IN...UNDER.
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
“In…under”
First, presence, then protection. We choose the dwelling, God provides His shadow. It is the safest place to be, giving balance in times of world instability and insecurity.
This week, for your stability, go to your secret place and find His shadow.

GLORY...ESTABLISH.
Psalm 90: 17.
“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.”
The words “beauty” (pleasantness, splendor grace) and “establish” (prepare, make firm, direct) are connected. What is established will be infused with God’s beauty.
This week, live the two.

THE MINISTRY OF WORDS.
Ephesians 4:29.
“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.”
The ministry of words…a non-stop flow. Either rotten/worthless* words or words that impart grace. Either the old you speaking, or the new. Both are possible.
*Strong’s concordance.
This week, listen to your flow of words.

RETURN.
Hosea 6:1.
"Come, and let us return to the LORD; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up."
God’s readiness to restore is predicated by our return. We move, He moves.
This week, what does your return entail for His healing to happen?

HIS WAYS.
‘Psalm 103:7.
“God made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.”
‘Ways of God’ is the foundation for understanding the ‘acts of God’. Over-emphasizing God’s acts is a reflection of not understanding His ways. This deprives us of understanding His purposes.
This week, ask God to make known His ways and purposes for your situation.

MADE ALIVE...WERE DEAD.
Ephesians 2:1.
“And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sin…”
alive…dead.
At the cross mercy is revealed, and fallen humanity is restored. Consequently authenticating humanity alive to have full fellowship with God…if all that was dead is dead indeed?
This week, live alive by dying to all that is death in you.

SEE GOD
Psalm 86:15.
“But you, O Lord are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in mercy and truth.”
This is how David saw God and encountered Him during a time of personal turmoil that seemed insurmountable. Meditating on these divine attributes brings David back to a place of peace…for this is who God is.
This week, see God as David saw God.

Psalm 84:5b,6.
Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, (weeping) they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with blessings.”
Valleys are part of our pilgrimage; they are inevitable. Valleys challenge our spirits, steal our joy and cloud our vision. Yet our valley, with God, becomes a place of refreshment and hope.
This week in your valley, see God.

MADE US SIT.
Ephesians 2: 5b 6.
“Made us alive together with Christ…and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
Made us sit.
Take a seat and sit in this heavenly place. It is your spiritual reality though you live on earth. It is your place of privilege, power, and purpose that gives you identity and authority.
This week live there as you live here.

NICK OF TIME.
2 Corinthians 6:2.
“God reminds us, I heard your call in the nick of time; The day you needed me, I was there to help.” MSG.
“The nick of time.”
God’s appointed time is always on time. There is a spilt-second between despair and deliverance…in the nick of time God’s help comes.
This week while waiting for your nick of time, know it often comes in unexpected ways.

LEADERSHIP.
Psalm 78:72.
“So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.”
Heart…hand.
Sincere in what he planned…prudent in what he performed.
David’s 33 years reign united Israel, expanded its borders, captured Jerusalem, and ended with a peaceable transfer reign to Solomon.
However his sexual failure with Bethsheba blotted his otherwise outstanding reign. Though he wept bitterly afterwards, the stain is part of his legacy.
This week, be alert that your leadership is not stained by sexual sin.

SOLITARY.
Mark 1:35.
“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and went out to a solitary place to pray.”
Jesus' inside-out rhythm of life. Solitude - the pivot point of ‘being’ before ‘doing’. It is intentional. A pattern to live by. Without ‘being’, we are living without God…even as a believer.
Where is your solitary place?

THE HAND OF THE LORD.
Ezekiel 37:1.
“The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.”
“The hand of the LORD.”
That hand comes upon us at certain times to give us vision. It is a sovereign moment, energized by the Spirit. The vision concerns the movements of God. Ezekiel was invited in…and so are we.
For Ezekiel, it was to speak life into dead situations.
This week, what are your dead situations? Look for your Holy Spirit moment…the hand of the Lord.

NOT GIVEN.
2 Timothy 1:7.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Fear is the currency of the world, propagated by the god of this world…to confuse our minds. Creator God gives us a sound mind that stabilizes our inner world to counter the fear-producing outer world.
This week, through sound thinking, make wise decisions.

STRIVE.
Hebrews 12:14.
“Strive for peace with everyone, as well as holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”
Two fold focus: how we live every day on earth, (word and action) that can be seen…peace; how we live in the inner recesses of ourself that only God sees…holiness. How we live in the one (peace) is a reflection of how we’re living in the other (holiness). Only then will the Lord be seen.
This week, strive.

INNER REALITY.
Luke 15: 17.
“But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!”
“he came to himself.”
The way up is down. A Jew among pigs. His circumstance bringing inner reality.
This week, if in desperate circumstances, review your decisions.

WEAPONS.
2 Corinthians 10:4.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the tearing down of strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
The weapons are for the battle of the mind. Our thoughts define us and determine the decisions we make. Wrong thinking is where we all begin…but not where we end.
To change our thinking, we must use our weapons.
This week, identify your battle and win your warfare.
