice…serving me as I watched you chatted with your other friend and that fire god earlier today” the voice confesses

Kung Lao went pale. The killer was watching them, listening to them at the Tea House that afternoon.

“What do you want?” Kung Lao asked

“I just want to answer a few questions” the voice says

“Fine! Ask Away!” Kung Lao snapped

“What’s your favourite scary movie?” The voice asked

“…Megan” Kung Lao confessed “but I want to ask you a question, who are you?”

“Just call me GhostFace, second question” GhostFace pauses “where am I in your house?”

Kung Lao almost dropped the phone. He quickly picked up his Razor Hat

“You better not be!” Kung Lao yelled into the phone.

“Last Question….who should I kill first? Raiden or You?” GhostFace asked

“SCREW YOU!” Kung Lao hangs up the phone before he begins to tear his home apart. He moved from the kitchen to the living room as he looked behind curtains, behind couches, in closets and even under the carpet.

Kung Lao then checks the bathroom, behind the door, in the bathtub, shower…nothing. Kung Lao yelled in anger as he storms to his bedroom, he tears everything up but alas…nothing…no one.

He walks back towards the kitchen where his phone rings again. He answers before screaming into the phone “LISTEN HERE ASSHOLE!”

“NO YOU LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE BITCH! HANG UP AGAIN AND ILL GUT YOUR FRIEND LIKE A FISH UNDERSTAND?!” GhostFace screams into the phone before laughing

Kung Lao doesn’t realise but he was crying in a mixture of fear and anger. He presses his phone against his ear “what do you want?”

“You’re getting warmer” GhostFace says.

Kung Lao steps into the bathroom

“Colder”

Kung Lao starts to get the idea. He readies his hat. He steps into the living room.

“Warmer” GhostFace says

Kung Lao heads to the window

“Colder”

Kung Lao enters the kitchen “Hot”

Kung Lao slowly looks at his fridge. He steps closer

“You’re on Fire!” GhostFace says

Kung Lao swings the fridge door open….nothing…

“Huh?” Kung Lao blinked before he noticed a Polaroid photo. He picks it up to see it’s the GhostFace killer taking a selfie…with Kung Lao making food in the background earlier.

Kung Lao looked disturbed before he turned the photo around to see the words ‘SURPRISE!’

GhostFace appears from Behind stabbing Kung Lao in the back. Kung Lao screamed in pain as he turned around. He goes to grab his hat but the killer slashes his hands making Kung Lao drop it.

GhostFace pins Kung Lao’s arms above his head as he stabs his abdomen repeatedly, his intestines soon spilling out from his gut.

Kung Lao’s screams turns into chokes as blood poured from his mouth. He fell into his ass looking up at GhostFace

“W-why?”

“Because I want to!” GhostFace raises the knife and plunges it into Kung Lao’s head.

Some time passes as Raiden is returning from training and back to the shared home he and Kung Lao lived in.

As he turned the corner he spots police tape, police cars and an ambulance. Raiden sprints over just in time to see the coroners coming out the house with Kung Lao’s body in a body bag.

“KUNG LAO!” Raiden cried as Liu Kang appeared and held him back. Raiden begins to sob, falling onto his knees to see his childhood friend…his best friend…maybe even more…dead.

“Raiden…” Liu Kang hands Raiden the Polaroid photo of the killer and Kung Lao “the police found that in Kung Lao’s hand…I’m so sorry”. Raiden cries out even more “why!? WHY HIM!?”

Liu Kang was speechless…not because of Raiden’s outburst but because he himself doesn’t even know.

“I should’ve stayed with him…or urged him to come with me…” Raiden begins to blame himself

“Cmon…you’re going to the Shirai Ryu for safety” Liu Kang says

“And what if that isn’t safe!? Outworld!? Hell I’m sure Vaeterneus is much safer” Raiden cries “I’m sorry…I shouldn’t have cursed like that…”

Madam Bo appears, Raiden sees her and hugs her tightly. Madam Bo sheds some tears.

