==four years later==
“Mommy!” You looked down at the little guy pulling at your dress. Giggling as you bent over to carry him into your arms. “That was the first time you called me mommy Haru, buuuut did you brush your teeth and wash your face?” The little boy smiled as he showed you his teeth with pride. “Squeaky cwean just like you showed me!” Mesmerized by the little one’s cuteness you squashed him in between your arms while embellishing him in kisses. “You’re too cuuuuute I can’t. Ugh…and your cute little teddy sweater…did you put that on all by yourself?” The little boy jumped down from your arms, twirling around as he placed both his hands on the side of his body. “Hehe, Papa has been showing me how to put my clothes on! Haru did good?”
You laugh as you notice the pants were on backwards but how can you tell him when he was so proud. “Very good but let’s fix your pants or Papa will make fun of you! Also we have to go pick up Papa and your uncle. So why don’t you put on those shoes and grab your bag?” Haru gifts you with a big smile as he runs towards the living room grabbing his bag you had put together and putting his shoes on. “Don’t forget your hat and Kiko.” Haru looks up at you as he runs into your bedroom grabbing his stuffed frog and yellow hat, running back to your side eagerly grabbing your hands as you open the door to your home.
“Haru!” You looked at Suguru and Satoru as Haru ran up to Suguru. “Papa! I missed you.” You smiled as Satoru ran to you, placing a kiss on your lips. “And I missed you.” Suguru rolls his eyes as Riko grabs Haru’s bag from your hand. “Thank you for watching him, while we were both gone.” You smiled at Rika handing her Haru’s Kiko. “Anytime, Don’t get mad but he picked up a habit while you were gone.” Rika laughed as she gave Haru a kiss on the forehead, “Is he calling you mommy too?”
“Too? Ugh Now I am heartbroken. Who can he possibly be calling Mommy other than me?” Rika laughed at your remark, “Shoko, Nobara, Yuji and even Megumi.” You let out a fake sob, “Not Megumi and Yuji. Haru here I thought I was special.” Haru laughs as he pulls on your skirt signaling you to get down. Following little Haru’s orders you bent down to his level where he placed a kiss on your cheek giggling as he ran behind Suguru. “You are special. Because I am going to marry you when I’m older. And I only call those who I love mommy. Because I love mommy.” He said giggling into his hands. His innocence makes you want to smother him in thousands of kisses. Wishing that if you were to have a kid that he would be as cute as Haru.
“You little brat! You can’t marry her because she’s already my wife.” Satoru mocked as he stuck his tongue out at the little three-year-old. Laughing, you nudged Satoru. Only his childishness would take a child’s little crush seriously. “Come on Satoru I think you might lose to a kid. He even slept with me last night.” Satoru looked at the little runt as he ran towards him, picking him up and throwing him up in the air. “Why did the little monsters scare you?” He giggled as Haru pouted, “N-No I was cold! And Y/N was the one that was scawed so she asked me if I could sleep next to herw and I was feewing nice! You think just because you’re mommy’s bwothew I won’t fight you?!” Everyone laughed at Haru’s cute little spiel. You looked at Riko, the only way to save her from her destiny was to make her a part of the Gojo family. No one was able to stop Satoru from doing it, because who would dare to defy the honored one. Once she was a Gojo she was untouchable, she was safe.
“That’s right. I was scared. Give my future husband a break.” You played along while pinching Haru’s cheeks.
“Satoru holding a baby while standing next to Y/N. What a sight. When are you two gonna have one of your own? This is a sight that we can all get used to.” Shoko stated as she pulled up with her twins and Haibara. Satoru smiled at you as he kissed your cheeks right at the spot Haru had kissed even if he was a kid there was no way he'd let another man kiss his wife. “Don’t worry we will get right on it.” You shook your head laughing, digging into your purse as you pulled out an envelope. “Actually…maybe sooner than you all think.” Everyone watched as you pulled out a piece of paper from the envelope. “I’m pregnant.”
Everyone stood still in shock, you watched Satoru’s expression go from being his playful self to a more serious tone as he put Haru down. “Wait…seriously?” You nodded, still holding up the paper as he picked you up, placing a kiss on your lips. “Oh my god…am I allowed to carry you like that?” You giggled as you pulled him in for another kiss, “Of course…I’m pregnant, not made of glass.” Satoru gave you the biggest smile he has ever made all the years you’ve known him as everyone started to gather around you. “Finally. Welcome to the mom’s club!” Shoko yelled as she embraced you.
You weren’t going to lie. You were afraid. You didn’t know what it would be like being a mother with a kid that you weren’t just babysitting but you sure as hell was gonna try. If your mother did anything for you it was to teach you how a mother should not be. You smiled at your friends as they all congratulated the two of you. When you felt a sense of relief and happiness like your body was telling you that this is where you belonged. Right here at this moment. Everything you had been through was for you to be here. Looking back in your fucked up life. You knew what you weren’t going to do. You knew that even if you were afraid Satoru would be next to you. You weren’t alone anymore. You have friends you can call family now. Family that was willing to die for you. Family that will help you become the best mother you can be. And right next to you was a man that loved you more than anything in the world.

You opened the door to your hotel room, opening the door as you let Satoru inside. “Sorry everything is a mess. I didn’t think anyone would be coming over. Haha…” Satoru smiled as you laughed nervously while tossing aside some clothes you had left on the floor while getting ready to go out. He chuckled as he realized not much has changed. He recollected the moments he would visit your dorm room clothes all over your room and how you would scurry through your room trying to pick it up. Back to reality he realized how red and swollen your eyes were from crying, sighing he went straight for the bathroom, grabbing a face towel and running it under cold water. You tilted your head as you watched him. This felt like a dream to you. Being alone with him again after all these years. Satoru then leads you to the couch laying you down, placing your head on his lap as he places the towel on your eyelids in an attempt to make the swelling go down. “Thank you…Toru…for everything…”
He chuckles as he bent down to place a kiss on your forehead. He missed being able to hold you and being able to kiss you whenever he wanted. In these ten years he had only craved your touch. “I’m sorry. And I love you.” Cheeks red, you gave him a smile as you sat up kissing his cheeks. Something you had been wanting to do since you had first laid your eyes at him. Actually you wanted to wrap your arms around his neck and kiss him, kiss him so much to make up for lost time. “That’s all I get after all these years?” You giggled, it was as if he could read your mind. He smiled before gently pulling you in for a kiss. A real kiss. Your eyes widening before closing them, kissing him back. This felt right for you. It felt as if the burden of being apart these past ten years melted away the longer he kissed you. How could you ever think that the both of you were better apart.
