✨️Papa Hug Headcanons✨️

I don't have a fancy layout or anything, I just like writing how I think the Papas would hug a fan if they were asked.

Enjoy~!

Primo:

Hugs in a very "come hither my child" way, opens his old arms and draws you in. One hand cradles your head, the other lays over your back, and his hold is nowhere near even the thought of being tight, but it is secure. He keeps you close and his hand gently encourages you to rest your head on his chest. His hold is almost like, biblical, those gentle floating arms you see in paintings of Jesus. He smells faintly of dust, old books, and a faint hint of cologne that's warm and deep.

Secondo:

He doesn't welcome you with arms out. Rather, he welcomes you with his arms forward, palms up. You take his hands, and he pulls you forward, guiding your hands to wrap around his shoulders. His arms wrap around you, under your arms. One hand rests on the back of your shoulder, the other wrapped around and resting on your waist. Maybe it drifts a tad bit lower because, of course, it does. His hugs are tight, not suffocating, but firm. He rests his head on your shoulder, face tilted toward your neck. His fingers are not together, but they're splayed over your back, as if trying to cover as much ground as possible. He smells like expensive cologne, tobacco, and whiskey.

Terzo:

Also in a very "come hither my child" way, but not with the same flavor. He'll extend a hand to you, beckoning you closer to him, maybe even waving you closer with a finger. His hugs are respectful, he draws you into his arms, letting you get comfortable how you wish, and once you're situated his hands find their place. He cradles specifically the back of your neck, thumb rubbing back and forth over the nape of your neck. His other hand rests on your shoulder blade, near the top of your back, but not quite at your shoulder. He might rock side to side while you two hug. His hugs feel almost disconnected. They're firm, you can't easily pull back, but they're lacking emotion. This is something he does as Papa, bringing comfort to his followers. This wasn't something he had emotional ties to. He smells like cigarettes with a strong cologne covering it.

His arms are out to you, almost like diagonal lines with his palms up. It's as if he's presenting you. He lets you make the first move, getting comfortable in his arms as he wraps his arms around you. He hugs similar to Secondo, one hand at the back of your shoulder, the other resting around your waist, but instead of feeling, he's *holding.* His hugs are tight, almost too tight at times, (if you tell him, he'll go to hugging you far too loose in fear of hurting you), and he's genuinely so thrilled to give you that hug, to cmfort you. The only time he stops holding is when his hand moves to rub gentle circles on your back. Before you part, he gives one last squeeze, then pats your back as you pull away. He'll tilt his head and smile at you and ask if you're feeling better because he needs to know if he finally did something right. He smells like vanilla and spices, warm, captivating, and comforting.

Summary: Luigi comes home from work in a foul mood and you do something you've always wanted to do in an attempt to make him feel better.

The front door opening indicated that Luigi was home.

"Hey honey!"

Luigi then slammed the door hard, causing the door to shake. You knew immediately that he was in a bad mood. Luigi hardly was ever in a bad or sour mood, so you knew that this last client was especially rude and nasty. Luigi marched up into y'alls room without saying a word to you. You weren't offended by that, for he didn't want to take his anger out on you. You didn't deserve that. You were cooking mushroom Alfredo for Luigi, his favorite meal and you hoped that would help his mood a little bit. Meanwhile, Luigi was sitting on y'alls bed, fuming with anger. The last client of the day was trying short them of the money they earned while also being a typical snotty rich person. While you and Luigi were middle class, he just wished he could earn more to give you the luxury you deserve. Luigi mostly calmed down and got out of his wet work uniform and put on a t shirt, sleep shorts and some fuzzy socks. He then walked back downstairs and slumply sat at the dining table.

"Bad day?"

"Hmhm." Luigi mumbled out what sounded like a yes.

"I'm sorry I made you some Alfredo." You announced, hoping to get something out of him.

"Thanks." Luigi mumbled.

