Riku paused with the sudden presence of the other, but his words is what truly shook his core. He was not expecting to hear from anyone, or to be graced by Vanitas’ sudden visit. The youth paused before offering a genuine smile, speaking in an even more genuine tone.  ❛ Vani. . .  I did promise that, didn’t I? ❜ He paused for a moment,  ❛ I’m sorry. . I still plan to teach you new things and everything else I mentioned I’d do. .  ❜ He at least wanted to, but the ink on a contract at his new home was soon to be dried. Riku was intending to gather his prized belongings and set out early in the morning, but the timing just couldn’t have been worse. Now, he had to explain to people just what he was planning to do.

He didn’t want to make anymore excuses, nor have anyone else be the solution to his decisions. He had made up his mind, though what would become of such things would be up to the other.  ❛ It might come off as selfish, but I want to extend an olive branch to you. . ❜ He turns to face the raven with certainty, lacking the previous shying away that he used to do in the past.  ❛ I’m going to a new place. . It’s suppose to be better for me, allows me to grow more than the soil given to me here. . You could come with me? ❜ The silver wondered how that would sound to Vanitas, but he figured he would know a little of how he felt. If the other didn’t confuse the situation as is. The alien paused before shaking his head lightly, realizing that he had no right to ask him.  ❛ Actually, haha, I’m being silly. . Too many thoughts in my head. . I should have just said, sorry. . ❜ He smiles, realizing the fact that not everyone wanted to move away from this place. The point that not everyone needed the space that he had been wishing for.  ❛ Oh. . and just to air it out. . I missed you too--kinda. . ❜

Niko‌:

      Crown…? Oh, a nickname! How lovely! Niko never had anything like that growing up. Sometimes they got to call Percival ‘Percy’ but the man didn’t seem to like it for some reason. that aside though Niko focused on Riku’s explanation although they found themself puzzled as he went on. Book of Prophecies? Something like that sure sounded powerful. Along with this Power of Waking thing. Niko liked to think they knew a lot about light and magic but Riku was really putting into perspective just how little they truly knew. Maybe that’s why they couldn’t find Amari–

      “–I’m sorry,” Niko frowned, placing a small hand on Riku’s arm. “I don’t entirely understand but I know it hurts to lose your friend. But like you said, Sora’s gotta be out there somewhere! And if he’s not home yet then it’s up to us to find him! If you’re not strong enough your friends can make up the difference!”

        They may not understand this Prophecies Book or Waking Power thing, but at least Niko could stay optimistic. It was the only thing they could do.

      “…Ship?” Niko parroted, their hand falling away as they spun around to search for the ship in question. “Oooh I’ve never been in a ship before! I’ve just been using pathways of light to get around! I always assumed everyone else did the same– man, am I wrong– but a ship is probably much better than that! You can actually see where you’re going! … I guess? Like I said, never been in one–”

      “–Aah. I’m rambling. Um…! Yes, I’d love to join you and your cool ship, Riku!”

                        Riku found himself involuntarily smiling at the natural antics the other showed. It in a way, reminded him of when he and King Mickey would be traveling together talking about random things. That same aura was present here, or when he’s with someone who’s generally a nice person willing to help. It was a comfort to be surrounded by supportive people again, and not nagged by the beings of darkness anymore. The taller of the two turned to follow his own gaze towards the familiar ship. His nose twitching slightly, for he’s reminded of needing to give the ‘ol boy a new paint job.  ❛ Paths of light is always helpful, but for longer distances, it’s just safer for ships. . ❜  He mentioned while beginning his walk over towards the ship, placing his hand on it. By this point, Kairi would be making fun of him for looking like a ship salesmen.

                          Out of all the ships, Riku choose the one that Sora and his gang used the most. Something about the ‘ol banged ship added a sense of class to it, like reviving a classic car like in the movies. There were a many of reasons why the Master wanted to use it, but for now, just knowing it was safe in his hands was enough of a reason for him. A gloved hand was raised as he gave the command to open the back door, allowing his new guest to look inside if they wished.  ❛ Usually, I would stock up on materials and fuel for the ship. Which was why I landed here, I need to get more Elixirs and food for the trip. .  ❜  He mentioned while slowly walking into said ship, moving some of his maps to the side so that it wouldn’t look that messy. 