He broke the kiss with a smile, you flinched letting out a small moan as he peppered your neck with kisses. “I missed you Princess…” Princess. He knew those words affected you in a way you couldn’t describe. You nodded, “I missed you too…Toru.” This was all the both of you had wanted. To be in each other’s arms again, it hurt the both of you a little to know it took this long for you to be alone. He gave you a gentle smile as he pushed you down laying you on your back as he gave you another long passionate kiss. His breathing got heavy as he pulled away from the kiss, placing his forehead on yours. You flinched as you felt his hands creep under your shirt to pull it over your head. “I need you…” He groaned as he peppered kisses down your body. Your head falling back as you ran your hands through his hair. You felt yourself get wetter as he got closer to your chest. His touches felt like lava. It sent a wave of pleasure throughout your body, unaware of how sensitive you were until he placed his lips on your nipples. Letting out another moan, your voice being so sweet to him that he just wanted to tease you more. This was something that the both of you had needed. To hold each other and finally be one. “Can I…?” You nodded shyly as you removed Satoru’s blindfold. “I have always loved your eyes…” He smiled as his hands started to explore the curves of your body. “I have always wanted to hold you like this…”
You quivered as you felt Satoru’s hands making its way down between your thighs as he used his tongue to play with your nipples. You placed your hand on your mouth muffling the sweet sounds coming from your lips. Satoru shuddered as he felt what your moans did to his body, frustrated that you were trying to muffle your voice, he removed your hands from your mouth and peppered kisses on your palm. With a pout he looked up at you, “I want to hear you Princess…don’t be scared to scream.” Red as a tomato you nodded as he placed your hand on his hardened member, “This is what your sounds do to me…” You moaned even more as you felt his fingers exploring the wetness in between your legs above the piece of clothing, also now wet with your juices. Wanting to hear more of your whimpers he pushed aside the piece of cloth covering your slit pushing in a finger groaning in your ear as he heard you moan covering your face embarrassed by the way he was touching you. It was tight. He took pleasure at the thought of him being the first man to touch you in so long.
He watched you squirm under him as he placed another finger in your slit. He wanted to so badly be inside you but he also wanted to savor your body. Your scent. Your voice. He felt your insides twitching around his fingers as you threw your head back in pleasure. He placed another kiss on your neck, sucking on it smiling as he saw the mark. He wanted everyone to know that only he can get these reactions out of you. He wanted the whole world to know that Yamaguchi Y/N was Gojo Satoru’s woman.
“T-Toru…I need you.” The look in his eyes changed as your lips uttered those sweet words welcoming him inside you. He smiled as he pulled his fingers out of your soaking slit, licking them as his eyes seemingly examined every curve on your naked body. Your bare chest heaving as you succumbed to the pleasure of his fingers and kisses he gave you. Not being able to hold it in any longer he placed the tip of his member in the entrance of your slit pushing it in slowly. He groaned as he felt your walls tighten its grip on his member, watching you wriggle in pleasure, your head falling back as you screamed his name. “Fuck…” He placed his head in between your chest biting your mounds trying to leave marks on you. In a way to ensure that whatever was happening now wasn’t going to disappear tomorrow morning. He wasn’t able to hold back anymore as your supple lips whimpered his name with each thrust. He wanted to hear you yell his name. He flipped you over as he placed kisses on your back, groaning and cringing each time your walls tightened with each kiss. Grabbing your hands as he fills you up with his member, hitting deeper than you were able to handle.
His thrust grew more violent as he got closer to his climax. You were lost in pleasure, unable to count how many times you had come on his member, tears forming as you were unable to take anymore. “Fuck Princess…” You whined as you flipped over his member still deep inside you as you grabbed the sides of his face with whatever energy you had left, looking deep into his azure eyes, placing a gentle kiss on his lips. So gentle it seemed so displaced with whatever was happening in this moment. “Toru…ah…I…ah… love you…” You cried in between moans. Satoru paused as he noticed the tears running down your face as he thrusted harder and deeper until he filled up your insides. Kissing the marks he had made in the heat of the moment he placed himself in your arms hugging you tightly. “Please don’t leave again…” Your eyes widened as you felt his tears touching your skin smiling as you kissed the top of his head hugging him back. “Never…not again.”

I’m crying they were just children :((
If Shoko and Gojo had noticed Geto spiralling.
Sort of a rough continuation of the previous set of drawings on what would have happened had Geto called them.

“So who’s going to go first?” You were anxious. You were about to reveal everything that had happened ten years ago and you were scared that Satoru would hate his clan. Or worse maybe even hate you for lying and running away. “I’ll go first.” You looked up at Riko who took a sip of her drink before speaking, “Satoru and I are not actually in love or engaged. The only way that we could stop my sacrifice to Tengen-sama was if the Gojo clan was supporting my decision. Also I am actually dating Suguru.” Riko let out a sigh of relief, cheeks tinted red as she said the last part of her statement. Suguru placed his hand on hers with a smile that made you so sure he was absolutely enamored with her, “You did good, baby.” You felt a rush of relief. It took everything in you to not smile. He hadn’t moved on. It was fucked up but you were happy because that would just mean that maybe after you tell him everything you can be by his side again. You looked around the table to find only Hime was shocked. Typical. Of course all three of them knew their deepest darkest secrets but left everyone else out. “Wait What?!” You slightly giggled at her slightly exaggerated reaction. Satoru watched you giggle. There it was. Your sweet innocent smile he had missed. A smile he hadn’t seen since the day you vanished.
You cleared your throat, “Okay I guess it’s my turn.” You felt everyone’s eyes suddenly focus on you. ”For my story it goes back before I had even met the three of you…As you all know my past wasn’t exactly the easiest, I have never told anyone about it. Not even Satoru, I never had the chance.” You paused as you started to feel your heart beat faster. Here you were about to talk about a part of you that you had never once told anyone or spoke to anyone about unless they already knew about it. You took a deep breath. “My mother hated me. That much you all knew when you saw the bruises and the cuts on me when we had all first met.” You paused. You never realized how painful those memories were for you until you mentioned it. Satoru watched as you bit the inside of your cheek. He knew you were stopping the tears, a habit that he knew you picked up from the abuse. “The reason she hated me so much was behind the secret of my birth. My mother’s family is a very affluent family. They had political pulls, so when they found out that their youngest daughter had gotten pregnant, unwed, they had tried their best to hide the scandalous affairs. They were quick to find her a husband to hide the fact that she was pregnant from some unknown man. Except to my mother that man wasn’t unknown. It was just someone that had been born with no status or money. Something my grandparents had required from her. She tried to run from her family but they had been one step ahead and murdered him. Losing the love of her life she took it out on me. At first she was just negligent of my needs, she never cared to pick me up or hold me as a child. Everything really just escalated when she had a child with her husband. She cared for and loved her in a way she never was able to with me.” You choked on your words. For once you realized that you were jealous. Jealous that you never received that warmth from her but it was all too late now. So why were you hurt by it?
“Her husband was never home because he just wanted to be connected to my mother’s family, for their influence on his political career, since being married to my mother he was able to become more successful. He did care for me and my sister. He would buy us toys and he would read us stories, he would give me the parental love I lacked from my mother. And he loved me because to him I was his first-born…But my mother was jealous of the attention he was giving me so in a drunken state, one night, she told everyone…including myself the truth behind my birth. Then just as she wanted all that had stopped. My father would push me away or completely ignore me when he was home. At this point I was alone, even the maids had treated me like trash since they knew my parents didn’t give a damn about me…Just like how she wanted.”
Satoru watched as you weren’t able to stop the tears any longer. “Then the abuse escalated as I got older. She would hit me,starve me, burn me,or cut me. But only in places no one would ever find, I always wore baggy clothes or long sleeves. The dresses I wore were always past my ankles. Like a doll on display they made sure I looked picture perfect. To keep their little illusion that our family was perfect, alive. I mean after all I am still a politician’s adored daughter. I mastered smiling at a crowd and waving when I had two broken ribs from a beating I received the night before. At school, my sister’s friend’s would make my life a living hell. Of course no one did anything. But all the reasons for my resentment towards her to grow. Because why was I receiving this treatment but she was always clothed in the best brands, given the best food, and was protected from harm. Wasn’t I their daughter too?” You wiped your eyes as the tears started to blur your vision. Remembering the times when she would make friends you made somehow hate you or move away. “Then I started to see things, curses. Created from my mother’s hatred towards me, my father and sister’s indifference to my treatment and the way everyone around me treated me. It manifested into something that was killing those around us. I was able to see them and I tried to protect them…but instead they blamed me and wanted me gone. Dead.”
