In response to the 15-year old that stabbed another youth on the weekend in Durham.

This is a complex issue and cannot be looked at just on the surface...There are conflict resolution training that should be mandatory in schools and certification courses taken by all teachers, parents, students, coaches and every child at all ages to reduce bullying, suicide due to bulling, murder due to bullying and much much more...It's time for action and not lip service. If there is mental illness involved they can still benefit from conflict resolution training that is age appropriate before they turn violent. Violence is never the answer. Politicians, I call you to act and the justice system needs to take mitigating circumstances into account. This cannot just be another child attempting murder on another for no reason. Dig deep for the reasons and get the right help for both children.
