one of my favorite twitter accounts that is defunct now is it was this account called like Crazy Optical Illusions or something and they would just post popular optical illusions but edit them so they werent optical illusions anymore and they would just pretend and people would be very confused / angry in the comments

I love the early super super experimental industrial music but I also really adore how many of the OG artists would go on to get really dancey and not even in like… a heavy rock way. I love Cabaret Voltaire going from Red Mecca to Micro-Phonies and I love Throbbing Gristle transforming into Psychic TV I love that SPK put out both Auto-Da-Fé and Machine Age Voodoo I love that Severed Heads made both City Slab Horror and Rotund for Success … I obviously get the later iterations of these artists may not be everyone’s thing but I think there’s something so playful and magical about flitting between these genuinely horrific sounds like the stuff of straight up nightmares and then creating something with the same technical prowess and experimentation but for made for losing yourself on the dancefloor in pure ecstasy.

Geological horror. You find a geode and crack it open and the crystal lining its walls is human blood that can't be genetically matched to anyone. You find a human skeleton but every one of the bones is made from rock, a rock that you know can't be whittled into those shapes. You find layers of clay and loam that sport ancient fossils at the top and the still-rotting corpses of modern animals at the bottom.
