Young And Beautiful (JerJor Jay Gatsby! x female OC!) 18+
Tumblr media
Summary - After Jay invites Audrey, he suddenly goes into a manic frenzy to sort everything, whereas Audrey was simply worried about what to wear.
Warning - nicknames, that’s about it for now.
pt.3

Audrey
Audrey woke up and slipped out of bed, putting her silk robe on and opening the curtains, the sun greeting her. She let out a breath as she opened the balcony door, heat streaming in.
She looked out at the view, the sun bright in the blue sky and the water shining and glittering like a mirror in the light. The green grass was vibrant and the flowers that grew were colourful and fragrant.
She walked downstairs and sat at the dining table. Her breakfast on the table as the breeze fluttered the curtains and the sun streamed inside, making the candlesticks and cutlery shimmering and twinkle.
Once she had finished her breakfast, she walked upstairs and tried to find a dress. She was struggling really hard to find a good one. “Minnie! Could you telephone Jordan, please?” She called to the maid.
After around half an hour, Jordan arrived and ran upstairs. “Your maid said it was an emergency… what happ-, you’re fine.”
“I’m not fine! I can’t find a damned dress for my day with Gatsby!”
“Breathe, and let me sort this out…” Jordan said and sat Audrey in the chaise lounge.
Gatsby
He woke up in a frenzy, well, he woke up from the very little sleep he managed to get. He was tossing and turning all through the night, getting up and pacing around his room, pouring himself a whiskey and quickly drinking it.
He walked downstairs, his hair messy, his eyes dark and red, his pyjamas rolled up. “Albert! Call the tailor!”
And throughout the morning he’d give orders like “put the oysters on ice!” “cut the cake!” “get the flowers!”
He put on a white pinstripe suit with a pink tie, his tailor adjusting every little thing that Gatsby had nitpicked.
It soon reached two o’clock and he waited patiently for Audrey, he then heard a car pull into his driveway.
Jay took a deep breath and sat on his chaise lounge, the tea, cakes, champagne, oysters, and the teeny tiny sandwiches on the table in front of him with the floral arrangements spread around the house.
A footman let Audrey in and she walked inside, she was in a light pink dress with nude kitten heels. She was guided into the living room and she saw Jay.
“Audrey, you look lovely.” He stood, taking her hand and kissing the back of it.
“Thank you, Jay.” She smiled and looked up into his eyes.
“Please, sit.” He said and sat beside her, a cushion separating them. A maid gave Audrey and Jay a cup of tea each, and Jay took a sandwich.
“I love the flowers.” She said and looked around the living room.
“Oh, thank you, they’re lilacs.”
“Lilacs are my favourite…” Audrey said and looked off in a daze.
“So… you said you’re from Louisville?” He cleared his throat.
“Oh yes, I am, I lived there until I was 18 and then I moved to East Egg.”
“I can see right across to East Egg.”
Audrey smiled. “Where are you from?”
“California.”
“I’ve heard wonderful things about California…”
“Believe it all.”
*
It had reached 7 o’clock already and they were sitting at the dock again, on the pier, their feet dangling off the edge and their hands intertwined, their shoulders against each other as the sun started setting.
“I don’t want to go home…” Audrey said, looking out at East Egg.
“Don’t.” Jay said, moving her face with his hand and kissing her deeply, he pulled back and kissed her nose. “I want you to stay with me, tonight.”
Audrey smiled, and they stood up, walking up to the house again. Closing the door and the curtains fluttered as Jay did so.
They were like teenagers, holding hands, giggling, kissing every five minutes, whispering sweet nothings into each other’s ears while they sat beside each other.
Jay hadn’t felt this way with anyone…except Daisy.

Summary - Audrey couldn’t stop thinking about Jay after the party, no matter what she did, he was always there, and Jay was the same, but she wasn’t the only woman in his mind…
Warnings - nicknames, that’s about it.
pt.2
—————— 💚 ——————
Audrey
Audrey sat on the chaise lounge in the sitting room, a book in her hands as Jordan stood on the veranda smoking. She could barely focus on her book, suddenly the beautiful words and phrases of Austen were just mere sentences on a page.
Jordan finished with her cigarette and walked inside sitting across from Audrey, looking at her as she stared off into the distance. “Audrey?” Jordan abruptly spoke and Audrey jumped. “What’s on your mind?”
“Oh, nothing.” She shook her head.
“Nothing wouldn’t happen to be the richest man in New York, would he?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You know exactly what I’m talking about…”
“When am I ever going to see him again?” She finally gave in.
“He’s throwing a party on Saturday, Audrey.”
“Yes, but he rarely attends his parties, the one we attended was a one off.”
“Well then we’ll have to attend every party until he shows his face again.” Jordan smirked and the maid handed her a drink.
