A lot to unpack (An update to tell in the time and place.)

So, it's been a while since my last update but I have been wanting to talk about some stuff for a bit.

Firstly, I want to thank you all who follow me who has been very patient with me. Sometimes I'm not even patient with myself, truth be told. Secondly, in the past couple of weeks, I have been in a sorta rut when it comes creative works in general, Not to say I haven't been productive, the Fanime Realm website (despite some down periods) has been going very well. Just when it comes to my own projects, I'm just stuck on the floor at least until recently.

I won't lie, I had been down creatively with due to things piling up from the period where the VA for Hirtemio and Soepekia couldn't do his lines due to computer issues to factors that made me want to get a new voice cast for everyone except those two characters to the idea of all of this under the time frame for the 10th anniversary for original fanime. I just feel a lil' burnt out with this specifically that I kinda wanna save it for the 11th anniversary. It's a shame since the #10 is the magic number but really, I do think it is for the best.

which leads me to something that I something that I kinda wanna bring up

Xariko's Tetris Mayhem

Okay… sooo, this fucking fanime. If you couldn't already tell, yes, the YT Channel hosting Xariko's Tetris Mayhem (Moeblob Crapshoot) is being run by me. So, for this fanime specifically just kinda went out of fucking no where and there are reasons for that. Aside from what I am about to get into for the next section, I wanted to make a fanime that started with the letter "X" (the fact there was none of that in the FR website was bothering the shit outta me for the longest while, SABEDGBEFKDBJOWEJWQO) Initially, I was hoping someone else would've done that but given everyone else has lives, I've decided to be the change I wanted to be. This is a more casual series, it's gonna be part me venting about certain this via "metaphors", part my obsession with Tetris, and part sudo-Yumejoshi stuff. Now, why start up new YT channel for this fanime?

General Stuff + Decentralization

You see, I have been feeling a bit of pressure (that I have kinda put upon myself, just to be clear.) when it comes to being able to complete a fanime. For those not in the now, I am one of the very few people within the fanime community that has a crap ton of finished series. Now granted, a lot of them are in the format I like to come back to since 2014 (The Visual Novel Style Format) but a lot of folks (at least in some fanime discords) do look up to me for having that many finished projects. And while I am happy that I am able to keep that reputation….. another part of me is like "….Oh shit… I have a reputation to keep…. oh dear lord". Soooo, that's why the main reason why I made Moeblob Crapshoot; it's a more relaxed channel for me to not having to worry about finishing a fanime. And don't worry, I will still upload to Eva Charat Staff as it is a channel for finished fanime (as well as wanting to get better with my animation skills, as slow as that is.); it's just Moeblob Crapshoot is will before fanime not in either of that ballpark.

Now, I know some folks are going to have their eyebrows raised with this decision, especially for those that want to keep their works more centralized but really, I'm not exactly the only person within the fanime community who make a separate channel for specific type of fanimes that is not on their main fanime channels. And plus, you wanna hear a not-secret? Before Moeblob Crapshoot was even a thing in my mind and sometime last year, I wanted to make two separate YT Channels for animations and other stuff I wouldn't want centralized on Eva Charat Staff. This was way before I came up with an actually good solution to my personal dilemma by planning on having those projects be exclusive to sites like WeVidi and Newgrounds respectively.

Update 2/8/24

A'ight so, now that I've got two long ass community posts on YouTube out of the way, I can finally condense this information into a Tumblr post.

Was initially going to extend to 15 eps but went back down to 10 because stress reasons.

Ironically, I got two episodes left to write.

Might want to get new VAs for majority of characters that were a part of OG series.

But in all seriousness, due to some stuff I do not wish to go into out of respect, I feel a lil' awkward about the OG fanime series now (Not fully, I'm still willing to leave it public on YouTube but still)

Hence why I'm making my own re-imagining

Was thinking of making it a fanime with a new voice cast but liked the idea of it being an RPG more (You can make a very good guess on why)

That said, the OG Fanime Series is up for things like fan sequels and fan remakes (The SGtWS RPG is off-limits tho)

General Fanime Stuff

No, I am not leaving fanime, even after I get the CF Remake done.

