A guide to using ‘Petcheck: For Pet Owners’
Using the ‘Petcheck: For Pet Owners’ app is a great way to keep up with your dog’s walking schedule! You can see all your scheduled walks laid out in list, or calendar form, request walks and add notes for the walkers.
Getting Started:
First of all, make sure that you have downloaded ‘Petcheck: For Pet Owners’. There are two versions of the app - one for pet owners, and one for walkers - so make sure you have the correct one!
To login, you will be issued a username and password by us here at Gimme Paw once we’ve received all of your paperwork, and set you up in our system. It will be emailed to you, but if you have any issues at all, just contact us and we can take care of it for you!
In the app:
Scheduling walks couldn’t be easier. You just pick a date and time, and your preferred service (i.e. group or private walk), add a note for our walker if you have any special instructions, and hit ‘Submit’! You can even set it up as a recurring appointment if you like.
**PRO tip** Once you hit ‘submit’, your walk won’t appear on your schedule immediately, so don’t freak out. It comes to us for review first, and will show up on your calendar when we approve the walk. (If you’re using the website version then any requested walks will show up as ‘Pending’, and you will get an alert when the walk is scheduled)
Cancelling walks can currently be done through the web browser version only, which you can access here using the same login information. If you are having any trouble, please email us your cancellation request to [email protected].
Adding Comments to a specific walk is a great way to give unique instructions to your walker that are outside of their regular requirements. For example ‘Please give Toto some food today, we’ll be home a little late’. Just open the walk you’d like to add the comment to, and tap under ‘My Comments’, and let us know what you need. It will only show up on that walk.
Adding Notes is for adding instructions that pertain to all walks. The best way to do this is to fill out our registration packet so that we can add them to your profile when setting up your account. You won’t be able to see them through the app, but they show up on our end whenever we open your account. There is also an option for you to add your own notes by going to ‘My Account’, and then selecting your dog’s profile and enter the various instructions there under ‘Collar Info’ or ‘Feeding Instructions’.The more information the better!