Satoru’s heart sank. He can only imagine how you felt knowing that the people who earned a God-given right to love someone as precious as you wanted you dead. He clenched his fist, he thought how right you were not to tell him about this when he was younger because he knew he would’ve killed them for even thinking about killing you. He didn’t understand why they were unable to find the need to protect your sweet innocent smile he fell for. “So they heard of the sorcerers, called them to come and exorcize me, I suppose. That’s when I met Principal Yaga. Everyone around me had harbored such great hatred for me that the curse they had manifested was a special-grade.” You laughed, pain being so apparent in it. You began to sob as you remembered the fear you felt that night. At sixteen you were sitting on the floor of your childhood home’s basement. Looking up at the man towering over you as his gaze softened realizing that you weren’t the threat. You remembered trembling but quietly accepting your fate. To die in his hands. You remembered just as clearly as Principal Yaga did, the look of defeat on your face. You had already gone through so much, so as an act of kindness he brought you to his world. You had always remembered to thank him for his decision that day. You recalled that for the first time in the past ten years you endured your abuse, you cried. You sobbed uncontrollably as he picked you up and coddled you like you were his own child. You remembered asking yourself that maybe if your father had lived you would know the warm embrace of a parent’s unconditional love. You held your hands to your mouth to muffle the whimpers you let out between your sobs. Too busy muffling your sobs you hadn’t realized that Satoru was now sitting next to you.
“I…I remembered how he looked at me that day. But I also thought that was it. I was going to die finally. I did think about how I can fight it. But why? Next thing I knew the curse started to attack the Principal and I didn’t want anyone else to die so with the little energy I had left I activated my curse and saved him. That was when he decided to protect me. To save me. For my family they aren’t dead but they did hand me over to Principal Yaga...willingly. They told everyone they knew that I had died from an illness and so now I live in the shadows as a long-lost relative of the Yamaguchi clan.”
You paused as you looked up at Satoru who is now where Suguru had been. He had a pained expression painted on his face. You were embarrassed now that he knew your pathetic past. “I was born as a curse.” Satoru’s face cringed as he felt the pain of you calling yourself a curse. Because to him you were a blessing, a blessing bestowed to him by the gods. Because he alone was the honored one and he strongly believes you are his greatest gift. “Something who reminded my mother of the love she lost. I never thought I deserved love until I met you. But the Gojo clan…they heard about us. Our ‘great’ love story they called it. So they looked into my birth and looked into my past. They were able to find out about the history behind my birth father. And they told me that for you I wasn’t good enough. They said that if you were to become the strongest I would have to let you go.That my past would only hold you back…that the same way I held back my mother, who was now thriving now that I was gone.” You sniffled, looking back on the pain of seeing your family happily on tv. Smiles that reached their ears. Something they had never been able to do when you were in their life. Recollecting your thoughts about their lives being better off if you hadn’t been born. “Seeing that they were right, my family had been better since I had left. Because I was their curse. I thought about how I was affecting you all. Both of you almost dying and Shoko almost losing Haibara…all those would never have happened if I hadn’t showed up. That’s what I thought…so they forced me to make a decision. That I leave while you were unconscious or I stay and you no longer become part of the clan.” You bit your lip as you remembered looking to Principal Yaga for help. You looked at him to defend you, to protect you as he did when he saved you from your family. Your heart shattered as he averted your gaze and agreed with the elders. And once again you remembered that you were alone. In this world there is just Y/N, everyone’s adoration will fade in time even if they state how much you mean the world to them because if they found out about your history they will hate you just as much or maybe even more than your mother did. And that was something you wouldn’t be able to handle. To watch Satoru lose interest in you. To find him resenting you for making him choose between being a Gojo or being with you.
“I didn’t want you to resent me for taking what you thought made you so great. So I left for Kyoto, where I made sure there was a wall between where I stood and where everyone else stood. All I wanted was the best for you. For all of you.” You said while flailing your arms as you sobbed harder. You felt Satoru pull you gently into his arms. A warmth you have always craved and missed. “I’m sorry…” Satoru heard how defeated you were. He can only imagine the agony you had felt when you decided to carry the burden of leaving him. He patted your head and you sobbed into his arms as if you were a child again. “I’m sorry…Y/N…all this time I resented you when I should’ve been there to protect you.”
“Those fuck-ass geezers. They picked at her weakness. Played her trauma so that she would leave you willingly. I should’ve known something was off…I’m going to kill those fuckers.” Suguru stated as he watched his two best friends torn apart by a generation that cared nothing more than who was gonna stay on top. Cared more about the past that they completely neglected the youth with their dumb ambitions. “And I knew everything…I didn’t say anything because it wasn’t my place but if I had stepped in and told you…” You shook your head as you walked up to Shoko hugging her. “No…I know now that we weren’t at fault. It was the adults who exploited our feelings and emotions. So don’t apologize!” Shoko cried harder as she saw you plaster that smile that always felt like home to her.

“Where’s Y/N?” Satoru glared at Suguru as he sat up from the hospital bed. “Satoru…just focus on getting better and we can talk about it when you get better.” Satoru looked around to find that Riko was in the corner of the room with her eyes closed. He sighed a bit in relief, he was glad that he was able to complete his personal mission of saving Riko from becoming Tengen’s sacrifice. He knew that there was going to be a fight with the elders of the clans and maybe even a fight with Tengen. But if she was born to be a sacrifice doesn’t that mean they can just choose someone else? “So you’re finally awake?” Satoru nodded as he winced a little in pain. “And you’re still alive?” She chuckled a little bit, “Thanks to you and Geto…”
“And Y/N. Where is she anyways?” Suguru sighed as he grabbed Riko. He has to tell him. He wanted to wait until he was a little better but he was going to find out eventually. Might as well find out now so he can't do anything since he doesn't have the energy left to do anything, “Riko why don’t you go wait outside? I need to talk to Satoru alone.” She nodded as she left the room leaving an awkward silence between Satoru and Suguru. All that could be heard was Suguru shutting the door behind Riko. The silence made Satoru nervous, he felt his heart beating faster. Trying to remember in what condition she was in before he came into the room to help fight Toji. He couldn't remember. His head had sent him into the worst place possible. She has to be okay. “You’re scaring me.” Suguru sat down on the chair by his bed and took a deep breath, “She’s gone…” Satoru’s whole world stopped as he felt a mix of rage and grief take over his body, “No…She was–”
“No, she left. She’s not dead. She left.” Suguru had forgotten for a second that Satoru hadn't seen her yet since the fight with Toji of course he would think she was dead. Satoru laughed away the anxiety that filled his body, “She’s okay then… when is she coming back?” He watched Suguru’s stoic face, “She’s…I don’t think she is.” Satoru laughed thinking that it was a joke and Y/N would rush through the door crying and hugging him because she thought he had died but he waited and no one bursted through the doors. “What are you…”
“After Shoko healed her she was summoned by Principal Yaga and then she started packing for a mission. But she packed all her stuff that meant something to her…things she wouldn’t normally bring with her because she was afraid to lose it.” Satoru was shocked; he sat there in silence trying to put things together. Trying to figure out why you would leave so suddenly with no explanation. Why you wouldn’t even wait till he woke up, if not to say goodbye but to at least tell him why you were suddenly leaving. “Get out.” Suguru nodded as he quietly got up from the chair. He knew what Satoru needed right now wasn't a friend but to be left alone.
