You are not a freak, you are not less respectable because you're sick, you are not weird, you are still a human being. You deserve dignity, pride, privacy and respect while dealing with your health issues.

Please, whatever you do as a creator, always remember to honor your own process no matter how frivolous it looks to other people.
As a writer with ADHD, playlists and moodboards are actually one of the most essential parts of my writing process. Other writers often see them as a fun distraction that actually keeps them from writing, but I need them. Because inevitably I drop my idea and move on to something else (another writing project or unrelated hyperfixation) and my brain, which retains information as well as a colander, will completely forget why I was excited about my original idea in the first place.
Having a playlist and moodboard full of the Vibes I love about the project is the easiest way to hack my brain back into remembering why we liked it in the first place. It's like I'm an author sleeper agent who has to trigger my own activation phrase.
But it WORKS and it's the only way I've been able to find real joy in returning to my creative projects. So, please, find what works for you and don't ever let anyone tell you how to feel about your process.