I made a site for it (Fanime Realm), are you kidding?

I have some smol ideas (MMS OVA comes to mind)

And I still would like to participate in fun fanime challenges in the future.

I'm just old and not as energetic about pumping fanime series in a general sense (I.E., not for challenges) as I used to, lol

But rest assured, I'll still be around. :D

Fanime Realm on Neocities!!!

Sooooo, as some of you in some circles already known, last month I had been cooking up for a website that functions similarly to the Fanime and Web Series Gallery site. This IS a fairly new site, which is why a lot of "Coming Soon" picket signs on them.

That said, I have put a lot of work into this site so if you can, I recommend checking it out!!

Update: I’ve re-organized the weekly fanime document so all of the entries, regardless if they have more than one episode or not, are together. I also added color coding for an indication of if a fanime is completed, has more eps but it’s incomplete or it just as one ep!!

The previous way of organizing was a lil’ odd so I had to change it.

Tho sadly, there is no way for MMS to be at a no.7 spot (which is what I put SCFD, MA, and SGtWS to be as) and November is coming around the corner. Sadge. 😔

Initially, this was going to be a list for just the 2022/2023 Weekly Entries but the list was so small that I had to find entries for previous years (At least those that are public or unlisted because holy shit, there are a good amount of privated/deleted fanime that were a part of these challenges. x_x;.)

Two things tho

1.) If there are some things I've missed from all of the previous months/years, please let me know!!

2.) By the time of this post, there are some folks are ready to speedrun to get their entries out before November hits. So, this list WILL be updated! Be on the look out for that!

Progress check 8/13/23

Honestly, having episode 3 being finished and uploaded was actually the highlight of my week (this past week has been bloody rough, good gravy.). So much so that I actually have started a bit of progress with the final episode!!!

And if you are wondering with the folder and the file that is titled "REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE", I am going to reuse and recycle some frames I have from the past three episodes, just to reduce the stress.

REALLY wish I would've done that with my previous weekly fanimes but hindsight hits late. Thems the breaks, I'm afraid.

Knowing what I am working with, I am preparing for this to be finished by the end of the week!

Sorry for the lack of progress check this time. I was quick to finished episode 2 but by the time got that done, I've had some personal matters that was happening around me and that sorta stunted progress for episode 3.

With that said, I got lineart of the Vivimi frames done! Hopefully I'll get the frames for Senforion done as well (As well as the VN Frames. Those are just as important!). With that said, if I don't get the episodes done 8/9/23, there would be a high chance I will reschedule for Fridays or Saturdays. Given circumstances, it would be very likely. ;; Let's hope not! But we'll see-

MMS Progress Check #1!!

I've already finished the VN Frames for Moon Mansion Solitary episode 1 (only that episode!. Again: Weekly Challenge. ^^;.)

Right now, I just finished with the lineart for the CG Frames that were sketched out previous day!!!

I am aiming to upload ep 1 this Saturday (7/29/23) at the latest!!

Update on the update: The final VA I was waiting on turned in their lines and I got ALL of the lines in order now!! ^o^

All I need to do now is adding SFX and audio! Once all of that is done, Moon Mansion Solitary will be ready to go to make visuals for during the Weekly Challenge. :D

Man like, years back during the 2014-2015 and 2016-2018 eras, I've wouldn't have this good of a luck with VAs (If ya'll remember the Penalty All About days, ya'll should know why I say this, lmao) so having their lines turned in as soon as all of the VAs did feels great. :')

Update on Moon Mansion Solitary:

Almost all of the voice lines are done! Waiting on one more VA to turn in their lines. The rest are in an audio storage for each episode! Will work on the episode themselves either soon or when the VA I am waiting has turned in their lines!

Hopefully at the very least, by the time August rolls around, I'll be able to work on MMS for the Weekly Challenge. :D
