fun fact. it literally doesn’t matter if your trauma “wasn’t THAT bad” compared to other peoples. its still trauma and it will affect you the same way. it doesn’t matter how “bad” it was, its something you went through and are continuing to live with the aftermath of, and, no matter what, everything you feel is completely justified.

the owner of this blog is mixed-race white and japanese, two cultures with history of antiblackness. i benefit on a systemic level from racism against black people and nobody should condone that. by not saying anything i would be siding with the police and a system that allows and encourages the murder of black people.

there’s no reason why, in any country, cops should shoot first and ask questions later; why a man putting up no resistance to arrest for writing a bad check should be murdered; why people can commit suicide by calling the police; why police are taught to shoot every threat and automatically assume black people are threats. every single cop in america has to be willfully ignorant of all of this to remain a cop. there is no good cop.
