Maybe in real life it wouldn’t always work out that way. But we need to acknowledge both that a) this isn’t real life, these are stories and b) even in real life, good things also happen. People helping others just because they can aren’t an imaginary construct we invented just to make uplifting narratives, it happens every day for crying out loud. Love is real. Hope is real. And you know one way hope spreads? Stories. So yes, that protagonist is doing this because they believe in humanity. Yes, that mysterious figure is here to help us succeed. Yes, even the guy who’s done some messed up stuff is still a person deserving of a chance to heal and become better should they want it. Because, not only is it beautiful to see in a story, real-world people can see this and go ‘I can do this. I’m not alone in this. I deserve love and respect.’ Because life and fiction can never be truly divorced from one-another, they’re connected by the threads of our minds.

Sorry I missed this at first but EXACTLY there is enough hate and bad in the real world!!!! Do we not deserve something good?

Yes superhero stories can have dark and deppresing elements, but at the end of the day their main objective is supposed to be inspiring hope! Inspiring people to act! To do good! YEAH!! Also people tend to forget that one scene in one of the animated series where one of the villains who is a little girl and had only a few moments to live, Batman literally stayed and comforted her instead of taking her down!! And what about when Superman got a terminal illness thanks to the red sun and only had a week to live? He decided to go out and do as many heroic deeds as he possibly could in that short amount of time!!

Yeah!!!!! They are heroes for a reason!!!!