You nearly sighed in defeat but you weren't giving up. You finished up dinner and served Luigi first. He just stared down at the plate, not eating.

"Not hungry?"

"Just waiting for you, first." He told you.

"You can go ahead, Lui Lu." You call him by his nickname.

Luigi sighed as he started eating. You then sat down with your plate and both ate in silence. It was unusual but you didn't want to press Luigi for it and make him more mad than he already was. He has never raised his voice at you or taken his anger out on you. Luigi would never forgive himself if he ever did that to you.

"Do you want to talk about it?" You offer.

Luigi just shrugged his shoulders.

"You can if you want to, you know."

"It was just…this woman." Luigi starts and you listened intently, "She was trying to short us and was being awfully rude to us."

"How so?" You ask.

Luigi sat his fork down on his plate out of frustration over the woman he dealt with.

"Woman was a bitch." Luigi's face immediately turned red from what he said.

Luigi has never cussed before until now.

"Man, that woman really did make you mad." You joked, but Luigi didn't really react to it.

The tension was so thick that you could cut a knife through it. You weren't sure on what to do until you got an idea. It could go very bad or very good either way. So you decide to go with it. You scooted over to Luigi and sat next to him. Luigi gave you a half smile, while feeling a little better that you sat closer to him but also still irritated from that woman.

"Hey." You call him.

Luigi turned his head towards you, waiting for what you were going to do. You raised a finger and pressed it against his nose.

"Boop."

Luigi was confused as your finger remained on his nose. While his nose was bigger than most people's, you thought it suited him and it made him handsome. You moved your finger away, with Luigi still remaining confused.

"Boop, boop."

You did it again, earning a small smile from Luigi.

"Oh! I'm getting somewhere." You said, booping his nose again.

A legit smile finally grew on Luigi's face. Despite being in such a foul mood for the first time ever, you always knew how to make him smile even though it was your first time dealing with this.

"Boopers." You did it again, wiggling his nose as well.

Finally, a chuckle left Luigi's mouth.

"Now there's the Luigi I know." You said as you leaned in and kissed him on his temple.

Luigi wiped his mouth and mustache of any Alfredo sauce and turned to you.

"You always know how to make me feel better." Luigi told you, admiring you.

When he first laid his eyes on you, he thought you were absolutely stunning and the greatest person alive. He was truly blessed to have you in his life.

"Just a talent I have." You booped his nose again, making Luigi laugh, "just so you know I have always wanted to do that."

"Well I won't mind if you do it from now on if it makes you happy." Luigi wrapped his arm around you in a half hug.

You leaned in and kissed his nose, making his face flush pink. For the rest of the night, the two of you talked it out and ranted about some of the worst customers you've ever dealt with. You both end the night watching TV and cuddling until y'all both passed out on the couch. You two truly loved each other, and you knew y'all would for many years to come.

"Y/N,can I talk to you for a minute?" He seemed nervous,so you tried to remain calm.

"Sure"

"My parents wanted to invite you to dinner" 

"That sounds lovely. When?" 

"Tomorrow night,meet me at the town center" Sure you were a bit scared but you figured it was as good a time as any.

You made sure to dress up a bit,but nothing too fancy you didn't want to intimidate or stand out. Although Luigi's reaction made you think you had done the opposite,but you quickly realized that was just because it was him. So that reaction was expected. 

His family was nice and the food was great but the dinner was more like an integration. You were bombarded with questions about what your intentions were with Luigi. Which quickly led to him trying to stop them before they asked anything like that again. You were just talking with his mom when your phone rang,looking down you saw that it was your mom. 

"Excuse me,it's my mother" You moved to the hall before picking up. 

You came back a few minutes later and the tone of the room had completely changed and was much more relaxed,there were no more questions. Until you left to go back home and Luigi finally asked

"You speak Italian?"

"Yeah,my mother's Italian. Speaking of which you should meet my parents soon"
