but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?

genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.

LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.

chapter 2 (written)

Hardly back and you already have to go outside.

You’re finally back and you can’t imagine how long it has been. Your family flew to the US only for the sake of your dad’s job but the real thing is : you hated your time there. For nothing in the world, you would go back to this shitty country. You were grateful to your parents that they made the decision to come back to Korea. But the past month has been very hard for Ni-ki and you : since both of you came in the middle of the semester, you had to catch up with all the courses that you both missed. For you, it was kinda easy. You were always at the top of class since elementary school so studying is easy for you. When you finished all your assignments, you helped ni-ki with his.

“What if we make a deal ?” he said with lovely eyes

“No”

“I didn't say anything !”

“Yeah i know”

He rolled his eyes and finished his last assignment. You laughed and got out of his room. You returned to your room to get ready to meet Sunghoon. You paused in the middle of your room : why did you say yes ? He didn’t had the guts to come talk to you at the welcoming ceremony yesterday night so why now ? Why does he still have your number in his phone ? The more you thought about it, the more you were almost late to the rendez-vous. You chased around your room to find a nice sweater around your mess since you didn’t unpack your things. Yes, it has been a month and you didn’t find the courage to tidy up a bit.

Running down the stairs, you told your parents that you’ll come back real quick and before they could say anything, the door slammed behind you.

Thankfully, you lived near the uni so it will only take you exactly 10 minutes to be in front of the coffee shop with the car. Once in the car, you looked at yourself in the rear view mirror and sighed. You felt weird : knowing that you’ll meet your ex for God only knows the reason and what would you say to him ? Knowing that he’s in the same uni as you and in the same fraternity as your little brother was a lot for you. All those questions made you really anxious but you started the engine and told yourself that you’ve got this. It will be ok.

When you arrived, you could see him in front of the front door talking to someone. You stopped the engine and got out of the car. You slowly walked towards him and when he saw your silhouette, he gently waved to the person and came in front of you. He had a smile on his face but it suddenly faded away when he saw that you were actually feeling anxious. At least, he knows you well.

“Hey, mh… if you want, we can see each other another time or–”

“No, it's fine. Tell me what you wanted to tell me.”

“Can we go inside ? It’s kinda weird to say those things on the streets”

“Sure…”

You both entered inside the coffee shop and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. You both seated and the waiter came right after. He greeted Sunghoon with a big smile and gently waved at you.

“What do you want, guys ?”

“Nothing for me, I'm fine! Thanks !” you said with a little smile

Sunghoon mouthed something to the waiter and he went away from you two. You looked at Sunghoon who was now more anxious than you.

“I’ll go straight to the point. I’m so sorry y/n. I shouldn’t yell at you like I did when we.. I mean you know and I truly regret it.”

“It happened one year ago, it’s fine”

“Well… I wanted to apologize. I thought I wouldn't have any chances to tell you this since you were going back to the US.”

You nodded. You could see in his eyes that he was really sorry. You smiled at him and told him it was okay.

“That’s okay… can we act normal around each other now ? Yesterday was really weird and we will see each other at uni so…”

“Yeah, totally. Sorry for not coming to see you yesterday. I was kinda afraid and I was with Heeseung to welcome your little brother and his friends–”

Oh. This name. You actually couldn’t believe it. You didn’t saw him at the ceremony but now, not only he’s Sunghoon’s friend but he’s also in the same fraternity as your brother. You’ve been staring into space for too long and Sunghoon was waving his hands in front of you.

“Y/n, are you okay ? You didn’t say anything for the past 2 minutes”

“How did you met Heeseung ?”

“Oh, it was last year actually. We were in the same class and he pulled me into this fraternity shit.” he laughed at his own words. He’s still cute when he's doing that.

“Oh okay, and did he–”

You wanted to ask the question : did he know about the two of you ? But something felt wrong, almost like you shouldn’t ask him this. Unfortunately for you, Sunghoon could read in you and he observed your face. You had your response.

“Yes, he knows. Actually, I still talk about you when I'm drunk… But I’m fine now.”

You nodded. It’s gonna be a funny year.
