Credit : @goldenstrandz 📽 @takira.thompson @tasalahq @wandaanicole @arianna_lyf Review on the Camille Rose Honey hydrate leave in..... $13.99- 9 fl oz. It smells👃🏼 like honey. The consistency is like syrup you put on your pancakes 🥞. Now this is where you decide whether you want super hydrated hair but full on shrinkage no matter how much you stretch your hair 🤔😏 This product was used on two different people but on two different styles. I bunned my hair and my ends were twisted at the ends and tucked. It was wet for basically 4 days which is normal for when I bun but it was a little more moist than normal. The first day my hair was more shinier than usual and defined. The next day we got rain (it barely rains where I'm at so this was shocking) and my hair got frizzy. It wasn't frizzy enough for me to care about going outside but it was a big difference from the previous day. Honey is a humectant which means it draws moisture into the hair and that was actually what it was doing and causing my hair to frizz. My client's hair was in twist and his hair stayed wet for 4 days as well, frizzed out a lot with in 24 hrs and shrunk up tremendously. Everyday he stretched his hair and it kept shrinking up because it was so moisturized. He actually disliked it because of that reason😖 While applying on my wet hair, it sounded👂🏽 like I was applying soap to my hair and I felt like I could do a wash and go alone with that product because my curls was defined😮😎 It was different on dry hair though! It spread like I was applying a light based petroleum product or very spreadable honey on the hair. It gave the hair high sheen as well. The first thing you notice is the product isn't super wet to the touch as well. The odd thing is that water isn't the first ingredient but aloe leaf juice is the 4th ingredient but is 99% water and 1% nutrients 😎 For the most part I think most will agree they like this product but I think this is a love hate product. If you have fully embraced your shrinkage then you will loooove this product. One 👍🏻, my final stamp. Also if you have to refresh mid week you can simply add water and oil because this product is super concentrated. https://www.instagram.com/goldenstrandz/p/BrNybafAwF4/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=lmj5gk2ii3hh

This year and a half has went so quickly for me and I don’t regret transitioning at all opposed to the big chopping. It eases you into dealing with another texture that you aren’t use to and not shocking you with a drastic low cut that could possibly put you in shock/depression😯 Yes it’s that serious for some👌🏼 I am really glad that doing the minimum to my hair during this transition to natural hair also has worked out for me. Majority of the journey I have been mostly in a bun for the week, stretching my hair by blow drying hair on warm or cool and refreshing (re moisturizing my hair twice that week and applying gel of choice). No twist outs or braid out because I felt that was too much manipulation that could cause unnecessary breakage. I just made sure I washed and deep conditioned weekly and refreshed my hair every few days so hydration was definitely there. Yeah I do get bored with wearing the same bun but then again I love seeing my texture every week and treating them weekly and seeing them improve 💆🏽‍♀️ My plan is to cut at the 2 year mark but honestly most likely it will probably be this summer 😏 After seeing my hair after finger detangling for the first time and seeing my curls clump, it does make me want to 💇🏽‍♀️ but I know the few inches from the relaxed hair adds a little more to my bun and I know shrinkage is crazy. I even avoided the blow dryer this week and my bun is super shrunken 🤣 so I know these relaxed ends are here to stay for a few more weeks.

NEVER EVER DETANGLE CURLY/COILY HAIR DRY🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏾‍♀️🙅🏿‍♀️🙅🏼‍♂️🙅🏽‍♂️🙅🏾‍♂️🙅🏿‍♂️ The hair should be damp or wet with slippery product on the hair. When the hair has fresh moisture, it is more pliable and hydrated enough to stretch (has good elasticty) with way less breakage. You can also apply a nice layer of oil to help the WIDE TEETH COMB or brush glide through the hair easier but damp/wet is better💦🤷🏽‍♀️ Always start detangling from the ends and slowly work the tangles gently out the hair up to the roots💯 Will you give this a try? If you detangle your hair dry, try detangling like the way above and compare how much hair you lose. Make sure it's the same time frame you usually detangle and not weeks or days later because that matters how much you will shed being that you lost 50 to 100 strands of hair a day. ✍🏼 Also take note that there is a difference between shedding hair and breaking hair. Detangling on dry hair will have both shedded hair and more breakage than detangling on wet/damp hair so the amount of hair in the comb or brush will be higher. When combing or brushing dry textured hair, it is forcing the hair to do what it doesn't want to do and the hair will snap😒🤷🏽‍♀️💥 Curls like to to be clumped so loosen them up with a drink💦🤷🏽‍♀️😊 #hairstyle #love #haircut #hair #detanglinghair #naturalhair #longhair #curlyhair #transitioninghair #haircare #relaxedhair #hairtips #goldenstrandz #haircare #hairideas #hairfeatures #moisturizedhair #longhairdontcare #shorthair #kinkyhair #hairstyles #haircolour #2018 #healthyhair #protein #detangledhair #happynewyear To learn how to properly care, keep your hair moisturized, and grow your hair stronger/longer click the  link in my bio!💯💁🏽💁🏻💁🏼💁

