I gotta rant about Asgore for a sec

I'm so sick of people thinking Toriel is the bad parent when Asgore legit watched a girl who is BEST FRIENDS with his own child get scolded by their friends mom so hard...and had the gall to say Carol is "Nice when you get to know her". He didn't even put the snack tray down? Didn't comfort susie at all? Im not saying he's some irredeemable villain but man there is a REASON Toriel divorced him

He also constantly seems to...ignore kris??? The scene after the church , only talking about being a family infront of ASRIEL and never mentioning wanting to be a family for Kris. Asgore only mentions wanting to take them both to the diner once. For a man who loves giving flowers for free because they're for family , people you love...he never gives Kris any flowers The only ones Kris gets are the ones that he failed to give to Toriel

He stalks Toriel even when she's clearly uncomfortable with it , and before you say "Oh its comedic! Its nothing serious! Its for the laughs!" , that whole "Sans is fucking my mom" thing is ALSO for laughs but EVERYONE agrees that Toriel is a bad mom because of it!

Both of Kris's parents have good and bad sides! Both of them are complex! Asgore and Toriel both help , and hurt Kris! Like REAL divorced parents usually are!

When people talk about Jevil and Seam I always feel like Seam is reduced to just "The guy who knew Jevil best before he went crazy"

What about Seams relationship with King? What about Seam knowing about the legend? (More then some other darkeners atleast) how do they know about the shadow crystals? The shadow mantle? Also , correct me if I'm wrong but them and Rouxls are the one shopkeepers who have detailed character portraits , and Rouxls' doesn't even have colour in his

Their name is also very interesting not just cause it's a pun on the fact that they're a plush , but in the JP translation their name gets changed to "Nui". "Nui" does just mean "seam" or "stitch" but its also a generally feminine name. That along with the fact that Seam uses slightly feminine pronouns (in the JP ver.) is pretty cool.

And the way Seam is pronounced like Shawm , which sounds like शाम (Sh-ah-m) in hindi (which means evening) is also a hella fun coincidence

No theories or anything , Im just thinking about Seam...

They have far too much going on just to be the "default" shopkeeper....
