If passed, faculty and staff at state colleges and universities would be allowed to have a gun on campus, as long as they have a concealed carry license.

Money quote from a student who wouldn't be able to carry under this law because it is only for faculty and staff -- "I think it's a good idea. I mean second amendment right. Like you have the right to have weapons and for those who do it legally and have a concealed and carry then ya people are crazy,"said UCA student Devin Dishner. 

EVERY SINGLE CAMPUS IN THE STATE HAS OPTED OUT. This law would remove the power for campuses to opt out of the law.

Five Reasons to Vote Out Arkansas Rep Tom Cotton   

1. He gives hypocrisy a new name.

He is the sole sponsor of the bill H.R. 2239: Stop Court-Packing Act. The purpose of this bill is to stop President Obama from “Packing” the  U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. The hypocrisy here is that the court in question is literally “Packed” with Republicans and this bill’s actual purpose is to keep the court “Packed.”

2. He isn’t a fan of protecting assault victims.

Voted against Violence Against Women Act.

3. He stands against his own constituents.

4. He believes in “blood guilt.”

He wanted to automatically punish anyone who violated US Sanctions with Iran with no judge, jury, trial or court. As bad as that is, he didn’t stop there. He also believes that we should equally punish the spouse, children, parents, cousins, ect of said supposed “Criminal.”

5. He isn’t homophobic but…

He fully supports DOMA and believes marriage should be between a man and a woman and this belief should be governmentally enforced.

My first voting experience ended in the election of a bunch of fucking morons. People that will run not only Arkansas, but our entire nation, into the ground. I can’t tell you how discouraged I am by this. It makes me want to leave my state and go somewhere else. I love Arkansas but I cannot live in a state that doesn’t represent any of my ideals. Today is a sad, sad day.

Election Day just ended in Arkansas and honestly it was the most ridiculous thing because we had three different candidates whose entire campaigns were just essentially them trying to prove who hated Obama more and I have never seen anything more petty and childish than three grown men running for office and spending tons of money on ads that consisted mostly of “my opponent is bad because he likes Obama” “no no I actually hate him” “oh yeah well I hate him more”
