One thing to keep a note of as you navigate conversations surrounding Palestine and Israel is that Israelis and Zionists worldwide are on a completely different wavelength than the rest of us

As a recent example, while entire residential squares were being wiped out by Israeli war planes, Snapchat maps showed Israelis in Tel Aviv or other areas in "Israel" going about their days, at parties, nail salons, coffee shops

But they still believed deep down that they are in fact oppressed and that violence was committed against them and they were indeed the victims etc etc etc

Many of the ex-Zionists have said it in recent weeks too that they were fed a very specific idea about what Israel is supposed to be (picture a small, sad puppy), only for the bubble to burst when they visited the West Bank or when this war happened or something like that

The best you'll get out of Israelis and Zionists is "both sides are at fault" and they would toss around the blame as if we're playing hot potato and as if the past 75+ years didn't happen or that our families are not looking through the rubble for pieces of human bodies to recover.

Bottom line is they are detached from reality. They are not here to hear statistics, they are completely deafened by their dehumanisation of Palestinians. They will not be moved by harrowing images and footage, they have been utterly blinded by their hatred of ~The Other~.

You are telling people to stop talking about an issue that bores you, all because you are too intellectually and morally lazy to educate yourself. There is plenty of information out there if you are willing to dig into it. Start with Wikipedia if you don’t know what to trust. I thank god for the people out there with the moral backbone to fight for change. Imagine if the entire world felt as you did.

Oh yay! Both an argument and an insult towards me! How fun :)

First of all, I never have said or told people to stop talking about it, just merely said to educate themselves on whichever side they are upon the agreement of. I have seen many a post of people claiming atrocities of one side, yet denying claims upon their own.

Second of all, I am not lazy in any shape of regard, or bored for that matter, as I said I have grown tired and frankly annoyed at the fact I stated beforehand.

Thirdly, Wikipedia is not a viable source whether you like it or not, it's an open public domain that near anybody can access and change. Which means opinions will be put into it no matter what instead of the factual numbers and truths.

And, i do applaud and give praise to those fighting on the front lines, but I give even more so to the countless number of civilians of both sides that are having to deal with both Hamas/IDF forces and their own neighbors.

And also, if the entire world did feel as If I did towards how I felt about this conflict and everything else, they would likely have put more effort into trying to help end the whole thing in a peaceful manner, which the U.N is attempting to do, but both sides shan't accept appropriate terms. Add in the fact that Hamas is a militant force that will likely use that peacetime to their advantage, and the IDF's knowledge of so, we will likely not see this ending well for either side.

This conflict will honestly most likely end up like another Afghanistan, just without the coup and a constantly divided and fighting country.

If your this concerned and abhorred about the conflict now, you shouldn't wait to see what will happen after the Gaza Strip is dealt with, if either side gains more control over the other. We will likely see this entire conflict spreading throughout the entirety of Israel and to the west bank if Israel continues with it's push, and likely a lot more deaths of Israeli civilians if Hamas succeeds.

Okay so I know I'm a nobody, but

I'm so over seeing all this Israeli and Palestinian stuff.

Like, yes, I know and get it, I should care about it, but what can I do? I'm quite literally on the exact opposite side of the world. What can I do? Start a fundraiser? Donate? Yeah, I could, but in that way I'd basically be supporting one sides genocide of the other. Cause that's what war is.

Neither side is vehemently right by either way, Hamas/Palestine and Israel have been doing this for a long while, and they both have done things. No matter how you put it.

Yes, Israel has killed civilians. Yes, Hamas has done the same. Hamas has committed some war crimes, Israel has committed some war crimes.

You can make each and every argument "Palestine was there before" or "Israel has natural holy rights". But guess what? Each of those arguments has a counter argument. Until one side or another comes out on top, or we can get actual verified reports of what's happening (Thank you War Journalists) no decision should be made. Both sides pop out and deny propaganda, so you shouldn't take everything they say like it's the sheer truth.

So, in summary, this is a small post about The Palestine-Israeli or Israeli-Palestine war. I'm tired of seeing people listen and propagate propaganda, and want to vent out the fact that no one not directly involved can make a real effort.
