Clarke and Emerson: Theory

So, I think Emerson may have a couple more tricks up his sleeve now that Queen Nia is dead. I think one of those tricks is going to come to play here when he gets captured. At the end of Season 2 we know that he made the deal with Lexa to free her people and retreat, but why? Why did Lexa take that deal? I’ve heard it said that Emerson would have ordered them to be put in front of the MW door and slaughtered; but I think there is more to the story than that. 

When Clarke says, “I keep asking myself, how did the Grounders know there was a self-destruct mechanism inside Mount Weather?” Lexa pauses and I think her first thought is Emerson. She knows he’s alive because he told her about the self-destruct mechanism. 

Why? Did he threaten to blow the whole mountain? I’m not sure, but I know that Lexa knows a little more about Emerson than she is letting on. I think when Clarke and Emerson have this little face off there may be some new information about what went down that night between Lexa and Emerson. Will the information Emerson tells Clarke be true? Maybe, maybe not. As Indra said, “Those who are about to die will say anything.” 

There’s more to this puzzle that I know I’m not piecing together, but I wouldn’t put it passed Emerson to try and get in Clarke’s head.

Solid choices! My only reservation would be teaming Linc with Octavia because I feel like either or both may not be in their best mindset in battle together. I think that could go for Bellamy with Octavia to an extent too. But I think those three would be a killer team!! I would love to have Lexa and Clarke but I would feel for the same reason I listed above for Linc/Octavia it wouldn’t be wise. I would maybe replace Linc with Indra? Give Octavia that mentor/leadership in battle? :) Just my ramblings!

The 100

After a few days of processing here are my thoughts on what’s happening and what could happen.

**Spoilers**

What are Titus and Lexa’s goals? To bring peace to the Grounder nation? By uniting all of the clans under one coalition that would certainly be a start to peace. But they can’t do that with Ice Nation waging war. But why a united peace? I have a feeling Titus is connected to ALIE and the CoL in someway. I think ALIE may be behind the goal Titus mentioned when he was talking to Lexa about the Summit.

I don’t know how much Lexa is involved on that side of things, but I think she is still holding some of her cards very close to her chest. She knows more about Emerson than she is letting on. They did have a chat on top of MW when they made the deal to free Lexa’s people. What else did they talk about? 

When the story of the CoL and the Grounder’s story start to intertwine I think we will see that Titus is the one to lead the Grounder’s into the CoL. I think ALIE has been a part of Grounder legend for as long as there have been Grounders. Maybe she even has a hand in choosing the next Commander. 

I don’t think Lexa wants to betray Clarke or has an immediate intention to betray her. But in the same way I also don’t think she is being honest with her. I don’t know if Lexa really ever can be completely honest with anyone. It’s just the way she has lived and had to live to be Heda. 

In the same hand I think Clarke is playing it safe with Lexa too. I think she does care for her. But I think it will take longer to build the same trust they once had before Lexa betrayed her. I think Clarke is always learning and anything she does or anything she says could have more than one meaning or motive.

I just passionately and with marvelous hand gestures explained the entire series of The 100 to my very disinterested friend. By the time I was leaving she was turning on Netflix to binge the show.

Crazy Theory for the 100

*Spoilers for 303* Aden becomes Lexa's second and is somehow corrupted by Ice Nation [maybe his parents are Ice Nation sympathizers??] and he tries to assassinate her. Clarke has to kill the poor boy to stop him, but it clicks that this is what it means to be in war. There is no right or wrong just victory and defeat. This helps her understand Lexa and her position even more.
