Interesting choice of words here.  Carol is giving an honest answer, but is it just that she is struggling emotionally?  Or is she also suggesting that she’s not good?  Not a good person because of the things she’s done?  I love the weight of this confession for her.  Daryl’s immediate impulse is to soothe, but her expression remains pensive.  Haunted.

I've started watching the X-Files on Hulu

I was four years old when the show first aired, and my parents only watched it periodically.
