In archeology there are artifacts, which are items made or modified by humans, but there are also manuports, which haven't been modified but are found far from any possible origin point and there's no explanation besides somebody carried it there. Manuports include things like stones, fossils, and seashells, and have been found in deposits as much as three million years old.

So yeah, apparently the oldest human activity for which we have evidence is Picking Up Cool Rocks.

I think people are worried that once they're back together they'll just stick robron in a house with Seb and a baby and they'll get no other storylines and it'll be boring (and Ryan will leave again lmao) But kids are mostly offscreen anyway. "Claudette's looking after X" seems to be the throwaway line nowadays if someone needs to explain where their kids are and loads of the characters have kids and still get good storylines as well not involving their kids

I mean hopefully we have a longish time in front of us before they are a) settled down and married and b) in a position with Seb where everything is chill. Like not only do they have the John plot which will apparently last a while they still have Robert's MH plot (which if done well can be a A plot for months and a B plot for YEARS) they also have to get back together. Like most people in the fandom have said I hope they don't just get back together right after John is gone. I hope they have a time of just being in each others orbit. Relearning each other. All that should take a long time (🤞🤞🤞).

I'm also really hoping for a long boyfriend period this time around. One where the hurt from the last 6 years gets brought up for BOTH OF THEM. And then Seb. SEB. Seb should be a long ass plot. Seb is going to come in an orphan who doesn't remember either of them probably at all. Who will have a bunch of abandonment issues not only from them but probably Ross too. Who will have lost his mom in a super traumatic way.

There's also whatever is going on with the Sugden Land thing which depending how it goes is a Robert or Robron centric plot that can create a bunch of problems for them.

If all those are done well and take their time there's at least 2-3 years of story for them just with the things we know right now. And I'm sure a bunch could happen that would get them involved in other characters' stories in between all those and stretch them out further.

I don't think right now we have anything to worry about - Emmerdale is clearly very aware that Robert and Robron are their golden egg goose and so far I'm quite pleased with the way they've been telling this story. Robert is involved in almost every plot currently unfolding.

Even Aaron who at first was a little gone from the screen is now been involved in the Mack stuff AND the Vinny stuff and will interact more and more with Robert in the upcoming weeks. It's going to be awesome seeing how different he is with Robert and Mack and Vinny vs how he is closed off with John and I'm personally super exited.

So many modern detectives have tried to emulate Sherlock Holmes, and none of them have even come CLOSE to touching Benoit Blanc. That man is Holmes' true spiritual successor. He's a silly little guy. He's gay. He's a drama queen. He has impeccable fashion sense. He loves music. He works with the cops but refuses to work for them. His voice is both goofy and incredibly fun to listen to. He sucks at playing Clue and Among Us. He mopes in the bathtub for weeks when he doesn't have a case. He loves hanging out with The Girls but gets incredibly uncomfortable when women flirt with him. The only reason he can afford his gorgeous downtown apartment is because his husband works a real job.* The only thing he hates more than Rich Assholes are Stupid Rich Assholes. He solved a double (attempted triple) homicide and the thing that made him most upset was plagiarism. He supports women's rights and women's wrongs. He refuses to break the law himself but actively encourages his client to commit arson.

And, most importantly, he and Holmes would fucking love each other. If most of the modern day detectives inspired by Holmes ever met him, he would probably want to kill them with hammers, but he and Blanc would probably end up being penpals and sending each other newspaper clippings about crime or some shit. And I can absolutely envision a teenage Blanc reading the Holmes stories and being like, "Wait, being a silly little gay private detective is a viable career option? Well, I guess I've finally found my calling in life."

Anyway I love the Benoit Blanc movies and I hope they make a million of them

robert and aaron wanted a baby, a whole domestic life with a football team of kids and a dog. they are all about family life and settling down and romanticising their past. you cannot call out fans for being freaky and wanting this future for them when canonically they wanted it too.
