I think Spock could hang out with Squidward because they're the same type of cultured faggot but Squidward would get petty and mean about something and Spock would be like honestly mr tentacles I find this type of outburst very distasteful. & he would fix him

Wild that folks keep saying beekeepers abuse bees as if bees are not both venomous flying animals and fully unionized

It's often said that Carmilla influenced Dracula, but usually it's left at that.
Hopefully I'll expand on this soon, but one of the Carmilla influences on Dracula can be found in Lucy Westenra:
Carmilla and Lucy are both victims of a vampire who bit them and turned them.
Both of them died ill, shy of turning 20.
Both Carmilla and Lucy slip through cracks and locked spaces that are otherwise impossible to get through.
Both are seen at night in white, at times bloodstained.
Both of them move at night in a trance-like state when spotted by outsiders (among trees with Carmilla, among graves with Lucy). Lucy's sleepwalking could have been influenced by Carmilla's nightly trances, from when she prowls to feed.
Both of them will choose a random victim at night, feed on them, and then leave them to their fate, to hunt another day (Carmilla with female townsfolk, Lucy with children). The difference is that Carmilla's feedings prove fatal after a few days.
Carmilla and Lucy both have a target with whom they have formed a romantic bond. They see this person not just as a source of sustenance, but as someone they want to accompany them in undeath (Carmilla with Laura, Lucy with Arthur).
Lucy has similarities with Laura as well, in that both of them are also the same age, from an old, known family, in peril of turning into a vampire, and are kept in ignorance by parental/male figures. The narratives have differing attitudes towards the last point.

i walk a fine line between “i’m asexual and i hate how much the world revolves around sex” and “sex is way too stigmatized and people should be able to be more open about it if they want to”

The Dylans' conversation: a beautiful affirmation of both of their identities as whole people as well as an acknowledgement of them being intrinsically the same person.

A tip for excellent writing I just learned: Don't introduce a character with their Dramatic Backstory. It makes readers go "oh alright this is the Dramatic Background Story Character" and establishes a baseline of Tragic, either for the story as a whole or this character in particular. With no contrast of light and dark, pure darkness isn't impactful, it just looks like the absence of anything to look at.
If you really want someone's dramatic backstory to hit the audience like a gut punch, let them get to know the character first. That way the dark backstory doesn't come off as a description of who they are, but an explanation to why they are the way they are. Bonus points for connecting it to something that's already been established as a part of the character - what a devastating blow to suddenly put together that hold on, that funny quirky thing that they always do is a fucking trauma response.