Weeks have passed since you left the school. There was no news of you anywhere. It was as though you had vanished into thin air. Satoru did his own investigation trying to find some reason behind your decision. But the only thing he had heard happened before you left was that his clan and Yaga had talked to you after the Riko assignment. “Satoru, are you listening?” He shook his head, “Sorry. I was trying to ignore the bullshit coming out of your mouth.” He watched as a representative of the Zen’in clan scoffed at his remark. “You know your hubris will be your downfall, Riko is a sacrifice to strengthen Tengen-sama that's what she was born for so she has to be sacrificed.” Satoru, distinctly pissed off at the remark of the elder, got up and laughed maniacally in his face. He tried everything within him to not kill him. He was weak. A simple punch was all it took for Satoru but he didn't because all he can hear in the back of his head was your voice asking him if it would be worth it. After calming down a little he glared at the elder, “She’s a child, she has the right to choose whether she wants to live or not.”
“Really funny coming from a kid himself, did you fall in love with her or something?” Satoru scoffed pausing before he replied to the question. The only way he can think of right now to save Riko and to keep her from being sacrificed was keeping her by his side. “That’s right… and if you touch her you’d have to go through me and through the Gojo clan. Is that a battle you’re willing to fight?” Flabbergasted, the elder couldn’t say anything back. Satoru turned his head to the head of the Gojo clan. He was quiet and he sat there with his eyes closed listening to the conversation unfold. He suddenly opened his eyes looking straight into Satoru’s eyes. He meant it as a way to intimidate his clearly superior grandson but he didn't flinch. Dissatisfied he turned to the Zen'in elder who flinched at his gaze, “If my grandson is so sure of the way he feels about the young girl and she agrees to marry him then that makes her family. Which means you can’t touch her unless you have a death wish.”
“Tsk.” The Zen'in elder scoffed as he got up and left the room. Satoru won this fight but now he has to somehow explain to Riko that until he finds a way to stop them from coming after her as a sacrifice they are bound together. He watched as the head of the clan smirked. He knew Satoru was lying. But he didn’t care if it meant he could have him forget about that low-born sorcerer he had fallen for.
“Riko…what are you doing here?” Satoru asked as he glimpsed back at him to watch you walking away. Fuck. “The clan told me that the school was attacked and I had to make sure that you guys were okay…how’s Suguru?” Satoru sighed, “He’s fine. But now I am in a pickle because of what just happened.” Riko looked down at her shoes,”Sorry…I didn’t know who could be watching and it would just look weird if I didn’t run up to you like that…don’t you think you can explain everything to Y/N?” Satoru sighed as she ran towards Suguru. “I hope so…”
It's been a week since the incident but for some reason you were all still in Tokyo. You have been trying to avoid Satoru especially now that you knew that he was in an approved relationship with Riko. Your heart would hurt every time you thought about what made Riko good enough for Satoru but somehow to his clan you were an eyesore. Avoiding them was a little harder than you had originally thought because apparently Riko was a teacher at the high school too. And for some weird reason she had been looking for you everywhere. But you weren’t ready to meet them. Just thinking about Satoru holding her in his arms made your stomach turn. Afraid that when you would somehow run into him or into Riko you would burst into tears you decided to lock yourself in a hotel room you had gotten for yourself for three days. You spent most of those days crying or watching tv while crying or eating while crying. Whatever it was you were doing you were doing it while crying. You took a look in the mirror in the bathroom. Your eyes were red and poofy. Sighing, you washed your face with cold water wiping it dry with a clean towel from the rack in the bathroom before checking your phone; thirty-five missed calls from Hime and hundreds of texts all from just today. She was worried, after all you did what you did best when handed a difficult situation. You ran. You flopped yourself onto your bed groaning into the pillow. “Ahhhh…Why are you so stupid? Of course he was gonna move on, it's been a decade.” You sat up sighing as you dialed Hime’s number before placing the phone on your ear.
“Oh my god! You’re alive! Where are you?” You sighed, “Hime I’m fine…I’m at a hotel. I needed to uh…unwind?” You heard her laugh from the other end of the phone, “Was that a question or?” You sighed again, “I’m not sure but meet me at X Cafe in like half an hour.” Before hearing a reply you hung up, throwing yourself off the bed and back into the bathroom. You put some makeup on to hide the redness around your eyes, you didn’t want her asking any questions because you were supposed to no longer be in love with Gojo Satoru. So why should seeing him with another girl hurt you as much as it did now. You knew he wasn’t gonna be in love with you forever. Feelings fade, especially love, you knew that.
You walked to the cafe. You wanted to enjoy the Tokyo scenery before you went back to Kyoto. You didn’t want to admit it but you missed the way the streets are always bustling with people. It reminded you of the days when Satoru was afraid of losing you in the crowd and he would hold your hand and put it in his pocket. You remembered the first time he had done this the both of you weren’t dating yet and you were so sure it was the first time you felt your heart skip a beat. You laughed because you recollected the conversation with Shoko that ensued after that, you were so certain that you had caught a disease of some sort. “Arrived at your destination, X Cafe.” You paused as you turned your head to the left. You tried looking in from the outside to try and see if Hime had arrived but the windows were tinted a dark color which made it a little difficult so you just pulled the door open.
“Y/N!” You turned your head to the left of the restaurant and smiled waving as you walked towards one of the tables by the window of the cafe. You faltered as you suddenly became aware that she wasn’t alone. Fuck. Sitting at the same table as her was the trio and Riko. You glared at Hime who averted your gaze, “Hime…I see you brought other friends.” Hime laughed nervously, ‘Ha...Ha…Did I not mention this in any of my ten thousand messages.” You sighed because she probably had but you didn't bother reading the text messages. Satoru clearly saw the anger written on your face. He knew there was no way you wanted to see him. I mean he confessed to you while being in a ‘relationship’ he knew that his actions may have seemed unfair to you. “We really just needed to explain the situation to you since you kept avoiding us and we couldn't get a hold of you...” You nodded as you took a seat next to Suguru.
“Okay I’m here now…let’s talk. I have a lot I also need to tell you. And I honestly thought that I would have a little more time to gather my thoughts but since I’m ambushed I’ll have to wing it.” Satoru nodded, “Okay fair enough…to move past whatever happened between us ten years ago we need to talk about it.” You agreed as you looked down at the drink in front of you and took a sip. Satoru watched you drink the tea and he smiled, “I’m glad I still know your preferences.” You felt your cheeks burn red. Damn it.

In a desperate attempt to protect Shoko you had found the nearest thing you can outside of the pavilion and swapped out their position using whatever time was left to make sure that you weren’t crushed by the roof caving in. In a slight second, you saw a piece of shrapnel positioned in a way that it would pierce a vital organ. You focused your technique to protect it. A technique that you had mastered while fighting overseas. Fuck. It still hurt as it tore through your skin. You held your technique, protecting the organ and keeping the rubble from caving in all while bleeding out, keeping yourself awake. Fuck. You were slowly going unconscious but you tried your best to stay awake because as soon as you closed your eyes, your technique would be released and you were unaware of how long it was going to be before anyone was going to rescue you. Fuck. “Sa..Satoru…” You let out in desperation followed by a cough of blood. Shit. But you knew no one was able to hear you. How long has it been? You were only sure of one thing. It felt like forever. You were unable to concentrate on what was going on outside. One unfocused second and you were dead, you knew that.
