The funniest wipe I've ever had in a raid was probably in a12n. He made the portals that the dps are supposed to run into and kill an add. But for reasons known only to them, both the off tank and the MAIN TANK decided to run into portals. So then Alex aggroed on each dps and healer in turn and killed them all before the tanks came back.
After we respawned someone asked the mt in chat why he did it and he just wrote "idk" and then pulled.

Just did Worqor Zormor. I was so excited to climb the mountain I didn't pay much attention to the start. I was already a tank, checked that Wuk Lamat was happy to dps, and ran in. Made it through two packs of mobs before I was like, wait, if I'm the tank, and Wuk Lamat is dps, and Alphinaud stayed behind... who the fuck is healing me?
The terror I felt when I saw healer Alisaie in the party list cannot be described.

Comparing them to Raubahn and the Sultana also made post Stormblood excellent. Aerliht has been on her own far more in Stormblood than Heavensward, where she and Alphinaud were like joined at the hip for most of it. And then the Sultana more or less forces Raubahn to go back to Ala Mhigo without her even though they both obviously love each other... auuugfffhh my heart.
Then Alphinaud decides to go off to Garlemald alone as an ambassador, gets into a plane crash, goes missing, and ends up in a coma. Aerliht was having the worst time of her life.
Post ARR, Aerliht was looking at Raubahn and the Sultana and thinking, this is me and Alphinaud. He is smart and powerful and doing important political things and I am his loyal knight.
And then the bloody banquet happens. Seeing the manifestation of her entire future and career and most important relationship destroyed in front of her very eyes. And it's arguably Alphinaud's fault. He doesn't actually know what he's doing.
#i do think letting Alphinaud go off to garlemald alone was the most ooc thing the game's ever made me do#i Cannot imagine a world where Aerliht just let that happen without throwing a major fit#it's hella dangerous and she's happy to act as his bodyguard#also I don't think there was even any urgent reason for her to stay? like the war was largely won.#if she hadn't been able to go for some reason I'm sure she would've tried to send alisaie or thancred or arenvald or literally anyone

Wuk Lamat saying basically "I can't depend on other people because I have to be a good leader" is an extremely funny thing to say to the WoL, who is the #1 person on every single Eorzean leader's speed dial when they run into an issue they can't deal with.