Whoever this killer is….they won’t stop…they have a big agenda to fulfill.

Ghostface Kills - MK1 Fanfic

Chapter 1 - Opening Kill

Scene opens with Cage Mansion, the sun has set and the moon has risen. Johnny had just finished packing up the last of his trophies and awards he’s received over the years for his roles. After the events in outworld and the whole multiverse time line issue, Cage decided he needed to start fresh and the first step was accepting Kris’s divorce agreements. Other than that, he’s selling the mansion and most of his items he doesn’t need to help him afford for a new home, and a start in making a new movie.

Cage places the last box by the door and with a sigh “that’s one room…13 more rooms to go” he hummed “I should’ve called for help” he says. At that exact moment, his phone rang in his pocket. Johnny picks it up and sees it’s from an unknown caller. Without thinking he answers it “hello?” Johnny spoke

“Hello?” The voice responded

“Who is this?” Johnny Asked

“Kenshi” the voice says

“Kenshi? This doesn’t sound like you” cage says as he opens a bottle of whiskey

“I’m trying out a new voice filter on my phone, Jax taught me” the voice says “anyways I’m on my way to visit, what’s your gate code again?”

“529575” Johnny spoke as he took a sip, walking over to the big window looking over the city. “I should’ve called you earlier for some help, it took me all day to pack up one room”

“You should’ve, we coulda sat and watched some movies together” the voice says

“Yeah, what type of movie?” Cage asked

“Scary Movies, I don’t think I asked but..” the voice paused

“What’s your Favourite Scary Movie?” The Voice spoke

“Predator, I don’t think you were here but I showed that movie to Syzoth and oh boy was he scared” Cage laughed to himself. Cage turned around and noticed his front door opens ajar. He walked over and closed it.

“Have you worked on a horror movie?” The voice asked

“I did once, but that was when I was an asshole…I kinda ruined the directors life a bit…well not ‘ruin’ their life but made it hard” Johnny sighed

“Have you ever thought of talking to them? Apologising?” The voice asked

“Nah, they hate me” cage says “how long will you be until you get here Kenshi?”

There was a pause. Silence on the phone as Johnny’s phone vibrated with a notification. He didn’t choose to look at it.

“Kenshi?”

“I’m here, I’ll be there in just a few minutes” the voice says

“Oh good, I should call the others” cage responded

“Actually it’ll just be the three of us”

“Three? Who else is coming?” Cage asked

“You, me….and Kenshi” the voice states

Cage paused before laughing nervously “what?”

“Oh you didn’t know?” The voice gets more creepier “I’m not Kenshi”

Cage looked around for a moment but not believing it for a second “alright Kenshi, enough games”

“This isn’t a game Cage, this is real” the voice says

Cage decided to put the phone on speaker and check the notification he got. It was two photos from the unknown number. One of Cage taking on the phone, the other…Kenshi tied up…brutalised

“Oh my god! WHERE ARE YOU!?” Cage screamed

The voice laughed “let’s play a game cage, you win Kenshi lives, you fail Kenshi and you die!”

“Fuck You!” Cage cursed

The voice Tsk’d a few “if you act out, I’ll give Kenshi a punishment”

Cage takes a deep breath before taking a swig of the whiskey

“And no drinking that expensive whiskey” the voice states

Cage almost choked. He looked around to see if anyone was watching him.

“I’m going to ask you some questions, how misguided answer correctly or there will be a dark end” the voice says.

“If you try and contact the police or anyone, Kenshi dies immediately” the voice spoke

“How do I know Kenshi is alive right now?” Cage asked

“Turn on the Patio lights”

Cage froze in fear. Making his way to the patio door. He could barely see in the darkness through the glass. Reaching for the switch, he flicked it. The light shines upon the patio and there tied to a chair was Kenshi.