You smiled as you thought about dying. You chuckled to yourself a little, closing your eyes for a second since they were starting to feel heavy. You just wanted one thing before dying and it was seeing Satoru’s face again. You just wanted an opportunity to tell him how much you loved him. You imagined his face until suddenly you felt the pressure of the rubble subside. You opened your eyes weakly smiling as you saw Satoru’s horrified expression,“T-Toru…I–” You coughed up some blood. You felt relief taking over your body as you released the technique that held the rubble up. “I’ve got you princess…I always got you…” You slowly close your eyes as you know that once you release the technique protecting your organ Shoko has seconds before you bleed out. You took one last breath in before closing your eyes. It’s all up to you now.
You slowly opened your eyes looking around at your surroundings. You were in a makeshift tent for ones who were injured during the attack. “Y/N! You’re awake!” You sat up wincing at the pain radiating from the right side of your abdomen. You placed your hand where the shrapnel had been. It was gone and you were no longer in critical condition but it was still slightly bleeding. “Sorry, I used up what I could to stop the bleeding but I needed to reserve more energy into healing whoever else was hurt. After I get some rest–”
“Shoko, I need to fight.” Shoko glared at you, “ABSOLUTELY NOT.” You were startled by her sudden change of tone. She had never once raised her voice at you. No matter how stupid the things you were planning, she always handled everything with a cool attitude. “Please…my students…” Shoko let out a deep sigh as her eyes teared up, “Y/N…Satoru and Suguru they got it…okay? And besides we got promising students this year…they’ll be fine. So please…don’t die.” You looked down at your fingertips as you watched tears streaming down her face. You patted her head with a gentle smile, “Okay…sorry. Why don’t I help you dress wounds until you can heal them.” Shoko sighed as she used whatever was left of her energy to heal your wound so you can help her.
Hours passed and the tent was full of students who have reached their limit in fighting the special-grade curses that had attacked the school. You sat next to one of the kids who watched as his friends were being treated. “We almost had him Sensei…and now look at Megumi and Nobara…they fought so hard and I couldn't even–” You smiled at the pink-haired kid pointing at a black-haired boy and the brown-haired girl, who had an uncanny resemblance to Shoko in her younger days, next him who was unconscious laying on their beds, currently being treated by Shoko, “You’re Yuuji right?” You interrupted as he nodded, “Listen, you’re only a kid. A new sorcerer at that…no one expects you to know the hows of being a sorcerer yet but you held out pretty well until an adult, who by the way has more experience than you, came. And your friends, they're in good hands…Shoko is the best there is.” You watched as he slowly wept. You remembered that feeling of facing a special-grade and watching as your friends nearly lose their life. You delicately placed a hand on his head, patting it, “You did well Yuuji…Why don’t you get some rest?”
“Sensei…thank you.” You giggle as he gets up with a slight blush. You watched as he sat on a chair in between his friends. He was adamant in waiting until they had woken up before he could rest. The dedication the three of them had reminded you of the bond that Suguru, Satoru and Shoko had. Suddenly you were filled with the need to protect the three of them. From anyone and anything that threatens their peace. Just as you did 10 years ago. Lost in thought you didn’t notice that Shoko had sat down next to you. “The black-haired kid is Satoru’s kid, you know?” You tilted your head in confusion, doing the math in your head that the kid was way too old to be Satoru’s kid even if he had him at fourteen. Shoko laughed as she saw the confusion on your face.
“I don’t know if you remember the Riko case…” You nodded, “The assassin that was after her… he had a kid he wanted to protect from the Zen’in clan. He told Satoru about him before he passed and he protected him…and has been like a father to him since.” You looked down playing with your hands as you fell into deep thought. Satoru had changed from the arrogant and selfish man into someone who will watch someone’s kid after he had put him through a near death experience. Especially since that someone had nearly pushed Suguru into a dark place if you hadn’t helped buy time for Satoru to heal himself and save the three of you. Sometimes you had always wondered how different life would be for all of you if Satoru hadn’t gotten there in time to save the three of you. But he did so there was no point in dwelling in the past.
“Hello…?” Your train of thought broke as you noticed someone had been waving their hand in front of you. You looked up to see it was Satoru, your eyes meeting those beautiful cursed eyes. You felt a sudden relief to see that he was only covered in scratches and dirt, nothing life-threatening. “Woah why are you crying?”
“Huh?” You finally noticed the blurred vision as the tears dropped down your cheeks. You weren’t even aware that you had been crying since the moment you met his eyes. Embarrassed, you started to wipe them off but they continued to fall. “Th…This is weird…why am I crying suddenly?” Satoru gave you a tender look as he lifted you up from your seat and pulled you into a hug. “I’m okay princess…” You were shocked by the sudden change in his demeanor towards you but you started to cry harder as you hugged him tighter, digging your face deeper into his arms, “I guess I am just happy that you are okay…I wasn’t sure if you were going to be…and I…I” Your tiny whimpers turning into sobs as he affectionately patted your head, “Shh…It’s okay…I’m okay why don’t you just take a deep breath.” You nod as you take a step back and take three deep breaths to calm your nerves down.
You weren’t ever this emotional until after you had thought you lost Satoru. You remember seeing red until he had walked in pulling your asses out of a deep battle with Toji. “I’m sorry…” Satoru shook his head, “There is nothing to be sorry about…I’m just glad that you’re okay and you were able to save Shoko and help her with the people here.” You smiled as you looked around, “I made the right choice then…prioritizing Shoko was ideal since she would’ve been a greater help to the people than I would’ve been.” You looked up to see Satoru’s pained expression. “Stop doing that…weighing your worth with logic. If I had to choose between the both of you I would’ve chosen you. Not because you would’ve been a better help but because I…still love you and I would always choose you over everyone.”
Your heart dropped hearing those words come out of Satoru’s lips. No. “No…Satoru I…,” You hesitated unsure if you should continue this charade of denying your true feelings for him. But you were aware that if you had asked him to, he would destroy the world for you. But that wasn’t what you wanted. You wanted to show the Gojo clan that you love him because he was Toru. Not because he was Gojo Satoru. “I…don’t love you anymore…,” Your heart broke as you saw the broken-hearted expression on his face, “Besides I shouldn’t be your priority…they should be,” You stated as you pointed at Yuuji, Nobara and Megumi as you walked away. Satoru watched you walk away. Your shoulder slumped as they did when you were hiding the fact that you were crying. He knew whatever it was you said, you didn’t mean it. Which meant you had still loved him too.
He followed you outside the tent to see you facing Riko. Fuck. You stared at Riko who had a bewildered look on her face. You notice her gaze move through you as she softens her gaze and runs past you into Satoru’s arms. “Babe!” You turned around to see her in Satoru’s arms. His eyes locked into yours. “Riko…what are you doing here?” You were unsure why you weren’t able to move your feet no matter how much you willed it to do so. Somehow you stood there as if whatever it is you just heard was not real. Riko couldn’t possibly be dating Satoru. Right? I mean she was just a kid when you all met her. But your heart clenched as you realized that you guys weren’t kids anymore. “I heard about the attack and I got worried so I raced towards the school as soon as I could. I’m glad you’re okay.” “I'm good, princess…see?” Gojo replied as he flailed his arms around. Princess. Somehow a nickname you once adored suddenly you hated again. You chuckled to yourself as you bit the inside of your cheek trying to stop any tears that tried to escape turning around but somehow still stuck in place. Of course he moved on. You were still frozen in place but as soon as you heard Satoru and Riko’s footsteps get farther away from you it was like you were free to move again. Fuck.

