Y/N, is a young woman who loves to spend her free time getting lost in the world of manga and anime. She was a voracious reader and loved discovering new series to immerse herself in. But Unfortunately she was running out of manga to read since she’s been going through it so quickly. So she set it for herself that she would go out and browse to her regular store to figure out what to read next. Little did she know that the moment she would flip the crisp pages of the mange, would change her life momentarily.
“Alright. Keys–check. Wallet–in my bag, check. Phone–okay it’s not here.” Muttering under her breath, y/n hurriedly searched for her phone only for her to find out that she had left it on the kitchen counter. “Battery check? 43%? Screw it.” She said. She knew that it was going to  be a quick run to the store so having her cell at a low state of battery would not cause any hiccups.
The drive towards her stop was short and only took like a 15 minute drive to get there. She parked and made sure that her doors were locked before proceeding to walk towards the local bookshop. With a single push of the door and a quick inhale, the scent of crisp books filled her senses. The rows of shelves filled with books, the soft light filtering through the windows, and the quiet chatter of patrons all contribute to the peaceful ambiance–To Y/n, it is a place where one can escape from the distractions of the outside world and immerse themselves in the boundless worlds of literature, history, science, and more. It was perfect.
As she roamed the aisles, she was struck by the sheer variety of books available. There were classic novels with timeless stories, contemporary works that explored the human condition, and everything in between. Y/N felt overwhelmed by the options, but she was determined to find the perfect book for her. She took her time, carefully scanning the shelves and reading the synopses of each book until she finally stumbled upon a title that caught her eye. She eagerly made her purchase so that she would be able to read the said literature quickly. Excited by her discovery, Y/N eagerly picked up the book and began to read the first few pages. From the first line, she was hooked which made the quick stop at the bookshop turn into a whole afternoon full of reading. “Ah, this one is really good.” She complimented it, but kept on reading.

Y/N was lost in her reading at the library, having spent the entire afternoon lost in the pages of her book. But as the hours passed, she began to feel the pangs of hunger gnawing at her stomach. She tried to ignore it, determined to stay focused on her reading, but her hunger grew stronger with each passing minute. Finally, she realized that she could no longer concentrate and decided to take a break to grab a bite to eat. “Jesus–what time is it?” Checking the time on her phone, she was surprised that she had spent 5 hours just on reading in the library.
With that she left the library, making her way to a nearby café, and ordered a sandwich and a drink. As she sat down to eat, she couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for taking a break from her reading. She enjoyed the first few chapters because of the events that happened but ever since Bakugou Katsuki showed up, the young attractive crimson eyed boy who was well of with his quirk, she was getting annoyed under the surface. Y/n knows for sure that she wouldn’t stand anyone with an attitude like that. “I probably would have slapped him if he talked like that to me.” she chuckled as she took another bite of her sandwich. That was when she felt her phone vibrate. Checking on the notification, it was her best friend.
“Y/N ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?”
Scrunching her forehead, she replied. “Hey! What’s up?”
"OMG Y/N, you won't believe what just happened! My boss is hitting on me and it's freaking me out!" Y/N quickly put down her sandwich and started typing a response.
"What?! That's crazy. What are you going to do?"
"I don't know. I mean, he's my boss and it's so inappropriate. But I don't want to lose my job either."
Y/n tapped on the screen, biting her fingernails as she thought of options for her best friend.
"No, I'm scared to. What if they don't believe me or I end up getting fired and just end up in a lot of trouble?"
"I understand, but you have to do something. You can't let him continue to hit on you. Have you considered finding a new job?" Y/n replied but followed up with another message. "Besides, It's not a problem.  It's a valid complaint. Your safety and comfort at work should be a top priority. I think you should definitely bring it up with HR. They can help you handle the situation without jeopardizing your job."
Y/n waited for a few minutes but seeing that her friend has not replied she fixed her things by taking the purchased book in hand before proceeding to the counter to get a cup of coffee to go.
“Hi there! What can I get for you?” The barista asked, leaning over the counter as if he was eager to take her order.
Y/n took a quick scan of the list of available drinks. “Uhm–can I get an Esspresso Frappuccino, Double shot, and a pump of salted caramel?”
The barista scribbled down her order. “What size would you like that to be?”
“Venti please.”
“Alright, would you like any pastry to go with that?”
“No thank you.” Y/n sweetly smiled at the barista.
“Your coffee will be ready in just a minute.” The barista returned her smile as he placed Y/n’s order and asked her to wait at the side counter for it where Y/n happily obliged. Once she had gotten her coffee, she gathered her things and left the café, her mind still swirling with thoughts of her best friend's situation. As she walked down the street, she took a deep breath, trying to clear her head and focus on the present.
She was looking forward to curling up with a good book and relaxing for the evening. The cool evening breeze whipped through her hair, and she hugged herself, enjoying the feeling of the wind on her skin as she walked toward her red Toyota Corolla. “Time to go home.” Y/n got inside her car and finally drove back home. With her windows rolled back down, she was surrounded by the sounds of the city, the smell of fresh-baked bread from a nearby bakery, and the buzz of excitement from the crowds of people hurrying to and fro. It was simple in the small little town she lived in, it was as if everyone knew everyone around here. It was where a writer like her, thought she belonged.

As Y/N walked up the steps to her apartment building, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. She was finally home, and she could put the stress of the day behind her. She dug into her pocket for her keys, feeling a sense of excitement as she thought about the hours of reading ahead of her.
She unlocked the door and stepped inside, the familiar sound of the door closing behind her a comfort. She kicked off her shoes and made her way over to the couch, eager to get comfortable and start reading.
As she settled in, she reached for her book and opened to where she had left off while taking her now half cold coffee in her other hand. "Ahh. Rest now, Work later " She muttered as she finally went back to reading.
And read what she did. Spending hours, lost in the world of the story and somehow even got attached to the character especially towards the red headed boy that everyone seemed to love and truly respect. However, as she turned the page, she was suddenly faced again with the character of Bakugou Katsuki, who she had been both fascinated and frustrated with.
"Ah Bakugou Katsuki, you're such a dick." Y/n rolled her eyes at the crimson eyed boy despite him being in a page of a manga. As Y/N read, she found herself becoming increasingly irritated with his behaviour, feeling as though he was being selfish and not considering the feelings of those around him.
She couldn't help but feel that he was ruining the story, and she found herself getting angrier and angrier with each page. She slammed the book shut, frustrated with the character and the way he was affecting her reading experience. Y/N let out a sigh, feeling drained and frustrated. She had been looking forward to a relaxing night of reading, but now she felt like she had wasted her time on a character she couldn't stand. She tossed the book onto the coffee table and leaned back into the couch, feeling overwhelmed and disappointed. “What a piece of work” She huffed as she wrapped herself with her blanket., annoyance written all over her face because she couldn’t be there to defend the sweet boy Izuku. “I’m gonna punch you hard in the face if you were real.”
