i do think there is a great metaphor with baking = buck's feelings, and eddie being the one who is always eating the baked goods. the fact eddie compliments buck on them even though other characters have shown they aren't very good.... something something about how buck's feelings are always safe with eddie. eddie wants buck to share them all with him ('so if you want to be pissed off, be pissed off!'). the good, the bad, the ugly

and eddie was walking around with this feeling of “wow, i just made the bestest friend in the world. he cares about me and he loves my child so much. i want to spend all my time with him. i want to talk with him about everything. i want to listen to him talk about everything. i want to see him every day. i trust him with my life. i trust him with my son, which is even more important than my life. now that i’ve gotten to know him, i can’t really imagine my future without him in it. also, i have this weird swirl of feelings inside my chest when i see him with his romantic partners, but i have no idea what it is. it’s too confusing for me, so my brain is just kind of unable to process it. i trust him with my darkest secrets and i’m not afraid of him seeing me at my lowest, ‘cause i feel like he always accepts all of me with understanding instead of judgment. my life feels empty and wrong without him by my side. i might need him almost as much as i need my son at this point, wow. he’s just the most important person in my life. again, after my son. but i realized that i need both of them beside me to feel happy”

and for 7 years, they genuinely didn’t understand what it meant, because eddie was too inexperienced and emotionally repressed to be able to comprehend what his feelings actually meant, and buck was too unaware of what his feelings for men meant

so all these years they were really just walking around being in love with each other but not having a single idea that they were, because they really thought that this is just how platonic camaraderie feels like -

until tommy's intervention and eddie's move to el paso finally opened their eyes and gave them a new perspective from which they could look at their feelings toward each other and finally be able to understand them

their story gets me every time. like, it’s so stupid and unhinged and beautiful

and something like this really could only happen by accident, ‘cause i don’t think any tv show writer is smart enough to create something so raw and complex as their relationship from scratch

it just kind of happened by itself. and i love it

i think i might forever mourn the eddie diaz storyline we could have gotten. eddie, wracked with catholic guilt, slowly coming to terms with his feelings for buck with the help of bobby. it could have been SO GOOD.

I love that baking is Buck's coping mechanism when he's trying to avoid how he's feeling. I love that Eddie eats all of Buck's baked goods even though we know half of them aren't any good. I love that Eddie treats Bucks home like his home and Buck treats Eddie's home like his own home. I love that even through their grief they were able to sit together and drink a cup of coffee. I love that Buck acted like Eddie being in his dining room was a special surprise for Ravi. I love that Eddie offered Ravi a baked good even though he wasn't even sure what they were, only that Buck made them so he would obviously eat them.

You think Bobby Nash, in his dangerous ass job whose heart stopped for FOURTEEN FUCKING MINUTES last season and nearly drowned ALSO JUST LAST SEASON didn't have funeral arrangements already planned? Didn't have a plot picked out? Hadn't talked it over with Athena already or at least SOMEONE in the firefam? He didn't have his wishes written out and notarized? He was gonna leave that burden totally on his beloved wife's shoulders?? Please.

Sorry to talk about TSITP again, but the funniest thing about Conrad defenders are when they go "HIS MOM WAS DYING/DIED" as an excuse for his behavior when the other option in the love triangle is his little brother whose mom was obviously also dying/dead

aside from the dumb bobby dying storyline, this episode is so badly written, eddie barely in it, buck barely in it, bobby barely mentioned, tommy has 2 scenes for some reason, gerrard has more lines than hen. stupid b plot, that made bobby’s funeral feel like the side plot

thinking. of eddie’s contact picture for buck. u know. the one of him in madney’s kitchen. “in love with eddie” on his tongue. u know the one. thinking of maddie snapping the pic and sending it to eddie with the caption please come back, he won’t shut up about you. thinking of eddie blushing in his dimly lit kitchen, looking around the empty space just to double check that no one was watching, and then saving the photo onto his phone.

literally the thing is they will put a combo together that we havent seen before or seen in a while and I will be like ‼️‼️ WOW ‼️‼️ the chemistry !!!!!! like they rarely do henthena these days compared to early seasons but when they do …… wow aisha and angela forever !!! thought this last night. also angela and corinne and elijah even though hes literally been in like 4 episodes ‼️‼️

no like it’s crazy how the episode sucked shit and yet when we got glimmers of the relationships between the characters it was like WHOAAAA!!! easily the best parts of the episode. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE WHOLE EPISODE!!

I somehow (don’t ask how) got the full scripts for the last 2 episodes, so I will tell you all the juicy details.

-Don’t drink the water? Because Tommy pissed in it. He added the methane as a distraction. He is of course arrested and sentenced for life.

- Eddie is gay offscreen and enters a throuple offscreen with Brad and Gerrard. Of course, in the 6 month flash-forward, Brad kills Gerrard in a jealous rage and gets arrested for it, so Eddie is left single once again.

-Hen and Karen run a Cotsco sex cult. You only need a Cotsco membership to join. Cotsco is sponsoring this, so Hen and Karen make bank.

-Buck gets in trouble for cardigan laundering and has to do community service. There, he meets the love of his life Leddie Wiaz who can never be in the same room as Eddie Diaz. Leddie Wiaz mysteriously disappears once Eddie moves back to LA with Chris (offscreen).

-Chim now has a cosmic connection to Bobby because their blood was somehow mixed in the lab. Chimney is now a Bobby sensor. So he and Athena track Bobby down all the way in Minnesota and find him. But he has amnesia and has no idea who he is. His new name is Knobby Mash and no, he doesn’t want to go home yet because he is competeing in the new season of Masterchef.

- Maddie becomes a micro celebrity after one of her calls goes viral for meme related reasons. Yes, she will appear in a Buzzfeed video and take that coin, thank you.