“Y/N!” Afraid that you would burst into tears in front of not just Shoko but in front of the students who suddenly have turned their attention to the both of you, you bit your tongue. You winced in pain. The taste of blood triggers your memories of living as a corpse in your family’s basement. It was something you had always done when your mother would strike you until you were unable to stand. It became a hard habit to break. You remembered whimpering in pain. And if you had cried she would only pounce at you some more. The sudden twinge of pain from biting your tongue calms your nerves, pivoting suddenly and turning towards Shoko with a smile. The best smile you can conjure up. It was something you had been good at. Taught at a young age how to smile for the public even with a broken rib. To hide how you felt to survive. But eventually it was also something the trio was able to look past. Shoko looked at you with a pained look on her face. “Y/N…Toru he–”
“I’m fine! Shoko I just forgot that I had to grab something from my lug–” She interrupted you with a sudden hug. Suddenly you were sixteen again and here you were struggling to survive…to breathe freely in a world that wasn't the cold dark basement you had grown familiar with. And here again a decade later was Shoko with her healing touch. You had thought that maybe moving away had helped you fight the demons inside your head but in her arms you knew that you had just silenced them for a moment and learned to live alongside them in the shadows. You had never really faced them. You dug your head deeper into her arms and the tears just flowed. “Shoko…I wish I could tell him…I wish I could just tell him everything but being a Gojo is everything to him.” She petted your hair as she ran her hand down your back,” Shh…I know…I know… everything…” You stopped crying, lifting your head up you felt a sense of confusion, “What?”
“When the clan called on you I was there…I heard what they said. I thought that you were going to tell us. I thought that you were gonna ask Sugu and I for help…I’m sorry that we made you feel like we weren’t safe enough to talk to when they forced you to make a choice.” You shook your head. You never thought that even once this whole decade. You stepped away from her crying into your hands. You were thinking about how much this hurt Shoko. To know the truth about everything but was unable to tell anyone. “No…Shoko…I never…I just didn’t want to…” Shoko took a step towards you to reassure you that she didn’t hate you for your choice. She never once hated you for how you handled a shitty situation chucked to you as a child. Especially not by adults who had promised to protect you. She had only wished she was able to help you more, “Maybe I can help…Tell Toru what it was that–” BOOM.
It was an attack.
Shoko looked around with a confused look on her face. How was she okay? How did she end up outside of the pavilion that just collapsed? Then she remembered hearing you clap before the loud boom. She looked around to find a tree standing where she had been just mere seconds ago. Turning her head to where you had been standing just seconds ago she saw a huge mountain of rubble. She heard ringing in her ear from the loud noise, which left her a little disoriented . “Y/N!!” Shoko yelled at the top of her lungs, panic was distinct in her voice. In desperation she called out to Satoru and Suguru. “PLEASE ANYONE! I can’t find her!” Shoko felt the tears in her eyes. Please. She begged that you were okay. Please. She fell to the ground as she noticed your shoe right outside the mountain of rubble. She picked up the shoe to realize that it had been wet. Staring at the vivid cherry colored liquid on her hand. She panicked as she looked around for any sign of you when she saw the blood seeping through the debris. She yelled for Satoru and Suguru in desperation one more time before she started to dig through the wreck. Her fingers were bleeding after cutting herself from the sharp edges of the fallen debris. “Shoko…what are you?” She turned around to find Satoru standing over her. Suguru appeared right behind him, his eyes widening as he noticed the blood. “Y/N…she’s under here.” Shoko stated as she stared at the rubble. Satoru’s eyes widened as he took a step forward, “No…No…” Using his curse technique he lifted the rubble so easily. There he finds your body miraculously not crushed by the wrecked parts of the pavilion. Still there was blood staining your clothes. You were hurt. You gave him a weak smile. “T-Toru…I–” You coughed up some blood. Your body was at its limit. “I’ve got you princess…I always got you…” After hearing those words you released your technique. Unsure if it was muscle memory but your body knew that if you heard those words you were gonna be okay. You took one last breath in before closing your eyes.
“Y/N! You’re too slow!” Heavily breathing you lunged at Satoru with a spear as he dodged it…again. You groaned, “Just once I want to be able to hit you just once.” Satoru laughed, “Oh come on princess, then it’s not sparring, I just become target practice.” You scoffed, “Doesn’t sound too bad especially if you keep calling me princess. You know I don’t like that nickname.” Satoru laughed at you mockingly as he kept avoiding your attacks. He watched as your cheeks just got redder as you continued. He was worried that you were going to pass out from the heat. “Okay let’s take a rest before you hurt yourself.” You groaned again as you took off the uniform jacket and fanned yourself with your sweat-soaked t-shirt. “Fine.” Satoru watched as beads of sweat dripped down from your face to your chest. The sweat soaked t-shirt practically transparent, he swiftly threw his jacket over you as he heard footsteps from behind. “Hey!”
“Shut up!” You then suddenly hear Suguru and Shoko laughing down the hall. “No and then he…woah are you two okay?” You tilted your head confused, “What do you mean?” Suguru placed an ice cold sports drink on your cheeks, flinching letting out a little moan of pain as the cold drink touched your warm cheeks. “Ow…” Satoru watched Suguru laugh as he handed you the sports drink. He felt a tinge of jealousy as your cheeks turned even more red. “Yeah exactly, you look like you're dying of heat exhaustion. And why are you still wearing the uniform jacket?” You glanced at Satoru who was now looking down at the drink that Shoko had brought. “It helps with conditioning my body for extreme temperatures.” Shoko laughed at your remark, “All that training would be useless if you die Y/N. You have to take care of your body more.” You pouted as you ran towards Shoko hugging her, “I mean it’s not even my jacket…” You then glared at Satoru’s direction, “Someone just suddenly threw his jacket at me. When I was trying to cool down.”
“Well I mean her…sh-shirt is...” You tilted your head unsure of why the arrogant Satoru was suddenly flustered. Then you looked down at your sweat soaked t-shirt and you noticed that your bra was seen through it. You felt the heat of your cheeks turning red in an instant as you covered your chest, “P-Perv! Toru you’re a pervert!.”
“Huh? ME? You’re the one who just just took off their jacket in front of me. A man.” You laughed, “A man? You? Please Toru. I won’t see you as a man for as long as I live.” Pissed off, Satoru laughed, “And I will never see you as a woman, just a little girl who can barely land a punch.” With that you scurried away huffing with anger. You weren’t sure what it was about Satoru but whatever he did he pissed you off. It was his arrogance. His arrogance was based on nothing but the fact that he was a part of the Gojo clan and that he was born with those eyes.
Satoru watched you hurry away. He chuckled because no matter how pissed off he was at you the way you moved was so cute. You were like an angry rabbit. He knew that no matter how pissed off you always get you would still bless him with that pure and innocent smile. The smile that made his heart skip a beat. “You know Satoru, if you like her you shouldn’t be so mean to her it’s not like we are still in grade school.” Satoru sighed at Suguru’s comment. “Go apologize and tell her you love her.” Satoru threw a punch at Suguru who blocked it, “Tsk. Always acting like you know everything. Shut up.”
