Do you have any tips for newbies that want to create their first D&D character and hopefully make friends who'll want to play with?

Join clubs online, or, depending on where you live and your age, look for some in person. Take it slow, maybe do a few learning campaigns.

Memorize your character sheet! It'll help you tremendously when you have to make a decision on the spot

I just said it one day. We were sitting in her apartment, eating dinner and watching a movie. She was laughing at something on the screen, and seeing her laugh just... It made me feel so happy and it made my heart melt. I could tell right then and there that I wanted to see her laugh for forever. I would do anything to make her laugh, or even smile just a little bit. She was absolutely beautiful. Not just physically but in personality too. Everything just clicked. And i just blurted it out randomly.

She ended up saying it back, we both cried that night and, ... well now we're here. I wouldn't change a thing.

Oh shit yeah, that's... a lot. I'll be honest man, I'm not the best at working out drama. I tend to just avoid it when i can...

As far as the messing up stuff i get that. I mean, not in the same way as you obviously, but I've been in some rough relationships in the past where I ruined a lot of it. I don't regret it now of course, it led to me meeting sam, and i wouldn't change that for anything, but i definitely felt that at the time. It's not your responsibility to take on other people's feelings. Obviously don't be a complete jerk, but if there's a chance you two could be happy for the rest of your afterlife because of this, the risk is worth the reward.

That's my opinion, but in the end the decision comes down to you.
