legitimately my first feminist awakening as a ten year old child was realizing that girls were expected to respect “boy stuff” but boys were never expected to respect “girl stuff”
#i remember a boy in school mocking me and my friends for reading a “girly” book#so i challenged him and his friends to read it#and we'd read a boys book of their choosing#anyway tldr the boy said he really enjoyed the girls book and we were cool after that
