What's your favorite garnet moment?

in general, my favourite moments are when she smiles or laughs, her interactions with steven and amethyst, most of the monotonous one word lines, any time when we see how much faith she has in steven and how much she loves and trusts him, any sort of hand action (one of the first things i notice when garnet is on the screen is what her hands are doing) and because i love angst, when she’s affected by something but won’t show it, but i do want the show to bring attention to garnet’s struggles soon. i love it whenever she’s there for the people she cares about and her encouraging speeches really help me, but again i want (need) someone to help her... let garnet rest for a bit (also the fact that garnet’s there for everyone but she apparently doesn’t need help with anything herself plays into some nasty racist tropes)

actual moment wise? i would just say all of them but that’s not a proper answer so im just gonna list a bunch and bold my favs (this is gonna end up being something from nearly every ep lmao)

her first appearance, just… ripping that centipeetle in half. nice.

the classic, ‘punch something without looking at it’ thing just a minute later in the same ep

“so i’m supposed to try really hard, and not try at all at the same time?” “yes.”

launching amethyst into the sky

kicking the pillar down wordlessly in the background after steven’s raft flows away

the entirety of serious steven

bringing a rock home for steven, giving it to him without a word

“beep beep”

wordlessly picking up and launching a boulder at steven to send him flying towards them and out of danger while amethyst and pearl are shouting at him to move

“i’m not cleaning up this mess”

the entirety of steven the sword fighter

specifically the little ‘hm.’ after she realises she’s let amethyst float off into the stratosphere

smacking ballmethyst into the beach… i love competitive mode garnet

the actual interactions between her and steven in garnet’s universe kill me they’re so cute!!

the entirety of warp tour. “i’ll live”, making cookies, wearing oven mitts even though she doesn’t have to, whistling to amethyst, doing something they didn’t have to to try and relieve steven’s worries, “look’s like you’re a grandpa!” “congratulations”, HAIR RUFFLES, hugging him so tight in the stream, continuing to hold him when they arrived at the galaxy warp even though she could have put him down, carrying her whole family in her arms… honestly so much good garnet content in that ep

her reaction to stevonnie!!!

snorting and then her quiet laugh at pearl behind her hand (i love the hand thing)

the way she realised how greg was feeling and validating him by thanking him for his help

“mayor dewey, we’ll help you clean up this mess” “no we won’t”

her speech to steven at the beginning of the return and her efforts to protect him at the end

the entirety of jailbreak ofc, but some favs are how joyful she is to be back, how she stammers and apologises to steven for hiding what she is, and her worrying he won’t accept her (very important to me) her face at jasper and then the giggle, holding her entire family in her lap, 

died, came back, fought for her life, survived ship crashing, witnessed birth of a monster… “yikes.”

the cute way she lifts her arms slightly when steven rushes up and hugs her legs

listen… say uncle was annoying but the bits with the gems were good and i liked the garnet moments

amethyst’s last reformation is her room and the conversation then, the “you’re the one that wanted me to be stronger” “i don’t want this!” one

“it’s perfect” and the stuff to follow that

messing around with amethyst, telling jokes in stts. also the way she sits… it’s gay

picking up steven and walking away with him on her hair

how she thanked the watermelons for their help, it seems silly at first but when u think about it they are sentient beings with their own lives and the sacrificed them so yeah they deserve thanks.

her speech to steven at the end as well was so good… “and steven, we love you” killed me

how she reassures peri they like her and are going to help her by using ‘her word’

when she re-fused laughing.. gosh

the entirety of steven floats, especially the way she smiles when she goes “… ready to give us a hug” and then it slowly drops after steven crashes behind her followed by “close enough”

the way she said nothing in restaurant wars but was still the best part of the ep

the entirety of monster reunion

leaning on amethyst and giving greg a high five in greg the babysitter

“we’re so proud of you” and more hair ruffles

her reaction to bismuth, her little offended gasp at “you’re one to talk, sorry, two to talk”. the way she was just so open to physical affection from bismuth as well

picking up army, “aw”, tucking her under her arm, the way she looked slightly offended when army jumped away

when steven starts floating in the moon base so she holds his hand

everything in bubbled, her crying, her facial expressions, the way she explained things to steven

the way she says “ok” to peridot in the kindergarten kid