With Suguru's advice Satoru followed you so he can apologize. He knew how hard you were working but he wanted you to catch up soon so that you could start to fight alongside him. “Hey Y/N…” Satoru stopped in his tracks as he watched you sitting on the floor looking at an injured squirrel. Typical. He figured you were going to pick it up and cry about how you wanted to take care of it. Shocked as he watched you pick it up and break its neck instantly killing it. He watched your dull expression as you held the lifeless squirrel in your hand. He flinched. It wasn’t something he expected you to do. “Hey, What are you doing?” He asked as he took the squirrel’s dead body away from you. He caught a glimpse of your eyes. It was as if you were a different person. They were hollow and dark; it was the eyes of someone who knew what they had done and meant it. Satoru pried the squirrel's body from your hands and placed it by the tree where it had probably fallen from.“Y/N! Why did you do that?” He shook you as you glared up at him. “Why? The squirrel was in pain Toru…it was gonna die anyway.” Satoru looked at her in shock. This wasn’t the Y/N he knew. But he knew for the first time he was seeing you for who you were. Cold. “You didn’t have to kill it…we could’ve nursed it back to health.” You laughed almost mockingly, “How do you know it would’ve lived? What if it suffered even more if we had let it live?” He looked at your eyes. He knew you weren’t talking about the squirrel anymore. “Weak things die…it’s how the world works Toru.”
He looked at you with a distressed look in his eyes. In this moment, he wanted you to forget the pain you were forced to bear before coming to Jujutsu. For the first time ever since he had met you he reached out his arms. He placed his hands lightly on the back of your head as he pulled you into a gentle embrace. “I’ve got you princess…I always got you…” It was as if the anxiety that blanketed over you since the day you were rescued was lifted, you felt a sudden relief. You cried as you dug your head deeper into Satoru’s arms. “Toru…I…” He looked at you, placing a hand on your chin as he lifted it, bending down a little until his lips touched yours. He knew that whoever you become he will always love you. And he will always follow you.

“This is Yamaguchi Y/N. She’s a new transfer student starting today.” You felt their gaze, you knew they were observing the bruises and the scars on your arms.
‘Look at you, you look like a disgrace to this family.’ You bit the inside of your cheek as your mother’s words echoed through your mind. You were just embarrassing yourself at this point. You just wanted to crawl into a ball and die. Just like they wanted you to but for some reason you didn’t die. You were still here.
“Woah, Sensei, where did you find her…? She’s all beat up.” You had hoped that they wouldn’t bring it up but of course one of them did. The raven-haired one who’s slanted eyes made it seem as though he was glaring at you. But you knew he was observing you. Feeling more self-conscious, you looked down ashamed of your disheveled appearance. You lifted your hand fixing your hair a little bit as if that would have made a difference in making you look less pathetic than you must look to them.
You felt your face get warm as the redness covered your cheeks all the way up to your ears as you heard one of them start laughing. He was amused by how adorably you were trying to fix your appearance by fixing your hair. He thought it was amusing that after what it looked like you had been through before this very moment you were still like everyone girl he knew. But to you that laughter filled your whole being with irritation as it seemed as though he was making fun of you.
“Fixing your hair won’t hide your bruises.” His tone was gentle but his words were sharp. You knew that wasn’t gonna do anything but still you were a bit flustered that he had acknowledged it. You looked up glaring at the white haired boy who laughed at your appearance. At first you were astonished by his beguiling azure-colored eyes incapacitating you for a minute rendering you unable to think of a good comeback. “Satoru!” You turned your head to the only girl in the group. You watched as she smacked Satoru in the head, you flinched as she suddenly turned towards you with her hands in the air. You had switched to your defensive mode. Shoko watched you flinch, heartbroken by your reaction she retracted her hand. Whatever it is you went through it was a lot more than she can probably imagine, “These guys are just insensitive; they have never been around another girl other than me of course. But I, on the other hand, am ecstatic about you being here.” You widen your eyes in shock, you have never heard those words before.
Someone for the first time in the sixteen years you had been roaming this earth was glad you were around…glad you were alive. Tears welled up in your eyes as you were unable to hold back these emotions as suddenly you were reminded that you were no longer in the dreadful basement. You were free. You were finally free. Jujutsu High has set you free from that basement, from living as a corpse. With tears in your eyes you smiled up at the trio. “Thank you.”
Satoru’s heart skipped a beat as he saw your innocent and pure smile. He watched as you began bawling, sitting down on the floor in front of you. He wanted to comfort you at this moment. They all did. But they were all afraid that you might break in their arms. Your small stature, sunken eyes and your frail arms. They felt if they were to touch you, you would break. He knew whatever it was you had been through was over and you were feeling nothing but an overwhelming feeling of relief.
“Y/N! Earth to Y/N.” You snapped back into reality shaking your head as you were unsure of why suddenly you were remembering the past. Maybe it was because you were back in Jujutsu High in Tokyo or maybe because you had bumped into the trio. “Did you hear anything I said at all?” You laughed, “I’m going to be real honest with you, Hime but no. Sorry. I was lost in thought.” Utahime sighed as she shook her head, “I was going to ask if you had told Suguru, Shoko or…anyone that you were back?” You heard the awkwardness in her tone as she tried to avoid saying Satoru’s name. You shook your head, “I mean I met them this morning at a cafe I was with Miwa.” Utahime sighed, “They are most likely gonna ask me why I didn’t tell them about you…” You laughed nervously, “Sorry…Just tell them I had asked you to keep it a secret. Besides, I honestly didn’t think that I would be taking Mei Mei’s place this year. I wasn’t planning on having them find out I was back…It wouldn’t do us any good anyways.” Your face suddenly displayed a dejected look. Utahime knew little of what happened between you four but she knew that you had loved Satoru more than anything in the world. It was a shock to everyone in the Kyoto school at that time for you to suddenly leave Tokyo, especially while Satoru was still recovering. Afterall, your love story was popular through out the whole school. There wasn't anyone enrolled in Jujutsu High that didn't know about Y/N and Gojo. Even as a group the four of you were the strongest team in the last century.
“Well how did it feel?” You played with the coffee cup in your hand trying to put into words the euphoric feeling of looking into his eyes again. “I–”
“Satoru!” You flinched at the mention of his name. “What did you tell Principal Yaga?” You heard Satoru’s footsteps get closer to where you and Utahime had been. “I asked him why they let an outsider teach our kids. Especially one that never graduated from Jujutsu High.” You knew he was trying to grasp your attention. “Hey!” Utahime yelled.
“She did graduate Jujutsu just not in Tokyo! She graduated in–”
“Hime!” You interrupted. You clenched the cup in your hand. You didn’t want anyone from Tokyo finding out that you had been in Kyoto this whole time. Because you knew that if they found out that you had been hiding this whole time they would maybe hate you even more than they already do. “You were in Kyoto…this whole time.” You felt yourself shrinking into your chair. He was angry. I mean you would be too. You wanted to cry so bad because you hated when he was angry especially when he’s angry with you. You shook your head. “No…” It was partially the truth. You had moved overseas for a bit to try to find your purpose after losing Satoru and your friends. You couldn’t find yourself strong enough to hide each time you knew they were in town. You knew that if you had stayed in Japan you would be the first to break. I mean they were the first people you knew and loved after being deprived of it for so long in the basement of your family’s home. The Gojo clan was right. You wanted to find out for yourself if you were attached to Satoru because you actually loved him or because you were just comfortable.