                            The Master wasn’t a disorganized person by nature, but his search had been on the more aggressive side when no one was looking. The ship itself was a bit normal to most who usually drove one, but to others it would seem like a spacious monster. Gadgets, trinkets, glittering lights, booping and beeping sounds all around with three spaces for a driver and passengers in front.  Like something out of a sci-fi movie, you could tell it was something completely out of this world.  ❛ Make yourself at home, using your keyblade, you can change part of the ship into a room of your own. . I only figured that out recently, haha. .  ❜

Damon‌:

   Damon shook his head. There was no need for the other to help him, he did not ask for help either. But, seeing that the other began to search along with him inside that room, he did not say anything. He knew he should not let anyone in that room, but he did not think there was going to be a problem. After listening to the other’s question, Damon narrowed his eyes.

   ❝ Honestly? From nowhere, it’s a long story and I don’t like telling it to people I barely know, I’ll just say that I’m always traveling, working a season somewhere and then I travel again. I’m not comfortable in a fixed place , that’s why I do this. ❞ he explained without taking his eyes off the cupboards, looking to see if he could find that map.

                          Upon hearing what the other explained about his own journey, Riku nodded silently, confirming that he heard him and in fact understood. This situation, this person, was on the weirder end for Riku, having that he’s met a lot of people back at his shop. He would have thought he could hold a conversation with just about anyone. Yet, with Damon, he seemed to be like a struggling fish out of water, and even salt water at that. The alien shifted his attention towards the cupboards that remained on his side, and tried his best not to pester no longer.  ❛ I’ll. . hn, I’ll do my best to get out of your hair sooner then. . ❜  It wasn’t a retort, or something snippy, it just happened to be his defense when it seemed like his human interactions just wasn’t working. Funny enough, this only happened when his ‘ humanly ‘ charms weren’t working. 

❛ You must have fun, being able to travel wherever you please. .❜ A hint of jealously leaking onto the surface. Maybe that was it all along, the sense of small jealousy that he’s never willing to admit to himself. The other could come and go as he pleased, and yet he couldn’t. No, monsters were allowed to go where ever they wanted. And knowing that, being reminded of that is what irked him. Hands finally reached what looked like a map, but he wasn’t sure.  ❛ Funny, I don’t even know how to read a map, yet I need one. . haha. . ❜

                        Riku doesn’t mind the odd stare he’s received, because his goals requires trust, and he knows that. Being a creature who once didn’t trust humans either, he understands the other’s actions. Moving to have a seat next to him, a basket of lavender and flora in his lap. He proceeds to make a flower crown for himself and his newly dubbed -- child.  ❛ How about, I teach you about some old crafting skills. . ❜  Oh how wonderful this new adventure will be! It may not have been by blood or anything, but who said there was not a such thing as found family!

                      Today was one of the few days that the flower shop was actually closed, due to the order of him needing to rest. Due to him needing to get away from his overworking tendencies. Lately, his mind had been swimming,for he’s always in his head-space and today was no different. This day, so happened to be a beautiful one – a windy day but a beautiful one nonetheless. Near the local park, the silver haired florist enjoyed the sounds of laughter from the nearby children. Parents could be heard as well, chatting about economy, politics and the sorts. Neither of the sorts of things he happened to be interested in, but luckily he brought along with him a few books of the sciences. Yes, he was suppose to be resting, but none had ever told him just how to do such a thing properly. Turning another riveting page about the cellular construct of the human blood cell, he pauses when a child appears before his leg. 

                      A small jolt of shock is made upon contact, before calmness is replaced by the fear. Aqua eyes glances down towards the little child, noticing the makeshift flower crown that laced their head. ❛ Oh! Hello there, little one. . ❜  Now no longer mini freaking out about the apparent touch that came out of nowhere, Riku proceeds to place his book down. What caused him to laugh a little, was the spoken words of love towards him. How cute! Lately, he’s been wondering has his flora presence had a positive effect on the children and their parents within the area. Being the creator of some of the flowers that laced the child’s head, Riku smiled before answering, ❛ Naww, thank you. . I love your flowers. . did you pick them? ❜ Yes, yes he knows it’s terrible to pick a flower, but for the sake of children, he would allow such a thing. Oh how one day he wishes he could have some children of his own. To teach them the ways of the flora and how to continue on the path of curing others. So that children like these, may grow past the mud of Midgar. And flourish in the sun of the Upper Plate as equals.

any lasting injuries from combat ?

