I do think it would be extremely funny if, for whatever reason;

1) Jiang Cheng came to be under the impression that Lan Sizhui is Wei Wuxian's son by birth/blood,

2) did the math, realised Lan Sizhui must have been conceived during or shortly before the Sunshot Campaign,

3) and IMMEDIATELY flew to the Cloud Recesses to scream, "WHO WERE YOU FUCKING BACK THEN?? WHO WERE YOU FUCKING!?"

Bonus points if Wei Wuxian just escalates it like, "Lan Zhan knocked me up when we were trapped in that cave actually :3" and for a whole second Jiang Cheng actually believes that he pulled some clown fish shit just to get his back blown out in a life or death situation before Wei Wuxian bursts into laughter

Bringing a dog into the room, which was a pretty shitty thing to do to Wei Wuxian but both instantly confirms his identity and would not actually harm anyone who is not Wei Wuxian.

Anyway, since you seem very concerned please rest assured that if MXTX releases an extra tomorrow in which Jiang Cheng brutally tortured a bunch of people to death I would still like him, in the same way I still like Wei Wuxian not only despite but because he had this to say about the miserable deaths he slowly inflicted on a garrison of soldiers:

oh hey look it turns out that a seventeen year old Jiang Cheng fresh off the massacre of his sect and people doesn't really see the point of torture until Shixiong explains that some people don't deserve an easy death. Learning and growing!
