⁣Mezcal & Tequila⠀ Night and Day some say. ⠀ We say: BRING THEM ON!!⠀ ⠀ Mezcal (/mɛˈskæl/, Spanish: [mesˈkal]) ⠀ Is a Mexican distilled alcoholic beverage made from any type of agave. ⠀ The word mezcal comes from Nahuatl mexcalli [meʃˈkalːi], which means "oven-cooked agave.⠀ ⠀ Tequila ([teˈkila]) ⠀ Is a distilled beverage made from the blue agave plant, ⠀ primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila 65 km (40 mi) northwest of Guadalajara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands of the central western Mexican state of Jalisco. ⠀ ⠀ Like mezcal, tequila is also made from the agave plant and originates from the same regions of Mexico. The distinction is that tequila is made ONLY from blue agave. ⁣| Sabrage /səˈbrɑːʒ/ is a technique for opening a champagne bottle with a saber, used for ceremonial occasions. The wielder slides the saber along the body of the bottle to break the top of the neck away, leaving the neck of the bottle open and ready to pour. The force of the blunt side of the blade hitting the lip breaks the glass to separate the collar from the neck of the bottle. One does not use the sharp side of the blade. The cork and collar remain together after separating from the neck.⠀ ⠀ Amazing visual experience.