Usually, because of his Jenovian and Mako infused blood. Riku can heal pretty easily, unless it’s something very drastic like decapitation. Any loss of limbs takes a matter of hours to regrow back and will have lasting scars on his body. His current scars aren’t from battling, but from his experimentation and trials at the ShinRa building.

✿ ❜ FLOWER BUDS.  // ⇢  @exaltnox!!

                     LIGHT was a universal symbol to those who were willing to protect it. It was either because the love of their people, the love of their family, or the love of what was truly right. Guardians from all over the universe were summoned to defend this great LIGHT, to protect it and to gather arm in arm to defeat the great evils of the world. These warriors were known for their fighting abilities, their agile like styles of finesse. Truly revered for their sacrifices and devotions. However, what was not spoken about, was the injustice within this great following. The prejudice against aliens and half humans, and how they were not taught these great styles. Which was why Riku was here. No one was willing to teach nor train him in the arts of battle. And he knew, deep down he wouldn’t be able to survive with just the limited abilities he currently had. Oh no, he needed someone who was willing to train him - and someone who knew what they were doing. 

                    What was he doing here on this island one would ask? Well, because Cookie had told him about powerful warriors who served in the name of honor. How did the little stardust know about such people? Well, one would say it was because they were crafted from the star streams themselves. Either way, He told Riku to come here, almost guided him even. Which is where he stood now, somewhere near the shores of the nearby beach. Taking in the site of water and animals within the sea itself. A smile appearing on his face, pleased with whomever terra-formed this piece of earth-land.  ❛ This person is a genius. . look at the way they formed the ocean, Cookie. . ❜  The creature squeaked a happy ‘ kyee kyee ’ sound before flapping it’s wings towards a nearby person, edging Riku on to go in that direction. Which without questioning, he did.

                   ( Verse ; StarGuardian Headcanon)

                   Star Guardian Riku is of course part of the Omega Squad, but so far there are no others that is apart of his own personal group. Meaning, he is usually being exchanged into much bigger squads that are being led by other leaders. He doesn’t have much to say about the whole ordeal. However, one day he hopes the Super Nova’s would be kind enough to acknowledge his hard work, and dedication to the cause. He hopes that one day, he too would be honored with a squad of his very own. A nice little group of mixed background people and aliens alike. People he would be willing to put his life on the line for, and not some know it all star pricks.

                    Abilities

Terra-forming ( Organic ; Non-Organic [ Metals,Crystals], Liquids ): Riku has the ability to terra-form or terraformation of a planet/moon. The process of deliberately modifying its atmosphere, temperature, surface topography or ecology to be similar to the environment of Earth to make it habitable by Earth-like life. ( Fallback: Riku can only properly terraform for a limited time of an hour before he passes out for three solid days. If he were to do longer than that, he would need an entire team to sustain him. )

Diamond Shielding:  A dark defensive diamond-like barrier that’s exclusive to Riku’s species. It generates a black and white glass like gravity shield around the user and anyone he wishes to guard over. It may be used in midair, causing Riku to briefly hover while the barrier is active. The barrier's blocking duration is extended whenever any attacks come into contact in succession. ( Fallback: Riku is unable to hold up the barrier and fight at the same time. Someone on his team would need to defend them, before the barrier eventually breaks. It also can’t withstand PURE light attacks, or a planet exploding. It also, because of the gravity, tends to pull enemies closer. ) 

Hyper Hydraulic Healing: Aggressive cure magic that restores medium amounts of health and magic to the user, or to a party member. Visually,  the Cure magic invokes flowers or plants. A symbol of his origins. This type of healing is considered “ hyper ” for it’s abilities to cure broken bones and illness( The Black Rot). ( Fallback: Riku can only fully heal up to two people within a day. If injuries are minor, he can heal up to a group of 4, but they will not receive magic. He also can’t fight and heal at the same time. Unless, he’s properly taught. )

Shadow Orbs: Riku can summon and transform dark matter into little orbs for combat. They are controlled by his center of gravity and can be used to move objects a certain distance away from him. They are purple and blackish little balls that can also hover around him. ( Fallback: These are to be considered his most weakest of abilities, and usually can only be used for distractions and play. It requires him to use a lot of excess magic to summon. )

                    Cookie; The Komory.