But by the time you had found the answers to your questions it was too late. You had been gone for too long and he had hated you. I mean if he left you the way you left him you would also hate him. “I was in Korea for a while…fighting there. I just came back a year and a half ago…”
“Satoru…it’s all in the past come on…” Suguru said gently. “Why can’t you just be honest with us? Why did you leave?” You scoffed at Suguru’s comment, “If it was that easy you think he would be looking at me like that?” You turned your head to see Satoru’s eyebrows crinkled in the middle. He was looking at you with anger. And you felt his anger through his glares. “You used to look at me with love and gentleness Tor–”
“Don’t call me that. You can’t call me that.” He watched your expression change from sorrowful to hurt. He knew what he said had hurt you but you hurt him. “Right…Sorry Gojo-sensei. Hime I need a second…I’ll be right back.”
“Y/N!” Shoko called back as you stepped out of the room. “Really Satoru? Do you even know why she made the decision she did back then?” Satoru scoffed, “Why do you?” Shoko shook her head. She knew but it wasn’t her place. All she knew was she wanted to fix the both of you. Instead she thought that if only they had been stronger…if only Satoru had been stronger then he would’ve been able to protect you from his own clan. And maybe today would be different. He would be different. You would be different.

“Isn’t that…?” You turned your head to notice what it was your dearest student had been earnestly looking at. It was someone you could never forget. A sudden sentimentality lurking inside of your thoughts. A feeling that had been neglected for the past decade that it is now darting back into the front of your consciousness. You were aware that there could only be one person that had white hair that glowed under the sunlight, whose laugh would fill up the whole room as he walked in. Whose gaze alone took your breath away.
“Satoru…”
“Gojo-sensei!” Both phrases were said in unison. You unconsciously spouted out his name, unbeknownst to you he had heard you. I mean how could you know since your student had blurted his name loud enough for the whole cafe to turn their heads. He looked in your direction and you were sure of it even though he had covered his eyes with a mask. Unaware of when he had started to wear that mask you still felt him ogling you from under it. Because of a familiar feeling that took you years to recognize as his gaze. The gaze he always compared to that of god. The gaze that allowed him to see all. Also you were so sure he was looking your way because your student had said his name loudly. He visibly seemed shocked to see you. Which made sense since it had been a decade since you had last seen one another. But maybe it was because your student was busy idolizing him. You watched as he smiled at your student signing the notebook she had brought out for him. For her he was Gojo Satoru, the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer of our time. But to me he was still the same old Satoru. He lifted his mask and once again you drew a sudden breath. He still had those same beautiful blue eyes that seemed to have mirrored the sky above us, the same air of arrogance that you both despised and adored, and looking to his left and right you noticed that he still surrounded himself with the same two people who you were painfully aware meant more to him than the world. “Oh hey it’s Y/N.”
You smiled softly at the tall raven-haired man, “Suguru…you guys haven’t changed at all.” Suguru gave you a gentle smile as he heard you say his name with such gentleness. A gentleness that he had missed. That he knew Satoru had missed. But little to his knowledge you also cherished that smile since it always brought you a sense of comfort. But now it brings you nostalgia and an allusion of pain. Remembering how often you relied on these three for comfort. As much as they were your safe place they were also the very reason why you were unable to fully trust anyone else. A sudden wave of sadness overcame your mind. You hated how distant and how different you four were now. Compared to ten years ago. You hated your stubbornness. “We will take that as a compliment coming from you, that is.” Your smile gets bigger as you place your gaze on a woman placed to the right of Satoru almost as if that was where she belonged and no one else can fill that spot. Her hair may have gotten longer but that was the voice of someone you knew very well. “Shoko… I mean Dr. Ieiri now right?” She nodded with a bright smile. “It’s been so long, Y/N, since we last saw you but you can always just call me Shoko just like you always have.Unless you want me calling you Sensei?” You let out a chuckle.
Nodding as your smile disappears remembering the night you all last saw one another. “Yeah well considering the circumstances I don’t think it would’ve been possible for all of us to see one another like this. At least willingly.” You looked down on your feet as you felt a pang of pain flow through your chest. Because ten years ago you would never have thought that these three would ever leave your side. Before you can fall further into that pain you were starting to feel you heard Satoru scoff. You quickly raised your head not aware you were glaring at him. It was a habit of his. Thinking that nothing will ever be his fault. “You were more than welcome to come see us...You knew that but you just chose not to.”
“Chose…” You laughed at his choice of words, the prominent sound of pain in your voice catching Satoru off guard instantly regretting the words that left his mouth. Still not getting rid of his horrible habit of speaking before thinking. “Chose…you make it sound like we all even had a choice at the time. There was only one time we were given a choice…and I think it’s safe to say that those choices lead to this very moment.” You watched as Satoru balled up his fist, shaking as if he wanted to say something but was hesitating to. This time he was thinking to himself whether this was the time and place. But this wasn’t the time or place to argue because he knew all too well that you would just argue back. You were both stubborn and that much he remembered and was all he needed to stay quiet. You watched as he unclenched his fist. “Okay you guys it’s been years can’t we just all get along?” You turned your head to Shoko with a smile.
“Yeah Sensei…But are you all here for the competition?” You watched as your student hurriedly changed the subject. She was unaware of what had happened between the four of you but she had noticed the change in your demeanor. After all, you had always been careful about how you carried yourself amongst your students. “Yes…It’s the first time our school is participating in something like this…but please don’t underestimate us.” Suguru chuckled, “We can never underestimate anyone who had been learning jujutsu under THE Y/N.” You rolled your eyes as you chuckled at his remark, “Just know that these kids worked hard. So I hope your students don’t hold back.”
“Oh they won’t.” Satoru said with a hint of haughtiness. You scoffed, “Good.” You were competitive and he was aware of that. And for some reason he loved seeing you riled up. He missed your spurts of passion in the field when things had always looked as though you would lose just to turn it around and successfully purify a curse. He missed the way your wavy crimson colored hair fell over your shoulders. The way your hazel eyes glistened in the sun or the way your lashes curled as he watched you sleep after a job. He missed the way you snored. He missed you.
“Y/N…where are you going?” You turned your back on Suguru as you packed your bags. You were unsure of where it was you were heading but you knew that if you stayed that both you and Satoru would not be the only ones to suffer the consequences of the choice you make right here. “They…they are sending me on a mission Sugu…” You looked down, biting the inside of your cheeks to stop yourself from crying. You didn’t want to lie but if he knew the truth. That you weren’t coming back he would try to stop you and you knew that. So you lied. “They said it’s a secret and won’t tell me the details about it…” Surguru clenched his fist because somehow he knew something was off. He knew you were lying. “When will you be back?” You hurriedly zipped up your bag and turned around with a smile. “Soon!”
Suguru looked down because he didn’t want to see your face. If he saw your face now he would know instantly that you were lying. He knew that if you were coming back you wouldn’t have taken the ring that Satoru had given you. You wouldn’t have taken the photo of the four of you by your bedside. You wouldn’t have taken your treasures with you. In this moment, maybe if he was a little more desperate he would’ve grabbed Satoru so he could stop you because he knew he would be the only one who was able to. But he trusted your choices because you were never wrong. He doesn’t know why you were leaving despite knowing how much Satoru loved you. But he trusted it was for the best. Afterall, you have always been the less reckless half of the whole that was you and Satoru. “See you soon Y/N.”
She smiled one last time at you before turning her head. “Yeah…see you soon…Tell Toru that I love him.” You heard Suguru chuckle, “You tell him yourself.”