Some may think washing your hair is bad because you are cleansing the hair and cleansing results in drying out the hair. Wash day is actually essential and one of the the most important days because that is the day you are resetting your hair and giving your hair a clean slate to accept moisture. Over time, even after co washing mostly, products stick to the hair and you will notice 3 things. The hair is not as shiny as when you first shampooed it, your hair is becoming stiff and weighed down, and the hair is becoming dry. This is because the oils, butters, and other ingredients other than water adhere to the hair and they begin to weigh down the cuticles. It also gunks up the hair and makes the hair dull. Yes I know co washing is life, but here and there you must get all that gunk off your hair and give it a fresh start again💯 Your deep conditioner/ styling products will also be able to penetrate the strands more and accept the benefits that the conditioner has to offer and flourish from it💁🏽‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️💁‍♀️〰️➰➿ 2nd page: Which one do you use most of the time? Credit 📽️: @patricia_varela 70% of women in the U.S color their hair. Knowing how to preserve your color in between appointments is very important for client's. You want to look good in between appointments and not have to worry about going to see your stylist much earlier then you expected 😣🤦🏼‍♀️💲 ☑️Avoid products that have sulfates in them and go for products that say for color treated hair. Colored treated safe products are less aggressive on the hair and does not contain ingredients that dry the hair out which would cause the color to bleed right off of the hair and result in dull color. Products formulated for color treated hair leaves the hair shiny, with less color bleeding for a longer time in between re coloring. ☑️Use water that is more cool and not warm/hot temperatures which opens the cuticles up on the hair making the color easily run off of the hair. ☑️Try and wash your hair less so you aren't washing much of the color off of the hair down the drain. Reach for dry shampoos occasionally that's for color treated hair so there isn't any alcohol in the product that would dry the hair out . ☑️ When getting your hair freshly colored, wait at least two days to wash your hair. ☑️If not shampooing your hair, keep your hair from getting wet in the shower with a shower cap or by putting your hair up and out of the way in a bun. ☑️Use products that have UV protection on them because sun can really fade hair color very quickly or wear a hat. ☑️Try to avoid heat as much as possible. Dyed hair gets much drier faster than undyed hair. You will find that you have to moisturize much more often, so adding heat into your regimen will further run the risk of damage. But if you must use heat, use heat protectant everytime you do. Heat protectant only protects the hair by 50% so still be careful. ☑️Never use clarifying shampoo, unless you are just about to go get your hair recolored. Doing so right after re coloring will fade the color super fast🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ To learn how to properly care, keep your hair moisturized, and grow your hair stronger/longer click the  link in my bio!💯💁🏽💁🏻💁🏼💁

Credit 1st 📽️: @m_shmurdaaa Credit: 2nd 📽️: @kayaloveshair I notice that so many confuse low manipulation styles with protective styles. There is a difference between the two and it's quite simple. Low manipulation styles are styles where you manipulate the hair less, hence the low manipulation part but the ends are exposed. Protective styles are when the the ends of the hair is hidden, whether it's in a bun or in a weave. The ends of the hair start to lose moisture the fastest so keeping them covered is essential for maintaining moisture and reducing breakage. If the ends are hidden, it's protected😎👏🏽 Both are good for retaining length because the less manipulation of the hair, the less there is risk for breakage. 💁🏽‍♀️ This is essential for those with curly hair because each indent where the curl meets is a weak point in the hair. So everytime you comb or brush curly hair, there is a chance you will break hair and the curlier the hair, the higher the risk of breakage there is when manipulating the hair. Both are styles that are kept for a few days and not combed and brushed everyday. Do you do mostly low manipulation styles or protective styles?🤔 #hairstyle #love #haircut #hair #cutting  #naturalhair #longhair #curlyhair #transitioninghair #haircare #relaxedhair #hairtips #goldenstrandz #haircare #hairideas #hairfeatures #moisturizedhair #longhairdontcare #shorthair #kinkyhair #hairstyles #lowmanipulationstyles #2018 #healthyhair #protein #protectivehairstyles #happynewyear To learn how to properly care, keep your hair moisturized, and grow your hair stronger/longer click the  link in my bio!💯💁🏽💁🏻💁🏼

Photo credit: @berrayadarriell First off let me start off by busting one of th most common myths about trims. TRIMS DO NOT, I REPEAT, TRIMS DO NOT MAKE THE HAIR GROW FASTER 😱 Have you ever watched someone cut their hair really short and you think big mistake 🤦🤦🏽‍♀️ and then a year later their hair is way longer than your hair and you are like 😯 It's because they stopped damage and wasn't afraid to get rid of damaged inches to get healthy inches that would actually stay😎 What trims do is stop the breakage in it's tracks and the hair starts to actually retain length instead of breaking. When you keep those nasty split ends, the hair continues to break up the hair and cause havoc to other healthy strands nearby. They cling and wrap around healthy strands causing knots and tangles. Even though hair is growing no matter what, it is breaking way faster than coming in. You can grow a inch in a month and lose 2 inches because of the damaged, fragile split ends. Do you and your hair a favor and stop avoiding trims and get those real inches💁🏾‍♀️💁‍♀️💁🏻‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️📏👏🏽😍 It's never to late to start taking care of your hair and being proud of what is actually growing out your scalp💯👸🏽🤴🏽👸🤴 #hairstyle #inches #haircut #hair #trim  #naturalhair #longhair #curlyhair #transitioninghair #haircare #relaxedhair #hairtips #goldenstrandz #haircare #hairideas #hairfeatures #moisturizedhair #longhairdontcare #shorthair #kinkyhair #hairstyles #realinches #2018 #healthyhair #protein #scalpmassage #happynewyear To learn how to properly care, keep your hair moisturized, and grow your hair stronger/longer click the  link in my bio!💯💁🏽💁🏻💁🏼💁
