Again, apologizing for the slow answering of asks. My sleep schedule is actually wild, and has been for a few months now. Correcting it has proven to be a struggle. I need to be *DEAD* tired to be able to fall asleep, and it's been a cycle of falling asleep in the morning, and waking up in the afternoon, or evening 😭

Rings and my oc, Enny Eclipsa. If you saw me post about an oc before, no you did not.

She’s a cat witch, but still learning the ropes. At first glance she seems distant and standoff-ish, but really she’s a bit shy and doesn’t talk much, but if you’re friendly and get her started she’ll yap your ear off. She’s not stand-offish, she just doesn’t know how to get a conversation started.

I’m gonna color this when I get home from work. Meanwhile I’m going to work on her lore. I rather like @glitchybitz toon town AU they have cooking. Lol dunno how she’d fit in other than popping into town from time to time to be ~mysterious~ (im just buying oatmeal and i cant find the aisle but im too shy to ask. ) but id love to do just that if i could lol

A little addition to the AU!

Just to be clear, everyone is allowed to make OCs, or dress up your already existing OCs for this AU! I don't see any harm in having fun along the way!

Hell, if anyone has feedback, or tips for Cabaret-life, or sees me make a mistake (I'm still trying to research and watch movies/musicals having to do with this subject, I just need to find 'em) I encourage you to kindly inform me🩵

Having some "Welcome to the Cabaret" thoughts, and I thought I'd write them down 🤔

Some rambling beneath the cut~!

Sure, it starts out with the chance meeting, poor ol' Ring-A-Ding tripping over himself after having caught sight of Dottie in the middle of her work.

(That fanart is still hella cute~! Thank you, @league-of-retired-evil genuinely, for basically jumpstarring my little AU process)🩵

The Cafe she works at (thank you @ivorypastelpetals-blog for this little idea 🩵) is right next to a cute little park in Town, I've decided 🌸 and thanks to some friends and family advocating for her, she got the job!

Now, Dottie, feeling for the disheveled little blue man, leads him out to a bench to fix him up

Chatter ensues, and she brings up the posters in her workplace, a delightful surprise to Mr. Ring-A-Ding, as he's been trying for months to get a bite, a nibble, a smidgen of interest. He gets to listen to her daydream about wanting to be on stage for all to see, even displaying a few talents, like tapdancing, singing, dancing, albeit a little unpolished and uncoordinated, but he sees a spark in there! The start of a glimmer that was set to become a firework~!

They bid farewell after Dottie was sure he's cleaned up, and with a last wave, the two were set to meet every other day~

Two people in the cabaret. That just wasn't enough. Not counting some staff, a sassy, shapely old woman in the makeup department, and a tall, heavyweight stagehand who didn't speak much. Eh, he was reliable and strong enough to lift all the new equipment coming in. Ring seemed to have a good relationship with both✨

They needed a costume department, servers, bouncers/security, performers, musicians! Anything to get this place up and running, working like a well-oiled machine, and teeming with life!

Juggling work and impromptu rehearsals wasn't something that Dottie was entirely prepared for, as she would arrive to the café groggy and barely alert. But gumption and determination to both fulfil her dreams, as well as help a new friend with their own, had her working overtime!.....

Literally, and figuratively..... But mostly literally.

Close call after close call, her work at the cafe was put in jeopardy. Falling asleep in the middle of taking orders wasn't exactly a good work ethic... Nkr was showing up in a flapper dress, or a one piece leotard.

Will she be let go in pursuit of her dreams? Will it be worth it?