 Cookie, is Riku’s special little stardust! He is a bat-like creature that was crafted from the very hands of the Super Nova’s. The little bat is a signaling that Riku qualifies to be a Star Guardian, and must protect the cosmos from any and all threats. He is also Riku’s medium, and can extend any of Riku’s abilities to teammates for just a little longer. Cookie is a dark type, thus giving Riku bat like wings for flight on command. This creature loves, well cookies, and anything sweet. Often times, this little buddy can be found sleeping on curtains within Riku’s room. Riku has the highest bond meter with Cookie, than even that of the Veteran Star Guardians above him.

                        Papers that laid neatly staked on a rich cherry oak table remained untouched as the General moved his gaze upon his son. He paused for a minute, listening to the ancient species within his head speak in tongues about something irrelevant. Gloved hands moved two fingers to indicate the child could enter further into his domain. ❝ Good-morning, Riku. . ❞ A newly formed smirk now appearing on his face, matching the once smug look the boy held on his own face only moments ago.  ❝ I see you didn’t let Jessica scare you away this time. . ❞ He teased knowing full well that there were other reasons as to why the child couldn’t come to see him sooner. He was a smart man, and in such, knew that ShinRa forbid it. It was considered too dangerous for two aliens to be in the same place at the same time. Especially, when one such as himself was considered the most dangerous of them all.

                      Sephiroth slowly stood from where he worked and turned from the table to meet the other in the middle of his office. At first, he wanted to extend a hand for a shake but stopped himself. That was no way to treat the child he helped create, nor was it how he was suppose to react to him. He silently cursed his conditioning, his routine of meeting people and offering a handshake in good nature. Instead, the taller male only simply opened his arms wide. A gesture he’s done time and time again with the one he loved. It was something so simple, but it was one of the many things Cloud had been secretly teaching him over the years. The kindness of human expression and the act of showing humanly love.  ❝ Forgive me. . things like this is odd to me. .but necessary I presume? ❞ 

                   The youth was quick to move into the hug, having learned so much more from either his aunts or the accumulation of his friends. Closing his eyes, Riku smiled for what seemed like a very long time. As if he was a kid again, but this time, with the only thing he craved. Now all he needed was a big bear hug from his mother, and his entire year would have been perfect. He should have let go a long time ago, figuratively and emotionally, but he just couldn’t seem to do either one.  ❛ No. . it’s okay. . it was odd to me too in the past. . but then my friends did it so much. . .well it’s second nature to me now. .❜  Aqua eyes reopened as he slowly, regrettably, let his father go. He wasn’t a child anymore, and dare say, shouldn’t have been allowed to even do that much. Considering, he was told it may hinder his conditioning, and that of his father’s too.                      Riku urged his feelings to be pushed into the back of his mind, as he felt it wasn’t simply enough time to enjoy his father’s company. To simply listen to all the wisdom the man had to offer him, to hell even do typical things like play sports at the park. The younger silver knew such things were human acts, humanly activities that should be done by the likes of them. Yet, it still were things that he yearned for, given that he’s never had the chance to even be in their presence for more than an hour. Pushing that all into the back of his conscience, he finally spoke,  ❛ Father. . I have some questions to ask you. .and I know you’re a busy man. . so I’ll make them quick. . ❜  

                    Attention now fully on the much taller man before him. All sense of childlike spoiling now gone, hidden away as if there was a click of a button.  ❛ Vanitas Vaniti has offered a deal with me, involving exchanging dangerous poisons for upgrades. . I insistently denied his offers, but he insisted that I spoke to you about it. . To possibly rethink my prior judgments. . I ask you, should something like that be allowed. . Am I allowed to even do that. . without well. . you know who, knowing. .? ❜