*
Audrey held up the dress that Jordan had picked out. “Jordan, you can’t expect me to wear this.” She held up the floor length gown with beads and jewels on it. “What’s are you wearing?”
“This.” Jordan held up a pair of dress pants and a blouse.
“You’re not wearing a gown?”
“Of course not, you’re meant to steal everyone’s attention, not me.”
Audrey shook her head and moved behind the dressing screen. She walked out in the gown, her gloves going up to her elbow and her shoes peeking out slightly beneath the maroon fabric.
“You look beautiful. Gatsby would be a fool to not show his face.”
She smiled and fixed her hair. Jordan quickly got dressed and took her hand, rushing her out to the car and they were driven to Gatsby’s mansion.
Gatsby
Jay sat in his study as the party was roaring on. He couldn’t get Audrey out of his head, that kiss under the stars, and fireworks. Feeling like they were the only two people in the world, but then he looked out at the bay and saw that green light that was haunting him like a phantom of the night, almost as if Daisy herself was watching him.
He twirled his half empty glass of brandy and set it on his desk. He hadn’t planned on attending this particular party, but then he looked out of the window and saw her, standing with Jordan by her side in that darling maroon dress. “God, she’s perfect.”
Gatsby walked out of the study, and into the crowded hallway, drunken party guests trailing up and down the hallway and the stairway, he didn’t mean to push but some guests were stubborn, and clearly didn’t seem to recognise him, but he was far too humble and kind to say “I’m Jay Gatsby, the host of this party and owner of this mansion, and I’m worth more than that frock you’re wearing so please move out of my way.”
Instead he said “Excuse me”, “Pardon me”, “Forgive me” or “I’m so sorry.” as he squeezed past them. He finally reached the foyer of the large house and was handed a brandy, and then roped into a conversation with a businessman talking about utter nonsense.
He pardoned himself and walked out to the garden to see if he could find Audrey. He scanned the grass and he even ventured to the dock to look for her, but he got distracted by that green light, it was calling him, like it was sending him a code from Daisy, but it wasn’t.
He walked back up to the mansion and saw Audrey in a conversation with Wolfsheim, Jay rushed over to ensure Wolfsheim had not time to say anything that may cause Audrey to dislike him.
“Wolfsheim.” He greeted and then turned to Audrey. “Miss Linwood.” He took her gloved hand and kissed it.
“Mr Gatsby.” She smiled.
“How are you enjoying the party?” He asked and Wolfsheim faded into the crowd.
“It is a wonderful soirée as always, Jay.” The way she said his name made him feel butterflies which he hadn’t felt for a long time.
“I do hope that Mr Wolfsheim hasn’t been telling you tales about myself.”
“No, he hasn’t been telling tales about you, but he did speak about how he fixed the World Series, and his cuff buttons being human molars… which I found peculiar.” She laughed softly.
“That does sound like Wolfsheim.”
She smiled and then heard the same song from the last party, he took her hand as if by magic and guided her to the dance floor, the skirt of her dress flaring as she walked, and it made it seem as if she were gliding on air.
They didn’t speak as they danced but eventually Jay looked down at her and spoke softly. “This piece is called Louisville…”
“Louisville?”
“Yes, I play it at every party, it is my favourite piece.”
“It’s beautiful, I see why…” She smiled, her hands in his. “I’m from Louisville.” She said and looked up at him.
Of course she was, she was too perfect to be from anywhere else. ‘Maybe she knows Daisy.’ Jay thought, but shook it off as it was a stupid thought.
And then the fireworks started bursting again, and they looked at each other with that familiar glint and gleam that they had known so well.
“Do you want to see somewhere special to me?” Jay asked gently.
“Of course.” She smiled and then held his hand as he walked her to the dock, the sea was shining under the light of the moon and the stars.
They sat on a pier, their legs dangling off of the side. “This is beautiful Jay.” She looked out at the view.
“Yes, it is.” He wasn’t looking where she was, he was looking at her, his hand in hers before it was on her cheek. She turned her head and looked into his eyes. He put his other hand on her cheek and kissed her, her hands were on top of his as she kissed him back.
They melted into each other, they were like magnets, drawn together by gravity, or fate…
Soon the night drew to a close, Audrey and Jordan were the last two people in Gatsby’s mansion, Jordan was walking to the car and Audrey was saying goodbye.
“Forgive my impropriety, but please come here tomorrow, I need to see you again.”
“I will be here at two o’clock.” She smiled.
“I’ll be waiting…” He kissed her once more and then she left.
He retired to his bedroom and tried to drift off to sleep, but he couldn’t get Audrey out of his head, but then as he thought about the two of them at the dock, Audrey turned into Daisy, leaving him confused and conflicted.
“Not now, not now.” He muttered to himself.
