My new decorating secret.

Temu shopping platform is my new decorating secret. I've found gorgeous wallpaper there, cute curtains, a vegan leather storage ottoman, wall tile, and scrapbooking supplies. These pics show work in progress of the repairs I am making to my research cabin at Lake Eufaula, OK.
I love the stuff that I found at Temu so much that I applied to their brand ambassador/influencer program. Here's my invitation link, which gets a new user two massive discounts coupons. Also, use the promo code when you shop to get up to 30% off of your purchase. It even works on sale and clearance merchandise!
Accept my invitation to get exclusive discounts at my new favorite store - up to 30%. Search my code in Temu or tap my link to download & accept my invitation.

Summer at Lake Eufaula

Eight years ago, at my cabin at Lake Eufaula, I got sober. This year, I came back to this lake to celebrate my eight sober birthday. That was July 27th.
I arrived on Father's Day weekend to find the cabin damaged, but livable. My leisurely summer of writing a book has turned into a major renovation project while I write a book. Yikes.
Hope all is well with everyone in Tumblr-land. 🎆🎊🎇🎉

When I started this blog so long ago, I was looking for a livelier way to express my ideas that Typepad or Gather provided. I was also a functional alcoholic. I did not realize that until decades passed. Now, I am 6 years, 5 months sober and tonight I shared in the meeting. I thought about just hushing up and saying nothing, but as I shared, people in the chat of the meeting began messaging, "Thank you for sharing this." and "I needed to hear this." It turns out that most of them had less than 30 days of sobriety from alcohol or drugs. I post this to encourage you to speak up for yourself and say what you think because there may be one person who needs to hear what you know, especially if you are in a support meeting. I am one of the "boring" ones who goes to work every day, works out, and eats right. I'm never bored and that kind of life - normal - was just something that the people who were 28 hours to 33 days sober could not yet conceive. I am thrilled to be the "boring" one. I am blessed and grateful for it. So, if you read this and you are usually that person who sits silently and just listens, say what you think. You could help. You have knowledge. At least one person can benefit. Thanks for reading.

‘eat the frog' method
Hi all, it’s werelivingarts. I just stumbled across this method called ‘eat the frog’, which means you get the most difficult or important task out of your way first. I actually have been using this method for a long time, hope this post gives you a new way of managing your time and productivity! 😜
“If it’s your job to eat a frog, it’s best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it’s your job to eat two frogs, it’s best to eat the biggest one first.” – Mark Twain

My face was naked without glasses earlier this week. 😯 Visionworks came to the rescue. 🤓 I had to leave my dear desk to hit the mall though. I admit to a side trip to the MAC counter. And Chick-fil-A. And Starbucks. Okay, I missed going to the mall.

Rest in peace, Silly Scamper.
The first adopted/rescued of my three fur girls passed away on April 4, 2019. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Sissy Shy and Shelley Belly. They are all playing together in Heaven now. Sweetie Sneaky, the only boy, stayed behind with a buddy of mine when I moved away from Norman, OK in 2007/8. He would not play with his sister's in Heaven or elsewhere because he had that attitude always of, "OMG, I am a male cat and I will only do manly cat things."