“KENSHI!” Cage tries to open the door

“I wouldn’t so that if I were you!” The voice says

Cage hesitates but closes the door again, breathing heavily in fear for Kenshi “fuck!”

Kenshi looked weakened in his eyes, cuts and bruises everywhere. He looks at Cage with sorrow.

“Now let’s play a game! First Question! Who is the killer in Friday the 13th?” The voice asked

“It’s Ja- wait no! It’s Mrs Voorhees, I watched that a few months ago” cage answers

“Correct! That was a very misleading question, now for the second question, who is the remaining survivor in Alien?” The voice asked

“Ellen Ripley and the Cat”

“Correct! Third question, which iconic horror franchise was inspired based of a real event?” Asked the Voice

“There’s a bunch!” Cage states

“But there’s one answer I’m looking for!” The voice says

Cage looks at Kenshi breathing weakly. Cage decided to go by fate “Texas Chainsaw Massacre Franchise?”

“Correct! Fourth question! What was the movie you starred in that destroyed someone’s life?” The voice asked sternly

Cage was frozen, he didn’t remember..he doesn’t even know the answer to the question. “I don’t know, I don’t know!”

“Tick Tock! Tick Tock!” The voice repeats

“W-wait! The movie was never released! So there is no movie! The backlash caused the movie to be cancelled! So there is no movie!” Cage says before laughing into the phone “I got this!”

“Oh I’m so sorry! But that’s incorrect!” The voice says

“B-but I was right! The movie was cancelled!” Cage says trying to open the door but now it was locked

“The movie was called The Devil inside, there was a title and I’m afraid, kenshi’s time has run out!” The voice says.

The outside light explodes. In the darkness only kenshi’s muffled screams are heard as the sound of slashes, stabs and squishy sounds can be heard. Johnny quickly looks for another switch before flick it. Looking back, Kenshi’s head was hanging by the spine and Kenshi’s guts now on the outside.

“You sick Fuck! KENSHI WAS INNOCENT!” Johnny cried

“One final question” the voice says

Cage fell to his knees in tears, looking at the corpse of his best friend “what?”

“Which door am I at?” The voice asked

Cage quickly looked around and went to the kitchen to press the emergency alert button underneath the kitchen counter he should’ve pressed earlier. At that moment the call ended, the skylight glass shattering as a brick fell with the glass to the ground. Cage quickly hides behind the counter. Peaking out he spots the glass door opening, a hooded figure with a ghost like mask appearing with a knife.

Cage decided to remain hidden as he texted his group chat with Raiden and Kung Lao ‘SOS KENSHI IS DEAD! MY HOME NOW!’

Cage peaks out again before not seeing the killer anymore. He decided go make an escape and wait for the police as it would be suicide to go after the killer. He slowly stands up to make his way outside, trying to avoid the glass he makes himself halfway to the door before he realised one thing.

His phone wasn’t on silent…

His ringtone rings loudly but as Johnny tried to silence it, from behind the killer appears stabbing Johnny in the spine. Johnny screams in pain as he punched the killer off. Johnny couldn’t seem to walk anymore as he crawls outside to where Kenshi’s body is.

The killer catching up speaking “I expected more of a fight Cage” the killer plunges the knife back into cage’s back and twisting the blade. Cage screams bloody murder and he’s forced on his back to face the killer.

Cage coughs up blood, looking at the killer. Reaching up and ripping off the mask he was stunned. “It’s you…” cage says

“No…I’m Ghostface” says the killer as they raise the knife before stabbing cage again and again…and again.

Blood soon drips from the blade once the killer was done. Reaching for the mask and placing it on, Ghostface decides to go to the kitchen, turning the gas stove on they light the kitchen on fire before making their escape.

Seconds later, lightning strikes as Kung Lao and Raiden appeared. The sounds of police sirens heard on the distance and from another distance, Ghostface sees the two that appeared from lightning.

Ghostface will definitely kill again.
