her fan base will get tired of paying $42 for a bottle of rose and $12 for 12 teabags...they will eventually return to their Boone's farm wine and Lipton teabags, and she will then be without a sales base... people wake up to being taken, it may take time, but they DO wake up....

I think I am slowly understanding her business model. She looks around for products that fit her 'brand image' (I think she really enjoys this ... she has always enjoyed online shopping), has a smallish amount produced with her homemade labelling, adds a massive mark-up for selling price, and then sells online through a packaging company. She needs minimal staff because she finds the products online and makes the deals herself, usually with a few emails. (Her business model is not going to work if she makes too many or significant changes to the product she is buying for reselling, so none of her products are bespoke ... except maybe the wine, which she would want for stocking her own wine cellar.)

My conclusion is that she is not going to become a self-made billionaire because she is not selling enough product for that. But, she does have a loyal fan base who will buy whatever she is selling. The handwritten note with the parcel, the images, and videos and stories provided via social media are all aimed at this fan base. They do not care about the quality of the product or even that it is so expensive. A jar of runny fruit preserve delivered to them with a handwritten note from their idol makes them feel special.

So how much is she making, and is it enough to save her from bankruptcy in the future? And, most importantly, is there life for the brand after flower sprinkles?! I have been trying to work out some numbers but am making far too many assumptions to get an accurate answer. To independently support herself (or to become multiple properties, private jet and yacht wealthy) she needs a huge after tax annual income, which I do not think the brand is giving her. Luckily she still has Harry's money, so As Ever can be mainly an ego project!

Has anyone done some reasonably accurate calculations of how much pocket money this project is giving her? And do you think she realizes that As Ever will not grow beyond that, using the present business model and modus operandi?

Meghan's business model is dropshipping. She's just hiding it behind PR and fancy packaging, but that's essentially what she's doing - selling products she doesn't physically have but has to get direct from the manufacturer each time she holds a sale.

And of course she isn't going to be a billionaire with this, but she's definitely making some money because we know she's upcharging the tea three times over. The rest of it, there's far too many assumptions like you found, but we can safely say that based on the expenses we know the Sussexes have - mortgage and utilities (and water ain't cheap in California), lawyer and private security costs, Archewell and household staffs, the kids' schooling, the Disney trip - they're spending a hell of a lot more money than they're bringing in.

The only reason As Ever is profitable now is because of the brand's affiliation with Netflix, who does most of the heavy lift for Meghan. She's using their suppliers after all. Netflix is lending her their reputation to do this with/for, since Harry's so uninterested he abandoned ship. And because Netflix is doing more for Meghan than Meghan does for Meghan, I'm expecting a lot of it to crash and burn when the Netflix contract ends, which Meghan will hide behind her umpteenth rebrand relaunch.

Also, just want to make it clear - the Sussexes don't have private jets and private yachts now, so it's not something Meghan will/would have on her own. What the Sussexes actually do is mooch off friends to use their private planes and/or they have what's called fractional jet ownership (which is essentially like a timeshare or a co-op for private planes and includes programs like NetJets, which is like an uber but for planes).

WHY does anybody even want, or try, to be close to Markle? there's been enough publicised about her that even selling your soul to the devil to do business with her or try and benefit from her in any way is just asking for whatever she dishes out to you...you were warned and decided to proceed with her anyway, more fool you....

sorry to say, but I found the L.A. natural history museum somewhat unimpressive when I visited in the 90s when i was living in L.A....I DID grow up visiting the Natural History Museum in NYC so I realise that probably skewed my expections....there is just no comparison between the two....

Which is part of the massive problem - they both (but Meghan especially) expect instant, immediate through-the-roof excellent results and when they don’t see that, they immediately rebrand and relaunch.

True rebrands take, and need, a lot of time. It also requires a lot of publicity, patience, testing, and marketing. We’re talking something like months, maybe even as much as one or two years, for a rebrand to be effective and profitable. Thats not time or money the Sussexes neither have, nor want to spend.

So they constantly rebrand, looking for lightning to strike. But the thing is, lightning never strikes twice and they’re wasting it on opportunities that have been done over and over and over again.

Her kitchen is vile, dark and hideously dated. I bet it has a smell you can’t identify or locate. If she were as wealthy as she claims, that house would have been gutted faster than you can say Architectural Digest. Mind you, she has zero taste and class so maybe she actually likes it.

I don't think it's Kate's figure that has changed, but it's the fullness of the dress in the bosom area above the gathered midsection...that area seems to blouse out, so unless she was a 36DD, there's no way that excess fabric would be filled out and I don't think it's meant to be a close to the body profile anyway...the dress, below the gathered waist, has several pleats which make the skirt a little fuller, and imho to balance out the slightly fuller skirt the bodice is a little fuller to match...it would look odd if the bodice was form fitting, than the fullness of the gathered midsection, and then the slightly fuller skirt-- the balance overall would be uneven...I'm a seamstress from way back and have sewn dozens of garments for other women, and these are the clothing elements you need to be aware of so it all turns out looking right...

When Kate rewore her black-and-white, polka dot, Alessandra Rich dress last week, was it really the same size as the one she wore almost two years ago on Garter day?

remind them to wear sun block....don't eat anything heavy or spicy (i.e. tacos? chili?) before they go on the loop-de-loop rides...go to the bathroom before they get on any of the big rides...go to the bathroom after they've been on the big rides...and oh yes...have a blast and take lots of pictures/videos to send you!!!

Soooo. I am in such a joyful state. All my loved ones are today at Walt Disney World. What a journey it was for them to all get there. This is day one in the parks and I am over the moon for them to have fun. I have actually been praying if that makes sense to anyone but me. Please send good thoughts if you would. Steve, for those who know who he is, is with them and this was gigantic journey for him to be there.
