Actually I think what pisses me off the most is that Shang De did all this shit to Nice, horrifically abused and traumatized him, with the stated goal of using him as a weapon to avenge his son, and then DIDN'T EVEN FUCKING DO THAT. Based on the end of this episode he's pretty much completely lost interest in Nice by year 41 and never actually used him for the thing he planned to. So what was the fucking point?? What was the POINT of all his suffering???

Cool to finally have explicit confirmation that Heroes need to accept trust in order to gain power from it. Also fully explains why Yang "despite being competent and a decent person, I have absolutely no fucking faith myself" Cheng was stuck at 0 trust value until he absolutely needed to believe in himself to save Pomelo.

Also puts some other heroes into perspective. Like, Queen and X are probably as strong as they are because they first and foremost have faith in themselves, Johnny and Nice were probably stuck at 15th cuz they didn't believe in themselves, Louli's trust value probably fluctuated at the gym because she probably did let what the dudes thought get to her, ect..

Nice looks just so evil from Ahu pov, just in his world Nice looked like a shinning hero till he realized and suddenly his eyes were little pinpricks and huge shadows underneath, smile just so obviously off. Like this is a horror show to Ahu

Screaming and throwing up (tbhx ep.23 spoilers)

WOOF. 😬. When it said year 41 I got scared. It was really cool though to see the change in the art style and how that played into how Ahu fights. Also Ahu, best boy, give him all the treats. Xin Ya and him were so cute. A grumpy dog from the circus whose heart softens. Tbhx continues to be super cool cause yes even a dog can become a top hero. It was also super fun to watch it connect to the PV we got of X back two years ago and how it showed them fighting on the wall in Ahu’s POV *chef kiss*. Also connecting Ahu’s own character trailer with it shows how he came to visit Xin Ya in the hospital. Also Nice…damn. Like I I knew he would be involved in the renovations but man…You know that scene in Pearl 2022 where Pearl didn’t get the audition despite giving her all and she screamed and cried and went “PLEASE I’M A STAR” as she gets dragged off cause it was her chance to get away from the farm. That’s him right now. He is having his breakdown. That moment in movies where the woman looks at herself in the mirror with her makeup ruined and tears streaming down as she then swipes everything off and destroys everything, breaking the mirror in the process. That’s him. He gave up everything for this. Not even just his past life but probably his morals too. He was willing to kill people investigating the alien ruins to keep them silent. He got Smile (his childhood hero) killed because of the fear HE injected in Dragonboy. He was willing to stand aside and let a child and dog be killed because he needed those documents. He can’t afford to fail again. Like this man really was hanging by a thread. The speck of fear getting on his clothes and he lost it and started spiraling. Every hero (maybe besides Dragonboy) who was infected with fear had a huge transformation that basically consumed them and it looked like that was what was happening with Nice. But what do you even do when your whole hero persona was essentially created on fear too? (I think that’s what Mr. Shang said I can’t exactly remember) It’s like adding a drop of water to an already rising puddle. And Mr. Shang’s dismissal was probably the final nail in the coffin. And then we circle back to episode 1 which was so crazy (and really cool)

The different art styles changing in the end was super cool though. Shaking at this episode
